Guest Reviews
- Caputo (10/5): By the sea, so wild and free, it was the perfect place to be!! - I recently stayed with a friend at this lovely apartment by the sea and had a truly wonderful experience. From the very beginning, the staff were welcoming, and available to help with anything we needed. The place itself is charming and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing seaside getaway.
One of the highlights was definitely the beautiful terrace with a sea view, we ended up having all our meals there, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and lovely scenery.
I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay by the coast.
- Hazel (9/5): Superb -
- Pioras (1/5): Bad - I really liked the location. It has a superb view — that was actually my favorite part. From the terrace, you could see the sea on one side and the castle on the other, just like in the photos on Booking. The property is situated higher up, so there’s quite a bit of climbing involved, but that also meant we got some good exercise — a bit of a workout! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the cleanliness, which was far below expectations. The blankets we were supposed to use smelled terrible — we actually had to wash them ourselves in order to be able to use them at night. In the bathroom, the anti-slip mat in the shower was absolutely filthy — calling it "dirty" is an understatement. I even took photos as proof.
There was a strong moldy smell coming from the bathroom, and since it's located very close to the bed, it was unbearable at night, especially because we couldn't sleep with the window open. The bathroom fan was so clogged with dirt and dust that I doubt it was even working properly. One of the toilet brushes was yellowed — clearly not replaced or cleaned in a very long time. Again, I have photos of all of this.
The stove was extremely sticky — so much so that pots would actually stick to it. The washing machine was in terrible condition, but we had no choice but to use it to wash the blankets, as they were unusable otherwise due to the smell.
I reported all these issues to the staff on the second day of our 8-night stay, but I received no reply until the day before our departure. No one came to change the towels the entire time, despite my early messages about the problems.
I’m really sorry that our experience in Alicante was affected by such issues — I wasn’t expecting anything like this, and I’ve never encountered such poor conditions before.
- Kristin (9/5): A little overpriced, but I'd come back for the terrace & proximity to castle/beach! - Location was great! Loved being so close to Saint Barbara castle - I tried running the hill up, which was laughable but fun. On my way down, I was surprised by a pop-up free festival of some local liquor company with a barbecue and tastings! Was lovely. As a solo female traveler, I didn't love walking the area alone at night. Not that it was unsafe, but there was hardly anyone out and no restaurants in the immediate area (quick walk though and you'd make it to the busy areas)! I also loved the place for the fact it was a bit tucked away. Obviously, the terrace is the selling point of this accommodation! Stunning view and very comfortable! The kitchen looked like it had everything, but I didn't use it. Wifi worked well. As others have stated, the bathroom is quite quirky! It's like a motorhome bathroom. The hot water didn't seem to last too long either. The sink is so small I decided to use the kitchen sink for washing my face. I can't believe they haven't tiled the walls so that the water doesn't get through, but it's not my property and it didn't feel dirty so I was fine. I'm very glad I didn't stay there the entire week, but if you're not too picky I think this place would be more than fine! luckily I wasn't sharing the bed with anyone because the pillows were so thin I needed to double them up. Finally, as others have stated, the air conditioning as an amenity is a very generous term. It was extremely loud. For April where the heat isn't too bad, it was fine to turn on for a little while to cool the space and then use the fan at night. I couldn't get the TV to work. I feel this place was a little overpriced, but I'd come back just for that terrace and closeness to the beach!
- Louise (9/5): Superb - Everything was as promised! The sun terrace and the view were perfect. The flat is fairly close to the beach, museums, the fortress, supermarked and restaurant, but still feels very private and not touristy at all.
There are No photos of the bedroom, but it is very nice, with a big bed, tv and large closet. Communication with owner was nice and easy, and I recieved very good directions to find the house. The only reason I’m not scoring 10 of 10 is because I was there in february and the house got cold at night.
- Garry (2/5): Not good - The views outdoor space Mainly the bathroom not to the standard I would expect
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - The terrace and the view The bedding is
- Camargo (10/5): Excellent - The views from the apartment were insanely awesome and Jimmy was really nice! There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom's pipes, but nothing like some cleaning products to help with the smell.
- Strickland (8/5): Alicante Views - The terrace gave some nice outside space to enjoy the view while having breakfast and in the evening /night for drinks.
- Remus (8/5): Very good -
- Jan (9/5): Superb - Great location, tinny house with nice terrace.
