Guest Reviews
- Claire (8/5): - Good value, clean and perfect for one night The lady who checked us in was super friendly, chatty and lovely.
The bar staff no so friendly. All in all though perfect for one night stay when in London

- Nicolas (7/5): Sauber, alt, nicht leise = fair - Gut gelegen nähe U-Bahn. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Britisch halt…

- Ben (4/5): - Not much Very noisy fan outside room
- Tianqi (9/5): -
- Julian (9/5): Great location and good rates. - A great place to stay. Comfortable beds. Good pizza in the pub downstairs. It’s all good. No breakfast, but you can get that instead from the nearby cafes, so not a problem.
- Aristeidis Sarakinos (6/5): - The location is very nice and the staff really kind. Last time I was very happy with room 7 as it had almost everything needed. Room 12 cannot be considered a room for guests. Too small and just the bed and the TV. Nowhere to put your clothes or baggage. Sorry.
- Aristeidis Sarakinos (8/5): - Absolute value for money. Excellent location, 4 min walking from metro station. Many small restaurants and supermarkets around. Room, small but clean. Perfect for a small stay.
- Mary (9/5): -
- Marina (10/5): Everything is fine - Everything is fine There was no trash can and, strangely, the sink in the bathroom was behind the toilet.
- Julian (9/5): Great place to stay in Mile End with easy tube access - Friendly staff, great location, good rates, comfortable bed and pillows. You can’t get breakfast there - but that’s not really a problem as Starbucks or The Coffee Room are very nearby for breakfast.
- John (9/5): Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel with good transport connections to London attractions. - A great place to stay in London at a reasonable cost. The staff were friendly. Room very comfortable and clean. Limited menu to dine in (Pizza), but good places for breakfast and dinner within a few minutes' walk. Good transport links with District and Central Underground lines, as well as bus routes. Good access to hotel and room "out of hours" As it's next to Queen Mary College, there are lots of students, many working. Not a problem for me but could be for others.
- Tim (8/5): A great balance of price and convenience - Great location (just a couple of minutes from the Tube, very convenient for City and central London via Central Line), super-easy check-in and departure, comfortable bed, nice shower, great staff, relaxed vibe, good pizza and selection of beer. Bedroom is not big, nowhere to hang clothes.
- Suzi (7/5): Its good enough for its price, im happy that the bed was clean and comfortable :) and the staff was very very polite, gr - It was clean, bed was very comfortable, it was close to the center - 30 min walk, tiny space for the toilet but the shower cabin was big! The smell from the bathroom, it was very stinky. And constant loud sound from kitchen fan that was right next to my window, so I couldnt open it to get rid of bathroom stench otherwise I would replace it with fried food smell.

- Studený (10/5): - Milý ochotný personál, čistý pěkný pokoj. Kousek od Stratfordu (10min - chůze + metro).
Ideální ubytování v Londýně
- Tim (7/5): A young East-End vibe, super-convenient for The City. - Absolutely brilliant location for The City via the Central Line. 21 minutes from stepping outside the pub to arriving at Paternoster Square next to St Paul’s.
The staff were great, welcoming, relaxed, efficient and super-helpful.
There are loads of places to eat nearby, but I didn’t need to use them because the pizza and the beer in the pub were so good.
The bed was really comfortable, with four gorgeous pillows that felt as plush and generous as in any five-star hotel. I slept very well. There was no wardrobe in which to hang clothes - largely because there wouldn’t have been room for one in the room - but the staff obligingly found me some coat hangers and I improvised by hanging my stuff on the mirror and the TV. Perhaps a hook or two on the wall might help.
- Sharif (8/5): - Suited my purposes fine. Nothing to report.
- Jessica (8/5): Nice affordable stay for 1 night and close to the city with easy transport links - Easy to find, staff were polite and accommodating.
Comfortable spaces The heating didn’t work in my room but staff did swap me to a different room
- Jennifer (7/5): Very pleasant and convenient place to stay. - Great location. Clean room with tea/coffee making facilities. Convenient location, near underground station. The live music downstairs was very loud but it is difficult to know what could be done about that.
- Michael (8/5): For the price and convenience of getting into central London on the tube (about 30 mins) it can’t be faulted. - Good location, very close to tube station and shops. Could have nicer pillows!
- Nila (10/5): -

- John (9/5): Excellent value for money for a London visit. - Friendly staff and very easy check-in process. The room was excellent for the money, Good facilities, comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Convenient to be able to order a snack. The night I stayed there was a quiz night in the bar, mainly attended by University students. It was a little noisy but didn';t disturb me too much.
- Urte M (10/5): - Good value for money. Rooms spacious, attractive, and clean for an affordable price
- Grant Sharkey (9/5): - Nice staff, comfy bed, good shower. Nothing come to mind.
- Kasha (8/5): - Good location and value for the money. Friendly staff. Clean room. The hotel had a nice vibe about it. There was a bit of noice when people were retuning to the rooms in the night as my room was next to fire door.
- Richard (10/5): My second stay and would come again. Vibey rooms and great value - Nice atmosphere, good value, helpful staff All good
- Guest (5/5): Acceptable but bring ear plugs - Fresh bedding, near mile end tube station Noise from pub and extractor fan from restaurant
- Kadall (10/5): -
- Sue (8/5): -
- Melissa (8/5): Great stay! - The location. Nothing
- Tanya-Ann (10/5): -
- Andrea (8/5): - Quiet rooms above pub with very good pizza.
Great location near mile end station and National Express bus to Stansted airport.
- Paula (8/5): -
- Aleksander (7/5): -
- India (10/5): - Lovely place to stay, easy underground access and really nice rooms.
- Charles (8/5): -
- Russell (7/5): -
- Isabel (9/5): Cosy stay in a great location - The location is excellent, in zone 2 of London, just a two-minute walk from Mile End underground station, right next to Regent’s Canal. The area also offers plenty of places to eat or have a drink, including its own pub. The room is small but very cosy, the bed is comfortable, there is air conditioning and, despite being in Mile End, we didn't hear any noise at night. The staff are friendly and deal quickly with any issues you may have. Some rooms are quite small and it might be nice if the room were cleaned a little during the stay. However, the value for money is really good and we felt very comfortable.
- Matthew (3/5): Disappointing - The location was close to a festival we was attending This is the second time myself and my girlfriend came to this hotel, but this time our room was no where near as good.
There was no full body mirror in the room, no wardrobe, tiny bathroom, the blinds were remote controlled and we could not make them go down and finally it seemed like the a/c was making a loud noise for most of the night.
Personally I don’t think the room was worth the 120£ we paid and we won’t be returning.
- katie (3/5): - Great location for all points east festival Our room was tiny despite paying for the deluxe double. The air con didn't work properly so it was very hot. Difficult to use the sink as it was above the toilet and hard to reach over, especially as bathroom was so small. Our room was on a slope, appreciate it is an old building but our legs were higher than our heads in bed. We ended up having to sleep at the bottom. Extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom and as no window got very steamy. Also smelt of drains
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Loved the location. Easy walk from Tube, close to bars, cafes and parks.
Shower was great.
Pizzas in bar downstairs were delicious. Rooms was pretty hot at night and the Aircon was a wee bit noisy to have on all the time.
Limited milk and tea for a 2 day stay..
- Alex (7/5): -
- Amanda (8/5): Good location for ABBA Voyage, few shops and take away close by. - Comfortable bed, good AC, nice toiletries Decor was all blue, inc skirting boards and doors. Lots of marks on walls and skirting boards but when wiped no dirt came off. Window was not able to be opened.
- Ben (8/5): - Right next to the tube station, and great if you’re wanting easy access to food and drinks downstairs (the discount for people staying is a huge bonus too). You do hear the underground rumble a lot, but if you sleep through that it’s totally fine!
- Joseph (6/5): - Property and location were ideal for the cost, and staff were friendly.
Contact hours were an absolute joke. I forgot my keycard at 10am in the morning and wasn’t able to reach anyone until the pub opened at 3pm. So I had no way of getting back into my room until then.
I was at a wedding all day so they added an extra card to a lock box incase I arrived after they closed. However, they gave incorrect instructions on how to access it. Fortunately, there was someone cleaning the pub past 11pm and I just caught them. If not, I would have been completely stranded outside with no one to contact and nowhere to stay.
There needs to be a way of contacting the hotel outside pub hours.
- Stephen (8/5): Over would stay again - Air conditioning was a nice extra and sound insulation from the Mile End road outside was v good. Comfy firm beds. Struggled with show temperature for a while. Very dim lighting and not many places to put clothes etc.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Dimitri (7/5): Good place to stay. - The property is in a great location, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Close to public transport. There was problem with the air conditioner making strange noise during the night even when switched off keeping us awake for some of the night. Reported to staff the next day, hopefully it’s been fixed now.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (9/5): Great room in a great location for a good price. - The room was nice, bathroom facilities brilliant with high-end toiletries. I was expecting it to be loud at night with noise from traffic etc but it was relatively quiet which was nice. Breakfast (brunch) wasn't served until 12pm when check out was at 11am which wasn't very useful for us.
- Brett (10/5): Great rooms, really tidy and modern, lovely staff, lovely pub below and really enjoyed our stay - Very modern room, tidy and clean, free tea and coffee, lovely staff, lovely pub below serving great food and real ales, cocktails etc, got back late and still able to get into rooms with ease, would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the easy end of London, 5 min walk from Mile End underground station too.
- Norah (10/5): Exceptional - Location Liked all, a mini fridge in the room would be nice to keep drinks and snacks cool
- Joanne (5/5): Good, basic accommodations. - its location was the best part. The staff was great. The bar was nice. A little smaller than I anticipated. Toilet and sink set up was unique.
- Leslee (8/5): Very good - The room was clean. Close to tube and places to eat. The bed was comfortable. The fire alarm went off twice through the night and there was a constant thumping throughout the night. Other than that, you could not hear the bar downstairs.
- Tongtong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michalis (7/5): Good -
- Carlos (6/5): Unpleasant noise at the room all the time. - Great location and very friendly staff. It was a terrible noise at my room whole day and night … room 5.
- Pauline (8/5): Generally very good - Mostly a very good experience. Went with my daughter, to celebrate her birthday and meet up with grandson. Reception staff very pleasant. We had a family room that was very nice. My daughter’s single bed was on a slope which made it slightly uncomfortable. The room wasn’t serviced, so we got no milk for our second night, and the bin wasn’t emptied. Being up 2 flights of stairs, we couldn’t face going down to ask about the milk, which I’m sure would have been forthcoming.
- Dimitris (7/5): Good -
- Maya (8/5): Great stay - The staff was friendly and nice. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Aircon and hairdryer was a bonus. Great location. The blinds didn't work properly.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Trevino (8/5): Very good - Bathroom door knob was broken and falling off
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent, very close to the Mile End Tube on the Central Line. Very handy for the Abba Arena. The neighbourhood had shops and restaurants nearby. The family room was spacious and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. Worked well for an adult, preteen, and teenager. Small things needed a bit of attention. The shower head holder was broken, so you had to be very careful when touching it. Otherwise, it would fall down. The toilet paper holder was also falling off the wall. But overall, it was a great stay.
- John (8/5): Clean, modern and comfortable close to public transport -
- Georgina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachel (8/5): Tidy compact room with comfy bed, nice and quiet, everything we needed for a two night stay. Close - Close to tube, quiet. Extractor fan for bathroom would be good as condensation drips from ceiling
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Olivia and her team were very helpful at resolving a small issue we had on arrival - very grateful that she took this on and sorted it out as our schedule meant we couldn't devote any time to it. Thank you!
- Adele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Mattwilliams1 (6/5): Basic, does the job for a night, especially for the price, but double double check what they offer. - Quiet room given it was facing the busy road below. Some staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Good location near restaurants, bus routes and tube stations within minutes walk. Air con worked well. Bar noise was also not an issue at all. Very basic and rather tired. Had to retrieve our own towels from a storage area, strong chemical smell filled the room and unable to open the windows to vent, managed to reduce somewhat with the bathroom door closed and air con on. 1 of the bedside lights wasn't working. Mixed messages on luggage storage - booking.com listing stated it had, checked and confirmed all ok the day before we needed to use, then on the day was told they didn't provide. They provided storage, but it was an old coal cupboard kind of room, so certainly not a proper storage facility.
- Beth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Md (1/5): There is no reception in this hotel, downstairs the building there is pub, for check in need to go pub cashier, and buil - Nothing is there to like There is no reception in this hotel, downstairs the building there is pub, for check in need to go pub cashier, and building are vibrating always, feel like any time collapse the building, housekeeping staff talking each other very loudly in corridor area since morning 10:00 am to till 01:00 pm, how careless they are. it’s not worth it to stay in this hotel.
- Peter (7/5): Helpful staff, good pizza, comfy room at a decent price. - Very easy stay, helpful staff, great distance from the tube and easy access to central London.
Check in/out process was no hassle at all, and even got 10% off in the bar on food and drink. Nothing, it was all good. Comfy room and decent facilities for a reasonable price.
- Geovanna (10/5): I loved it! Feel free to go ahead with the reservation." - We really love this property. Everithing was so organized and clean, the space was perfect. We had water, coffee, tea and milk at the room. The bathroom was so clean too. There are a bar under the room, but after we enter in the room we can't listening nothing, it's perfect to sleep. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Yusuf (3/5): Location is good, the rest was bad - The location was good The hotel staff gave us the wrong room, then the second day, they gave us another room which nothink like the picture of our booked room "large double room", it was much much much smaller and in a way worst shape as you can see in the picture. Then when we asked for compensation they first denied it, gazlighting us that it was normal, didn't even accept to let us put our bags a bit longer after the checkout, then when we insisted they offered 50% refund as they were no other rooms. But now two weeks after we saw no refund and they are not answering us.
- Helen (7/5): Perfectly adequate for a short stay with easy access into central London - Good location as only 5 minutes walk from tube station on central line. Handy of local shops for breakfast. Property was clean, plenty of large towels & basic toiletries. Family room 12 1/2 was spacious for 3 people. Staff were helpful and friendly.
- John (8/5): Nice pub / hotel - Pleasant
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Son (9/5): Superb -
- Ed (7/5): Good place with a good bar and excellent staff. We will stay again. - For us it was a perfect location as it was nearby where our son lived. Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Quirky bar but in a good way. Rooms were very small so no room for a chair or table. Comfortable however.
- Amandine (8/5): Would recommend - Great atmosphere, very handy to have the pub downstairs and good location! The bathroom door did not shut
- Chris (9/5): Good value and a nice place - All good - large room and great facilities Bedroom doors to the rooms close close quite noisily - the only negative
- Alicia (9/5): A great location with comfortable rooms - Only complaint was broken blind which meant the room was flooded with light from outside (and no privacy).
- Grace (9/5): Great value for money, would definitely book again. - Very comfortable room, lovely spacious bathroom. Was worried it would be noisy as above the bar and restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was.
