Guest Reviews
- Graham (1/5): -
- Denis (3/5): The room was not good value for money, you are better off in a hostel - Good location Room was advertised as an apartment. It is not. It is a small room with 2 single beds and a dated bathroom. Key retrieval is 3 blocks away and difficult to find. You cannot leave your luggage at the hotel while waiting to check in or getting or returning your keys. Wifi was terrible
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): Very comfortable and convienient location - Good location, handy to the light rail and a very nice pool area Was next door to a construction site that started every morning at 6:30
- Logan (1/5): Nothing - Really bad, not cleaned Small and dirty
- Jordan (9/5): Awesome stay will be back thank you - Great sized apartment. Equipped with all necessary things, great kitchen, beds were comfortable, bathroom was good size and good water pressure in the shower. The pools were great, easy to find the keys to the property, easy to park, tram right in front of hotel, walking distance to most things. Loved it! Nothing it was great.
- brittany (1/5): HORRIBLE WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND OR STAY HERE AGAIN - Location other than that NOTHING! - To collect the key it wasn’t at the premises and had to walk to another shop elsewhere too collect at least 500m away at 10pm at night with children.
- No staff present to communicate with.
- No daily clean or fresh towels, was provided 1 towel pp for 7 nights.
- No towels provided around the pool like other hotels.
- Room was dirty on arrival and had a constant leak in the bathroom tap our whole stay.
- Overall terrible service for the price!
- Grace (4/5): Needs doing up - The pool Was run down , needs a lot of doing up , wasn’t clean the room smelt and was a joke where you had to pick the key up from.
Was an issue to try get more towels , wouldn’t let us get more pillows.
Dead cockroaches under the lounge.
- Sachin (4/5): Pathetic - Location Cleanliness and cheap furniture
- wazza (1/5): The hotel was nice but the serain residents company was absolutely horrible and tried to scam for false damages for our - The hotel in general was very nice but the seperate elevators to get to different floors was very annoying. The company serain residents was absolutely horrible. The communication was very bad and they tried to charge us for damages that we did not make and were not there when we stayed. It took weeks of fighting to get our $300 deposit back and they continued to change the story to keep our money. Extremely disappointing.
- Ilhana (2/5): - The pool How clean it was it was disgusting
- Michael (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): We had the best time, we have already booked again! - This property is close to beach, the cafes and restaurants and the Cavill avenue precinct. The pool is amazing and all the staff we have met are so lovely. Everywhere is well kept and safe. The bathroom could do with a refurbishment but still fine.
- Guest (7/5): -
- Katrina (7/5): - Location was great. Thai Restaurant was lovely. No beach towels provided. Room was rundown.
- Amy (8/5): -
- Robyn (9/5): - Instructions were clear and the accommodation suited us for one night's stay. Easy walk to the Wharf and restaurants. The noise from outside was very loud if we opened the door to the balcony.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Melissa (4/5): Although their were some minor issues we did enjoy ourselves on the Gold Coast - The location and the view. The bathroom basin tap continuously dripped and drove us bonkers when we were trying to sleep
Shower hot water handle kept falling off.
Found a pair of dirty underwear (not mine or my partners) under the bed when packing up.
Wifi password was incorrect on email.
No soap provided
Shower gel was nearly empty.
Bottom bedsheets were ripped and didn’t fit the bed.
- Greg (4/5): - Tge location and mantra staff were amazing as was the faculties The front door lock did not work communication was horrible the room was in bad sharp no cleaning the bathroom stunk beds were not made proply

- Guest (2/5): Worst hosts ,with the parking ruined our night . Pay the extra and book through crown - Room was ok . I liked it wasn't far from heart of surfers The listing said parking and through emails they assured me I had parking, arrived to no parking and called number and lady spoke over me and they would not listen to my concerns . Really rude actually. I spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to make them understand you can't write a listing to say parking available , then send an email saying I don't need to reserve as I have a parking spot , then send emails saying by availability. There is no availability. Parking for this unit is non existent. The actual mantra staff were beautiful, we'd never book through this company again. Also sofa bed had used tissues in it and also lots of food crumbs . They knew we'd be using it and no one cleaned it . The dishwasher was broken . The shower dripped all night. The unit over looks a construction site and its very noisy. I've travelled all over Australia and this has to be the worst hosts I've ever met . The room itself isn't bad so thats a plus but the hosts left a very sour taste .
Do not do a listing with parking on-site if there is no parking on-site and actually clean the unit between clients
- Guest (8/5): - collecting the key was a bit out of the way. Could change the pick up to the front desk
- Justine (8/5): - I didn’t see any staff apart from the restaurant as we did virtual checkin Our dishwasher was broken so we couldn’t turn it on when we left
- Debra (8/5): -
- Ravinesh (10/5): Excellent place for surfers paradise. - It was next to our Event. It was very close to the tramp station. Minutes walk to the happenings spots in surfers paradise.
The apartment was really spacy and setup just like home. Amazing view. Not enough to mention.
- Christopher (2/5): Construction site from 630AM everyday - 630 AM wake up everyday
Construction site chaos day and night
Facilities are fantastic
dont stay here! This is a construction site.
Got woken up everyday.
Ripped off really
- Donnier (5/5): Passable - Close to center In the room no tea spoons and was dirty
- Paraskevoula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matilda (7/5): Good - Location
- April (5/5): If its an Air bnb booking please stick to that platform - Cleanliness / location Did not realize was a private booking and that keys had to be collected 2 blocks away from tbe hotel.
Due to flight being late / peak traffic had to make alternative arrangements to stay else where the first night as i could not locate the shop where keys were held.
Please don’t advertise on my profile private bookings - i use your platform for its ease and efficiency.

- Mele (3/5): Worst customer service - The location was ok The check in details are really unclear. A lockbox situated away from the residence and nowhere on the instructions does it say entry is via Mantra Crown Towers lobby. If you check in after 10pm good luck as there is no service and when you do get through to customer service they are rude and unhelpful. Worst experience ever with a hotel booking.

- Danielle (1/5): READ THE ROOM DETAIL PROPERLY BEFORE BOOKING. - I didn't stay as the room wasn't suitable for the circumstance and reason as to why i booked in the first place. The room has a smaller than usual bar fridge, double windows with no security screens, 2 single beds, a desk, a small tv, and a shower without any water pressure. There were minimal toiletries provided and no milk as standard in a hotel room when purchased. I might as well have paid for a gaol cell!!.
To add to the insult, I had to disclose my personal circumstance, that being that i was fleeing from being in a domestic violent relationship seeking a secure and appropriately sized place to stay for 3 days with multiple suitcases and 2 eskys full of food. The property owners didn't give any thought, compensation, or refund for this inappropriate booking. It certainly was advertised very differently to how it presented, and so unless you want to stare at 4 walls in a cold, small dorm-like room.
DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!! At minimum, it is not worth the nightly rate! I didn't stay as the room wasn't suitable for the circumstance and reason as to why i booked in the first place. - Rhonda (3/5): Poor - I arrived later in the evening and had to rely on someone who lived in the building to help me find the location for the locked box for the key. Fortunately he had a car or I would have had no idea how to find it and had to walk with my bags into town and back again...
Very unimpressed.
There were still someone elses clothes in one of the drawers that they must have left behind - but clearly it had not been cleaned sufficiently for these to be found!
- Anonymous (10/5): Great apartment great location and great facilities - The property was spacious and clean.Glad building facilities. We liked everything
- Angela (6/5): Pleasant - The facilities The room needs updating, sofa bed was broken as well as tv in living room, dust build up in air vent air con was very loud.
- Eccles (2/5): Very disappointing. A weekend might be OK but if you have a problem there is nobody to help you. - The location was good. The apartment was spacious. The views from the balcony were good with a nice Northerly aspect and also ocean views So many things. The biggest issue was in the 4 weeks I was there the apartment was not serviced once! No fresh towels, no fresh sheets. I had to do all the washing. The other issue is that I never saw a person! Communication was via booking.com and I could not email responses or requests. There was a telephone number which I called a couple of times only to learn the person I was speaking to was based in China
- Jade (8/5): Very good -
- Tristan (10/5): Exceptional - Location Clean and tidy with good facilities
- Tilly (8/5): Very good - It was clean and bed were comfy I liked all of it
- Christina (7/5): Good location, well appointed and clean with a few niggles - Good location, clean and well appointed. Loved the washer and drying rack. There was a dryer as well but we didnt need it The hotel was a mix of privately owned apartments, a Mantra hotel and Serain Residences. We couldn't use the beach towels (and didn't have any). Walking 5mins down the road to get the key was a bit of a nuisance. Having only one fob was not enough, we couldn't get in the pool or lift or room without it so was a challenge to do separate things
- Janice (7/5): Good -
- Lagise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rene (8/5): Very good -
- Davina (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the property was perfect just a couple minute walk and your at the beach. The room was clean, well equipped and a perfect size for our family of 6. Leaving to go home
- Esther (1/5): I couldn’t wait to leave the next day - The pool The fact that I waited outside for 15 minutes two hours after my check in time because cleaning staff was still in my room “cleaning”
- Nancy (6/5): Wouldn’t stay again for simple fact that I had to pick up drop off keys and wash cups etc . - Location was good Picking up and dropping off keys , room had no chair to sit and have a coffee or meal at the table only the bed . No spoons supplied to stir tea/coffee
- Jemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aasa (8/5): A gem for families that need space, aren’t tons of 3bdrm places available. My kids absolutely loved the pools and spas o - Really oversized 3bdrm apartment, lots of space for everyone, great for families. Comfy beds, pretty decent block-out curtains and not too noisy for sleeping. Easy free parking underneath. Tram stop at your door. Awesome to have a full laundry too. The bathrooms were very tired and whilst you could smell the bleach from the cleaning they were a bit lacklustre and worn out/grubby.
Shame the big lagoon pool is freezing, 🥶 the place has an odd feel about it as it’s clearly an old bustling resort that is now mostly empty/privately owned. But overall those things didn’t deter us from having a good time.
- Shimon (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, comfortable and clean
- David (4/5): Disappointing - Location, room sizes The main pool was clean because it didn’t get used. The kids and indoor pool was disgusting. My wife and son ended up with a viral infections/ sick on day 2 there from it most likely. Not maintained and full of unsupervised kids playing games and running around. No staff or lifeguards to ensure rules were being followed as it was meant to be a family hotel I had to try my best to keep my pregnant wife (7months) and 2yo child safe.
It was a mid range priced place but definitely not worth it. Would not recommend.
- Rajesh (9/5): Superb - Good location and easy to access. Construction work opposite to property
- Anna (7/5): Family Catch up on the GC - It was okay. Partly renovated. It was a bit of an effort to collect the keys as they were not on the complex property. It was also a duel key apartment complex so 2 doors to open to enter. Only one set of keys so we couldn't be far apart as you needed the fob to enter and leave the pool area. The apartment only catered for 2 people so only 2 wine glasses 2 bowls etc
Only partly renovated. The curtains were very ordinary and dirty. The pillows were too flat but the bed was comfortable
- Deborah (7/5): Good - The pool is great. It's a short walk to the beach. The tram and bus is just outside. An easy walk to the main strip Cavill Ave. 2 towels are not enough for a 6 night stay.
Pillows were very uncomfortable.
Construction site on the corner started working at 6am to 6.30am every morning except Sunday and went on until at least 6 pm every night. It was so loud all day we couldn't have our doors open. A very noisy delivery truck to the site at 4.30am on Monday morning was not appreciated.
- Rachael (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (5/5): Passable - Nice spacious area and good facilities. Inside the room was clean and had everything we needed. Some of the doors were broken and the next room were smokers so every time came back to motel the smoke would come under the door and fill the room with smell. It was still a good place and will be alot nicer when the construction is finished as the balcony was just all construction view.
- Lourdes (9/5): Beautiful location value for money would definitely stay again - Pretty much everything Was hard to distinguish between private parking and available parking for visiting guest
- Sean (9/5): Great - Really good location, receptionist extremely friendly.
Facilities were great definitely child friendly.
Overall rating is a 9.
Kids loved the apartment was super comfy. Pricing was good, although booking.com
Was a muck around they send you to a lock box not the most convenient part of our trip but manageable.
It doesn't come up as the pinned location.
The staff will help to locate.
- Alistair (4/5): Disappointing - The room was good It was not on the seaside.
Could not access property until 4.pm
Major construction next door
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Lars (3/5): Good location with parking needs an update - The gym was good central location was good Not very clean room had rubbish in it not enough soap for the stay
- Donald (7/5): Good - Well appointed, good price Impossible to contact staff. Phone cut out after a short while when I chose to wait on the phone line. It wasn't convenient to have them call me back. Happened twice before I gave up.
No prior notice of the building site over the road that started work at around 7am.
Only 1 key for a 3 bedroom apartment is not reasonable. Organising around 1 key is difficult, especially because a key fob is required to access the building, the lift and the pool. It limits your options severely.
- Anita (6/5): Would go hotel not private again - As this is a private service apartment it was hard to get extra towels for pool or the general hotel facilities Not enough towels
Treated by hotel staff differently
Had to walk carrying luggage and child half way around the block to store luggage and get keys which was annoying
Had dresses left and they are denying it
- Cutmore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Glen (7/5): Just to let you know that the bathroom sink taps are leaking and the door lock to the room is dodgy otherwise all ok - Good location relaxing Just basic but all we needed
- Tahnia (8/5): Very good - The room was great and the fact that it had air-conditioning in all the rooms, very spacious The smell in the hallway was gross
- Ellisa (8/5): Very good -
- Lela (4/5): I am so sorry the checking in was so complicated, confusing, Like a d perilous project.. accomodatio - I am so sorry the checking in was so complicated, confusing, Lind a d perilous project.. accomodation was poor.and very expensive for one night . was there before as a Wyndham member, had much better accommodation for much less money.. anyway, was a pretty stressful just a check in, terrible, if I knew before probably would not take it??

- Sternberg (6/5): Very frustrating at the start, it was an alright stay I don’t think I would book again, definitely better places out the - Unclean communications, parking facilities were not available. Wifi was included but didn’t work
- Sharon (5/5): Passable - Key location within walking distance to everything, apartment was clean, however needed maintenance. Pool was great for the kids, also the games room for the kids was a hit. The collection and drop off the keys is terrible you are shown a lovely picture of the shop to collect the keys and you think it is an office with a reception desk, however it is a dirty little room that is not on the property grounds and if you don't know the area can take some time to find with NO parking out the front so you have to walk to this place and the reception desk at the hotel will NOT help you with anything as they don't manage the apartment. Breakfast is only available at a small Kiosk at the pool with limited seating and menu options. Not enough parking for the apartment.
- Janine (1/5): Bad -
- Anne-marie (7/5): Good -
- Greg (3/5): I will never stay here again - The check in and check out process was appalling
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Uliana (9/5): Nice for families. Worth the money. I would recommend. - Location, size of the area, swimming pools, kids facilities are really good as well A bit of a joke that local kiosk accepts “only cash”, rooms are bit big but we didn’t stay long in the room
- Tuisana (3/5): Will not ever come back -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danyelle (1/5): False advertising. Told me I should have brought towels from home. - Do not book! False advertising. Off-site managers who do not care. Bad cleaning. 1 towel only for 4 nights. 1 key only. Did NOT state it was a private booking. Paid $400 per night for a dingy studio that had a dirty toilet and glasses. They only gave us 1 towel per guest for the entire stay. When I asked for a pool towel and fresh towels (paid $400 pn remember), they said i should have brought it from home. Service was non-existent. Only gave us 1 key which was really hard to coordinate when my friend and I had separate plans or even just needed it to get into the pool. I tried to cancel the remainder of my booking but they kept ignoring me, or going around in circles. Call centre is Philippines and pick up key from Off-site. This means no on-site luggage storage if you arrive early or wanted to hang out by the pool on check out day.
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb -
- Md (1/5): Not a good experience - Location of the property and hotel was very good, but i got private stay and room wasn't that bad. Curtain rails were broken, too much light coming to room, no privacy as we slept leaving curtain open. Curtain only closed halfway through and when i complained, they said they can fix this following week. I was booked only for 2 nights, no good for me if they fix later. It seems like host doesn't care.
- Katie (1/5): Bad -
- Jonathan (1/5): Bad -
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - The property was spacious and clean with a great view of the ocean out the master bedroom, it was also walking distance from the beach which was great!
- Kc (7/5): Good -
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant - The pool area at the hotel is fantastic!
Short walk to the beach.
The kitchen/family area was quite nice. We stayed in a private room, because of this the staff at the hotel were extremely unhelpful and didn’t give us the time of day.
Our room balcony was next to a construction site which was extremely loud (which I should have checked the website before booking)
Bathrooms extremely run down, bedding was stained.
- Meredith (10/5): This is our second time staying in crown towers as a family… we will definitely be back again! - This is a perfect property for a family holiday- a lovely amount of space for everyone and great facilities to make meals and dry togs and towels after swimming! N/a
- Tshering (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (1/5): Awful, false advertisement, fraud, rude host! - Nothing We had a horrible experience. The hotel room was not what was pictured in the advertisement. We were asked to return our keys 3 days early due to complaining, and were not offered a refund. When we requested a refund we were emailed “no sorry we will not give refund”.
Host communication was HORRIBLE.
We would never book through this company again.
