• Craig (5/5): The description should state there are six flights of stairs and no elevator. - Central location near Pantheon. Appliances are outdated. 6th floor. 6 flights of stairs, no elevator. No help moving 4 suitcases upstairs. This was not disclosed. The “manager “ was the house keeper. Spoke Spanish. No English. Didn’t know if the apartment had AC. It did. No dish cleaning materials. No paper towels. Sketchy.
• Ildiko (7/5): - Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr zentral; man erreicht alles zu Fuß, und es gibt zahlreiche Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Unterkunft ist schön renoviert, die Zimmer sind hell und groß, und das Bett ist bequem. Außerdem hätten wir uns viele Unannehmlichkeiten ersparen können, wenn diese Informationen bereits in der Beschreibung der Unterkunft angegeben gewesen wären. Erstens: Unser Flug ist erst um 22:00 Uhr gelandet, und wir mussten 50 € extra für den späten Check-in bezahlen (dies war im Internet nicht angegeben). Dann schrieb uns der Besitzer erst um 20:00 Uhr, dass wir die Kurtaxe sowie die 50 € sofort beim Check-in in bar bezahlen müssen. Selbstverständlich hatte die Frau, die uns empfangen hat, kein Wechselgeld dabei. Außerdem hatten wir für vier Tage und vier Personen nur eine Rolle Toilettenpapier. Obwohl im Internet Pflegeprodukte für das Bad angegeben waren, war die Handseife fast leer. Ich habe bereits am ersten Tag Bescheid gegeben und gefragt, ob dies noch nachgefüllt wird oder ob wir es selbst kaufen sollen, aber ich habe keine Antwort erhalten. Für diesen Preis haben wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Wir sind bereits zum vierten Mal in Rom, haben aber noch nie eine so schlechte Erfahrung beim Empfang gemacht. Es ist schade, dass der Besitzer an solchen „Kleinigkeiten“ gespart hat.

• VILLAVERDE (9/5): Location! Location! Location! Unbeatable at that price. - Amazing location! Just steps from the Pantheon. Early morning walk to Trevi Fountain was a breeze. All’ Antico Vinaio just outside the main entrance, be the first in line before the crowds arrive. Limited hot water. No elevators, to be expected out of an ancient city. Great Value to be walking distance of everything.

Only thing to be improved was the shower, it was very hard to get it to mix hot and cold water, and it preferred one or the other :D. But who cares about that in such a wonderfull place

• Sam (10/5): Perfect location, great apartment. - Mark went out of his way to accommodate our changing arrival plans with excellent communication. Met us at the apartment and even helped us carry our large cases up stairs. He also showed us around and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us. The location is perfect for many tourist sites. The apartment has lovely character features. The rooms are looked after, it's clean and spacious. Blinds to keep light and sound out. Plenty hot water for a family of 5. Air conditioning worked great! No lift, we had 5 heavy suitcases to get up 3 floors. But Mark helped us carry them upstairs. We would stay again!

Everything you could want from an apartment in Rome We are on the large and unfit side, so the stairs were a bit of a challenge for us, especially when we returned of an evening full of fantastic food and wine! However it did not ruin our experience and would stay again.

Could find no fault at all, well equipped with a great size fridge and cooking facilities. We were a family of 4 and found the space very comfortable and more than adequate for us. Air conditioning was a welcome bonus. I was also impressed with hearing absolutely no noise from outside at all with the windows closed, they have great sound blocking. Check in was easy and host really friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location could not be beaten. Yes there are a number of stairs up to the property, but it wasn’t an issue as we read about it on here and the host mentioned it to us. 10/10 - would definitely stay here again! Nothing

• Anonymous (10/5): Excellent place to stay! - Location, Location, Location!!! This place is in the perfect location to visit Rome. It’s walking distance to all the major landmarks, restaurants ( Antico Vinaio is at your doorstep) and stores. The taxi stand is just besides the Pantheon, two small supermarkets ( coop and Carrefour) are only few hundred meters away and there’s a fountain by the Pantheon for drinkable water. The apartment is in great condition and cleaned. It’s also extremely quiet despite the central location. Be aware that there are 5 flights of stairs, so you need to be physically able to do it few times a day. Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the bedroom, but it works in the kitchen/living/dining room.

It wasn’t our problem but just something to consider. ( obviously they are not going to build a whole elevator just for the apartment)

• Robert (10/5): Luce al Pantheon is a must-stay during a stop in Rome. - Our family loved this apartment. It was clean, had great air-conditioning, strong wifi, and was walkable to numerous Roman sites. We would stay here again in a second!
• Karen (8/5): Great apartment, good size and is an awesome location! - The apartment location is amazing, right in the heart of Rome and has access to many great restaurants, and a stones throw from the Pantheon! The apartment is big with lots of light and 2 good sized bedrooms, along with comfortable beds. The kitchen, eating and TV lounge areas are all good sizes. The manager met us there, was on time and even put the air-conditioner on to cool the place down in readiness for our arrival as it was a hot day. He even carried our bags up the 3 flights of stairs, showed us where everything was and made us feel welcomed. The apartment needs curtains in both bedrooms to help cut down the early morning light and noise from the street below (at night). More cooking utensils and a toaster would be great. I also think the kitchen cupboard doors and handles needed a clean.
• Mohsin (6/5): The apartment served our purpose, but it's not something that I would choose again. - This property is situation in a good location. It is almost adjacent to the Pantheon, which puts it roughly at the center of the main tourist points, including the Vatican, the Trevi, the Spanish Steps and the Coloseum/Forum/Hills. You can't really see the Pantheon from it unless you are willing to stretch out from one of the windows for a side view. The host was communicative and helpful and friendly. The building is dated, but the apartment is nice, with high decorated or open brick ceilings. I wouldn't pick this property again. We picked this property, which boasts 2 bedrooms and a couch bed, to accommodate our family. When we got there, the host said that we had to pay extra for our kids traveling with us. That's a rough spot to be in when you have already paid for an apartment and have showed up at the door. Granted, I attribute that to my error as I mistakenly omitted my children from the total count. I tried explaining to the host on why my wife and I would need a two bedroom/4 bed apartment for the 2 of us, but he had me on a technicality and I paid more. Again, my error. However, that just made the value proposition even less as there are other, larger properties around that charge less and that are pretty much equally convenient with respect to location. Alternatively, there are other properties that may charge the same or more, but then you get a nicer, more modern apartment. Also, while the location of this apartment is fairly central, it is LOUD!!! You and your family need to be able to sleep through LOUD MUSIC, STREET YELLING AND SOUNDS, ETC., ALL NIGHT. There is minimal sound insulation. If you're looking to go to bed at a decent hour and wake up refreshed, you may need a quieter location than this one.
• Pam (10/5): perfect. - the most perfectly placed property to make the most of Rome. literally 3minutes from the Pantheon and within walking distance of most of the must see sites. the apartment is elegant and beautiful (just be aware it is up a lot of stairs but good to work off the delicious Italian food !) and we could not have been happier . the hosts are delightful and very helpful and we cannot wait to go back loved everything ! could just have done with a tea towel in the kitchen!
• James (10/5): Perfect location and spacious well equipped accommodation. - Perfect location next to the Pantheon but on the 3rd floor so relatively quiet. Spacious rooms with 2 double beds and a well equipped kitchen. Taxi rank next to the Pantheon one minutes walk away. Many restaurants at hand. Nothing. Its on the 3rd floor so if you find going up lots of flights of stairs difficult it’s not for you…but no problem for us. And as I said it is therefore not noisy.

• Evgeny (7/5): nice house, poor host - really nice and clean apt in the heart of Rome I forgot my daily medicine in a frige, they just though it out. every hotel would keep it! and when Im shocked how is possible it does not look like rubbish … so owner wait that cleaner is apologize … not even owner. but is owner policy and responsibility. no one hotel would through it out!!! and finally she said go to pharmacy .. hope it will never happened in her life . this medicine is provided from hospitals

• Stefano (9/5): We loved staying at Luce al Pantheon. - Location was fantastic; The windows provided beautiful sunlight; The kitchen worked very well—-it could use a small pot for sauces, and a tea kettle for boiling water for tea. The thermostat was difficult to control as it was on a 24 hour timer system.
