- Damien (5/5): Nice vibe but overpriced for what is was. Double and Queen sized beds are not acceptable sizes at the price charged per - our room was very clean and in excellent condition The room and bed were too small dominated by an oversized bathroom space. The was no access to the garden from our room which was unlike the others which had access. We had to walk through reception and around the building to enjoy the garden space which is very nice once you get there.

- George (9/5): A perfect getaway! - Very relaxing atmosphere, comfortable beds, super clean rooms and very accommodating team! We had the most wonderful time. The doors for the rooms are quite loud when opening and closing, but that’s a very small thing in comparison to everything else
- Ana (9/5): -
- Heather (10/5): Beautiful property - Such a lovely stay, the room has been beautifully decorated. The bathroom is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. The bed was so comfortable and it was so quiet and clam. Nothing, it was a lovely stay.
- Susanna (10/5): An oasis of calm near the beach fun of Byron Bay! - Wonderfully calm and beautifully designed.
The staff are fantastic - helpful, friendly, welcoming.
Our room was really spacious and styled - we loved it. Very comfortable bed and everything is organic. Wished we could have stayed longer!
The spa facilities are a lovely bonus, as is the garden.
The General Store a few mins away is a must for breakfast! We loved all of it. It’s a 20 min walk into the heart of town but we liked that.

- Emma (7/5): - The staff were kind, location was great, the place was very modern and clean. Would’ve liked a bit more natural light in the room. It was very dark all the time sadly.
- Kam Mak (7/5): Not value for money - Location, only a short drive to Byron Bay beaches Room too small, lack of cabinets to hang up clothes nor store personal stuff
No table nor chair inside the room
No TV set
Cooking outside the room, not inside
- Deborah (10/5): - The room was really nice, on the small side but well appointed for a short trip.

- Rachelle (10/5): - The thought that has gone into every little bit at the Health Lodge is second to none. I love the room, the organic sheeting the lighting, the bath house is an added bonus amazing
- Fran (9/5): A calm and beautiful place - It was a health place with special mineral pools, spas etc and medical people on staff. It had delightful gardens and a kitchen for communal use. There were no Television in the rooms because it was a health resort and peace, calm and quiet were essential to the running of this place. However when you are travelling alone you need a slight distraction occasionally. However it was entirely my fault for not reading the fine details carefully. Oliver was very generous and cancelled my extra days and found me alternative accommodation in Byron Bay.

- Marina (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing. Service, features, convenient and relaxing.
- Philippe (8/5): Very good -
- Fenya (9/5): Superb -
- Kirrilee (9/5): Superb - I loved everything ❤️
The complimentary access to the spa facility was amazing.
Had the best sleep. N/A
- Danielle (6/5): Pleasant - Dishwasher had mouldy dishes and cutlery in it and rubbish in the bins which had obviously not been cleaned so that put a damper on the weekend
- Vikki (6/5): Overpriced for what we got - Location and friendly staff Room wasn’t cleaned daily, bathroom door didn’t close properly, very noisy in the mornings as room opens directly onto common area where breakfast is held
- Adam (10/5): Brilliant very nice surprise to be able to use health spa - Complimentary health hub Only thing I could say is make it clear you can use key when you lock gates at night. Thought I was sleeping in the sauna lol
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nils (10/5): Exceptional -
- J (10/5): If you’re looking for high end nice finishes then look no further - We loved the decor, it was stunning Location was a little out of town but helped us get our steps in
- Josie (8/5): Very good -
- Madurya (10/5): Talk about an exceptional unwinding, Stunning bathhouses and food and tranquil - Amazing food chef and facilities! Overall a dream stay cay for us
- Gabby (5/5): Not happy with our stay. - The property was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was right near the kitchen room number 4 and we got woken up early each morning by the chef preparing food. This was quite annoying as we were there to relax and sleep in.
The second night we were there we were woken up again at 1:30am in the morning by another guest cooking food in the kitchen. This was so rude and she had no respect for the other guests sleeping, making loud noises in the kitchen. I believe she was coming back from the Blues festival and needed a midnight snack. The walls & windows were paper thin and we felt like our own conversations were being heard by people in the kitchen. We felt like we had no privacy.
We wont stay here again as we had broken sleep the whole time. We left more exhausted than when we got there.
- Georgie (10/5): Peaceful - The Health Lodge was incredible. The small was small but cosy and aesthetically pleasing.
Everything was clean, the beds & pillows were soooo comfy, the vibe was relaxed and peaceful.
Clean no mold aircons, double filtered water, perfect lighting. Nothing, loved it all.
- Dannielle (10/5): Incredible stay just a couple of mins out of byron central. Wellness mixed with just darn good service x - Where to begin? The bed at The Health Lodge was incredible. Oliver looked after our every need and was just so lovely and Amy our chef, was always so accommodating even when we needed to leave for an early morning drive she sorted out an early Brekky and was just so wonderful. They also three in a complimentary spa morning fir us both. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys Nothing

- Loretta (10/5): The perfect reset. - It was just gorgeous, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend. Nothing
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zara (7/5): Lovely room and bathroom but service lacking. - Bedrooms looked just like the photos and the bathroom was well appointed with a bath and bath salts, shampoo etc were included. I was left underwhelmed by my stay at The Health Lodge which I’d booked as a special birthday treat. I arrived to everything being closed and no way to get into my room. For the price I paid, I would have expected my bed to have been made each day which wasn’t the case. Also, I had to request a dressing gown as none was provided. It would be nice to have a relaxation area outside of the room as it felt like a waiting room with staff sat in the guest area working. Dissappointing.
- Rosa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (6/5): No windows/doors to outside, no free spa use. Stunning accommodation - The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was immaculate and the aesthetic was amazing. We did not have a window or door to outside as advertised in all pictures on booking.com. Our room was right outside the kitchen/lobby which was noisy at times, noise from use of kitchen and reception area. We also had trouble sleeping on our last night from a man shouting/cursing throughout the night.
The information on use of the bathhouse was misleading, I had seen on previous reviews about 1 free use and I felt the welcome information implied that but we were informed at reception you only receive a discount.
It wasn’t the ideal hotel for visiting Byron bay nightlife which was a mistake on my part, it felt more like a rehab facility.
However you are going to detox and shut off from the outside world this place is perfect.
- Carol (4/5): Overrated and pretentious - It was clean and it was definitely what my chronic illness needed, however I did not expect it to be so cramped and to have such thin walls The staff were too in your face and one was too hard to understand during the instructions at the bathhouse. The communication leading up to the stag was terrible. I messaged weeks in advance and only got responses on the week of our stay. I was not told that there was going to be 4 other people during the bathhouse service and a crowd of conference people laughing and carrying on outside my massage room on a Saturday. I came here to try and reduce daily excruciating pain. I had to wait to use each stage of the bathhouse to the point of having to be late to my massage and then poor and Adi and I had to crank up the music to focus on my massage. I was here for my birthday trying to make my pain less horrible and spent quite a bit of money in doing so. The only great part was my massage with Adi who seems to be the only one who cares about creating a great experience because she cares. I was stuck in a cramped room I couldn’t sleep in because you could hear everything through the walls. Not worth the money we spent. The massage was amazing, you should give that woman a raise and never lose her, she is the only person at that facility worth having.
- Dianne (10/5): A (relatively) quiet get away - The peace. The quality of the facilities. The party on the property next door
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitch (7/5): Good - The spa is great, Salt pool and ice bath Rooms were a bit noisy from communal living room.
There was two red flashing lights on the ceiling from the smoke detectors or the like. Bit annoying when trying to sleep
- Frank (10/5): Great concept and fantastic Bath House! - Great place. Great energy. Great people.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anneliese (10/5): Loved it! Will book again - Loved the free access to the spa I would of liked to have 2 spa sessions rather than 1 free one
- Elsie (10/5): Rejuvenating, grounding, and the best sleep I've ever had - This is the best accommodation experience I've ever had. After having a very poor and off putting experience trying to check into my original booking at a place in Brunswick Heads, I jumped on Booking.com to look for an alternative at 10pm at night not feeling safe to stay at the place I had planned and hoping I'd be able to find something last minute. I booked, was able to contact the manager who instantly made me feel safe and looked after, walked me through how to get in and the room was even better than I expected. I was unsure about location as they didn't have many reviews at the time but I learned they had recently renovated and re-opened and I was so happy to be able to experience the beauty and tranquillity of this location. The whole place is a sanctuary, from the toxin-free rooms, to the ultra quiet hospital grade air conditioning, the dreamy beds and the delicious teas on offer. The lights even have three settings, from cool to warm to orange. I've started to realise just how sensitive I am to lights, hotel scents and the lack of fresh air in hotels - so it was so nice to be able to slide open the door to the garden for fresh air on cooler days. At first I thought the air con wasn't working as you can't hear it at all when you turn it on (truly amazing). This was all before I even realised there was a spa attached which I soon became hooked on. The magnesium pool, multiple saunas, ice plunge and infrared light room within the The Byron Bathhouse (on the same site) was world class (coming from someone who did as many of the hot springs as possible when in Iceland last year). I was out and about during the day but couldn't wait to get back and just chill in the room and have time to myself in this beautiful space. Being able to go to the Bath House and then just walk a few metres back to my room was an absolute highlight. My room looked out on the garden that extends out the back of the property. I cannot fault this place. I can't wait to get back there again soon. You can clearly see how much love and thought has gone into creating this tranquil space.
- Carly (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at the Byron Bathhouse and Accommodation! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and inviting, making it the perfect getaway. The amenities were exceptional – the bathhouse was a standout feature, with its serene ambiance and soothing treatments that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. The accommodation itself was beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable and luxurious.
Everything was designed to help you unwind, from the cozy beds to the tranquil outdoor spaces. The location was also ideal, giving us easy access to explore Byron while still feeling tucked away in our own private sanctuary. We can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with first-class amenities. We’ll definitely be back!
- Ben (10/5): Very comfortable and clean! - Everything Nothing
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, friendly staff and great facilities. Perfect for a Byron getaway or a relaxing retreat. The Bathhouse is a must visit! Oliver was also very accommodating. I’ll be sure to come back!
- Sophia (10/5): The best accommodation and bathhouse experience - Relaxing and aesthetic vibe. Guests also have access to their bathhouse which was an amazing experience. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Room was exceptionally clean and tea was also provided which tasted wonderful. -
- T (9/5): New, clean, quality room with free parking. - Very clean and new place, renovated with quality. Spa was nice and great that one time was included (even though based on pictures I thought jacuzzi was part of the hotel and all the time in use for guests). Staff (spa and hotel) was nice and there was clean sparkling and still water taps to use which was a plus. Free and grear parking! Location was ok if you stay for couple nights and ready to walk 25 minutes to beach and the city and if you have car or bike (parking cost almost everywhere). Bed was too soft for us and pillows were too big for us.
Wifi turns off 10pm, didnt bother us but was a surprise.
- Gabrielle (8/5): On the average it’s a lovely place and we had an amazing stay! - Very calm and quiet, the bathroom has a shower and a bath, the bed is very comfortable, everything is clean and cocooning! Good localisation: close from the center of Byron Bay, Tallow Beach and the Byron bay general store coffee shop.
The staff is available 24/7 and helped us remotely to access to our room as we arrived late, which was very nice and easy! No direct window to the outside, shared kitchen with the other rooms so not very convenient… (the spa staff asked us to turn off our music while we were cooking and eating)
- Elisha (10/5): Peaceful well appointed accommodation - Beautifully appointment rooms, Extremely peaceful and relaxing property, Close the to general store for morning coffee and breakfast and a short 5 mins drive to town.
