Guest Reviews
- Bajramaliu (8/5): Very good -
- Masih (7/5): It was nice short trip. We enjoyed Venice streets - Location is excellently. Prices are higher as compared to other availability.
- Veranika (3/5): Poor -
- Francesco (7/5): Good -
- Zanettos (8/5): Very good - For a budget-friendly option, this place is excellent. The staff were great, and the location was very convenient. Daily bed sheet changes were a pleasant surprise. It's truly ideal for students or those looking for a comfortable short stay without breaking the bank. The cleanliness was acceptable, certainly not terrible, but there was room for improvement. However, I kept in mind that this is Venice, and the city's charmingly aged architecture often comes with a certain level of wear and tear. It felt more like a characteristic of the city's historic nature than a significant flaw.
- Benji (1/5): Bad -
- Charmaine (4/5): Disappointing - San Marco Romantic Rooms are truelly in an ideal location. We were able to walk to wherever we needed to go. We had amazing sites and restaurants at our doorstep which made our Venice stay memorable. The establishment although clean and quaint for the value, the morning was v
ery loud in the establishment from both the staff and the other patrons. The hostess came knocking loudly down our door before check out to complain that we had slept in the wrong room. The service was self check in and the room asigned to us was already taken. We had called the host and were guided to look for keys hanging on the door then to choose from these rooms. Very casual instructions led to us being loudly chased out from the establishment in the morning by the staff. This encounter I wouldn't wish upon anyone.
- Duncan (8/5): Great location - Great location Shower was very poor and very noisy
- Suzanne (3/5): Location in Venice was central but noisy. Clean. No communication back when I messaged to ask about the shared bathroom. - Location is central, however very noisy from restaurant below. Quieted down from 12-8am. Door lock didn’t work properly, no hot or even warm water for showering for our two night stay, tv didn’t work.
- Maryanne (5/5): Passable -
- Karim (7/5): Good -
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adele (6/5): Perfect Location - The location was perfect for seeing everything. 3 minute walk the Square and Rialto. Perfect location. The stairs were a little hard for us being older.
- Alexis (6/5): Pleasant - Check in was incredibly easy and the host was very attentive. It's in a very central location in San marco 10 min walk to St. Marks Basilica, 4 minutes to the Rialto Bridge. There are lots of restaurants nearby and everyone there is happy to help if you aren't sure of something. The room was a decent size and the pillows were much better than some other hotels I stayed at. The bathroom is right next to your room, shared with one other room, originally I was a bit hesitant but it's really not a bad setup. I did get stuck in my room for a few hours, the door sticks shut like nothing I've ever seen. It the funniest and scariest hotel room story yet Carlo was overall helpful. At first he told me how to use a key which wasn't very helpful, I had been trying different turns for over an hour, he then told me to pull it open as hard as I can and that worked even though it felt like the door was about to break. Other then that it's a nice stay you get what you pay for. The street is incredibly noisy, you hear everything and when the lights come on from the restaurant across the street it will wake you up if the sound of luggage and carts being pulled doesn't first. People were coming in way past 1am the walls are very thing so you hear everything. Pubs on the bed, again you get what you pay for everything else in Venezia was 300-400+ so I'd say it was priced accordingly.
- Kateryna (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation for nice time with family
Very tidy and nice personal
Thank you
- Bacf (9/5): Superb -
- Patchava (1/5): Bad -
- Kelly (3/5): Disappointing - Central location This was advertised as romantic and it was anything but. There were 3 large dirty laundry bags in the entry of the apartment that made it very difficult and unsafe to bring in luggage. There was the last occupant's garbage still under the sink and the sink in the bathroom had a sign that it was 'out of order'. The site shows pictures of a night view of the water and a bridge but there were no views from the apartment other than a roof.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and very clean. Nice showers. Some noise from the people on the street.
- Zeynep (4/5): Disappointing -
- Yohana (8/5): Very good -
- Zachary (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (6/5): Very pleasurable being part of the local community of shop9wners and restaurant staff - The rooms are a good size and very comfortable .Staff very friendly and helpful Aircon was broken
- Moira (7/5): Great location - The rooms were clean and the location is perfect to explore Venice!!
Good communication with the owner.
- Fredric (7/5): Good -
- Nadezhda (7/5): Good - Location is the best It’s not obvious from the description but note that you’ll have to share the bathroom. I wasn’t expecting it, especially considering the price per night.
- Panosian (7/5): Good -
- Emma (9/5): Superb - This place was fantastic, for the price the location was amazing. Short walk from the Rialto bridge and the ferry there. Easy walk to Basilica di San Marco. This was the perfect location. The room was a little noisy at night but we were right in it. Highly recommend you travel with only small bags as easy to navigate the streets of venice. We only went on the public ferries and travelled out to the lido during our stay. I would recommend the San Marco romantic rooms, easy to communicate with and access the room. Thank you
- Ghardag (9/5): Superb -
- Ketevan (8/5): Very good -
- Md (1/5): I suggest please don’t go this place. - Totally money loss.very bad .It is very difficult to find out this old building because of the name. There is no name in front of the building. It is so funny.
- Pimentel (1/5): Bad -
- Christie (4/5): Great location & clean - bring fan & earplugs. - The property is in a good location. Bring a fan & earplugs. Air con barely works (if at all) & the rooms are very noisy to the point you can hear people putting their cutlery down in restaurants outside, felt like there was no walls between you & the street. The listing also doesn’t make it clear that you will share a bathroom with one other room (bathroom is clean, fairly modern and this was OK for a night or 2 but wouldn’t have chosen this had it been made abundantly clear in the description) The rooms are basic but ok, spacious & clean although I would not recommend staying here more than 1 or 2 nights. Also worth noting that the staff were rude, we called them as we were having trouble locking our room and the man who answered was very impolite & hung up the phone.
- Aruna (6/5): Great location, clean rooms but no AC - Location is plus point, hassle free check in, clean rooms, very helpful and accommodative owner and staff except air conditioning issue, we received all sort of help. AC wasn’t working and owner didn’t bother to fix it despite several requests, felt like sitting in furnace, had sleepless night. Very annoying.
- Rony (1/5): Bad -
- Pauline (6/5): Pleasant - Location Bed squeaked
- Sarah (5/5): Centrally located - The properly is centrally located beside Rialto bridge and is easily accessible to shops and restaurants. There was plenty around the accommodation and we were provided with easy instructions and directions to the property for self check in. Beds were comfy I’m unsure if the room had been properly cleaned as there was used/dirty sanitary pads in the bathroom on our arrival. I understand cleaning errors can happen so I messaged the host hoping to rectify this. Unfortunately we got no response.
We cleaned the room ourselves and got on with our stay. It’s a pity as this did put dampener on what would have been a nice stay.
- Mohammad (4/5): Disappointing -
- Katrina (7/5): Good -
- Surjit (1/5): ONE OF THE WORST EXPERINCE IN MY LIFE. - NO BODY RESPONCE TO MY CALL OR TEXT ROOM DOOR LOCK WAS BROKEN HARD TIME TO OPEN THE DOOR AND CLOSE.BED WAS IN BAD SHAPE ANY TIME CHANGE SIDE ON THE BED MAKE NOISE. SHARE BATHROOM WITH OTHER ROOM CUSTOMER
- Emilio (10/5): High recommended for budget Traveller. Perfect Spot at reasonable price👍👍👍👍🫰🫰🫰 - Location is perfect and exactly within Venice tourist spots. The room is clean and equipped with the things needed to make your stay comfortable. One thing I like the most is that it has kettle with some tea, so you can enjoy, perfect for a person like me who always seek for hot drinks anytime. Also, Carlo has arranged everything, we haven’t reach the hotel yet Carlo already sent us the details of the accomodation so the moment we arrived in the hotel is everything ready for us. We just stayed few hours before we started exploring the city. The room has airconditioning system and 2 big windows so you can enjoy the view of street right within you room. I can confidently say this one is a good find for a budget traveller like us. Kudos Carlo and Team. Definitely, I choose to return when I return in the future. The stair going up to the room, but this is given the fact Venice is indeed an Island. So limited space and highly congested areas is expected. For me this is acceptable.
- Ewa (8/5): Room was very comfortable and clean however if you are sensitive to noise, nighttime can be challenging due to convenien - Room comfort and cleanliness. Convenient location. Noises during the night and early morning due to building works near by. Mosquitos.
- Bryan (8/5): Best location in Venice. - Location Would have preferred a doubled bed as opposed to 2 singles pushed together
- Skarleth (9/5): It is a good choice if you are looking for a cheap stay in Venecia. Great location, not the most confortable or good loo - Great location, all the main spots are close. There was good communication with the owner The hallway entrance is very dark when you get into the property, there were bags with laundry on the corridor. It is a busy street so there is a lot of noise, the curtains are be a little see through
- Afaq (7/5): Good -
- Leonid (7/5): Good - Would be good to have water boiler in the kitchen
- Pranavkumar (5/5): Not a great place to stay. - I only like location about the property . Services and facilities.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Great place with pleasant staff! It was a bit challenging to find this place, but in general we liked it. They left coff - Everything was great! -
- Bright (8/5): Very good -
- Cristina (10/5): Perfect, I would recommend to all. - Perfect location, close to all famous destinations There is nothing
- K (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gonzalez (8/5): Very good - The place is closed to the main Sn Marcos Square , 7 minutes walking and in the middle of lots of fine stores and restaurants .
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional -
- Intesar (8/5): Very good -
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Central, great location. Shared bathroom but it wasn’t an issue
- Shannon (5/5): First Venice trip - It was adequate, but wasn't what I expected. Very difficult to find and stairs were a huge struggle for my mom. The stairs, location was hard to find and terribly noisy.
- Adham (9/5): Superb -
- Dale (9/5): Superb -
- Danny (6/5): Booked private bathroom and shared - Location Booked with private bathroom and all shared one bathroom hectic in morning get up super early or get out late. This was only downside to stay. For that would not book again
- Alanta (3/5): Pretty awful overall, didn’t sleep much and wasn’t romantic. - The location was great Advised double bed but actually two singles that couldn’t be joined, kept falling in between. Couldn’t cuddle with my partner on our romantic getaway. Not clean bathroom, shower flooded bathroom, light fixing loose/hole in the wall. Bitten so many times with windows etc shut. No fixing for the shower head and broken shower door.
- Morgan (7/5): Good -
- Laura (6/5): Well located but just to stay a short night - The location is really good It is difficult to get through the stairs, there is a lot of noise during night and the cups were dirty
- Jolita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shantal (5/5): Passable - Comfortable enough and good location. Nothing special. Theres no reception and they did not reply to my messages.
Only time they replied was asking to pay and send me a link.
Didn’t really want to put my credit card on a random website but they told me I couldn’t pay via booking.com even though I had the option to vía the website?
Also I was not able leave my bags anywhere after check out so I had to carry them around all day as I left at night. Not ideal, expect this from most hotels
- Eric (5/5): Passable -
- Theo (10/5): Comfy, brilliant stay! - This is a comfy and cozy property that is sublimely placed in Venice and good value for money. The bathroom is well maintained and the room service is simple and quick. Staff were kind and helpful with check-in and we had a brilliant time. Nothing!
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect for the price point, clean, large suite. Amazing location - The hotel was in a great location, was all self serve similar to how AirBNB works. No reception etc but instructions via email were clear. The room was nice and clean, had all the amenities you’d expect. Only thing lacking was bottled water in the fridge
- Tetiana (7/5): Good apartment in atmospheric place - Perfect location, close to San Marco Square, old small streets with plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants. Bathroom was not in a good condition.
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Danna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mahabub (10/5): Exceptional - everything was well neat and clean Air conditioner
- Maciej (7/5): Great location, but very loud neighbourhood - Great location in the heart of the city center and spacious bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Very nice staff. Sadly, if you are a light sleeper, you will struggle. Great, central location means that it'll be loud. We could also hear each doorslam from rooms around.
- Parsa (10/5): Perfect stay - Location
- Loukas (6/5): Pleasant - The location and it was clean AC wasn’t working so we had to keep the windows open and the room was full of mosquitos:)
- Roxanne (6/5): Great location - Amazing location. Clean property and very easy check in. Quick replying and service Price for a shared bathroom that is close to the price of a hotel stay. Maybe our fault not reading details but the price difference in location for a private hotel room and bathroom isn’t much. The lock on the door is a bit tricky and the noise from other guests you can hear.
- Sam (10/5): Great apartment, in the heart of San Marco/Rialto - Great location, very central but still quiet enough at night.
We got the family room for two of us because it was a reasonable price, and it was really nice having all the extra space.
- Abhishek (2/5): Hated it. Wouldn't recommend it. - The location was good The AC wasn't working . The cups were dirty and smelling . The Door lock was spoilt. No one ever showed up to talk. There was no lights near the stairways.
- Gregg (2/5): We felt that the accommodation as advertised was deceptive - Good location in central Venice
Clean room and washroom Door to property was unmarked in an alleyway and very difficult to find.
Entryway has a steep staircase with a timed light switch at the bottom of stairway. Stairway is dark and unlit coming down.
No one to greet you on arrival. Room key left in room door in hallway on arrival.
Shared washroom. Very sparse room.
Property owner tried to charge us city tax at a 5 star accommodation rate.
Clean, good location with Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Suitable for a young person backpacking Europe.
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - Self checkin, very close to Rialto Bridge to San Marco. Well served. Room were clean and staff were very kind and helpful. Very decent place to stay in the center of the Venice. The shower qas quite well with instant hot water. Bed weren't enough comfortable, the hair dryer were not enough. There's not much to complain as venice centre. Sure will comeback.
- Ashok (8/5): Nice place. Highly recommended for Venice - it was clean and located close to Rialto and San Marco- the major tourist places in Venice. No complaints
- Meryam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bartosz (9/5): Superb -
- Keyara (8/5): Great for a short stay, close to rialto and st marks square. - The stay was good for a short stay. It does the job for the price paid and close to rialto bridge and ferry port. Shared bathroom but we werent fussed for a 24hour stay.
- Marissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lokman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adeliya (7/5): Good -
- Ecinaj (1/5): Bad - This company has harassed abd assisted ne during my stay. The staff wee very rude and U had to call booking.com fircenwrgency. I had a panic attack as a result of the physical and verbal abuse of a female staff. Icwas only in venuce furxaxshiet that abd in the end had to stay in bed and could nit visit the places I have planned.
These with hidden disabilities, please know the emergency number. The staff are highly unprofessional and abusive. Ucwas offered 10% duscoubtcwgen I should be refunded. In dyapute thru credit card. Please okay thru the credit card company. Booking.com were useless Physical and verbal abuse. There was no light in the bathroom and got fixed the following day. The fridge was filthy. All my communition with the owner, he desined the adult and abuse but I was on the phone with booking.com while the abuse was going on.
- Sepashvili (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great! It was right between San Marco's Square the Rialto Bridge. We were able to get to transportation easily and there were so many great places to eat in the area. Everything we great!
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
- Bahar (6/5): Pleasant - I reserved 2 single bed but there were one double bed. Locking and opening the door of the room was problematic.
- Valeriia (10/5): I got Venice vibe - The apartment was located in the central part, everything inside is clean and comfortable It was hard to find the right door, because address is not accurate, but I was with friend, so it was really find to go around Venice and try to find the spot. however, if you have luggage it’s better to contact the owner in advance and ask in more details were the apartment is located.
- Mingyu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fereshteh (7/5): Good -
- Ema (7/5): The location was great. Comfortable beds. - Contactless check-in Bathroom was not in good shape.
- Francisco (9/5): Nice place! - The place Couldn't pay at tge beginning
- Tallulah (6/5): Pleasant - The location was fab The shower was annoying as you had to hold the shower head to wash your hair and it was quite noisy
- Ivanina (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect.
The room and the bathroom were very clean. The bathroom was shared with another room and this wasn't noted in the booking.
- Naderaabz (6/5): Great location, it just needs some maintenance - The location is very central and great! Although it can be very noisy because there is a main street right next to the windows. The place was generally clean but there were some issues, for example they gave us a towel that had stains on it and we couldn't use it. The walls were full of dead mosquito stains, the shower didn't function properly, and one of the windows wouldn't open. It's good for Its price though. It's the cheapest accommodation we could find It's venice so were able to look past a few of these things. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
- Samantha-jo (4/5): wouldn’t recommend if you appreciate sleeping - clean bedroom, good location, close to attractions in an awfully noisy location, even with windows and shutters closed I didn’t get a wink of sleep. bed squeezed every time you breathed so not ideal if you want to get some rest
