Great views from the large sit out/balcony areas - cockatoos and parrots eating bird seed right out of your hands! They’re friendly and come up close to you. Well maintained property with a rustic charm in the decor. Large living room area with a fireplace and piano (which my son loves playing!). Beds were very comfortable and the larder was well stocked. Everything was available as required for a kitchen range. Would like to thank Monica who was very helpful, polite and accommodative! It was a wonderful stay and we hope to be back again soon! Nothing

• Jasmine (2/5): Nice views, but be prepared to sleep amongst the bugs and spiders! - The views were nice and the kitchen is well equipped. Was nice for my little 10 month old to be able to feed the birds during the early evening. We were happy when we checked into the villa as it had everything you need. It was so unfortunate we ended up having to leave at 3am in the morning due to finding or seeing one to many huntmans/redbacks within the property. Finding a huntsman and redbacks in the main bedroom was enough for us to want to leave. We had a 9 month old baby with us sleeping in the cot and was not confident she could sleep safely in the room without and creepy crawlys making there way to her. Not only that, the amount of bugs in the room was shocking. The fly wire on the windows does not clip in properly allowing bugs to come in with any sign of light. Having to get up and pack up our items at 3am alongside having to pack the car at this hour with a baby was less than what we expected to have to do for our relaxing night away. I understand where the house is located, being amongst nature and we are frequent travellers to stay in Mt Dandenong but have never experienced anything like this before more should be done and maintained to keep the bugs out of the property to allow it to be a comfortable stay. We tried to contact the owner/property manager who unfortunately choose not to respond to our request/concern.

Clean and homey with modern bathrooms and classy wooden furniture. We had feeding seeds ready for wild birds visiting us during the stay. This was the highlight for our girls! None

• Vanessa (10/5): Mountain serenity - This accommodation is stunning. Situated at the end of a no thru road the privacy was immaculate! The wrap around deck and the wild life was beautiful and relaxing. Lots of wild birds and even a visit from a little roo! The house itself is large with high ceilings and visually stunning. Very cosy and warm feeling. Perfect for our family. The master suite with deck access was amazing for the view!

The bed was comfy and the amenities were very clean and nice. Nothing really to complain about. Maybe they should have had the ling size bed in the larger room instead of the queen but it worked out fine.

• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - I'd really like to leave the worst review ever, only because I'd like this place to be vacant next time I want to rent it. However, I find it extremely difficult to find a bad thing to say. The place is huge. Great size lounge room, newly renovated bathrooms, very comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, huge BBQ and outdoor area, a 270° wrap around terrace with stunning views of mountain and lake. Central heating, nice towels, and heated towel rails  (which I couldn't work out how to remove 😄) All this you can get from the ad's and photos. But, what you don't get from a broucher is a feeling. From the moment we entered we all felt very comfortable and homely. We enjoyed our stay immensely. And we look forward to coming again.....hopefully for a longer stay.

• Gregory (9/5): Absolutely loved our stay and experience! 10/10 and would highly recommend staying here especially if you are travel - - beautiful and spacious home - Loved the views and in a fantastic location - Pet friendly which was a massive plus as we had a group of 4 people and 2 dogs so the space mattered! - Host was very helpful and generous allowing us to check in early and check out later. - Very tranquil and peaceful and is a perfect place for a mini getaway from the city - So many great places nearby to walk and hike! Only negative was the coffee machine provided was very dirty and needed to be cleaned extensively prior to using!

Highlights were the balcony with a beautiful forest view, and visiting cockatoos and lorikeets; the pool table that entertained the whole family, and the bbq and fire pit area for cosy alfresco evenings. Kalorama park is a short walk away, for a daily forest dog walk. We visited a few local attractions but our favourite time was spent relaxing together at the villa. We are only sorry that we couldn’t stay longer.
