Guest Reviews
- Karen (1/5): We didn't end up staying as we there was no communication from/access to the owner. We cancelled. -
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Taylor (7/5): Rocky start but was a lovely place to stay - Great clean property, comfortable, lovely area The alarm being set off for over an hour when we arrived really put a dampener on things especially as we had driven a fair while to get there, however understand that mistakes happen.
I would like to suggest tissues, paper towels, dishwashing cloth to be available
- Abby (9/5): - Very clean house. Good location, close to everything. Big house with plenty of room for two families. Beds were quite uncomfortable in all rooms
- Rosalyn (1/5): Nothing at all blissful about Ballarat bliss. - We didn’t get a chance to like it, it wasn’t even ready for us to stay. A huge disappointment and let down. We had booked it over a month ago too! Poor communication from owner, unable to access property as key wasn’t available. When we went for a walk out the back, discovered back door open and the property was a mess inside. It looked like someone was still staying there as key was missing and food/towels/bedding all turned upside down. An awful experience. Eventually got onto owner but it was evident they do not live anywhere near the property and reliant solely on their cleaners who didn’t show up to do their job. Absolute shambles and almost ruined our weekend. I will however say that owner did refund straight away once we told them about it. Honestly we deserved compo but lucky we were able to get emergency motel accommodation instead. It was sad as we were looking forward to our stay at Ballarat bliss. Another bad thing, the property was back up for rent again as soon as our stay had been cancelled. There’s no way it would have been ready that quick for the next person! Dodgy.
- Jeannette (6/5): Very overpriced given the comfort wasn't there. - Had to message on arrival as no information had been sent with booking confirmation The mattresses were not good in any room. Could feel the springs and they all need a good mattress topper at least to resolve this.
- Daniel Dainty (8/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Great property. I would definitely recommend it. -
- Walter (9/5): - It was a nice House and comfortable! Had to ring a few times to get the code and forgot
it had to leave the keys in the house.
- Gary (10/5): - Very happy with our stay, it's an ideal house for a family holiday. Clean and modern, spacious, good garage, quiet street and the heating was great.
- Candice (10/5): - Very nice modern house, lots of towels, very comfortable and clean Didn’t have any paper towels and running low on body wash, so I had to buy some
- Kim (4/5): -
- Emily (10/5): -
- Renee (7/5): -
- Tracy (9/5): - The house was warm and clean. There was no i formation on connecting to the wifi.
- Mel (7/5): - It was very spacious house for a large group of family and close to a playground. It was good to have 2 living rooms There was not much natural light or insulation so it felt cold most of the time. Also for such a large house that sleeps many the kitchen had only 4 of each cutlery.
- Rachel (10/5): Luxury without expensive hotel prices. - The house was absolutely beautiful had everything we needed and more. Everything was accessible to us, certainly accomodation I would recommend. For us it was 4 adults but if there were young ones the lawns could have been maintained out the back. And as every neighborhood has it , there was a dog that barked all night, but truly this is a beautiful property.
More communication as well would go a long way.
- Tayla (9/5): Amazing stay - Amazing location and very nice house The alarm system going off on arrival
- Tiang (10/5): - Very annoying. We rented a place through booking.com for August 7th to 8th in Ballarat Bliss. Our family arrived a little late and tired, along with my mom and two elderly aunts. My mom had food poisoning and wanted to go inside to rest. We were unreasonably asked to pay a $400 deposit and send all our passports and IDs to this number: +61 434 694 224. I have proof of this number, and I was very disappointed. I also went to the police station to report my situation because we were worried about our information being leaked. That evening, I went to Ballarat police station to inform them of my situation. The female officer was very helpful. She took my information and told me to file a complaint with the costomer service. I also filed a complaint with booking.com, reservation number 6752335568. We were asked to send all our information and passports to the person in charge at +61 434 694 224, who was acting in a very discriminatory manner. He had a Sanlih security camera in front of his house. It happened at home, too. I had to call multiple times before she answered. The first thing she did was ask if we could have a party, and we needed a deposit and passports. Maybe because we were Asian, and the passports belonged to our entire family, I didn't argue with her and just followed her unreasonable demands. I was angry, but there was nothing I could do. We were being bullied because my mom was elderly and had food poisoning and needed to rest. I'm very disappointed that a company as big as booking.com would have such a failed rental partner. I'm very disappointed that such a thing could happen in Australia, a country that values human rights and freedom. I hope that this unfairness, disappointment, and discrimination I've felt will be made public, and I'll also file a complaint elsewhere.
- Theekshana (10/5): - Facility is clean and tidy Nothing
- Suzanne (5/5): Had a good and relaxing stop - Location was good Needs some maintenance, power points working only half the bedrooms, tv stopped working, peddle on bin
- Jacinta (6/5): Different to what we thought 😢 - Two bathrooms. Walls very thin so kids struggled to sleep while we were in loungroom:kitchen. House was freezing cold when we got there and the alarm went off.
no coffee machine and appliances were Kmart not smeg as I photos showed.
- Melissa (10/5): - Lovely hosts, beautiful clean home, highly recommended. Thank you 🙏🏻
- Kevin (9/5): Great property - Great place, clean, everything we needed was provided Security alarm went off when we arrived and couldn’t turn it off. Contacted the representative and she turned it off remotely.
- Lisa (10/5): Great Location and accommodating - Great location and comfort
- Julie (7/5): New, very clean, provided wrong access code, beds foam blocks, missing globe in bedside lamp. - The house was new and as described. It was very clean. Heating worked well. The code to access the site was incorrect and took us about half an hour with elderly ladies in the cold to sort out. We didn't even receive the incorrect code until I sent a message requesting it.
The beds felt like they were foam blocks.
There was a globe missing from one of the bedside lamps.
- Pengilly (9/5): Superb - The property was absolutely beautiful and great value and very well equipped
- Juliet (8/5): Very good - Great, modern property in good location. A tin opener and scissors could be useful in the kitchen.
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb - Property was immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable.
Had a small issue accessing the house, pin code didn't work on the door or either lock boxes and alarm went off when we got into the building. Owner was very helpful and apologetic. Will stay again, was a lovely house.
- Craig (1/5): Bad - Nothing How this person is allowed to host I cannot fathom. Theif, dishonest and does everything wrong in the short term rental business
- Kylie (9/5): Beautiful family home, great value for money. - Beautifully set up home, very comfortable for a family stay! No kitchen cleaning products or sponges to clean up properly after cooking.
- Alpal79 (10/5): Wonderful little trip with 3 generations all together - The house is beautiful and stocked with all those little things you need like sugar, sauces, etc. Our group included someone with mobility issues and house was perfect for them. Only one small step to enter the house, which has lovely wide hall leading straight down to a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and family room. At all times we could have someone assisting them to walk. All the bedrooms were a good size and the two bathrooms was perfect with 6 in our group. The property is located perfectly in a quiet neighbourhood, only a five minute drive from a shopping centre with a supermarket as well as many takeaway options and even a movie theatre. We explored the Ballarat Farmers market and a small part of the lake across the road, all just an easy 10-15 minute drive away. A lovely morning out we also found an all abilities inclusive playground called Victoria Park, just a 10 min drive away. The playground is the best one I've seen in Victoria it is completely surrounded by a fence with two sets of gates to get in or out for safety and there are zones with different play areas including a flying fox, swings, slides, and so much more. If I absolutely had to say one thing, needs a few more drinking glasses for water/soft drinks. But the is it.
- Tia (10/5): Excellent! Fabulous stay. - This property is one of the next we’ve stayed at. Extremely clean and everything is provided making it feel like a home. It was easy to access and the location is in a quiet area. I will book this again if we are in Ballarat again.
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Susie (9/5): Superb -
- Jamie (9/5): Ballarat stopover - Lovely modern home, fully equipped. And great price for our one night stopover. Also close to shopping area and great coffee shop.
Nice size home and rooms. On the outer edge of Ballarat, but not really an issue for us as we just needed a place to sleep on our way to Melbourne
- Rosette (8/5): Very good -
- Neen (10/5): Wonderful family stay near Ballarat - The communication was fantastic.
The house was immaculate and very comfortable
- Haichen (8/5): Very good - lots of space for big family the new house was built cheap, no sound proof. three of the four bedrooms are next to the kitchen. you can literally hear everything!
- Xiaoyue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suheyla (10/5): beautiful clean home away from home - the house was beautiful and had everything you would need to feel at home. it was close to the town centre which made it really easy.
The cleanliness was amazing and the beds were super comfortable.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (9/5): Brand new, well equipped, on the edge of town -
- Amy (10/5): Wonderful accomadation, highly recommend. - Beautiful clean, new house and amenities. Comfortable bedding, couches and dining. Warm and spacious. Heater is a bit noisy
- Cheryl (10/5): Ballarat Bliss for the family! - Property was great! Excellent location, beautifully furnished. All we needed was a bigger kettle! an oven tray, and a remote on wall for garage door so we could empty and repack cars out of the weather.
- Susi (6/5): Pleasant - House was very spacious and clean. Beds weren't that comfortable. Maybe invest in some mattress toppers. You could feel the springs. Could not access any TV Stations on the TV, had to log in to our own apps i.e. stan, netflix etc. Internet kept cutting out, so movies kept freezing. Someone else's food left in the fridge. To get the key out of the keybox was an issue as the key had slipped under a ledge at the bottom and we had to contact the owner to try and work out where it was. Maybe supply more tea towels to dry dishes and there were no towels on the beds on the other rooms, only the main bedroom. We had to go looking for them and found some in the ensuite basin cupboard and then in the tumble dryer in the garage. Also, there was a burn mark on the blanket in the master bedroom.
- Sandra (10/5): Ballarat weekend stay - Beautiful home, everything provided, very clean.
Spacious No negatives, fabulous stay
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristen (10/5): Perfect place for a family or a group of friends to stay. Great location and it feels just like being at home! Everythin - Family friendly, very clean, every little thing had been thought of from the bathroom amenities to the additional appliances in the pantry!
