• Luciana (8/5): Correcto ! - El apartamento está a metros del Duomo eso es muy bueno por un lado pero por otro un poco ruidoso el dormitorio que da a la calle.. es muy amplio pero no tan lindo como la foto tal vez un poco de mantenimiento le vendría bien. Los baños cómodos. El ruido exterior (con cerramientos nuevos se soluciona) y tener que sacar la basura antes de irnos.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my stay at Velluto Elegant Apartment near the Duomo from November 29 to December 4. The listing clearly indicated that the apartment included a washer machine, which was my top priority when booking. Upon arrival, I discovered that the washer was not inside the apartment as advertised but instead located downstairs in a shared area. This is a serious misrepresentation of the property and directly impacted my decision to book. Had I known the washer was not in the apartment itself, I would never have chosen this property. The inaccurate description caused significant inconvenience and wasted time during my stay. I expect the following: A formal acknowledgment that the listing was misleading. Immediate correction of the property description to prevent future guests from being misled. Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and for the fact that I did not receive the amenities I paid for. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to resolve it promptly. If no satisfactory resolution is provided, I will escalate this complaint further. This property was misrepresented in multiple critical ways: Washer Misrepresentation The listing advertised a washer machine inside the apartment, which was my top priority when booking. Upon arrival, I discovered the washer was not in the apartment but located downstairs in a shared area. This is a serious misrepresentation that directly impacted my booking decision. Condition and Environment The property was described as an “elegant apartment.” In reality, the furniture was old, dated, and unpleasant to use, far from elegant. The apartment smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, especially in the bedroom, making it extremely difficult to sleep and creating an unhealthy environment. These issues combined created a stay that was unacceptable and far below the standards promised. I expect the following: Immediate acknowledgment that the property description was misleading. Correction of the listing to reflect the actual condition and amenities. Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, discomfort, and false advertising. If no satisfactory resolution is provided, I will escalate this complaint further.

• Emily (10/5): Live the Florence Dream in this Beautiful Apartment - If this apartment is available - book it! The location is 1/2 block from the Duomo on an amazing street. You will feel like a real local Italian as you lean out the window, taking in the million-dollar view and listening to the bells of the cathedral. Georgeous apartment with 12-foot ceilings that will make you feel like a not-so-distant Medici cousin. The beds were very comfortable for our party of 5, and we loved gathering in the huge living dining area. Having access to an American-style washer and dryer was also great and helped us to pack less for the trip. The management team was super responsive and professional as well. It would have been nice to have a daybed in the master as is in the second bedroom, but that is so minor and takes nothing away from the apartment.

Everything was in walking distance from the apartment, which was very important to us since our - Apartment was in a very convenient location and quite roomy for a family of 5. Due to closeness of the apartment to the Duomo, it was very active at night. Wasn’t horrible.

The location is quite noisy in the midnight and early morning, especially for the bedroom facing north. Also the drain is no working well in one of the bathrooms.

• Saleem (8/5): Very convenient for the centre - We had breakfast at small cafe across he road side street called Still. It was excellent and with locals on their way to work. Very off putting was having a homeless person sleeping beside the front door. The children were very nervous. Another point is not to be out too late at night in the centre. I was being attacked by a young North African man who sounded friendly but started to manhandle me. I managed to break free and run to the front door and enter the code to get in quickly. Plus fortunately there was a security man guarding the bookshop stage in front of the apartment door. The assailant hesitated to chase me to the house door. Be very careful at night after 22.30

• Emma (10/5): Great property in a central location. - A really lovely apartment: comfortable, safe, a fantastic location and great communication from the managers. Only one thing: Having stayed here twice over the last month, the only downside was the noise at night from the piazza and street outside, which really isn’t anything the property can control. Not from the buskers (there were buskers both times though) but people shouting late at night and in the early morning.

• Jessica (8/5): A beautiful and large apartment in the Centre of Florence - Location was great, and a fantastic view from the lounge window of the Duamo. Huge apartment and very comfortable. Not a surprise but impossible to sleep in the front bedroom due to noise from the square which continued through to the early hours of morning. However the back two bedrooms you couldn’t hear a thing.

But, expect to hear music outside your window into the late evening. Music went a bit late for us. Bed could be a bit better but by far not the worst we have had.
