Guest Reviews
- Dyan (10/5): -
- Billy (3/5): - No question the location is great. It's close to Shinjuku with many restaurants and supermarkets around it. The beds are so small... they should have use at least queen size beds. It barely fit 2 persons there. Imagine, you must sleep with your friends in double size bed.
Also the bath towels are so small. I am sure they can do better on this one
- FUKA (10/5): -
- Arturo (9/5): - Las instalaciones, ubicacion y la atencion del anfitrión. El horario del check-in, poco tarde y no se podia dejar equipaje encargado, ni información de servicio de transporte de maletas.
- safiullah (9/5): -
- Guillaume (8/5): - Size of the appartement
Cosiness A bit noisy during day time
- Bitika (10/5): -
- Alice (8/5): - Comfortable, a little tight with two double beds. Needed a dryer for the amount of laundry for 4. Found a local coffee shop with breakfast offerings and easily accessible to shops and restaurants and jr trains. No dryer, and a little more street noise than anticipated.
- Ziyue (10/5): Excellent. Would definetely recommend anyone visiting Tokyo to book this location :) - It was very spacious despite it being quite central within a busy district. Surprisingly quiet too. N
- Michael (1/5): Avoid! - The property is located in an OK area however up you have to walk up hill and not suitable for older guests. The photos are not representative of the property. The beds are very low, mattress very soft, and importantly there is a pole in the middle of the two beds making impossible to get into the bed and use. Also, you can hear everything from the upstairs neighbours, no sound proofing. We unfortunately had bed bugs as well. We advised booking.com and the property that this acceptable, and that this was not a suitable for older guests or guests with small children. And we could not use the second bed. They refuse to do anything about it. After 48 hours said they could come clean as compromise! We ended up leaving early as this was safety issue.
- Carmen (10/5): Grosse schöne Wohnung - Sehr gross, schön und gut ausgestattet.
- david ken (10/5): - The accommodations was very clean and close to grocery stores. The only problem we had was the control panel for the water heater kept on talking ( Japanese ) . We did not understand what the panel was saying and we didn't know how to turn the notifications off. It got real annoying after a while.

- Nicole (4/5): Disappointing - It was clean and a good location Much much smaller than in the images, far too small for a family of 5. Not enough toilet paper or utensils.
- ゆあ (10/5): - とても広くカトラリーも豊富でよかったです。
パジャマがないのでそこは不便かなと思いますが他はよかったです!
- Anthea (8/5): Very good - Location and size of property great. Very comfortable and clean. No coffee maker. Could use a few more kitchen things - plates etc. Could also use a chest of drawers or some storage space for clothes - there is plenty of room for it in the apartment.
- Caroline (10/5): Great location and amenities, very clean and spacious for our family - Great location and amenities, very clean and spacious for our family
- Jacek (10/5): Everything was ok. - Well equipment apartment. Good localisation.
- Jesse (9/5): Superb - Location was convenient and well-explained in the instructions.

- Pierre (10/5): - Top
- Thy (5/5): Disappointing stay with broken dryer. - The property was spacious enough for our family for 4. Location was decent and close enough to the train station. Grocery store and family mart was close by as well. I purposely booked an Airbnb with a washer and dryer so I could pack lightly for the family. The washer was small and old and didn’t wash off all the soap on our clothes. But the worst part was there was no dryer. The “dryer” was the same machine as the washer but it either did not work or it was just emitting cold air. The clothes were left soaking wet, resulting in having to inconveniently hang dry all our clothes for our whole trip. I messaged the host about this to no real solution except for an apology.
The airbnb is also is on the second floor with the steepest and narrow stairs in the world. Wasn’t aware and not the hosts fault. Just something to note for families. I was worried one of us was going to fall and it made moving our luggage a bit of a challenge. Also the walls are PAPER THIN. Could hear everything. I had to constantly remind my young kids to be quiet to be considerate of any guests downstairs.
The entry door up top was also broken and coming apart from the frame, and the property seemed like it needed a bit of attention. We messaged the hosts just to let them know.
Lastly some of the reviews mentioned the green neon exit light. I didn’t realize what they were speaking of until we stayed here. It’s BRIGHT. So anyone that’s used to sleeping in a dark room, this will be a bit annoying.
I didn’t love our stay. I didn’t absolutely hate our stay. But we paid more for this accommodation and didn’t find the value based on our experience. We stayed at other accommodations during our time in Japan and found them to be so much better. So Unfortunately I would not recommend staying here and there are better options for families.
- Jaylee (10/5): - It’s a good walk from the station but other than that.. it’s a quiet peaceful neighborhood.. would book again in the future
- Silvana (6/5): Average for price we paid . - Was on ground level .
Close to station The bed rooms not private and fold out couch not comfortable
- Mikie (9/5): Superb -
- Amritpaul (9/5): Comfortable, convenient and spacious! - We liked the location, the size and the communication with the host. Wonderful stay!
- ??? (6/5): - 部屋は悪くないが、歯ブラシなど普通あるような物がなく、送られてくるメールも日本人向けでなく到着するまで不安だらけでした。
2階の音が朝うるさくて目が覚めた
- Pam (10/5): Exceptional - Clean

- Nichole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maya (8/5): Very good -
- Arjharn (7/5): Overall ok - The room was big and had all the equipment like a home. The stair is very steep and has to carry up large suitcases up and down. The wall is thin and we always worry that our kids are too noisy.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good - The location, close to local super market and close to metro, lots of restaurants around. Replace TV with smart TV so we can watch Netflix or HBO other English chanels.
- Lisa (7/5): Clean, tidy but disappointingly noisy. - Clean and tidy There seemed to be limited sound proofing at the property. Loud sirens during the night coming from outside, but being a busy city, that is to be expected. However, within the property, we were on the first floor and unfortunately had very noisy neighbours. The people in the apartment above us were very loud, we heard every footstep, every yell and cheer from the television and were constantly kept awake by them lumbering up and down the stairs to the front door throughout the night.
- Kara (8/5): Very good -
- Silvio (8/5): Great little apartment, tucked away from the main hub of Shinjuku but within striking distance of everything you need. C - Great space. Not too far from train and other great sites around Shinjuku. To help you with planning, you just need to allow enough time to get to/from the property from/to Shinjuku station - about 30 minute walk. Alternatively we also tried 2 x train lines - changing train lines from Shinjuku. In the end we had such little time in Tokyo that I couldn’t be bothered losing 2 hours plus a day just commuting to/from Shinjuku, navigating metro lines. We just took a taxi for convenience.
The property is very spacious. It is very very close to an amazing convenience/grocery store that stocks bakery, sushi, fruit, drinks, specialty foods and anything you could wish for. The property is also particularly quiet for Tokyo so if you want to be close but quiet, I cannot imagine you’d find much better.
- Shawn (9/5): Enjoyed our stay very much. The room was nice and spacious for a family of 5. Short distance walk from the train station - The warm decor, big space, good location and most amenities were provided. Just the steep stairs if you happen to carry large luggages with young children. But it’s not a big issue.
- Anne (8/5): A very cute and well appointed unit that was perfect for our family holiday. - The accomodation was great for a family. It was very clean and in a great location, 5-10 minutes from the Higashi-Shinjuku station servicing two metro lines giving easy access to Tokyo station, Shinjuku and Shibuya. The local community had a nice feel, and the apartment was close to many convenience stores. I also loved the local style bath room- that filled with light in the morning. One of the beds sagged in the middle of the.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Esther (7/5): Normal, not fantastic. - Good enough space for a family of 5. Cleanliness was there. Quite a few, so to speak. Firstly, my bad that I didn't see the reviews about the stairs. The so-called penthouse unit is actually the 2nd storey of the house. You have to climb a flight of very steep stairs. Imagine travelling with multiple luggages and the need to lug them up. Not a pleasant start. Exit light as others had mentioned, was too bright for my liking. I didn't sleep well when I was there. And I read about how the people staying at 2nd storey were being complained for being too loud.. and I got really paranoid and stressed. With 2 young kids, I had to constantly tell them to quieten down their footsteps. Basically, if you have young kids like us, I don't recommend this place, lest you become stress like us over moving big luggages and having to stay quiet.
- F. (8/5): Great value for money - Clean
Convenient
So close to the metro
Quiet
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Suwari (5/5): Passable - The cleaness and near to shinjuku From photos it looked bigger. I booked it because they said 60 sqm, didn't feel that 60 at any how.
The staff said we made noise, actually it was the1F who made noise. We were so disappointed from this misclaim.
The place is clean and neat. And we will not book again cuz we were LOUD, cheers

- Lisa (10/5): Great base for family to explore Tokyo! - Good location, well equipped kitchen, clean
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Big enough The sheets were not changed. I could find other people’s hair on it. Really terrible.
- Kate (10/5): We walked 29 miles around Tokyo. Shrines, Sushi, Sega emporiums. This was a perfect base. - Location was terrific. It amazed me that one minute we could be in the hub-bub of Shinjuku Otsuku and then all of a sudden in this quiet residential enclave.
Clean, comfortable and convenient. Perfect for a family.
2min walk to a subway stop, grocery store and coffee. 15 mins to JR.
- Lindsey (8/5): Great location & good value for money. - Great location & good value for money. Towels & pillows poor. Bed very hard.
Would have liked a toaster & more pillows.
- Sipong (9/5): Superb - Good amount of space. Close to grocery store and convenient store. Still a bit of a walk from station.
- Regina (10/5): Peetect studio apartment for a family of 3 - Very clean and comfortable. Short walk to grocery stores and train station. None
- Martina (9/5): it was a great stay and perfect for a family of 4 - clean, spa uso us and well nice space. Quiet area beds could be more comfortable.
- Darwin (2/5): We got in late from our flight, showered, slept and I cut our losses and packed and left the next mo - Attempting to have a warm Japanese aesthetic.
Washing machine.
Bamboo outside of window Location
Sound / noise
Cleanliness ( cupboard faces were grimey)
- Roz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martina (8/5): Very good! would recommend. - Thé property was very clean and comfortable for a family. They were so kind and thoughtful to have nice slippers and toiletries available. That each or apartment selected should have its own set of images because it is confusing on what you are getting.
it was a little further to some of the main must see locations, but still good for it’s price. Also, the washer dryer is a little confusing.
- Natalie (9/5): fantastic - great apartment close to subway and grocery shops nothing
- Chua (8/5): Very good -
- Vicky2508 (9/5): Would definitely stay again - Decor was beautiful
Beds were very comfortable
Good location
Very clean & spacious
Being able to use the washing machine was great
Instructions on how to get to the property we're very detailed and helpful Would have been good to have more than one towel each for our stay and face cloths.
The exit sign/light was quite bright, so made it a little hard to sleep.
Neighbors were a bit noisy.
Would have been nice to have tea/coffee and milk included
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - this booking had everything we needed. it was clean and comfortable. we had a great stay!
- Peggy (9/5): Superb -
- Arief (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashkan (10/5): Exceptional - The room is very well decorated and comfy. The price was a bit steep, but it kind of is what is it for the location and space. It's also very private since you can just enter without talking to anyone. The wifi seemed a little iffy at times. Not sure what was up with that.
- Matt (8/5): Very good - The apartment size was comfortable and very clean—proximity to the local train station.
- Wenie (10/5): A wonderful stay - We love the location, its just a few steps from a supermarket and the subway and a few minutes walk to the city center. The house was clean, beautiful, and comfortable and the host was very responsive. We had a wonderful stay. Its not a big deal but it would be nice if they would add some more pots and pans for cooking and a chopping board.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great apartment, excellent location. - It was big, great facilities and we loved the location. Nice and close to everything whilst still being in a quiet area for sleeping. The beds were a little firm for me but the rest of my family said they were perfect!
- Jimin (8/5): perfect stay if you are a group of 3-4 people. - the property was quite spacious for the price, it won’t be easy to find a space as large as here with the same price. the location was fantastic too, a supermarket was nearby and subway station was within 5 mins of walking distance. just like what other reviews are saying, the exit signage light was a bit too bright at night. but it was bearable for us.
- Av (9/5): Superb -
- HOK YEE (8/5): - Great place to stay with a group of 3 to 4.
- Mandip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (5/5): not really nice - none toilet and bathroom
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Bogdan (10/5): The place is a minute walk to Metro and bus taxi stand just around the corner. - location, location plus the great amount of space. N/A
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious unit that is clean and near to the metro station. Short walk to alot of eateries
- Michelle (8/5): Great stay - would recommend. - The home had a lovely feel to it. It was in a great location. Instructions were clear on how to get to and enter the property. If I was to be picky, the toilet door could be more soundproof. The little box on the wall in the toilet which played running water was a bit annoying. But really nothing to complain about.
- Tato (10/5): Love this homely place - A very cozy place and near to train stations.
Near to food area too.
Loves how spacious it is too. Other guests forgetting to lock the main door
- Zoë (9/5): had a great time - very central to train lines. grocery stores nearby. easy access. good facilities and communication from staff
- Markus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (9/5): Excellent accomdation - Very close to 2 supermarkets and 2 subway lines. By Tokyo standards, spacious. Kitchen itself was good but more cutlery and pots/pans required. We requested some items during our stay (wine glasses and dinner knives) which were supplied same day.
- Michael (8/5): good venue that suited us - location we were in apartment downstairs
- Richard (7/5): Good - -Amazing place and everything complete with kitchen, ref, micro, grill and dining table
-Near a supermarket and food places (koeran town was only 1 block away)
-about 8 min walk to train station (there is a closer exit but you still have to walk about 8min) -No hotel luggage transfer (this was a big deal for me)
-Thin walls. The walls shook as big cars went by. (If you are a light sleeper then good luck)
-no change of towels no matter how many days you stay whether 1 day or 1 week
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Chunhan (8/5): Very good -
