• Daniel (7/5): Location perfect but facilities completely unacceptable. - Location The owner responded to messages promptly. Very dated throughout including facilities and furnishings. No plug for the sink so we couldn’t wash any dishes even though it was a self catering apartment. No tea towel Bed was really uncomfortable like sleeping on wood. Only one small and large towel given per person each for 5 nights. The owner normally charges for more but eventually relented and gave us more at no further cost. Not enough plugs around bedside and appliances such as kettle, boiler and grill Apartment needs rewiring with potentially dangerous plug sockets. Electrical appliances near water which could be dangerous. Limited kitchen workspace with no room to place wet dishes. Limited utensils and cooking equipment No bin for sanitary products A few basic items would be appreciated especially with the cost we paid ie milk, water etc No instructions on how to work anything. Light outside didn’t work Very dusty Very dated furniture. It cost a lot of money for this apartment and the location was great. However I would not book this again as it was virtually impossible to use it as a self catering apartment with such limited equipment, kitchen space, utensils etc. In certain circumstances I’d class it as dangerous having electrical appliances so close to water. The check in process is not acceptable and is only given the day before our arrival. This is too near us arriving and should be given when payment has been received. Looking at previous reviews, many of the above issues have come up before and it appears that no changes have been made.

Estuve en comunicación con la anfitriona previamente, pero no fue hasta que llegué a la puerta con las maletas y, tras una llamada, que me envió las instrucciones para acceder. Si ya sabía que tenía una reserva para ese día y esa hora, podría haberme enviado la información con antelación. Además, no mostró flexibilidad para permitir dejar las maletas antes de la hora de check-in, por lo que tuve que pagar en otro lugar para guardarlas. Entre las amenidades anunciadas figuraba una cafetera, pero no estaba disponible. Además, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, ni tampoco la estufa. El colchón es duro y las almohadas también. Como aspecto positivo, la ubicación es conveniente, ya que está cerca de restaurantes, tiendas y las principales atracciones.

• Pınar (6/5): Great alocation but uncomfortable - The location of the house is excellent, close to everything; the tram passes right in front, and it's very close to the Duomo metro station. It's a 5-minute walk from the Duomo, in a very central location. However, I can't say it's very comfortable, especially the pillows and bed. They've combined two single beds into one double bed, which naturally leads to an uncomfortable sleep. The pillows are also very uncomfortable. When we found the house, it was very clean, and the pillows were also very clean, but they were very old. There wasn't enough limescale on the kitchen utensils, so you might have difficulty cooking or eating. There's no problem with heating; the air conditioning works well, but when you use the air conditioner and oven together, the fuses blow. My wife knows about these things, so she went down to security, found the main fuse, and reset it. While she was down, I messaged the landlord via WhatsApp, but received no response. I don't know what would have happened to my wife if there hadn't been someone knowledgeable about these things. We came for a three-day holiday and the central location was very convenient for us, and the cleanliness was also nice, but they don't have a daily cleaning service. It would be great if they at least provided that service and cleaned every day. Also, you absolutely need internet access to enter the main building. You click the link sent to you, which opens the door each time. If your phone battery dies or you don't have internet access on your phone, you may not be able to enter the house. • Κωνσταντίνος (4/5): Good location. That's all - The location is very good and it was clean. The furniture is old and worn out. The closet you can hardly call it one. However, the worst is the fact that the appartement door did not close at all and consequently could not be locked. There is another door at the open air terrace leading to the stairs/ lift that can be locked, but it hardly offers enough feeling of security. Anyone could jump from rooftop or next door appartement. The owners are fully aware, but they do not value it as important.

• Nadezhda (6/5): Great location, but dirty and old apartment - The location is great. Only this is the Pro The apartment is not clean. It is old, there is a layered dirt, the apartment's door is not able to be closed or locked from outside. You lock only the door of the terrace in front of the apartment, but actually the apartment is not even able to be closed. The bed is old and not comfortable, the mattress also. The instructions for the key code and key holder were sent too late ( at the mentioned check-in time). I was into the plane when I received them and I had to take a picture of ID and pay taxes before getting the key code, so you need time to do this. It has to be done much earlier. So, If the location is the most important and the cleanliness and comfort are not, then this apartment satisfies the conditions, otherwise ... I'd not recommend it.

The pizza restaurant just outside the building was very good. The apartment is small but was fine for two nights. There is outdoor space which was a bonus. I knew the apartment was small when I booked it, so we made it work due to the excellent location.

Prices charged were higher than what it should have been. - Very close to a very busy road with trams and vehicles passing all night, this made it very difficult to sleep deeply. Located in a loft of the building with limited access to the public. There was no light at the balcony to the entrance of the flat.
• Little (8/5): Read the details about check in prior to your trip! - The apartment is very close to the Duomo and surrounding shops and restaurants. It's in a secure, quaint building, that felt very safe. It was nice to have the amenities of an apartment, ie the washing machine. However, we needed to buy our own powder etc. The check in procedure was very faffy and confusing, which required WiFi and an external app. We appreciate the convenience for the owner, however this was not conveyed obviously to us as the purchaser on Booking.com, or prior to check in. It made a very stressful train journey with patchy WiFi!

• Gwendolyn (9/5): Great location, nice little oasis in the heart of the city - Location is great, short walk from the subway that you can access from the Milano Centrale railroad if you are coming by train. In the heart of the business/fashion district but still very quiet at night. Loved the fact that there was a lift. I don't think we had any problems. The host thought of everything, electric hot water kettle, iron, nice size fridge. We were really happy with it.

There is an elevator and a really nice balcony where you can sit and relax in the evening or have a breakfast in the morning. One of the keys is very old using a very old lock and it took us a while to figure out how to open the door.

Very dated old small & unfunctional overall. The nightly rate was well overpriced for what amounted to a skid row apartment. Very disappointing!! The only positive thing was the location, but you can easily find a much better valued accommodation around as we found a bit too late. There wasnt any redeeming qualities. It has everything needed for a nice trip to Milan. It was bit loud at night with the trams but not a big deal after walking all day and passing out on the bed.

• Phillipa (9/5): Great location and good value - The location was great, incredibly central, but the apartment shutters/windows meant it was quiet and dark. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. The sofa bed can fold out into a double bed, though this means it is almost touching the main bed. However, it can be separated to have one stand-alone single bed, which can be placed in the other room (kitchen area) to give you more space. The location of the shower head means you are a little bit squashed between the taps and the shower curtain.

Check-in was extremely efficient, host is very reachable via whatsapp with instructions and advice for everything. The apartment is a perfect size and incredibly well located. Staying here was the highlight of our trip considering how cute the terrace is, the access to air conditioning, a very cute and well equipped kitchen. Honestly, there was nothing missing and I would recommend staying here to everyone. The bed was comfortable and it is rather spacious despite only have one bedroom. Because it was so well centered, we could go out whenever we wanted and come back in the hotter hours of the day to rest without having to do a long trip out of the city. Great value for money too. Amazing spot, thank you so much!
