• Jamie (10/5): Can’t beat these views! - Lovely beachfront stay! We were the only guests there at the time and it was very peaceful. The garden around the property was lovely. The young ladies running the lodge were available at any time to help us with whatever we needed. The bed was very comfortable after a long day of hiking and exploring the island. We loved the mosaic tile in the bathroom. The entire place was clean. WiFi, fridge and a/c worked perfectly. There is street parking if you have a car or there are taxis passing by at all hours. Probably user error but the tv didn’t work in our room. Also be careful on the stairs because they will be slippery when wet.

• Yvonne (9/5): Friendly Fiji experience - Prachtige locatie met fantastische uitzicht. We verbleven in de Dolpin kamer die heel ruim was met een fijne badkamer, warme douche, fijne handdoeken en een kleine kitchenette met waterkoker en koelkast. We kunnen echt niets bedenken wat niet beviel.

• Julian (10/5): Was the perfect place to stay in Savusavu. As good as it gets. - The friendly hosts who made you feel part of a family. Very relaxing and peaceful. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

I said that it was to hot at the veranda, almost immediately they put a fan on the ceiling. Th room is clean & the bed is comfortable. & there is a communal kitchen . Gecko Lodge deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you Ana & Jeremi. none

• Rakesh (8/5): Awesome view - Seaview room was spacious with beautiful Seaview You need to climb up stairs to get to your room. No vehicle access if you come with a rental. Vehicle has to be parked by the roadside which is safe

• Allison (7/5): A very pleasant, comfortable stay. The Air con was a bonus! - We stayed in the Garden Room. It was nice, clean and comfortable. No ocean view from our room, but in front of the property there was a table and chair where we sat and enjoyed our morning coffee with the beautiful ocean view. Nice property. A bit further out from the town of Savusavu so taking a cab was necessary for us but the cab fare is reasonable so not a big issue. The key is to find a reliable, timely cab driver that you can make arrangements with for pick-ups and drop-offs. The property also provided a list of cab drivers to contact which was very helpful. All in all, this was a comfortable place to stay.

Communal kitchen for cooking and views of beautiful Savusavu - Attention to detail in construction was excellent: Tile work in the bathroom, large sink, beautiful sliding doors... and the staff takes excellent care of the property, from landscaping to cleaning thw rooms prior to arrival

A lot of power outlets located in the room, which was very useful. Much thought had gone into the property and its presentation. Clean. Everything worked. Loved the shower. I couldn't fault anything.

• Megan (8/5): Highly recommended! - Great location. Ana made us feel welcome. Room spacious and comfortable. Good air conditioning. Communal kitchen area is easy to use and only a couple of rooms so not a problem to share. Was perfect for our needs.
• Christa (10/5): This is a lovely place to stay - This is a lovely place to stay. Ana is a great host, and she made us feel very welcome. We loved staying there. From the common area, you can see the bay and the daily visit of a kingfisher. There is an open-air kitchen, and the fridge and kettle are in the room. We also highly recommend Savitri's cooking class.
• Sheerwood (9/5): perfect spot - Ana is an excellent host and a warm friendly and welcoming person who made our time there a memorable one. This is an excellent spot if you like being near to town without the hustle and bustle as it was 10 to 15 mins stroll to shops and some cheap and great restaurants. Once back at your room the views are spectacular and restful in the lovely garden.

• Kathleen (10/5): Clean, comfy and artsy two night stay was just perfect for me, in Savusavu. - Open air kitchen, sunset, close to town, fresh complementary fruit upon arrival, owner arranged snorkeling and made certain I got on the bus in time at 0600, pleasant guests and best of all….harvesting the ripening banana bunch from the tree in the backyard!! Hmmm, can not think of anything.

• Franziska (10/5): Exceptional - On the second day I was staying there, one of the owners of Gecko Lodge passed away. This place will be shut (at least the next months). They immediately gave me the Option to either stay or refund the remaining days without charge. Although I was staying only 2 nights there and 6 were refunded, Jeremy and Saras Family were incredible hospitable and made me feel at home inspite of the circumstances. Thanks Jeremy, Saroj, Natasha and Sunny for everything.
• Patty (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful location, clean, comfortable and spacious place to stay with a gorgeous view. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Easy to get back and forth to town via taxis or hitchhiking. Highly recommend for your Savusavu stay. Nothing, everything was great!

• Bernd (9/5): Great stay at Gecko Lodge in Savusavu - Gecko lodge is a great location with lovely views over the ocean and the bay. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful - with lots of information and recommendations for us - and every morning we had fresh bananas. Having a kitchen area meant that we could shop in the local market for fresh produce to prepare. Nothing really, if anything ... the air-con was a bit on the noisy side, but still manageable.
