I would have liked fresh clean towels to be delivered daily but I did not communicate this to reception. Been to so many holiday parks and they give us fresh towels daily without asking, so it may have been a little different with this holiday park. Would have liked the pool to be cleaned. It wasn't the hottest day to swim but I swim even if it is not too hot. I use it as an ice bath for muscle recovery.

Plenty of space we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Park offers its own coffee van and food vendors plus live music. (This may just be during Tamworth music festival) We didn’t have any problems with the property

• James (6/5): Disappointed and won’t return. - The property was close to ALEC, which is what we needed. The park’s toilet and shower facilities were great, and really clean. The automated laundry payment system fabulous. We didn’t use the pool. We had the 2 bedroom ‘house’ attached in a block to the reception area. As much as it had good space for us, it was far from what was pictured. The small yard was overgrown and messy. There was no bbq on the back deck as pictured. The shower was gross, mouldy and needed a good clean. Under our bed was disgusting, absolutely filthy. We arrived on a Sunday, the house was cleaned on the Monday and that was it. I don’t know what the go was with that, but reception was closed when we got back each day. No air-con in main bedroom, and fan didn’t work. Sofa was disgusting, ripped and smelly. Looked as though it had been picked up off the side of the road. Carpet needed a good clean. We have stayed in the park before, in our own van, but will not be returning. After reading the other reviews, they don’t seem to be addressing the issues already complained about numerous times. It was really disappointing actually, especially for the price that we paid for our stay.

Run down property, dirty,spider webs throughout, mould throughout bathroom, property smelt, office staff said she gave it a quick clean but it was too hot for an in depth clean and wouldn’t have had our room ready til late even though I checked in at check in time of 2pm. . Park facilities were nothing like as shown in photos and not maintained at all. After walking in the property I handed key back within 5 minutes hoping for an alternate room to which they declined. Staff were rude, Wouldn’t offer a refund or credit. Don’t recommend staying here.

• Pamela (2/5): Whilst convenient to where we needed to go the cleanliness ( or lack of) left a lot to be desired. The place presented - Convenient to where we were going. We had what they called a house with 3 bedrooms and only one bathroom. Thankfully a separate toilet . They advertise you can have 8 people. Well provisioned though in kitchen and comfortable beds. Pillows less so. Very hard and thick. Good communal area with BBQ’s and fridge and plenty of seating. Water was hot the next two days. The afternoon we arrived there was only lukewarm water. The crockery, glassware, and cutlery were dirty as was cookware. We had to boil a kettle to wash cups and glasses to have a drink. The place was pretty dirty and in need of a paint.

UK family's 2 bedroom house wasn't too good, dated and looked like it needed a bit of TLC. 2nd bedroom was a concern as it was through 2 locked doors out the back in a courtyard and then through another 2 locked doors into a 2 bed room. Nieces were scared and creeped out it was out the back through 4 locked doors. Not ideal for children at all.

• Michaela (10/5): Excellent - We loved our stay at City Lights Holiday Park. We were contacted prior to our stay about getting a free upgrade, which I didn’t think much of at the time. But when we arrived, the lovely lady who checked us in explained our upgrade was for one of their brand new cabins (built 4 weeks ago). I was pretty thrilled! Staying here felt like absolutely luxury. We’d love to come back next year! The holiday park was far enough out of town that we were not bothered by town noises or concerns. And it was really cool to see the city lights from our cabin. I loved that our cabin location meant we looked at the neighbouring sheep paddock from our veranda. My little boy and I thought it was excellent. Excellent value for money. We’ll be back! Nothing bothered us here.
