• Subodh (3/5): Charged more than a hotel and turned out to be a disaster. - Nothing This apartment was not up to an acceptable standard. 1. The apartment was hot during the day and also during the night. No AC, no air cooler and the fans simply failed to even create an air flow. Even at a distance of 6 inch, one could not feel any air flow. this was a breach of minimum quality standard which the apartment should have maintained. 2. The rooms door number locks could not be locked from inside this means that anyone with the password could open the main door of the flat. there was no internal lock to prevent doors from opening. As a result I had to carry my valuables & documents with my back pack throughout the day out. This was a major security concern. There was no one to address to above issues (unlike a hotel)!! Owner responded by email and denied staying that you must have read the features while booking the room. What an attitude!! 3. One of the rooms was smelling (toilet like smell) due to small window behind the cup board open to some duct of toilets vents and it had to be closed to let the smell be out of the room. the window itself couldn’t be closed fully. another issue and another security concern. 4. There was no usable storage in the cupboards as all drawers were stuffed with old towels stored to facilitate the business at the cost of customer comfort. 5. Fridge had someone else’s beef steak stored, meaning that it was not even cleaned. 6. Washing m/c was fully loaded with linen inside !! 7. Drier was working even when we returned to this apartment in the night. housekeeping staff doing other flat’s work during “rented period”? price was exorbitant as good hotels available at this price of pound 550 for 2 nights!! Booking.com is responsible for such overcharged vacation rentals as I compare now with hotels.com, Agoda and even hotel’s websites. This was a mistake booking in a rush without a ground work. Booking.com responded that someone would respond within 24 hour but none. booking.

• Elizabeth (6/5): Ok for a group visiting central London for a short stay. - Most of the beds seemed relatively comfortable and rooms were big enough for our group staying one night. Plenty of amenities were provided in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. It felt safe with the keypad entry and the instructions and communications from owners were clear and timely. The windows were left open for us when we arrived which was good as it was a really hot weekend.we appreciated the tea and coffee stuff, however there was milk in the fridge that was out of date (not sure if this was left by previous occupants?) The bannister in the entry hall to the flat was coming off the wall which gave us a negative impression as soon as we arrived. Even with the windows open it was too hot to sleep in all the upstairs rooms. Maybe some fans would have helped...better still air conditioning? (however that may be expecting too much for the price/ age of property perhaps). Because we had to leave the windows open all night, it was very noisy due to people outside/ bin collections/ takeaway customers and seagulls. Most of our group didn't really get much sleep. No one wanted to use the shower the next day as it had tiles held on to the wall with tape and was quite rusty in parts.
• Anne (7/5): Good - Bedrooms a nice size. Great location in a lively interesting area. Host very accommodating about earlier arrival and later vacating. Suits very well a family rental. Kitchen very basic and poorly lit worktop. Oven not functional and only one very small saucepan for stove top. Everything clean and new but a bit light.
