Io sono intollerante al lattosio e sono stati gentili nel trovare alternative adatte a me. Il rapporto qualitá prezzo è ottimo. Il bagno è piccolino, ma comunque attrezzato di tutto il necessario. C’e una salita che puó essere scomoda se si hanno valige pesanti ma che a noi non ha creato alcun problema

• Dounia (9/5): - We stayed only one night at Castel of Himara. The place has an amazing view and the room was comfortable and clean. The homemade breakfast was really good. It was a great experience. I recommend ! Keep in mind that you need to walk about 10 minutes uphill on slippery stones to get there, so better without luggage. And might be tiring after a long day of the beach. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Desayuno casero muy rico y unas vistas de cuento! Es verdad que desde donde uno deja el coche hasta la propiedad hay que subir caminando unos 5/10’ por un camino de piedra, al principio cuesta un poco pero luego es hasta placentero viendo la vegetación y animales del lugar. Un experiencia diferente pero sin duda maravillosa! 100% recomendable, gracias por todo!❤️

Usciti dalla casa potete visitare il castello con tutti i suoi panorami ed una chiesa ben conservata al suo interno Sconsigliato a chi ha handicap motori, si percorrono circa 200mt tra le strade di un castello medioevale

• Guest (10/5): Vista al mar y calma total - Alejado del ruido de la ciudad en las ruines de un castillo.... pequeñas casitas en piedra y con una excellente vista! Todo se paso muy bien, lo recomiendo! Excelente desayuno! Atencion hay una caminata de 10 minutos para llegar al hotel.

We stayed only one night but it seemed we could stay more nights to explore more sights. There was almost empty soap in a bathroom and it looked strange why they couldn't fill the soap.

Cama y almohada cómodas, habitación muy limpia, y con mini nevera. Es una familia encantadora, desayuno riquísimo y en un enclave único. Sin duda, tienen que reservar. Nada.
• Katerina (9/5): Room with amazing view to the sea - Accommodation in the castle of Himara, room with a small balcony and amazing view of Himara bay, super-clean room, friendly staff that provided instructions in advance on how to reach the place. Nice breakfast in the terrace of the house prepared by the owners, which is also used as cafeteria where you can have a drink or eat something. You need to walk 5-10 mins to reach the place on semi-slippery stones (not ideal for all) but we knew this from the beginning.

You need a 10min uphill walk to get the to place from the car park. It was not mentioned in the description when booking. There was no wi-fi. Host sent these info after booking. Host`s parents running the place and they do not speak anything but Greek, and Albanian.

• Qani (10/5): Living in a dream - If you want to live in a dream, came for a night in Castle of Himara, located at ancient livable castle. Sleep in ancient place, wake up with rising sun toward your window, eat breakfast prepared by Eleni & Thanasi (owner) and enjoy the view in front of you with Himara city down there at the left, Livadhi beach at the right and the mighty sea on the horizont. You can stay there forever, admiring the landscape and feeling the sea breeze as you lose yourself in the fragments of history this castle holds. In the evening you can enjoy a glass of wine with the sun that touches the sea. Thanks for best experience ever !

The hosts were really kind, helpful on any request and the breakfast really delicious. We mostly enjoyed the calm and the view from the patio.

The room is a bit outdated and there is no noise isolation at all, the parking is public parking and a lot of times it's full. If you have heavy bags it will be a challenge to carry them in a 10 min walk uphill.

Host was lovely although only a little english this was no problem. It's in the old town so you need to walk 200m up a stone path. Was no problem for us but others may have inconvenience. • Caitlin (8/5): Nice home stay with a local family in a unique location. You will need a car. It is then a 5min walk on cobblestones fro - Amazing view at breakfast. Cool location inside himara castle ruins. Host was accomodating with making breakfast earlier when I needed to leave early. More of a home stay. The rooms are on a property owned by an elderly couple who speak minimal English so will need to use google translate to communicate. Booking.com advertises wifi, which you are then told is “a bit patchy” prior to arriving due to the location of the accomodation, but when you arrive there is no wifi anywhere. This is more of an issue of advertising services that aren’t provided. Similarly it is advertised there is parking but this is the general public parking for the castle. The host will also send you a google drive video with directions how to find the accomodation - make sure you download this while you have reception/service as you will struggle to find it without this.

• David (9/5): Superb - The accommodation is located in an amazing place in the middle of the ruins of the medieval castle, with the stunning view of the Himarë bay and the mountains, which can be enjoyed from the terrace where the breakfast is served and from the room balconys and patios. The staff is very friendly, rooms clean and stylish. The house is not a hotel, but a private property, so you may feel rather as in a guest room in someone's house than in a hotel. Anyway, the atmosphere is perfect. There is nothing to complain of. The accommodation is very cheap (at least our room was) so we did not expect particular level of comfort. Our room was nice and clean but really small with no space where to unpack cloths, our bathroom was extremely tiny. Ideal for a sleepover, or as a base for trips, ideally for backpackers. Not too suitable for longer stays and heavy baggage (also because of the necessity to walk about 10 minutes on the rocky path from the parking up to the top among the ruins of the castle). But maybe the other three rooms are more spatious than the one we had. However, we were fully satisfied as we got exactly what we needed and expected.

Not difficult but requires a little effort. Totally worth it tho
• Verónica (8/5): Most likely best views in Himara - Priceless views in a very unique and historical location. The way to the property can be challenging, especially if you arrive at night. But it is totally safe, you might need some light from your phone. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility or carrying lots of luggage, as it’s a steep way just with stones. At the same time, this is what makes this place unique. Got bitten by some small bugs at night. There were storms and even though the window was closed the water came through making the bed wet.

This is our go to place to stay in Himare. The place is a bit outside of the city and you need a car to get to it, plus a 10 minutes walk uphill through the castles ruins.
• Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, a very unique experience. Unbelievable views and the most calm and serene setting. Would absolutely book again in a heartbeat. I had a cute little room. Breakfast overlooking the sea makes everything so worthwhile. I was travelling by bus so had no car. My fault as I left the booking too late. Town is about a 40 minute walk each way. Downhill on the way but up on the way back. To be honest, it was fine and it's not a complaint. There was no WiFi in my room but they let me in the house to use and quite frankly it was nice to not have WiFi!
• Sam (10/5): Absolutely amazing - you have to stay here!!!! - You have to stay here - it is amazing!! We spent 3 nights at the Castle of Himara and wish we could have stayed longer. Great breakfast included, and the hosts also offer a yummy dinner menu which you order the morning of. The balcony is 5-star - I don’t think there is a better view of Himara! We will be back Wifi is non-existent, however we were running data so wasn’t an issue.

• Catherine (10/5): Peace and beauty - In between the ruins of what once was a castle, some houses have been restored. The house of Eleni and her husband is a little gem. It has several rooms upstairs and a small room in the garden. The last one was where I stayed. It's beautiful, practical and has a great bed. The room was also perfectly clean. The best about staying here is the garden/patio and the fantastic view over Himarë and the sea. Eleni cooks well and you can eat whatever she prepares that day. Nothing fancy, just honest fresh food. Price/quality this place is fantastic. There is also a little café/tavern just around the corner open until late in high season. There is really nothing I didn't like

Nese do te vish hajde per kulturen dhe pamjen. Ketu ne verande eshte shume fresk edhe me 35 grade jashte nuk e ndjen. Stafi eshte kaq i sjellshem dhe vendi i qete. The guest house is situated in the middle of the ruins of Castle of Himare and that was a really unique experience! The entire place is so lovely, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. The place looked like it could be in the movie Mamma Mia, overlooking the sea, grapevines hanging from the ceiling, lemon trees in the courtyard! The hosts were very hospitable although they did not understand English but that was not a barrier. This was the best priced place i lived in, in Albania and it was bang for the buck! The room was a tad bit small but very cozy and comfortable.

• Agnieszka (1/5): The owner didnt open the door so I had to book another place to stay - The photos from booking. I booked this place to stay and then I received some instructions how to get there. The video was helpful. But when I arrive it was closed. I used the bell and ring it several times, but noone came. I texted the owner on booking but the signal was not too good. When I get back to the car and booked another place to stay (it was 8pm) the owner of castle of himara texted me that I should ring a bell (which I did a few times)!

The host is charming, the facilities are great and food is delicious! Definitely order dinner there- you won’t find anything better around himare! the Greek salad was exceptional! And breakfast with a view was delicious

No needed to get out from there, much better to have dinner with that view than going in town...and the owner, that will cook for you, really knows how to do it! I think I had the best greek salad of my life in here and the meat was so far the best I had in Albania...very good job!

• Sylwia (9/5): Beautiful home in beautiful place - Room is situated in a historical area of the Himara Castle. View from the room and from the terrace was awesome. Great homemade breakfast. Cosy room with any facilities needed. No problem with free public parking down the road (at least in October). Video from the owner's son was really helpful in getting to the spot, as you need to make a 5 min walk from the car If your goal is going to the beach, you may find it's a long way. And obviously if you have problems with walking/very heavy luggage, you may need to reconsider.
• Katie (10/5): Great little guesthouse with stunning views - Go to this place for the most gorgeous views and great hospitality. Communication through booking.com was very quick and arrival information is easy to follow. Even though we only communicated with the owner through a language barrier, we absolutely loved it, felt at home, and managed to have some laughs with him. This is a very unique location and it's just what I look for on my travels :) - The food was very good too!! Personally nothing! My mum isn't overly fit so she wasn't impressed with the walk up there (but was very happy when she arrived) and she mentioned their bed was abit hard. But nothing major!

• Tiefert (10/5): An authentic Albanian experience! - Amazing view and in a historical castle! Relaxed atmosphere and quiet location. We were given good directions and advised ahead of time we needed to walk to the hotel up through the historical area because cars can't reach it. The Livadh Beach nearby is one of the best and only a short drive away. It is also just a short drive into the town of Himare, which has everything you need. The shower was a little difficult to handle. I believe it's because the water pressure is not very good because of the location. For me it wasn't a problem, but some may find the rooms quite small. We had all we needed within a small space.

The place were we stayed was great, and we have nothing to complain about from that, however the parking to access it was supposed to be public, but some random old person wanted to make us pay, with no actual reason... So be mindful of that during summer!

Breakfast was very well prepared (everyday we had a different breakfast) and really good! We had dinner for a cheap price in these 3 days and the food was excellent and made with a lot of love and dedication! Tip: the Greek salad is wonderful!! Of all, what we liked most was the service of the hosts! Wonderful people who treated us so well, like we were family! We would stay there many and many times!
• Besian (10/5): Everything was perfect! - This guesthouse is the most welcoming that you can find in Himara. The owners, Thanas and Eleni were so sweet! Traditional food cooked by Eleni, was delicious. Thanas' homemade traditional wine and rakia are the best that we have tried. The cleanliness was on point. The view was amazing, and we felt like we were on Olympus! Nothing that we did not like.
