- Mark (8/5): Good base for exploring downtown Cairo. - Rooms were comfortable. Pool area was nice to have.
Marvellous views of the Nile from the roof terrace. And we could just about see the pyramids.
Dokki station is only a 10-minute walk.
Contrary to other reviews we found the staff friendly and helpful.
We got late check out for $20.
The restaurant food was reasonably priced (for a hotel) and good. Service in restaurant was a bit slow and breakfast nothing to write home about. But this did not detract from our staff.
- Rizwan (10/5): Wonderful stay - Very neat
Staff is very friendly and concerned
Breakfast is good
Swimming Pool is nice and clean Nothing
- Mohammed (9/5): Superb -
- Khanfar (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were wonderful and very kind to us as a family. They changed our rooms to a more family-friendly hotel apartment. This was wonderful of them and we appreciate it very much. They are very cooperative and fulfill our requests quickly and professionally. Nothing
- Fajer (10/5): Exceptional - They gave me up grade room without asking them
- Anonymous (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back! - I usually don’t write long reviews, but this hotel truly deserves it. I travelled with my Norwegian husband and our children, and we all had such a great time. Everything was fantastic – from the staff to the food to the pool.
The staff were the friendliest we met in all of Egypt from Mr. Michael at the reception, to the restaurant team, the shisha man at the 18th floor café, and the café waiters. Everyone was kind and welcoming. I’m Egyptian myself, and I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. I’m not very good at remembering names, otherwise I would thank even more people as they all deserve it.
The food was delicious, and the view and drinks at the 18th floor café were amazing. The pool was clean and peaceful, and we really appreciated being able to order food and drinks there. The staff by the pool were also very attentive.
The breakfast was great too, and the breakfast staff were always smiling and helpful. The hotel had a calm and relaxing atmosphere – perfect for families. If I have to mention something small, it would be that they could clean a bit better under the beds. But the room was cleaned every day if we used the “clean my room” sign, with fresh bed sheets and new mineral water bottles.
- Muna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sofia (10/5): ON OUR GLOBAL MARCH TO GAZA,THIS PLACE WAS A HAVEN!!! - Location, friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and exceptional breakfast The building is a little confusing to get to the breakfast area, there could be a note on the elevator but just ask at the reception.
- Mahmoud (8/5): Very good - The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was nice and clean, and the restaurant food was good for breakfast and lunch. Also, we enjoyed the pool, and the lifeguard was very cautious The surrounding views of the hotel

- Ogab (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sian (8/5): Lovely helpful staff, pleasant stay - Staff super friendly and ready to help you with anything, breakfast was really good! Lots of variety. Lack of privacy from the room, there are locals living on the roof, their rooftop kitchen and cleaning themselves was my direct view..

Big and beautiful restaurant, food is delicious and fresh. Restaurant staff are very nice and helpful. The view of the room is not nice. The mini fridge is very dirty. The carpet in the room is not clean and the bathroom is old. There are cracks in the bathtub and it was not clean enough.
- Reem (9/5): It was a very pleasant stay - The property is well located, near to touristic attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful, housekeeping is very good, special thanks to Ms. Hala from housekeeping for taking care of our suit.
Laundry is great, nearby supermarket Metro is very convenient.
The views from the breakfast rooftop were very enjoyable.Thank you to Marwa Palace hotel staff for making our trip to Egypt a memorable experience. Family Suites have only one bathroom

- Abida (4/5): Wouldn’t recommend, sorry to the staff who actually cared about their jobs but I didn’t come across anyone who did! - The room service was delicious, cheap and quick perfect for when you need to feed the kids before bedtime. It was in a busy location, very loud traffic and neighbourhood 24:7. We found hair all over the pillows as soon as we checked in and when I asked for replacement pillow cases, the receptionist couldn’t under stand basic English then said house keeping was closed for the day. After insisting multiple of times that I needed a PILLOWCASE they said they would send someone. This took 2 hours to which on the last call I requested to speak to the manager and finally they sent me 2 pillowcases. Disgusting hygiene, poor customer service, ridiculous communication. Shocking. Not worth it better to stay in the affluent area of Cairo with better hotels in the industry.
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ella (6/5): Mixed experience at Marwa Palace – Not quite what we expected - We stayed at Marwa Palace for our last night in Cairo after flying back from Hurghada late at night. Since we arrived around 10:40pm, we just ordered takeout and went straight to bed.
The next morning, the supermarket right outside was very handy and affordable for snacks. We spent the day exploring Cairo and noticed the hotel pool looked nice, but didn’t have time to use it. When we returned, we found an anniversary cake waiting in the room for our honeymoon, which was a thoughtful touch, but sadly we didn’t have time to enjoy it before leaving for the airport. Unfortunately, it was the only hotel I’ve ever stayed in where the bed sheets were scratchy and uncomfortable—like rough, old towel material—which made it hard to sleep. The room also didn’t have a TV and only had a tiny window. It was quite noisy too.
The surrounding area was not very pleasant or safe. The front desk staff warned us against walking outside, and when we returned to the hotel after sightseeing, some locals tried to open the taxi doors forcibly, so hotel security had to escort us inside.
Overall, while the hotel had some nice gestures, the uncomfortable bedding, lack of amenities in the room, noise, and location issues made our stay less enjoyable.
- Zahra (10/5): Exceptional - Everything more than perfect, only one thing need to be changed ( Toilets ) i tried 4 rooms all of them were clean but not 100% Toilets
- Abhinesh (10/5): Great comfortable & staffs were so friendly throughout from front desk, lobby manager restaurant. All were superb. - Overall comfort and location
Near centre.
Everything easily accessible. Nothing
- Mouna (5/5): Passable - We arrived very late at night for check-in, and despite this, we were charged for the full night. It would have been more reasonable to offer an early check-in with a supplement rather than charging for a full night that we barely used.
Additionally, on the day of our departure, we checked out very early in the morning (around 5 AM) and were unable to benefit from the breakfast included in the rate. In other hotels, we've appreciated that staff prepare takeaway breakfast boxes in such situations — unfortunately, this was not offered here.
Finally, we asked for two small bottles of water at the reception for our children, but the staff refused to provide them for free, even though we no longer had any local currency, as it was our last day. This lack of flexibility and empathy was truly disappointing, especially in a hotel that aims to welcome families.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ibrahim (9/5): Very Good Stay thanks to everyone of the team in front offices, food and beverage, housekeeping and pool attendants - Very clean and spacious rooms with great value for money The Spa facility is not so good; it is not operated by the hotel.
- Anonymous (10/5): Overall, it was a great hotel and I would really recommend it. I would stay here again. - This hotel really exceeded expectations. The staff were so hospitable and ready to take care of any of our needs. The outdoor swimming pool was so lovely to lounge beside or take a dip in the mornings and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice! The rooms could perhaps been a little bit bigger and the fridge made in the room made a loud noise and didn't seem to actually be keeping anything cold but rather there was a lot of heat emulating from it.
- Dr. (5/5): Changing the rates from booking app - The problem was with the booking app
I paid $350 through booking and the next day morning was for the same period $220
I went to hotel at around 11:00 p.m. and the next day the rate was less from 350 to 220 US dollar in booking app
I recommended an answer for the big difference in the rate from the hotel there was no answer
- Paolo (8/5): Very nice hotel in Dokki - Good hotel in Dokki, nice area nearby the Nile, about 10 minutes walk from the Dokki Metro station.
Everybody was super nice and smiling. Large and clean swimming pool.
Great breakfast, from the restaurant you have a very nice view of the pyramids and the Nile. none
- Graeme (4/5): Disappointing - They gave us small towels, you could hear the lift ding all night. The location had beggars out side all the time. No toilet paper.
- Anderson (10/5): Kind hearted staff with a beautiful hotel & amazing view - The staff was fantastic. Rasha and the team were amazing. I dislocated my shoulder and they helped me get to the hospital and checked up on me daily . Breakfast was good and the pool was lovely. They even got their own speaker for you to connect to Honestly Internet might need some work when large amount of guests are there. But this is such a small thing

- Saif (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sanad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loujayna (2/5): not worth of the money. - the view from the hotel's restaurant. Not the best and the bathromm was really small and very old. its didn’t meet my expectation.
- Balazs (10/5): Excellent hotel - Fantastic place, really ticking it all. Good location, good staff, good food, good pool, good price. Really, for the price I expected much less. The hotel's restaurant is also okay for dinner with very good prices. The previous guests must have smoked in our room as it smellt quite bad. Also, the air conditioning units did not work properly, one smelling really really nasty (the sort that makes you ill), one being very loud and the other simply not working. Fortunately it was not that hot during our stay.
- Jailton (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff. Bad Internet connection and wc flush was broken.
- Yahya (6/5): Not happy - Location Room is old
Bathroom very small and not clean
"Breakfast is not varied and the taste is not acceptable."

- Fatma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabella (9/5): Superb -
- Aloísio (7/5): Good -
- Jo (10/5): This place made our stay in Egypt the best possible ! - So welcoming, polite, greeted us with a cake for husbands birthday. Lovely clean room, excellent food options, good value for money. Nothing
- Javier (9/5): Recommended - Breakfast was good. Nothing extremely special but good enough.
- Eline (5/5): Good location and breakfast, but we did not sleep well here because of the noise and dirty bedsheets - Breakfast room with view on the piramides The sleeping conditions were not good in this hotel, at least not up to standard of a four star hotel. The beds were dirty, there were stains and black hairs in them upon arrival, and the sheets were old.
Alarms went of many times during the night, this happens when the door lock of a room is not closed in time. So when you’re neigbours are not mindfull with the door you can barely sleep (at least not without earplugs).
We complained at the reception about the above issues, they kindly offered a different room, but we never got it. Also we asked for different pillows and we never got them.
- Shabneez (6/5): Besides our experience l, It’s a good affordable hotel, bathroom requires renovation as everything is just old. - Laundry service, cleaning personnel’s attitude and friendliness. The hotel offered us a room which was not clean when the staff took us to our room, even the latter was surprised.
We were then offered another room, however the management did not update same on their system. We were slapped with outrageous bills of 3 other relatives who checked out one night prior.
Imagine just as you’re getting out for lunch, the manager calls you and tells you that you have to checkout right now or pay a fine. We missed lunch with family we have not seen for 5 years as the hotel and it’s management took hours to understand and handle the matter.
We admitted defeat at a stage and settled the relatives bills which they agreed to reduce.
The guest relationship employee then brought us 2 piece of cake.
I asked for transportation service to the airport, they offered the hotel limousine for $20 (surreal and silly me), i tried bargaining given how much we lost, they said E£600 and i went to pay.
ONCE OUT WITH OUR LUGGAGE ON THE STREET, THEIR SO CALLED HOTEL LIMOUSINE WAS AN OLD MITSUBISHI IN WHICH OUR LUGGAGE WOULDN’T FIT WAITING FOR US.
Went inside talk to the manager, his response “ i can order and uber for you and you pay the driver.”
Ruined our last day in Egypt !
Choosing cheap comes with a price !!!
- Zubair (9/5): Good Value for Money - Nice hotel, officially in Giza but just on the banks of the river nile. Accessible to most of the attractions and well known hotels to taxi drivers and commuters. Breakfast is very good with various options. The rooms are a little bit old and renovation is happening on a phased approach.
- Cabot (1/5): Do not stay at this hotel!!! - Maybe the location was ok. Walking distance to restaurants. No other good points about the hotel. I would not recommend this place to stay. Choose another hotel. We stayed in 4 hotels in Egypt and never encountered a hotel this dirty. So many things are wrong with this hotel. I normally do not complain about hotels but this one was absolutely disgusting.
- There was black hair everywhere over the apartment including the shower.
- Tissue on the floor in one room
- Receipt for burger king on the floor in another room. We had not been to burger king
- The kitchen had a bad odor.
- Almost all light switches had some sort of grime on them
- The main bed did not have a cover on the blanket unlike all the other beds.
- The air conditioner in one room was not working and hot air came out instead of cold air. No way of changing the temperature so obviously broken.
- The apartment is for 8 people and there were only 2 mugs.
When we went down to tell the front desk people that it needed to be cleaned they did not care. I told them that we will go for dinner and housekeeping can go in and clean it. After returning from dinner 2 hours later they informed us it was clean but the room was still the same. Went back down and finally was able to get housekeeping to follow us to the room. Told them we just want all the hair vacuumed and the bed fixed. Even getting them to get all the hair up was difficult. We actually paid for 3 nights just because we had a late night flight on the second day. I regret this now. We would have been better off just sitting in the airport. That's probably cleaner.
- Najlaa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lydia (9/5): recommended - We enjoyed our stay very much. The family room was great for a family of 4. ( note: it was a bit difficult to understand how to book it from the site. So we booked 2 seperate rooms and communicated our request to change to the family room through messaging to the hotel and the hotel was kind enough to accept.) We found the area to be very good choice , as it was walking distance to the Nile shores ( 10'-15')and Al Tahir square (45'), close to the Cairo University , so a lot of young people in the area, but also easy to go with Uber to Zamalek and pyramids area. We also used the pool a lot , which we found it very good and useful as an option, as well as the restaurant where we chose twice to take our dinner ( besides the daily breakfasts). The food was delicious, at very good price and the staff was very helpful and kind. Also we liked that the hotel reception area was always open, there were always 1-2 persons as guards and it made you feel safe at any time 24h/day. I would definitely go back again. Some of the bath towels seemed to be a bit old and at the end of their life. Also , the bathroom smelled a bit, especially when we had the ventillator open, but perhaps this is only a problem in the family room. Despite the above, the stay overall was very pleasant
- Tatiana (8/5): Quiet hotel with good location and swimmingpool - Breakfast is good. Offers standard buffet with fresh products. Transportation arranged by the hotel is expensive. Uber is much more affordable
- Lauren (10/5): Brilliant staff - Amazing staff. Would do anything to help you. Absolutely amazing I liked everything
- Osas (5/5): Tho the hotel was good and the management was friendly and I couldn’t complete my stay and I was told I will be refunded -
- Saleh (7/5): Good -
- Nasir (10/5): Great place to be in with family - Location Breakfast could have been better
- Yiannis (7/5): Good -
- Demi (9/5): Superb -
- Mowes (9/5): Superb - Good staff, great location and quite area.
- Ali (9/5): Superb -
- Zahra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Perfect location, not far from the city but slightly on the side so you don't get woken up by the noisy traffic. Fantastic facilities, great breakfast and friendly and welcoming staff. I liked everything.
- Patrícia (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel is located on a quiet zone of cairo. Ubers are very cheap so was worth the choice. We arrived very early and they checked us in anyway. Our room was right after the elevators, it was always beeping loud, including at night time. Breakfast has no fruit
- Rima (2/5): - It was dirty like I had to have them switch my room also fridge didn’t work. They don’t give u any towels and if they do you’re lucky if you get 4. The hotel needs to be updated and they need channels that isn’t just in Arabic. I will never go back there oooo ya I had to buy dish soap so I can wash my coffee cups do I need to say more
- Naji (8/5): My home in Cairo - Good location at the heart of Cairo. Clean hotel. Very good breakfast with lot of varieties and very beautiful view from the restaurant . Excellent hospitality and staff very cooperative especially Mr Micheal. special appreciation to Chef Magdi at the restaurant. Nothing
- Mersad (8/5): Very good -
