• corine (8/5): - Le logement est situé à quelques minutes du bazar ( où se situent toutes les attractions touristiques) dans une partie de la ville typique et préservée. Nous avons pu faire toutes nos visites à pied. Les parents de Jona nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement même si ils ne parlent pas anglais. Le logement était impeccable et les lits confortables. L'accès en voiture est stressant. Nous passons par des rues étroites avec un accotement en contrebas. Les parents de Jona nous ont fait garer sur la route en forte pente contre un mur. Notre véhicule a été légèrement endommagé par un automobiliste qui s'était garé derrière nous, et qui visiblement a raté son démarrage en marche arrière et en pente... Il vaut peut-être mieux se garer au niveau du parking des bus, quitte à transporter ses bagages sur 300 mètres. Le logement a une décoration vieillote. Certaines photos du descriptif ne correspondaient pas au logement que nous avons eu (une chambre et une salle de bains). La cabine de douche n'est pas hermétique et les tapis de bains sont rapidement trempés.

La casa si trova vicinissimo alla via del vecchio bazaar e al castello. La casa è molto accogliente, non manca nulla. La mamma di Jona ci ha accolto con una gradita bevanda locale. Nulla, tutto perfetto. Anche l'accesso al garage è stato comodo

• palupi (10/5): Very welcoming hosts and we felt right at home - The hosts, Jona, Thoma and her mom are super! Their friendliness was the highlight of our 3 weeks balkan holiday. Gjirokaster was super hilly. Driving with car was challenging but she sent us a video beforehand so that we could anticipate it. Thank you so much!

• Matthias (10/5): - Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Hosts, die uns sogar im Auto den richtigen Weg durch die verwinkelten Gassen zur Unterkunft gezeigt haben. Apartment sehr sauber und groß, top Lage mit Sehenswürdigkeiten (Burg und Basar) in Laufweite. Wir haben erstmal einen Willkommens-Snack und -Drink erhalten und durften dad Auto auch nach Check-Out auf dem Parkplatz stehen lassen. Wirklich sehr liebe Menschen, deren Unterkunft sehr zu empfehlen ist!
• Sarah (10/5): - Logement très bien situé, à proximité immédiate du centre de Gjirokaster (10 minutes à pied des principales attractions), et proche du château. Situé sur les hauteurs du village, ce qui permet d'avoir une superbe vue sur la montagne. Le logement dispose d'une terrasse privée, idéale pour admirer le paysage environnant, ou juste pour se reposer. Il y a également un emplacement parking privé vers lequel les hôtes nous ont guidés. Les hôtes ont été plus qu'accueillants, avec de petites attentions qui ont rendu ce séjour mémorable. Merci ! Rien à redire !
• DominikMarczak (9/5): - Klimatyczne mieszkanie. Super przyjęcie, poczęstunek domowym kompotem oraz kandyzowanymi cytrynami. Właściciele byli bardzo pomocni, gdy okazało się że ze względu na gabaryt (BUS), nie chcemy nawet próbować zaparkować auto w garażu, znaleźli nam miejsce na ulicy. Po zaparkowaniu zobaczyliśmy że ktoś podłożył nam kamień pod koło, aby zabezpieczyć auto przed stoczeniem - bardzo miły gest. Mieszanie w samym centrum, blisko do starego centrum, kuchnia dobrze wyposażona. W jednym z pokojów nie działała klimatyzacja.

From the moment I arrived, the host made me feel so welcome – incredibly friendly, helpful, and always with a smile. The hospitality was truly top-notch and made me feel right at home. The place itself was spotless – everything was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable. The location is perfect too – close to the main attractions, but still peaceful and quiet at night. If you’re visiting Gjirokastër and want a cozy, clean, and welcoming place to stay, this is the one. I will definitely be coming back!

• Isis (10/5): Super lieve host, schone kamer en lekker dichtbij het centrum/kasteel - De host zorgde ervoor dat het makkelijk te vinden was, ondanks de hele smalle straatjes waar het lijkt dat je er niet doorkan. Door van te voren een video te sturen vanaf de grote weg was het makkelijk te vinden! De host zelf was er niet maar de ouders hielpen ons meteen met de koffers en het vinden van de parkeerplaats. Je wordt verwelkomt met een heerlijk drankje en wat lekkers! Beter kan niet :) Alles was netjes en er miste helemaal niks. Lekker dicht bij het centrum en het kasteel! Wij hebben hier 1 nachtje verbleven en het heel erg naar ons zin gehad! Niks

There is Free Parking, Free Wifi, Air-conditioning, washing machine, and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a big balcony with a fantastic views. Jona's parents are so gentle and respectful. They showed us the true Albanian Hospitality. They take care of all details from start to end. Overall, the house ambience gives you a feeling of the old nice times, along with gentle family. • cédric (10/5): - Nous avons passé un excellent moment chez Jona, un accueil incroyablement généreux, gentil et bienveillant, Jona et son mari ont fait tout au mieux pour que l'on se sente bien, et nous ont donné de très bons conseils pour visiter la ville. Le logement est superbe avec une vue magnifique sur la montagne et à seulement 2 minutes à pied du centre et son bazard. Une très belle expérience et c'est aussi grâce à des hôtes si gentils que notre voyage nous laissera de merveilleux souvenirs !!! Encore merci pour votre accueil !!!
• Eszter (10/5): Cozy, clean, close to the old town with the nicest host - The hosts were the nicest Albanians we’ve met! They are super nice even though they didn’t speak English at all! It is an old couple but they really are the nicest people. We had a welcome snack and drink when we arrived. There was cold water in the fridge. The room was clean and cozy, had working AC. The location was good too as it is very close to the old town and the castle. The shower is really nice too and I loved the mirrors. It is a bit tricky to find as there is no signs of the house at all, but the hosts were waiting for us outside and showed us the way. They even sent the location via WhatsApp. Be careful as Google Maps might lead you the wrong way. We took a taxi and the driver had to do some detours to get there.

Short walk to town Castle & Museum - Located in the old town with parking facilities which was a real bonus but were a bit challenging however with local help & help from host made this process a dream. Location was perfect within easy walking distance to the Old Town Castle & War Museum. Instructions received from host prior to arrival were very helpful. • Andre (9/5): Sentiment d’être plonger dans l’âme de Gjirokaster. - La vue dans la chambre de jour de nuit est super. L’accueil de la famille permet de s’y s’entire invités. La taille de l’appartement contraste avec le prix. L’emplacement est dans la vieille ville et à la fois bien situé pour se sentir au calme/ isolé.

The shower is hot and with a firm ray of water, just the way we like it. On walking distance from the beautiful city centre of Gjirokaster. Just perfect!

The thoughtful gesture of having the fireplace lit upon our arrival was greatly appreciated on a rainy January day, and they generously provided ample firewood throughout our stay. The accommodation was perfectly clean, comfortable, and cozy, offering lovely views. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Gjirokastër.

Nos hôtes ont été très aimables et serviables +++ Nous aurions apprécié avoir quelques petites choses pour la cuisine de type torchon ou sac poubelle. De plus, la douche fuyait au sol et le ballon d'eau chaude tenait à peine pour une personne, ce qui était dérangeant pour un mois de novembre frais et où l'eau sèche peu.

• Toby (10/5): Lovely house just beneath the castle - Jona and Thoma were wonderful generous hosts and the house is well appointed with lovely views. You have everything you could need and it’s good value. The narrow streets were interesting driving in, but they sent a helpful video to find the garage, and helped us out when we left. Lovely welcome with home produce, and great to feel like you experience a tiny bit of real Albanian life. Would happily have paid some extra for a breakfast option as the house is a walk away from town. No complaints!

• Gerhard (10/5): - Sehr geräumige Wohnung mit Balkon, Aussicht auf gegenüberliegenden Hang mit kleiner Moschee. Wir wurden nett mit Kaffee und eingelegter Pflaume begrüßt. Burg und Altstadt sind zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen. Parken in hauseigener Garage. Die Gassen bei der Anfahrt sind ziemlich steil und eng. So richtig stressig wird es aber bei der Abfahrt. Mit einem Kleinwagen ok, mit einem Wagen der unteren Mittelklasse, wie wir ihn hatten, extrem kanpp.

• MiCitron (6/5): - - La vue depuis l'appartement est sympa - L'appartement est grand et équipé du nécessaire - Les lits sont comfortables - La mère de Jona qui gère la location en son absence est très gentille bien qu'elle ne parle pas un mot d'anglais (elle communique via GoogleTrad) - L'appartement est difficilement accessible, tout en haut de petites ruelles pavés... impossible de s'y garer à moins de maîtriser et sportif d'y monter avec les bagages quand on laisse la voiture au parking de bus - Appartement à la décoration défraîchie et à l'équipement daté - Les parois de la douche restaient bloquées quand on les fermait de l'intérieur et il fallait lutter pour réussir à sortir de la douche ! - L'une des chambre n'a ni volets, ni climatisation. C'était difficile d'y dormir et de ne pas être réveillée dès 6h du matin... j'ai même été réveillée par la lumière des éclairs qui ont frappé toute une nuit - J'ai eu des échanges très compliqués avec Jona sur WhatsApp : Dès le check-in j'ai demandé par message quand il voulait que je paie et il m'a répondue quand je voulais, j'ai donc demandé à payer au check-out en rendant les clés à sa mère. J'ai répété alors la même chose à sa mère qui était à mes côtés et c'etait OK. Le lendemain Jona m'a envoyé des messages pour me demander où j'étais, que je le prévienne quand je rentrais afin que sa mère passe chercher l'argent... je lui ai alors dit que ce n'était pas ce qu'on avait convenu et que j'allais rentrer tard parce que mes journées étaient chargées en activités, ça ne m'arrangeait pas de devoir attendre sa mère à 23h. Il m'a alors dit que c'était la règle de payer le 1er jour ! J'ai alors redit qu'il fallait me le dire quand j'avais posé la question la veille plutôt que de m'accomoder sur le moment et changer d'avis juste après... il m'a alors répondu quelque chose de très TRÈS BIZARRE !! Peut-être que c'était dû à une mauvaise traduction (en utilisant une traduction littérale via GoogleTrad) mais il m'a répondu "I asked now because your parents will run away, you don't understand where the evil is.

Both me and my friend had probably the best night's sleep there. The apartment was clean and was very well looked after. The location is also great, super close to the castle and the bazaar, which is then close to the other sights to see in gjirokaster. Also, phenomenal value for money. Everything was perfect. • Johana (10/5): Wunderbar - so darf Urlaub sein! - Hier ist eine mögliche Bewertung für diese Unterkunft: --- Die Ankunft in dieser Unterkunft war definitiv ein kleines Abenteuer! Der Weg führt über Kopfsteinpflaster mit einer beträchtlichen Steigung nach oben, was schon für sich ein Erlebnis ist. Da die Unterkunft noch sehr neu ist und keine Schilder vorhanden sind, mussten wir erst einmal ein wenig suchen. Doch dann wurden wir von einem äußerst herzlichen älteren Ehepaar empfangen. Der Mann half uns sogar dabei, unseren Sharan in die Garage zu parken – eine große Hilfe! Obwohl das Ehepaar kein Englisch sprach, konnten wir uns wunderbar mit Hilfe eines Übersetzungsprogramms verständigen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist großzügig geschnitten. Es gibt zwei große Schlafzimmer mit ausreichend Schlafmöglichkeiten, ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer sowie eine große, gut ausgestattete Küche, die keine Wünsche offenlässt. Besonders gefiel uns der Balkon mit Beschattung, auf dem wir auch bei warmem Wetter entspannen konnten. Überall in der Wohnung gab es Klimaanlagen, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm machte. Die Betten waren bequem, sodass wir jede Nacht gut geschlafen haben. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist nahezu perfekt – sie liegt ruhig im Burgteil von Gjirokastra auf der Rückseite der Altstadt. In nur 10 Minuten ist man mitten im Geschehen, kann sich aber trotzdem auf eine ruhige Nacht freuen. Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war rundum gelungen, und wir werden noch lange daran zurückdenken. So sollte es immer sein! Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

• Anita (10/5): Une magnifique parenthèse dans le cœur de Gjirokaster ! - Super logement, vraiment spacieux, propre et confortable, idealement situé dans la vielle ville au pied du château, perché sur les hauteurs dont le balcon donnait sur une très belle vue dégagée. Nous nous y sommes senti comme à la maison. Juste exceptionnel de pouvoir dès l'arrivée remonter à peine quelques pavées (à pieds) pour se retrouver au château et au vieux bazar 'the place to be in Gjirokaster' où ça grouille de monde (à vos papilles et tout autre sens ...il y en a pour tous les goûts). Des hôtes également d'une gentillesse extraordinaire, super accueillants (avec des rafraîchissements et douceurs) de bon conseil et au petit soins tout en restant discrets. Encore merci beaucoup à eux pour leur super accueil sur ce court séjour que l'on aurait prolongé volontiers 😊. Je ne peux que recommander vivement et espérer y revenir de nouveau.

La clim est très appréciable en été (disponible dans toutes les pièces). Le balcon offre une vue imprenable sur le village. Les hôtes sont proches de l’habitation, disponibles et surtout très serviables et accommodants. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter si nous repassons par Gjirokastër !

L'accès en voiture par une ruelle étroite n'est pas aisée, mais on a réussi à atteindre le logement et à garer la voiture dans le garage.

• arlette (10/5): - Prachtige plek, midden op de berg,overweldigend uitzicht. Rustig, vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, schoon en ruim! Absolute aanrader! Beetje lastig te vinden,zowel de juiste weg voor de auto als het huis zelf omdat er geen naambordje hangt. Jona reageert snel dus vraag haar om hulp,dan komt het goed!

• Bruno (10/5): Magnifique - Super accueil, logement et vue magnifique, idéalement situé. Difficile de réaliser à quel point ce logement atteint la perfection.

• Mira (10/5): - Staying at home was comfortable. it was clean. the house had interior woodwork. the location was perfect. everything was within walking distance. the view from the balcony of the house was calming. near the house was the castle. in the evening you could enjoy the food of the restaurants in the bazaar, which was located very next to the house, everything was perfect.
• Brunilda (10/5): Great location at historical side! - Staying at this guest house was really nice. The house was clean and fully equipped. The location was perfect, just few minutes from the castle. The whole area was very quiet and historical center was walking distance were plenty of bars and restaurants which we visted at the evening. The hosts were very helpful and responding. We really enjoyed staying there!
