• Gonde (7/5): Eenvoudig hotel met vriendelijk personeel en lekker ontbijt! - Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was eenvoudig maar rustig en aangenaam. Het ontbijt was heel lekker en meer als voldoende (€5 per persoon). Het hotel ligt vrij afgelegen, maar op ongeveer 15 minuten wandelen ben je in het centrum (en hierdoor is het natuurlijk rustig aan het hotel). De hygiëne kon iets beter, vooral in de badkamer. Ook hing er een onaangename geur in de badkamer.
• Joseph (10/5): - We booked last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and we couldn’t have felt more at home. The room was spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. Not to mention the free on-site parking which can be rare to find at other properties. Irgen was extremely friendly - he took the time to chat to us about our trip and gave us some great advice about Albania in general. He carried our cases to our room, and even gave us complementary water which in a time of need was a very warming touch. As Irgen said, the universe brought us to St Pauli!

It offers a calm and quiet environment surrounded by nature, while still being close enough to reach the city’s main attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites within a short drive or walk. After a day of exploring the beautiful city and nearby Lake Shkoder, it was wonderful to return to such a tranquil setting. Breakfast each morning was fresh, varied, and delicious, with plenty of local touches that gave us a taste of Albanian hospitality. Parking was easy and secure, which was a big plus for us, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. What truly made our experience exceptional, however, was the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They were always available to assist with anything we needed, offered great recommendations for exploring the area, and treated us more like friends than just hotel guests. Their passion for making guests feel comfortable and cared for is what sets this hotel apart.

• Joao Adalor (10/5): A place that you will definitely LOVE - I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel St. Pauli. The place is clean, comfortable, and in a convenient spot to get around Shkoder. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help, which made the stay feel easy and relaxed. The rooms are simple but well-kept, and the atmosphere overall is quiet and pleasant. Definitely a good choice if you’re visiting the city. Mira the owner made sure to book a van for us to Valbona, she even gave us some fresh grapes from her house. Ester the girl with her excellent Italian made us a very good recommendation for the traditional restaurants in the city. Irgen the receptionist guy, was definitely an living encyclopedia for tours, travelling and history of Albania. Thank you for making our short stay so special.

Et une volonté de satisfaire et d'être prévenant. Le genre où on retourne. Au niveau équipement, un petit frigo serait le bienvenu et un parking plus à l'abri du soleil bien présent en Albanie

• Frederic (8/5): - Vriendelijke uitbaters. Kamer was basic maar proper. Hotel lijkt te bestaan uit een verdiep met vernieuwde, meer gezellige kamers en een verdiep met wat verouderde kamers. De kamer was spotgoedkoop. We hadden alles wat nodig was. We boekten nog een nacht bij. We deden vanuit Shköder een transfer voor de hike van Valbona nr Theth. We konden onze huurauto op de beveiligde parking van het hotel achterlaten voor 5€ per nacht. Het hotel ligt op 1,2 km van het levendige/drukke centrum van de stad. Kwartier wandelen maar wel een goede nachtrust😊. Badkamer had douchekop naast lavabo. Alles werd zo makkelijk nat, een aftrekker zou handig zijn in dit geval.

The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. The peaceful location just outside the city center was perfect for relaxing, yet still close enough to easily reach everything in Shkoder. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, served with care and a smile. We also appreciated the secure on-site parking, which was very convenient. It's clear the family puts a lot of heart into running this hotel, we truly felt at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Shkoder!

Nestled in a quiet but central part of Shkodër, this hotel effortlessly combines modern comfort with Albanian hospitality. The staff were truly the highlight of my stay, genuinely warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was giving tips for local restaurants, organizing a bike rental, or simply asking how my day was going, they made me feel like more than just a guest. The room was immaculate spacious, beautifully designed, and full of natural light. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (a lifesaver during the hot days). I also appreciated the thoughtful details: high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary water, and a spotless bathroom with great water pressure. Each morning began with a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace, offering a lovely view and a peaceful start to the day. The coffee was strong, the fruit fresh, and there was a good mix of traditional and continental options. The location was ideal. Yet it remained peaceful at night, offering the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Whether you’re visiting Shkodër for adventure, culture, or just to relax, I can’t recommend Hotel St. Pauli enough. It felt more like staying with friends than a hotel, and that’s rare to find.

The breakfast is very rich and absolutely worth the prices. They also helped to book the ferry to Valbona which makes this absolutely amazing. Mira (the owner) is very kind .

• Johannes (7/5): Mixed bag - Room was clean, the young staff lady that worked as room service/ waitress was really kind & helpful. Breakfast: We could tell it had been prepared hours ago when we got it served at 10:00 AM. Fried egg was cold, sausage slice dried up. Horribly bitter coffee as well unfortunately. Old lady at the reception shouted at my wife for asking the apparently stupid question for a WiFi passcode. Piping in our room is odd and made loud regular and quite loud whistling sounds when somebody else flushed their toilet. Luckily we found a fix by putting tap on "hot" position and opening it a tiny bit. Otherwise I don't think anyone on that floor could have slept that night. Room has windows to the hallway, so if you let the blinders open, everyone can just look inside when passing by. Bathroom has a window (right at the ceiling level) to the neighbors bathroom. You can hear the neighbors quite loudly through it.
• Radmyla (7/5): - Nice parking, cheap hotel (for me more like motel), breakfast included First time in Albania we had really strange “welcome” - grumpy lady on the reception, little bit strange behaviour (when you need really to wait to get a change of money), so maybe full moon or I don’t know). Ya, it was cheap place with breakfast, but we had regrets to choose it. Soundproof was really bad, even in bathroom we had kind of window with other bathroom, so basically you can hear what is going on in other bathroom))). In the morning we had good “welcome”, but I think the first “arrived” one made an opinion. It’s not about money, coz the price was really good, but it’s how you feel in the place. In value of the place and money- this hotel is good, but not more.

Cijena je vrlo povoljna i dobili smo odličnu uslugu za tu cijenu. Na žalost, loša je zvučna izolacija i čuju se zvukovi iz drugih soba. Srećom nije bilo puno gostiju.

Da eine Dame etwas Englisch konnte, brauchten wir kein Google. Tiefgarage für die Motorräder. - und dass es in Albanien einen so großenSt. Pauli Fans gibt, macht die Sache noch sympatischer. Beim nächsten mal wieder hier.

Nous avons même pu manger sur place malgré l'heure tardive,les trois femmes présentes étaient très sympathiques et très disponibles,nous les en remercions beaucoup. Petit déjeuner correct,je m'excuse encore de n'avoir pas mangé le fromage. Nous avons passé un agréable moment ici et la jeune femme du staff était très sympathique. Merci encore Rien

• marijke (6/5): Een tegenvaller. - Poging om een designvol hotel te zijn. Vriendelijk hulp, vooral van de jonge dame. (keukenhulp-poetshulp?) 1. Ontvangen door de "wel heel vriendelijke poetsvrouw" die helaas geen Engels sprak, goed van inborst was maar het was een totale miscommunicatie. Onduidelijkheid of je al dan niet met de kaart kon betalen. We hadden onvoldoende cashgeld op dat moment, waardoor ze eerst voorstelden onze identiteitskaart als waarborg wilden inhouden totdat we geld hadden afgehaald. (???). Er stond nochtans een terminal om met de kaart te betalen. :(. Tip : wees duidelijk. 2. Veel te harde en dikke kussens. 3. Asbakken op de slaapkamer (??????) op ieder nachtkastje. 4. Gordijnen aan de venster, die veel te klein waren voor het gehele raam, en een rommelige indruk maakten. 5. Er stond een bed in de eetzaal - weliswaar achter plastiek schuttingen - maar goed zichtbaar - een afknapper. 6. Bij het ontbijt kregen we in eerste instantie één flesje water als drank voor ons twee. Voor de koffie hebben we zelf moeten vragen. Ik snap niet hoe ze aan zo'n goede ranking komen. We deden een rondreis door Albanië, en waren over het algemeen zeer tevreden van de hotels. Dit hotel viel ons het meeste tegen. Mits wat aanpassingen is er wel potentieel.

• Gabi (10/5): - Lage war sehr gut, konnten zu Fuß ins Zentrum laufen. Die beiden Damen waren äußert nett. Die Zimmer und überhaupt das ganze Hotel sehr ansprechend und sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Können rein gar nix beanstanden.

• Lars (9/5): Hübsches Hotel am Rande der Stadt - Ich hatte die Unterkunft etwas abseits vom Zentrum gebucht, um mich mit dem Auto nicht immer durch den Innenstadt-Stau drängeln zu müssen bei der Anfahrt und Erkundung der Gegend. Das hat gut funktioniert. Dafür läft man etwa 20 Minuten ins Zentrum. Das war für mich okay. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer war topsolide, das Personal sehr aufmerksam.

• ALEJANDRA (9/5): Hotel acogedor y limpio - Pequeño hotel con habitaciones amplias y limpias, el suelo brillaba y todo olía muy bien. Esther nos atendió muy bien y estuvo atenta. El desayuno estaba incluido, menos el café - capuccino que nos costó 2 euros por persona. Que el café no estuviera incluido en el precio del desayuno y nos dijeron que era 2 euros después de haberlo servido ya en la mesa. Las almohadas eran un poco altas para mí, para mí amiga estuvieron bien.
