Philip (8/5): - Overall, for the price and the included breakfast (which was the same every day - sausage, bacon, eggs, beans, cereals, milk, potato cakes), and location, it was a pretty good deal. The location is a bit far from the nearest train station, so you need to walk at least 20 minutes. And decent food restaurants are about 10 walk minutes away (I ate at a couple of places along Vicarage Lane) as were a few smaller supermarkets (I ended up going to Morrisons walking back to the hotel from Stratford station - it was also the shortest route). The room was spacious, the noise from the street didn't bother me and there was daily cleaning. The AC/fan unit worked well, as did the TV. So other than the distance from nearest transit stations or eating places, this was a good place to stay in London.
Jacqueline (8/5): - The room was small and at the front of the property which meant there was a lot of traffic noise. Quiet regarding other guests and someone available all the time in reception. Breakfast was passable. The area around the outside of the shower could have been cleaner.

Easy access by car from the motorway and ideally placed for 02, Stratford etc so great base for exploring London. Staff really helpful, great breakfast and nearby shops. Room really clean. Cheap on site secure parking. Will stay again.

The room, though basic is no less than anything at an Ibis or similar. Really comfortable bed, thoroughly clean. Didn’t stay for breakfast, but I wish I had. Smelt great

The staff were friendly and kindly kept.my luggage the following day. I didn't have the breakfast the following day at 7am-9am is pretty limited and early on a Sunday! The complimentary beverages in the reception is a really nice touch though! Thank you Hotel DC, I will visit again!

Sally (10/5): Lovely little hotel. - Purfect hotel for our London trip. Easy to find,parking available at the hotel, chargeable but very reasonable. Breakfast was very satisfactory. I brought my own soya milk with me for breakfast. would definitely recommend this hotel only 4 stars for cleanliness, as a drain smell in the bathroom, the floor was clean, but feel it could do with a steam clean, looked like it had a build up of cleaning product. But thats a tiny observation on my part. Bed lovely and clean and comfortable. Thank you for such a lovely greating when we arrived to the self service breakfast.
Verified traveler (8/5): Great little place - Stayed here for a show at the Copper Box Arena, location was perfect and the price was by far the best. Service was great, staff very friendly and polite, also parking available which is a massive plus! Only downside I would say is that it's quite noisy(we were -1 floor) as in you can hear everyone walking around and doors closing, I would suggest carpeting the stairs rather than wood! Other than the noise level it was absolutely bang on, would recommend and stay again!

Kevan (8/5): - This property looks very appealing and the rooms are OK. The staff at the front desk are friendly and accommodating. There is a bus stop, which makes it convenient to go to the mall and access food. Restaurants and bars are walking distance. My main area of concern is that the rooms are not being cleaned properly. The cleaners need to pay more attention to get rid of all the dust under the bed night station. The cleaning company needs to be changed. The AC units in the room can be a bit noisy.

Kim Beng (8/5): Slightly out of the way, but worth it - It seems like this building was purpose-built as a hotel, and it's so much more convenient than many other guest houses in London that have been adapted and converted from old houses. My room for a single person had a nice and practical layout, with space enough to move easily even when I leave my suitcase open. The bed was really comfortable, but I wish there were two pillows instead of the one. Breakfast was also pretty decent, with eggs, bacon and sausages, toast, jam and butter, as well as cereals. There was also a coffee machine. The hotel is a bit of a walk (10-15mins) from the Forest Gate station on the Elizabeth Line, and it's not in central London, where most of the tourist attractions are, but I think DC is of great value for this slight inconvenience.

Overall, the hotel was clean and had enough room for our family of 4. They have free drink options available all day as well, which is a really nice perk.
Barry (6/5): - Having stayed at most hotels in and around Stratford this hotel rates amongst the lower end. Rooms were clean and functional. However the breakfast was very basic and not very expansive. There was no welcome to the dining room or explanation of the layout it really was a free for all. It would definitely need to make improvements in this area. Having been a manager in hotels for many years I feel qualified to pass these comments
Daniel (8/5): Clean and comfy - The room was clean with a modern bathroom. Room was a little smaller than expected but it was comfy and the air conditioning was great. The staff were friendly on arrival offering us drinks straight away and offering to help with our bags. The breakfast was nice and there was plenty of it. The location is great as it was about 15minutes to walk to Stratford station and then beyond this you have the Olympic park and the Westfield centre.

Camila (10/5): Recommend staying here - Hotel is close to a bus stop and buses take you to Stratford underground station and shopping mall. Hotel room was compact but had everything I needed as a solo traveller. Coffee and tea were available the whole day in the reception area. The breakfast was simple with all the basics like fried eggs, hash brown, sausages, bacon, beans, and cereal. It was enjoyable. The hotel staff was super friendly and I would definetly go back.

Steve (8/5): Would recommend! - Lovely hotel. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is ideal, only about a 10/15 min walk into the centre where the buses and trains are frequent. Rooms are spotless and only downside was the position of the bed. One side was against a wall which made it a little awkward.

Allyson (8/5): Good price for a safe, clean and basic short visit - A reasonably-priced room in a pleasant building. Basic but clean and comfortable. Wasn’t sure that the windows were one-way glass or not so had to keep blinds down for privacy (my room was ground-floor, front). Decent breakfast in neat lobby area. Strange experience with cold tap running hot in the bathroom but reported this as I left.
Robert (8/5): Good place to stay in London - The single room I stayed in to my surprise had a queen size bed and not a single bed which was very comfortable. The flat screen tv was also a good size. The bathroom was very spacious with a walk in shower. Although there was only tea and coffee in the room you were welcome at anytime to use a drinks machine in reception free of charge if you wanted a Baristta type drink. Breakfast was included in cost of room which was buffet style eat as much you like.The room also had air conditioning which you could operate by remote. Very useful for the time I stayed. Length of stay one night. Overall very good

Jayne (2/5): - I did not get any sleep in this property as our room was under the dining room. Guests came in throughout the night up to 2.30am and walked back and firth over the dining room for a free drink. Then at 5am the staff prepared the room for 7.30am breakfast. Luckily my daughter slept because she had an ear infection and was on antibiotics, her friend did not have her hearing aids in. I brought the noise level to the attention of the staff at 12.30am and he said it was because we were over the dining room. I informed the staff member at 6am that I had not got any sleep and he said he would inform the manager. No compensation was over, just we will have to do better next time. Thats not good enough,you book an hotel room to get a goid ights sleep- period!!! I will be pytting a dormal complaint in now.

Tammy (6/5): - Staff were really lovely, close to the London stadium walking approx 20 mins, area is pretty run down which isn’t the hotels fault. Lovely decor in the reception. Room was smaller than I thought but ok for the night, bathroom really nicely done, room itself, paint peeling from the wall and soundproofing was awful, could hear next door putting a plug in the socket, talking, coughing, above walking across the room, all normal but affected our sleep. Breakfast was nice, be lovely if they had some fruit and more pastries as options.
Ian (10/5): - The hotel itself was really clean and looked amazing. The included breakfast including bacon, sausage and egg was fantastic, together with the coffee and squash that was free and available 24/7. Location was great - 5 mins to Stratford International on the bus (which runs every 2/3 mins) or a 15 min walk. Reception staff were very helpful and really pleasant to deal with. The room was quiet and for the price I paid £80 per room, it was an absolute bargain given it's cleanliness, decor and proximity to the tube and bus. the only major thing that was an issue was that the bed was very firm to a point where I couldn't really sleep, until I tried the other side of the bed which hadn't been slept on as much (it was against the wall) and that was a bit softer and so I managed a few more hours of sleep. The other thing is that there is a green light in the ceiling which was really bright, so I'd recommend some duck tape to cover it ! I eventually got creative with a coat hanger propped against the electric box and a sock to cover it !!
Sarah (6/5): - Great convenient parking on the front of the property for an additional £15. You will need to phone to book this in advance though. Very Basic. I felt it was lacking in a few minor things and needed a womens touch to add those few things to make it a more comfortable stay. Unfortunately I had a herd of elephants in the room above me but other than this was a convenient stay for 1 night.

Mrs R (10/5): Clean and safe, would recommend. - A clean and safe hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, room was clean and looked recently decorated. Breakfast is included in your stay and is a mix of English and Continental options, and the drinks machine is also available outside of these times so you can make yourself a drink while at the hotel. Breakfast items were replenished promptly as they were being used. Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 9.30am. The whole hotel looked recently renovated and there is CCTV coverage inside and outside. In terms of accessibility from what I could see there is a ramp leading up to the hotel entrance and a lift. There is some car parking available however because it is so limited you are advised to book this in advance if you need to use this. In your room there's a kettle with two mugs and some tea and coffee choices. There are several options to buy food or have food in or as a takeaway down the road near the Forest Gate tube stop, which takes you into London on the Elizabeth Line, a 5-7 minute walk. I felt safe staying there as a single female and would come again, 10/10. You might find the room a bit small if you are more than one person sharing but it was just fine for me overnight. Suggestions for future improvements: Install a peephole in each door and a chain for the doors for additional security. There are two dispensers in the shower but as they were not labelled, I was unsure what they were (shower gel or shampoo perhaps?), I therefore did not use them ><
Maaike (6/5): - Proper hotel for London standards. Had a small room in the basement which was relatively clean (found a few cobwebs on the ceiling and the corners of the shower showed some damages. It was clean besides that). Unfortunately, the stairs were wood and the rooms not very noise-free, so I’d wake up quite a few times during the night. Breakfast was fine, with eggs, beans, hashbrowns, cereal and slides of bread available. There are bus stops just outside the property with regular bus services to Stratford, from which there are a lot of different connections into Central London. Very friendly and accommodating staff. All in all, a good place to stay for London standards.

Subitha (8/5): Very Clean nice ensuite - Overall it’s an adequate space for a couple (similar to the size of a motel room/ensuite) the ensuite finishes looked new. Very clean surface. The room doesn’t have mini fridge, cupboard, microwave or security safe. However you can ask the staff for any services.

Pedro (6/5): - Clean and tidy room and property in general, some mould in the lower part of the shower but the rest was good... The room was in the Ground floor and quite small, not well insolated to noise as can hear every step of people on the stairs and worse the room upstairs having a "good time" but for a one night I do recommend... Excessive CCTV cameras in all corners inside and outside but I guess that is good for safety just a bit too much in my opinion.

Ian (8/5): - The Hotel DC has been recently refurbished, so is definitely a cut above many of the other budget offerings in East London. It's somewhat inconveniently placed for public transport being 12-15 minutes walk from either of two Elizabeth Line stations (Maryland and Forest Gate), and the area feels a little edgy at night; you might need to get a taxi if you had more than a backpack for luggage. My room, in the basement, was fine, the shower worked well, and no issues with Wifi or TV. The green light on the emergency backup light (I think) was surprisingly bright and the card control for power flashed blue all night - neither stopped me getting to sleep, but both were a little annoying, and the extract fan from the bathroom was quite noisy. There's a kettle in the room, and rather better coffee 24/7 available in reception, but no decaf available. Breakfast was simple, with fried eggs, baked beans, hash browns, bacon and pork sausage available, plus a choice of cereals, and dilute fruit squash rather than juice - no yoghurts or pastries. All in all, for the location - a 20 minute bus ride from the ExCel Centre, it offered good value and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again for a couple of nights.

Stephen (10/5): Good stay - Clean, tidy and practical accommodation with a few parking spaces (you pay extra for these and ideally book in advance). The staff are very welcoming and a reasonable breakfast is available.
Andrew (6/5): Ok for the price with a couple of added extras. - Comfortable little room. Fairly quiet. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Good cooked breakfast. Not the cleanest room I’ve stayed in. Took it upon myself to wipe off two large bogeys from the wall. The shower head desperately needed replacing.
A (8/5): - Stayed a few times now, good clean rooms but basic. Good value for money
Femi (10/5): Super clean, Ac works and staff are cool. - The room and bathroom was super clean… the air conditioning was actually working - been to some London hotels to be surprised the ACs don’t work, so it was a pleasant surprise. Hotel looks new and most say it’s the best when on a budget. Did I mention room comes with breakfast..? Not too much of a variety but quite decent and worth the price. I’ll definitely be coming back.
DEBBIE (10/5): Visiting 02 stayed at DC. Perfect - Was very pleasantly surprised on the standard of accommodation for the bargain price. On arrival was greeted with lovely guys behind the reception who upgraded our room to two double beds. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable all we needed for the two nights that we stayed. Breakfast free and very satisfactory coffee machine available all day. Will definitely stay again when visiting London

Ben (10/5): - Incredible value for money, but separately from price the cleanliness, service and general facilities were all absolutely excellent for a no-frills hotel. Highly recommended.
