Guest Reviews
- keelei (5/5): Cheap budget friendly. Don't expect the Ritz, ideal if you need to get your head down for the night -
- Jake (8/5): Would recommend for a cheap one night stay - Ideal for the night’s stay. Great location for 02 academy brixton events
- Heather (7/5): - Great location for Brixton Academy. Clean, comfortable and secure.
- Thibaut (1/5): - Poor hygiene
- Jacob (1/5): Shocking. Squatter living in our place and awful smell. Unclean. - Place to get my head down There was a squatter living in the kitchen. The place reeked of body odour, and in a really unsafe area. Curtain rail fell in the night and nearly took me out, and the squatter was extremely rude!!
- Kirsten (7/5): Decent, affordable place to stay, though couple cabeats - Highly communicative, brilliant location, comfy beds Dusty, the shared toilet door did not have a lock on it
- Rob+Donna (1/5): Trying to say we didn't leave keys ???? - No hot water for a shower
No toilet seat
Nightmare sorting keys for the correct room we booked
- Joke (4/5): - Ligging Comfort, verwarming niet regelbaar, deurklinken kapot, kapotte bureau, niets om iets op te leggen bvb een stoel of kast of schap

- Rory (8/5): Very thankful to find this accommodation for this sort of price. Facilities where clean and the room - Location of rest was a 15 minute walk from the Brixton underground, Ease of access to Brixton o2 academy. Contact mobile was helpful for gaining access to the property, facilities were clean and for the price it was very convenient. The emails used for the confirmation; to find the location (as clicking on one of the emails "get directions" prompt didnt give a direct location to find the property) that was resolved through calling the number supplied by Newbury3/booking.com for them to send a video via WhatsApp to show the block/apartment. I suppose if you don't use WhatsApp (to gain access to the video) it could be a bit difficult to find the area using the image attached to a email.
Also what sort of rules there are in this accommodation as "I" didnt known the dynamics of the property (being if there where other attendees/residence during that time. No to chain up the main door / cause problematic issues.

- Lisa (5/5): good value i guess but there's def an issue with the keys and the door to no. 19 needs fixing. - collecting the keys initialy from the lock box was fine - walking up to the flat the lights didn't work and when i got up to the flat the front door was wide open. There was a nasty smell in the flat but in our room it was ok, basic but fine and beds and towels were clean etc. when we arrived from our evening out our keys did not work, had to call a few times for assistance and somehow the lock was released. once up at the flat , someone had put the chain on the door so that was also a pain to get in .
- Anthony (4/5): -
- Cameron (1/5): - Location good for Brixton Academy There was no hot water at all, the lights on the toilet didn't work, the lock also didn't work
- Alex (10/5): Great location, Great price! - The location is very good if you are going to the Brixton academy as it's only a 10 minute walk away and about 15 from the tube station. The room itself was clean and tidy. Communications from the owner were well done and made finding the place easy.
- Phillip (7/5): - The room was cheap. It was well located for the tube and for Electric Brixton. There was a fan in the room which was handy and most importantly it was very quiet. The keys were very low down which wasn’t good for people with back and knee problems.
None of the rooms had numbers or any kind of labelling. Meaning I just had to try my key in doors until one opened. I was booked into room 3 but my key said room 1. Communication needs to be better
- Alexandre (8/5): Boa relação custo e benefício em excelente localização - A localização é excelente, pertinho do metro Brixton, há um mercadinho perto para compras também. As camas eram confortáveis e o banheiro limpo. Me hospedei uma noite só. Se você procura uma hospedagem simples com bom preço e central recomendo fortemente.

- Paul (5/5): Cheap accommodation close to Brixton Academy. - Great location for Brixton Academy. Was in walking distance. Good local amenities.
Cheap price.
Grateful for fan in room, was a hot night.
Served its purpose. Was a little difficult to find. Got a taxi from coach station and taxi driver struggled to find it. Had to ask a local resident to point it out to us.
Room was very basic. But was cheap, so that was to be expected.
Lots of stairs to climb to access room.
Shared toilet and bathroom.
- Asier (1/5): - Not safe location. 0,8 miles from underground, with nearly no lights.
- Seth (6/5): - Simple The bedrooms
- Tsz chun (10/5): -
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Mhwilliams947 (7/5): Good - Cheap an cheerful everything u need All the stairs
- Ljkelman (1/5): Poor Quality - A fan in the room. The house is badly in need of decoration.
The rooms aren't numbered meaning we tried different doors till we found our room.
The lock on the shared toilet was broken and the door couldn't be locked.
The bathroom heating was stuck on full blast.
There is no clothes storage in the room we were in.
The only furniture is a broken desk.
There is a coffee caddy on the desk with coffee that's been in there years and is all damp.
There was one pillow on each bed and they were paper thin.
There is a kettle in the room but no cups/spoons.
- Paul (10/5): I like the quietness of the property and the everything else, it was good I would like to stay there - I like the quietness of the property and the everything else, it was good I would like to stay there again i am quite please with the management and how they get things done, very clean and Polite happy experience. I would recommend the service to anyone who would like a quite night.thanks again. The property and how it kept and managed
- Paul (8/5): My stay was nice and straightforward I will be staying there again - Straight forward Easiness
- John (7/5): Good -
- Joshua (7/5): You get what you pay for. - Close location to the o2 Brixton (all we needed)
Reasonable price for what you’re getting, nothing extravagant but it did the job. Decent beds, pillows are not great. Was very difficult to find, lack of directions. The bathroom was filthy, toilet seat was covered in some kind of brown dust that was hard to wipe off when we got there.
- Irene (5/5): Good enough - Location is great if you're planning to spend time in Brixton. On a back road, so it was quiet, but 10 mins walk from the bustling centre of brixton I asked for a double room but it was actually a twin. Cleanliness of the shared facilities could be better. Also, toilet door didn't lock, so not great if you're travelling solo
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Abdirahman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Day (5/5): okay for quick stay in Brixton - location and price was excellent. Great communication with host when we couldn't find the place. It's on fiveways street not overton so finding it was a little tricky. keys were faffy. lock on toilet door didn't work. Matteress were uncomfortable and only one pillow.
- James (1/5): It didn’t happen. - I don’t know if it exists I couldn’t find the property. I spent 30 minutes trying to find it but the address and postcode didn’t match up.
- Hamid (4/5): Disappointing -
- Amelia (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): Quiet easy stay over - Quiet, clean thanks If you could fit the security key safe higher up on the wall with a light that would really help tx
- Jacob (6/5): You get what you pay for, this is as cheap as it gets in London. Bed was comfy enough and facilities were clean. - Good location, decent mattress, quiet. We were given the wrong room, I booked a 2 bed room and we got a double. The host brought us a blow up mattress which was an okay resolution but not the best. Can’t complain that much for the price I guess
- Daniel (7/5): Quiet location and close to main roads to the city center - This private room is conveniently located near a main road (Brixton Road) that easily connects to the city center (e.g. bus lines 159 or 59), and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Getting there was the hardest part. The address given is misleading and confusing as the ad shows different addresses. Although once we found the right building, picking up the keys was easy, finding the exact location was complicated (even more so if you're checking in at night). The person who runs the place sent us the password in a timely manner via the Booking app, but also sent us a video of the place from an instant messaging app with no information about who sent it. Overall, the pictures are accurate and the place is quiet, making it a good stay for couples or friends. The only negative side is the misleading address. I'd recommend a clear and unambiguous address location.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb - Location to the venue I was visiting was perfect No milk or coffee, only teabags
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- David (5/5): Passable - Room itself was OK for the money No tv remote
No working kettle
Shared bathroom
Shared kitchen was dirty
Only 1 key between us
Messaged Manager about remote and kettle and the rely was OK however nothing was done about it !!!
- Rob (10/5): Great property for south London, super reasonably priced and comfy beds. - Clean, comfy beds, great price/location combo Curtain didn’t cover whole window, minor gripe though.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Valentin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joe (3/5): Unclean and poor facilities - Fan in room Flat was dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned properly after previous residents. Same with bathrooms
