Guest Reviews
- Tihomir (9/5): Good value for money - Very polite, proactive and responsive owner and stuff. Excellent location. Authentic accommodation. Fair price. Weak or no internet/wi-fi connection (the owner did his best to resolve the issue but we experienced challenges whenever tried to connect).
- DiegoYNazarena (10/5): - Excelente todo, la amabilidad, la limpieza, las vistas 10/10
- Petr (10/5): - Best view of pyramids and sphinx in Giza. Nothing
- Ivana (10/5): - It is not just a place to stay..its a feeling you slip into a different time and rhythm...and you dont want to leave. Yes it is truly so fantastic!
The room itself is authentic, earthy and full of soul...and YES you have the view on to the pyramids and sphinx!! And the bed was super comfy for me!
The terrace with the beduin tent was pure magic, it becames your senctuary with the fantastic view of the pyramids right infront of you...first raw!! It was perfect for enjoying meals and relaxing with a cup of tea. In this place I could summerse myself in the real experience...it was like being in a movie! The people who runs it are so kind! Adel brings whole experience to life, his stories about life, knowledge of healing oils and herbs and his authentic cooking added something unique to the whole experience. Saad was also very kind and welcoming. They will help you with anything, so no worries if you dont know how to arrange sth...or if you want to have a day off and just relaxing, this is the place, you are in the tent with the best view!
Be sure you will enjoy this stay and pyramids in all their glory!
Thank you Adel and Saad, keep the magic alive!!
- Ioanna (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay. The beds are comfortable and the host Saad and Adel are amazing. The entrance is right in front of the ticket office of the pyramids and the view is outstanding!
- Jakub (10/5): As close to the Sphinx as it gets - Very accommodating host, also a great chef. The rooftop closer to the Sphinx and the Pyramids than from the onsite cafe within the Giza complex. I don't think there are any closer rooftops. Flexible check in and check out, the whole experience was personalised for our needs, we chose to order some excellent meals and some traditional quality scents. 10/10 wish to come back.
- José Vicente (10/5): -
- Dita (10/5): Excellent stay near the pyramids with the best host - We had an awesome time here. It fits the description, there is beautiful pyramids and sphinx view from the roof and the private tent. You can also see a pyramid from the room window.
The free breakfast was a great start of the day. You can also get delicious authentic egyptian dinner for a fair price.
The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was also quiet and peaceful which was very relaxing. You can barely hear the cars here which is rare for the Cairo/Giza area.
The best about this accomodation is the host, Adel. We felt really welcomed and he was always willing to help us plan our trips. We are used to plan our travels by ourselves but in Egypt it is a bit more complicated and we would not have been able to do our trips as we wanted without his help. We highly recommend this place!
A bientôt, inchallah.
- Cindy (10/5): I enjoyed my 3 nights staying there, and spent a full day in the Pyramids of Giza (2 minutes walking), a full day at the - Location is the best in Giza, just two minutes from the T pyramids entrance in a safe and quite corner. Adel provided the best hospitality like a golden key concierge would do to their guests. The room has a window, a private tent area for breakfast and an exclusive rooftop patio just for me all overlooking the Great pyramids and Sphinx. The door entering the bathroom. Maybe it should be replaced by a clean curtain.
- Cindy (10/5): -
- hossam (10/5): -
- 輝景 (10/5): - 地點非常好,就在售票處旁,晚上安靜,窗外就能直接看到金字塔,金字塔第一排美景,早餐豐富,老闆非常熱情,當天還讓我們寄放行李,推薦來這裡住宿 無
- James (10/5): Best place in Cairo - The staff are extremely friendly, Adel made my experience of cairo really good. Would definitely stay here again. And great value
- Luke (10/5): Book it whilst you have the chance!! - Unparalleled, jaw dropping view of the Giza Plateau. Intimate and just for you use of a gorgeous Bedouin tent with staggering views and your own terrace above it, which has an even more elevated view of the Sphinx and Pyramids. Experience the sounds and smells, the changes in the evening as the sunlight draws in to glorious rosy purple sunset.
Aside from all that, you will meet and get to love Adel who will look after you and make you feel very safe and secure, get you anything you need and prepare you wonderful breakfasts and evening meals, if you choose to eat there, which I did, whilst watching the sun go down.
You might also catch the famous sound and light show, for which there is no need to buy a ticket as you have a better seat than anyone. This place is further into the Giza plateau than the Sphinx Gate Entrance and ticket office. There's literally no other buildings in front of you.
The room itself is also in a Bedouin tent style with 3 beds. I found it very comfy. It's not high standard bathroom wise, but it has all the facilities you need and, if you're like me, the reason you are there is for the the ancient history on your door step, it is more than adequate. The views alone make this place unmissable, as does Adel's kind, generous hospitality. A lovely man.
I will be returning, hopefully, with my two sons. X Nothing. Only thing I would add is a bedside table lamp or two.
There's no TV, but who watches TV anyway? Especially, when the wonder of the world is right there in front of you.
Oh, also, the bedroom window looks out onto the same view also!
- Kbb (10/5): Amazing Service - Kemet Pyramid Rooms offers exceptional customer service. Adell ensures guests feel welcome and valued during their stay. Adell is attentive, addressing inquiries and needs promptly, whilst maintaining a friendly demeanor. His commitment to providing a memorable experience is evident in the personalized care given to each guest. We will recommend this place to friends and family who wish to visit Egypt. The internet was not that good.
- Sarina (10/5): Exceptional - Adel is probably the best host we ever had in a hostel.
He'll take care of everything you need and will make sure you are enjoying your stay !
The hostel has a privileged view from the Piramids and is an oasis in the middle of the busy and loud Giza.
Plus, we loved the food ! Some of the best food we ever had on our trips so far 😋
You'll enjoy your stay here for sure !
Thanks for everything!
- Lilli (9/5): Superb -
- Xarrie23 (10/5): An amazing place to stay with superb hospitality. - Wow! This little gem was an amazing find. You literally couldn't stay any closer to the Sphinx and pyramids and the room is well away from the area where the majority of horses and camels are stabled overnight. Saad has decorated the room in traditional Bedouin style and you also have exclusive use of a Bedouin style tent as well as a private rooftop balcony area. There are 3 other hotels sharing the building but the Kemet facilities remain private thanks to the wonderfully polite Adel, who informs guests that the areas are 'private' and 'only for Kemet room'. Adel doubles as chef, preparing a very filling breakfast every morning as well as dinner on request. Eating breakfast overlooking the pyramids is an experience that I will long treasure. The hospitality that we received made us feel truly welcomed. Adel and his younger son were always on hand to help with anything we needed and Adel even drove us (free of charge) to a local mobile phone shop to help me buy a local sim card. He'll also help organise trips for you if you want but if you want to organise your own trips, that'll be fine too. There are 4 flights of stairs so not suitable for less mobile and heavy suitcases could be difficult. We travelled with rucksacks and managed fine. If you need extra toilet rolls or clean towels just ask. We totally loved our stay and very much hope to return. We could feel the springs in the mattress and think maybe a mattress topper would sort this out. An extra sheet between the blanket would be good and maybe larger towels or an additional hand towel.
- Katherine (10/5): Unbelievable view and great hospitality! - Adel, the manager, was absolutely amazing, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. He even gave us a lift to the market and ATM in his own car twice, brought gifts for my children, and sorted out everything we needed for a great stay. The view is amazing, the Pyramids are right in front of you from your private roof terrace. Shower was always hot, room was clean and quiet and we loved the Bedouin decor. I felt very safe and welcome as a woman travelling with my two young children. The mattress on one of the beds isn't great - you can feel all the springs, but the other two beds are fine.
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cinzia (8/5): Very good -
- Zytkaw (10/5): Great place, amazing owner - my stay was amazingly nice. the owner is a very kind and helpful person. I felt very welcome.
Also from before my arrival, great communication on WhatsApp.
The view is great, right next to the Sphinx, first line of buildings in front of pyramids.
The food was also very delicious (I am vegetarian), with a great view.
I recommend this place to everyone, to have a nice, relaxed atmosphere in Giza. -
- Thomas (10/5): Amazing view/breakfast & attentive service - Great location, incredible view of the pyramids. Shared terrace with a couple other hotels, but a private tent just for Kemet room guests. Great breakfast included. They made a great Bedouin dinner for $15 which is expensive, but the quality and love in the meal was amazing. And with that view! Air conditioning worked perfectly, and one of the beds has a view of the pyramids from the bed itself! Best way to wake up. Not much to see other than the pyramids and the area is not great for walking, not a safe place with lots of people hassling you to buy things.
- Jacob (9/5): Superb - Amazing location and great people managing the property!
- Das (10/5): Amazing stay with the best view to Pyramids. The host Saad is the rockstar. - The host Saad was the best in my life and became a very close friend to me as well. He and his family went above and beyond to make my experience a unique and better one. The room looks too Egyptian and the direct view from the terrace and room to Pyramids made the happiest man ever. I would strongly recommend everyone to please book this property, Saad will do his best to make your trip a memorable one. Also great breakfast. Lots of love my friend from India Nothing to complain about. Perfect stay. A decent value for money accommodation.
- Miso (10/5): Perfect 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 - I want to stay here forever 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘
First of all, I can use⭐️ the personal tent!!! ⭐️ Nobody will ne interrupt you. There is a fan in the tent! And I can see the pyramids and eat a lot of foods there.
Second, the room is very big and clean. Inside is decorated Egyptian style. In the window, you can also see pyramids. The hot water was perfect. It was the most hottest water in my life. And there is a powerful ac so I could take a rest 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Third, the staff is very kind and help me a lot. He checked my message very quickly, always ask a lot of things that how’s going on. The manager has sweat heart and really want to give you a help! Very unique and kind person 🥰🥰🥰😻😻😻😻 Perfect
- Mariuxi (10/5): Unbeatable Amazing view - The view and the amazing hospitality the hosts (father and son) offers beside the room. The place is located just behind the Giza pyramids, you can enjoy in your private tent in the rooftop the view as much you want while you enjoy the amazing breakfast cooked by The host. We went in summer and the heat was amazingly high but they had a strong aircon makingc the room as they call “Alaska”. They support us after our luggage got missed to find new clothes in local shops, they arrange for us a tour guide in private car (totally recommended). You need to understand the great reviews are for their charm hospitality more than the place, because the place offer the normal conditions you need in Egypt! Aircon, toilet and comfortable beds. You cannot avoid be surrounded by dust, but the hospitality of the son and father make this place enjoyable. All was superb
- Hui-han (10/5): Truly exceptional view with outstanding hospitality and exquisite cuisine - We stayed at this fantastic accommodation and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the host, Saad, who was incredibly responsive (replied to the messages via WhatsApp in a second) and extremely friendly. He went out of his way to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, making us feel welcome and well taken care of.
One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Chef Adel is a truly talented chef, and every meal was a delight. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It was a treat to enjoy such high-quality cuisine without having to leave the comfort of the accommodation.
The view from the accommodation is simply breathtaking. Each evening, we were able to watch the sunset with the pyramids and sphinx in the background—a truly magical and unforgettable sight. It was the perfect way to end each day, adding an extra layer of beauty to our stay.
Overall, our stay exceeded all expectations. The combination of Saad's exceptional hospitality and Chef Adel's culinary skills made for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Nothing at all
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional - This place is amazing - so close to pyramids. Idea with private tent is really great and breakfast with pyramids in the front of Yours eyes. place is great but the real tresure there are people. Hospitality, optimistic attitiude is this thing that make this place so amazing.
- Rebekka (9/5): Superb - Everything was wonderful, we had the best time. Saad is the best host!
- S (9/5): Recommend! Amazing view and lovely staff. - Warm and welcoming staff - the owner Saad is available to answer questions via WhatsApp and reply extremely fast. The chef Adel learned that we prefer Egyptian breakfast, instead of standard pastries. He tailored the breakfast to our needs for the next 2 days. We also had delicious supper prepared by Adel for 1 of the nights. All of our meals are served in our private colourful tent/ booth overlooking the pyramids!
Clean, spacious room
Provided portable heater for the cold March evening.
View of the Sphinx and the pyramids from 1 of the 2 windows in our rooms.
The hotel is located on a quiet side street right by the Sphinx entrance (less than 5 min walk). Due to the room's amazing location (top floor of a building, where breakfast is served for 1-2 other hotels), we can hear people chatting right outside at the breakfast balcony till 1 a
m for 1 of the nights. You can also hear breakfast being served at 7am if people choose to sit close to the pyramids. However, Cairo is known to be a sleepless city. So we kind of expected it.
Overall, I recommend this lovely bed and breakfast to anyone who wishes to stay in Giza. You will receive a warm welcome, a magical view of the pyramids, use of a private tent/booth on the breakfast balcony, and Adel's lovely food.
- Andrea (10/5): Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to come back! - I loved absolutely loved everything about my stay here! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I felt so welcome-I was honestly sad to leave! The view of the pyramids were amazing! and it was really special to be able to see them first thing in the morning and last thing at night! The breakfast which was included was plentiful and delicious. The water in the shower was lovely and always hot, the beds in the triple room were comfortable and I always had a good nights sleep.
I also loved the fact I had my own large gazebo to use on the large balcony-which I enjoyed breakfast in the mornings from, and watched the light show at the sphinx and pyramids in the evenings!
The location was great too with lots of shops around and easy to get to the city by Uber.
Saad was very attentive and nothing was to much for him to do, I felt like family! He even treated me to his mum's homemade baklava, which I am obsessed with! I will come back to have more! lol
Adil who made my breakfast every morning was really nice too! He took nice pictures of me on the balcony with the pyramids, and he also helped me when I had trouble at the sphinx entrance for the pyramids, he went above and beyond escort me which I really appreciate.
lol I will definitely, definitely be back to stay one day soon! Do not hesitate to stay here, it was amazing :D
Thank you so much for everything Saad! X
- Mint (10/5): Fantastic Scenery - Kemet room is a rare find. Location is incredible, you basically have the front row seat to be greeted by Khufu, Kaffre and Menkaure Pyramid everyday, and yes the sphinx too. And is only 2 minutes walk to the Giza ticket counter. The room is basic but well decorated with Bedouin carpets and textile. And Kemet room have a private tent right outside the room. Very well decorated too. The breakfast is served with some Egyptian pastry and coffee. For the price you pay it is an unbeatable value. Worth mentioning Saad is a truthful, passionate and a welcoming host
- Adam (10/5): Incredible views, Incredible host! - The room is located beside the rooftop patio with your own private tent, right beside the pyramids and Sphinx. I dont think you can get any closer or have a more perfect view! Saad is a great host, and made us feel like family at home. He was always looking out for us, making sure we had everything we needed, and and that our time in Egypt was as great as possible. They provided dinner for us as extra, and it was an incredible meal looking out over the pyramids. We enjoyed every part of our stay. It's not a fancy suite in post hotel, but we didn't expect that.
- Aaron (10/5): - - Kemet Pyramids Room view offers the best view of the Pyramids in the whole Cairo. They are the nearest building to Pyramids and to the site entrance. You can have a one lifetime breakfast with view to the Pyramids or even enjoy the Pyramid's lights show from the hotel. But wait because that is not the best part. The hotel is owned by a small local family composed by Saad, Adel, and Yahia that from the first minute they make you feel that you are at home and that you are one more member of the family. I've been and worked in many hotels and no one made me have such a great stay as Saad. He was born in this same building so he knows every secret from its neighborhood. He is always willing to help and assist. I don't want to forget the excelent attention from Adel. If you are visiting Cairo, this is definately the place you should stay. Everything was outstanding.
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - This place is run by a local family whose members are extremely attentive and caring. The communication with them is immediate and excellent. The place has a terrace providing first class views on and maximum proximity to the Pyramids. You get breakfast every day and you can also request dinner. The view and proximity deserve an absolute 10, however the room is very basic with a small shower whose use is rather uncomfortable. The water is dropping so there is always water on the floor, the toilet is dirty and old, the shower curtain is also dirty and old, the tap is too big for the sink, so the water runs to the floor rather than to the sink. These are nuances that you can live with in Egypt, but, honestly, I wouldn't recommend this room for more than 1-2 nights for travelers with Western standards. Besides, there was a construction going on in the building, consequently, everything was full of white powder even on the terrace. The terrace has a back part that serves as a garbage storage, again, you may not want to use this part of the terrace, but it certainly adds to the overall impression and experience. My biggest issue was, however, the lack of internet despite the place being advertised as one with WiFi. This was quite deceptive and unexpected. Overall, interesting local experience for one night or maybe two until you visit the Pyramids, but would not rely on it as a background for my whole stay in Cairo.
- Chiaching (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the hotel is great. You can see all the pyramids and the Sphinx and the owner is very friendly. Very concerned about guests' feelings. The owners of the hotel, azizi, adel and the two young bosses, thank you very much, this is a great place.
The hotel is under renovation, but we don't care.
- Anna (10/5): Great hospitality, decoration, and view - The view is the best you can get without entering the pyramid site. It provides a calm atmosphere to soak in the energy without all the hustle that is below. The food by Adel was amazing and plentiful. He was such a kind soul who was a joy to talk to making it feel like home. The whole staff are readily available and so kind. They helped me set up plans and gave me local advice. They currently only have the one room so I had a lot of personal attention ☺️ They will soon have many more rooms. With the hang out tent created at the top it could be a nice place to mingle. For me, it was a great place for yoga and relaxation. I would definitely come back when I visit Giza. The room worked for me. Realize it is a basic room with AC and beautiful decoration but nothing fancy.
