Guest Reviews
- jian (10/5): - the best location to see acropolis, and the night view is just amazing.
- Maria (8/5): - Nice location. The host makes sure you get anything you might need.

- Duana (10/5): - Enjoyed balcony in evening with glass of wine looking at the Parthenon. The only thing I would change would be to be able to hang hand shower up to be able to stand beneath for good shower. Il
- Pamela (10/5): Great views of Acropolis, plenty of good restaurants nearby.walking distance to everything - Location Had an unfortunate mix up with getting information on how to access apartment . Information sent to wrong person.Resolved fortunately. I believe it was at Booking.Com end that messed up occurred.
- Katherine (10/5): -
- Heidi (8/5): - Close to acropolis Electricity went out one night
- c cTatjana v (8/5): -
- Lumake (9/5): Perfect views, clean and cosy piece of authentic Greece - The view, absolutely! Two big balconies with magnificient views.
Have a breakfast or lunch in balcony watching and enjoying Acropolis straight ahead.
Or if you prefer Filipappou hill, you can enjoy the figure of that site from another balcony.
Apartment was tiny, but spacious enough for two persons. Quiet, clean, all the utilities you need for a couple of overnights. Excellent location, safe neighbourhood. Very good communication with Daniela!
- Peter (8/5): Great location .. great view from the balcony of the acropolis. - Location and balcony Clearer instructions for key safe eg the key safe with the dog sticker on.
Elevator took a bit of getting used to.
Host communication style seems a bit harsh.
- Michelle (10/5): Great property for couple. Very close to Plaka and walking distance to most sights. Good coffee down the road. Great vie - Very good location, clean and comfortable. Great View! Nothing
- James (9/5): -
- Ivana Antonieta (7/5): Great location in the heart of Athens - Great location, beautiful view and good working air conditioning. The shower was very small. The oven/kitchen did not properly work at times.
- Nauzet (10/5): - Everything was perfect. My second time here. If you are a solo traveller is a great option in Athens. The attic needs a dark curtain for the light.
- Stacey (8/5): Great find! - Walking distance to attractions, the sightseeing bus stop (at the Acropolis Museum) and busy streets. The room wasn't too modern, but the big balcony with the incredible views made this a great spot!
- Heather (7/5): Good - First, this is a great location. In the heart of the historic center. Truly breathtaking views. Facilities are very basic, but cute and a good value at this price point. Comfortable bed. The host seemed like a very nice lady. However, we had difficulty with communication. She was readily available through the chat, but when I told her I needed the code to the lockbox she kept telling me to look for it before re-sending it. Then it disappeared from the Chat again and I didn't have it to put the keys back...
There were other problems. The key is very sensitive. It is very difficult to get the door unlocked. We struggled for 30 minutes. The stairway was extremely hot. There was literally a pool of sweat on the floor when we finished trying to get in the room. I reached out for help - just received messages to be calm and try softly. I understand sometimes locks need a little finesse but keypad entry would have helped a lot here.
Meanwhile, I selected this lodging because it had an elevator and I am traveling with my disabled daughter. She has to be very careful about being overheated and can't do a lot of stairs. So this was frustrating. Also, while there is an elevator, there are stairs to access the elevator and two more sets of stairs once you get off the elevator to access the apartment. There are also a lot of rules - rules about the AC, about not flushing toilet paper, about turning hot water on and off at the breaker box. This property offers world class views of the Acropolis on a budget. Understand that going in, and you will be satisfied.
- Federico (8/5): Very good - It’s was really nice. The code to obtain the keys was wrong, we were waiting for a couple of hours until the cleaning lady came to open the door . Besides that the place is worth it
- Chris (9/5): Great communication and directions from Daniela - Close to Parthenon, fantastic view of Parthenon from balcony Very small bathroom but was expected
- Mayank (3/5): Great Location but issues with washroom/toilet - Great location! Excellent View!
Good cafes available around.
Walkable from Acropolis, Museum, Roman Agora, Temple of Zeus and Acropoli metro #1 Washroom
1.1 No flush and was asked not to throw toilet papers in the commode/seat.
1.2 Screws were missing from the lock and tied up with a plastic string.
#2 I felt the apartment door lock was a little tricky and wasn't able to unlock it, when I called the owner she charged 15€ for the assistance on how to unlock it.
- John (2/5): Very disappointed I paid for 6 nights but left after 1 night. Landlady would not offer refund. - I had to call the landlady to open the lock box. I did like the location. However, my luggage had to be lifted up one flight of stairs to get to the elevator, then at the top floor, you had to carry your luggage up a narrow staircase to the top level. There was a large patio but no outdoor furniture except for a patio table. You would have had to drag a chair onto the patio but then where you you put the luggage? I am 73 years old and room not conducive to a relaxing environment. Maybe room is acceptable to a young person on a budget. The single room was cramped. There were 2 straight back chairs and a small table in between the chairs. This was the only place to put your luggage. That said, there was no place to sit and relax in the room.
- Mark (3/5): Good location...That's all. Dated, in need of repair, flat. - Location was very good Check in was horrendous. Had to be a Locksmith to open the room door, took 5 minutes. Patio door could not be locked/secured. Shower is 2'x2'. Had a list of instructions to follow including turning heat on and off for shower use, plugging and unplugging various components..Air conditioner, TV, etc...
Would not recommend this dwelling.
- Gurleen (8/5): Very good - The location is excellent. Nice view. Very small bathroom and noisy in the evening due to the hotel next door.
- Stacey (10/5): Great place to stay in Athens - The location was very close to everything! The view from the balcony was amazing! The apartment had everything I needed for my stay. I had a large luggage and the stair were difficult. One flight before elevator and a bendy set after elevator. The shower curtain rod kept falling down.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible location, very central and right next to the acropolis with a great view from the balcony
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Andres (9/5): Superb - The location is incredible
- Tricia (7/5): No frills stay with a nice view - The location and balcony were great. Check in was difficult. You cannot type in acropolis area flat into Google and we were initially sent the incorrect pictures. But the lady we called was nice and we were able to figure it out.
- Ronald (7/5): Acropolis view - The quieter location close to eateries and supermarket As we don't travel with phones we did not receive the change in lock box codes nor did we have clear instructions on how to unlock all the bolts and how to hold the key, pulling the door towards you slightly to unlock it and then push open. Not everybody has what's app or roaming. There are still those of us who want a holiday from technology. English instructions on the lid of the washing machine would have been helpful too.
- Gerard (6/5): Did not dissapoint on Arcopolis view. Aptmt was very basic and small - Small bathroom, shower and kitchen
- Michelle (7/5): views great ... - loved the view..from the balcony. clean comfy unit. comfy bed..location good too much rubbish left in room with no where to dispose.not to keen on toilet not being able to handle toilet paper..
towels like cardboard..
- Richard (7/5): Great location, but a bit overpriced - Great central location with a nice view of the Acropolis, but I'd still recommend to go and see it from close, way different experience. Old flat, so the flat's facilities correspond to that. You're just paying for the location and view.
- Daisy (8/5): Very good -
- Courtney (7/5): Good - Great views of the Acropolis with two outdoor balconies. Good facilities with washing machine and kitchenette. Property is in good location also. Unfortunately the check in process was poor and we were unable to get into the property with the provided details. Though this was quickly resolved with the responsive host.
- Jordan (5/5): Passable for one night stay before journey home - Good view of the acropolis Flat is quite tired, the photos make it look cleaner than it seems the bedsheets had stains and bathroom was quite cramped and dirty.
- Francesco (8/5): Very good - Priceless wiew of acroplis Very small bathroom
- Effie (3/5): Poor - Location Staff on check in were rude, abrupt and belittling
- Astrica (9/5): Superb - I loved everything. Daniela and the cleaning lady were very helpful. Thanks for the beautiful view.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (10/5): Excellent location - The location is very convenient to Acropolis, metro station and grocery stores. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Excellent bakery and ice cream shop nearby. Loved them! The views from the two terraces are amazing! The bathroom was a little bit tight in space but still adequate. The small lift is a bit of a squeeze but walking up is fine if you don't mind the four flights of steps.
- Gwen (6/5): Ideal for anyone wanting a budget break - Loved the location and felt very safe at night. Balconies both back and front were also good. Fantastic views from both. The bed dipped in the middle terribly so wasn't comfortable. Washing machine was old, unsteady and extremely noisy.
- Adela (10/5): Exceptional - I spent one night, it was nice, the location is ok, close to everything you can see.
- Johnathan (10/5): Great first stay ever in historic surburbia of famed city of Athens which is evolving and mixing old and new in city liv - Neat, clean and functional cosy flat with spectacular close views of the Parthenon on south-east corner of the Acropolis site with proximity to Acropolis & Museum ticket offices, eateries and Plaka areas plus walks to all across Athens possible if willing. Has a lift to 4th floor, and walk up one narrow flight of stairs to rooftop flat.
Daniela was great with instructions and understanding of my few questions. ( I need to learn how to open a sliding door! 😊) Efcharisto Daniela! Bed was fine except for minor issue, which will be fixed
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Walter (10/5): I’d book again! - Comfortable and beautiful views all around! All good
- Kamila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarina (10/5): We will definitely back again! It is located in a safe area and close to everything. - The location is excellent, it is close to the metro station. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The hosts are very friendly, entering the apartment is very easy. We got into the apartment earlier than expected and we are very grateful for that!
The street is full of orange trees, the apartment is clean with two huge terraces. We have no complaints.
- Umut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): I totally recommend this lovely flat, the place is top class ! - We enjoyed the lovely balcony with the lovely view of the Acropolis and also it was a great location in the city of Athens.
- Steffi (8/5): Good spot with acropolis views - Great location close to the Acropolis and also plenty of restaurants, easy to walk to all the tourist spots in the area. Room had all the facilities needed including a washing machine. Host was very good at communication and allowed us to check in early. Bed wasn't very comfortable and the shade over the balcony banged in the wind.
- Jean (10/5): OK overalll - Location is superb. The studio was very convenient. Lot of restaurants nearby, some really good. Only the last flight of stairs after the elevator was strenuous for and old man with a heavy suitcase after three weeks of traveling. I would have liked a better communication with the owner about the key. I did not receive her message at my email address and finally I found it on Booking.com after several attempts. As a result, I called the owner while I was in front of the lockbox and the conversation was not effective and a bit unpleasant. I finally found things myself. And when I started using the key to open the main door of the building, it blocked, because of a mechanical defect in the lock.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (7/5): It was a good location for us and a decent bed to rest in for the night. I wouldn’t book more than an overnight it’s ver - The view of the acropolis The dark hallway and having to lug the bags up narrow stairs
- Katerina (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional place for those who want to feel like back to 1940-1950s.
The apartment offers a small living area, a kitchenette and a bathroom. However, this is not a problem because two huge terraces, both with spectacular views, motivate to stay outside most of the time.
The interior is super old and real. The furniture truly brought me the memories from my drandparents ' place. Nevertheless, everything is super clean, well maintained. So, it really felt like a trip to the past :)
An important thing : it is not only the basics like a kettle, a coupe of plates and glasses, which you find in most of the apartments. The kitchenette has everything you need to have a first snack as soon as you arrive.
Last but not least, the host Daniela was super nice, very attentive and caring. Thanks a lot for making 5feel special!
- Alfonso (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mikkel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margarita (9/5): All in all a positive experience - Location
Cleanliness
Excellent communication with host Absence of shutters on one of the balconies
Lack of coffee machine
- Kathleen (10/5): Super value—fabulous location and great view from the balcony! - Such a great value! Wonderful location with fabulous view! Close to all the sites and the owner is super responsive if you have any questions! Flat is well appointed with snacks waiting for you and a bottle of wine!
- Murray (9/5): Superb - The views were amazing. I arrived after getting off the ferry after touring the islands and found my host had left a cold bottle of wine in the fridge along with snacks.
Very happy with accommodation.
Thanks again Murray
- Michael (10/5): A nice apartment with a very wonderful view on the Acropolis from the terra e -
- Roy (9/5): Superb - Location, View, Quiet, Cozy, Comms with management was excellent. Front door key tricky.
- Martin (10/5): When I come to Athens again I will stay here - Excellent location and fabulous views Nothing
- Lau (5/5): Passable -
- Katrin (8/5): Perfect spot to explore Athens for a few days - Great view and central location, helpful and friendly to arrange things, spacious basic room with everything one needs including a washing machine. Close to bakery, metro and restaurants too. Great spot for a few days exploring Athens. Prepare to walk a few flights of stairs if the elevator is down and for a small bathroom. Don't plan to cook meals, it's a small Kitchenette - no need to, lots of reasonable restaurants around.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - A wonderful view. Great communication from host. All went really smoothly. Great service by buses. Lots in the apartment even a washing machine. There was lots of stuff hairdryer etc. The only one more thing I could wish for was a pair of scissors but it didn't spoil our holiday.
- Robert (9/5): Excellent place to stay on your visit to Athens. - The location is unbeatable, the view of the Acropolis stunning. The host was always available and ready to assist. The bathroom is tiny and the hosts have already planned to bring it to the high standards of the rest of the unit.
- Nikolaos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (1/5): Bad - This apartment is all about the view as the apartment itself is very basic. The owner is wonderfully communicative and even allowed a later checkout which was very much appreciated. When turning on the lights in the kitchen, several small cockroaches scattered. But even worse, i woke up with numerous bites, in a row, on my arms and legs which would seem to be bedbug bite (though not professionally diagnosed). I sent photos as proof, only to be dismissed as gnat bites by the owner. Though i'm not sure how one insect infestation is better than another. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.
- Tania (9/5): Great place! - Location
- Elisabeth (9/5): Heart of Athens, balcony with Acropolis views and quiet funky neighbourhood with great feed and wine options - fabulous location in centre of Athens and amazing view of Acropolis from the balcony nothing
- Sandra (8/5): Great location and view from balcony. - great view of Parthenon from balcony. easy lockbox to enter building.
nice to have washing machine which was not advertised. small shower/bathroom but fine for us.
- Singh (7/5): Good -
- Charlene (8/5): Very good - Amazing location and the host was great.
