Guest Reviews

- Gillian (8/5): Good but they could have provided some dry logs and an oven - Very quiet and cosy No oven and had to buy logs for the fire as it was very cold

- Shiou Lin (9/5): Highly recommended for a get away trip. - Great location. Amazing view from the rooms (room with a double bed). The owner is very nice and has been very helpful during the whole stay. The light above the stove is not working. It was quite dark when we were cooking, manageable though.
- Linda (9/5): Well worth a visit - The views of Genalguacil from the rooms were spectacular. The accommodation was equipped with pretty much everything we needed. The bed was very comfy. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The rooms were VERY warm, as we were upstairs, although 3 fans were provided.
The chimney probably needs a sweep, as it smelled sooty in the room ( mid June), maybe it just needed airing out. The shower rail is faulty, so you have to hold the shower head, while showering.
Would've been nice to access to the downstairs bbq.
Apart from that it was perfect, would stay again
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved every minute of Casa Rural from the excellent communication from Veronica in the lead up which made ensuring we had petrol, cash and firewood prepared for the stay easy.
The house is immaculately clean, beautifully cosy and ready for guests to relax immediately. The beds were such a thoughtful touch with blankets made up on all beds and extra in the cupboard. We really feel the cold and were warm our entire stay, even when temperatures plummeted across the mountains - snowing for an hour!
I highly recommend booking firewood for your stay, the house is delightfully cosy and warm at night. There is a lovely cat that comes to visit, she is extremely cuddly and friendly.
A fantastic restaurant 10 metres away with beautiful food and great atmosphere. The town is magically covered in artworks that we spent days exploring as well as the many beautiful white towns through the mountains.
Our kids were outside playing with local kids the entire time we were there - the playground / basketball courts are right next door. It’s very family friendly. Our dog had the best time ever and was welcomed.
The shower is a little difficult to use but for the price of the stay and the fact that we were given plenty of extra towels it wasn’t a problem.
We will absolutely be back to stay in this lovely rural house in the mountains.
- Marian (9/5): Superb - Verónica is a wonderful host, the house is in a great location, ideal for nature-lovers, hiking and anyone seeking a place to recharge - very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you! :)
- Filip (8/5): Very good - Nice view and terrace
- Wayne (9/5): Super-friendly staff; amazing town and views! - Amazingly friendly, patient and helpful staff. Veronica speaks English, quite well. Definitely have them make you dinner in their a small, rustic restaurant: it was delicious (reservations required). They even had delicious vegan-friendly options for one in our group and the wine Veronica recommended was quite good.
Our apartment had a clean and attractive, rustic charm. The mattress and pillows were like new. With a little trial and error, one can figure out how to dial in a good, hot shower.
Our bedroom window, living room window and a terrace had a stunning view of the valley and mountains beyond.
Definitely get directions on how to get to the parking lot without going through the very narrow streets of the town. We didn’t we didn’t know about this, Im took the route through town and squeezed through with only a few centimeters to spare in places. One of my passengers had to close their eyes :)
The town lived up to its reputation, having varied and interesting installations of art around every corner. We came in in April, and there were remarkably few other tourists, and most of those were Spanish. We would definitely recommend it and come again! On weekdays, we could hear kids laughing and playing in the schoolyard next to the room that we had. We were not bothered by it, some people might be.
- Davið (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florido (7/5): Good -
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place. Would advise to make a visit to the shop before going. Can get quite hot up there and everywhere closes for siesta.
Amazing views! No air con, very hot if you are not use to the heat
