Guest Reviews

- Tatyana (10/5): - This place is a living history alongside Sevilla. Some of the stones in the walls date more than 1000 years and at some point this house was owned by Pilato family. It's built and preserved in the best Sevilla traditions with a quiet patio full of plants and sun. The owners renovated the house with all modern amenities while preserving the feel of history in the place. It is an 8 min walk from the Sevilla Cathedral and other historic sites.
- Erdengqimige (10/5): Absolutely great! - Great location, very beautiful house! Our host is amazing, he is super nice, he even gave us live instructions on where and when is the best place to watch procession for Semana Santa, we really enjoyed the stay here! Nothing
- Aliya (10/5): - This property is so special. It has a real and authentic charm to it. It is also very quiet despite being in the most central location of the old town. I will keep coming back for as long as they are open! Thank you.
L’host super disponibile e sempre responsive.
- Kirsten (10/5): Incredible location and beautifully kept accommodation - Prime location. Wonderful host. Very clean and comfortable. Bit more pricey than I would usually spend but that’s typical for Europe. Prices were still relative for the area.
- Hugo Costa (10/5): -
- James (10/5): This property is perfect - A fantastic host, who was there to receive us, the location is perfect with the most awesome reception area and door which tourists were continually taking photo's of!! The property itself, exuded authenticity and a genuine Seville culture, was clean, with a fantastic bed.
Location was also excellent for all of the many, many tourist attractions, the river, food areas. We couldn't fault it. Nothing to say here.
- Jane (9/5): Beautiful building, excellent location. - It was a treat to be in the heart of an historic neighborhood, really gave us the feel of Sevilla.
Lovely shared kitchen (private, never saw anyone else) for breakfast and some simple dinners.
Able to walk to most sights, really wonderful experience!
- Gianluca (8/5): -
- Jose Fco (10/5): -
- MICHELINE (8/5): On reviendra - La tranquillité , l’emplacement Néant
- Yuzeng (10/5): Antique building with modern facilities - An exceptional experience of stay! The property took you back to 100 yrs back, very unique experience! Recommend to stay if you are fan of antique architecture. Be ware here has no lift so you have to carry your luggage upstairs, the nearest public parking is 4-5mins walking(30euros/day). Also building is antique, the facilities are clean and well equipped, we booked 2 rooms and the one on the top floor was hanging from the ceiling so fun to stay hahaha! 5mins walk to the palace and 10-15mins walking to Plaza de Espana, so close to a lot of restaurants and cafes to enjoy the food of Sevilla!
- Chen (10/5): Perfecto!!! 🤩 -
- Mari Carmen (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): - Location is gorgeous. Right in the middle of the historical back streets of Sevilla. But room was quiet. Clean, beautiful and really well equipped. Made my stay a joy. Nothing. Ok, dragging bags there is a minor chore for the experience.
- Cecile (10/5): -
- Rene (7/5): -
- Alana (8/5): Excellent location. - Super nice hosts.
Loved the historic property. Bedroom on the third floor should have its own coffee maker.
- Leslie (10/5): Prachtig authentiek appartement midden in het oude centrum! - De locatie!
- Birgun (10/5): Perfect - Everything is perfect. You feel like at home. Hard of the Sevilla. Great location. Nothing
- James (10/5): Ancient Structure and Location, Modern conveniences. - Perfect location in the heart of the old town. Easy walk to everything
- Milica (10/5): Journey through the time - It looks very pretty and old and you have a feeling that you travelled back in time. The kitchen in the groundfloor is nice and big, the room is connested to bathroom, both very rustic with beautiful furniture pieces, with a bit old bathtub. The terrase is big and nice. The hosts were welcoming, available and good for cooperation. It is a unique place with great location. Only the fact that the bathroom is connected to the room.
- Jackie (10/5): This is a perfectly authentic Seville property in the best location! - The house and room were amazing. This is such a cool property that is authentic to its original architecture and with features and furnishings to match. Everything we needed was included, like laundry, shampoo/conditioner, plenty of towels, and more. The property manager was onsite to greet us when we arrived and was super communicative before and during our stay. I was worried that with the openness of the property, there would be bugs in the house but we never had a single issue with that. Everything was super clean and well cared for! Not that we didn’t like it but you are sharing the house with another set of guests.
- Dario (10/5): If you want to immerse yourself comfortably in Sevillan life, stay here. - The place has a lovely old timey athmosphere but is clean and very central in walking distance from bars and restaurants as well as major sights and parks. We slept very well. The check in was easy and flexible. We would definitely recommend to stay here.
- Joel (10/5): An unforgettable gem of a place to stay! - The location was perfect. I highly recommend. Our host was so kind and amazing. After check in, he took us on a tour even though we arrived quite late. The room was beautiful and the entire place has been restored with such attention to detail. If you want to immerse yourself in the culture, stay here. It was tricky to find but worth it. No complaints!
- Sharon (10/5): Authentic Old City experience in the best location! - Location, location, location! If you are looking for an authentic experience staying in the historic part of Sevilla, this is a great option! The building allowed you to step back in time and the location allowed short walks to all of the historic areas of the city! The owner was exceptionally helpful and gracious upon our arrival! Highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic Spanish old city experience! The historic feel and location!
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (10/5): Just....amazing! - I can't say enough about the authentic feeling and complete immersion in Seville generated by this stay. The owners were responsive and helpful, and we felt truly welcome. The pictures 100% represent the charm of this property. (Well, there's more charm then you can imagine). Location is amazing and we felt safe everywhere we walked in Asheville from here - and we walked everywhere except to and from the train station. We were also provided A great list of suggestions before we arrived and it was provided to us again on arrival. So appreciated! A door on the bathroom would be better than a curtain, but this would not keep me from staying again - we loved this stay!!
- Nayanika (9/5): Superb -
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patti (7/5): I appreciate the historical & traditional feel of the unit but access to the rooftop was locked and the kitchen didn - The location was fabulous, so central to shops, restaurants & major historical attractions The smell of methane gas & sewage was hard to sleep and no warm or hot water in the sink taps to wash your face
- Heather (10/5): Amazing vacation woth a wonderful host who was right there yo help if you needed anything. - Every thing it is a Spanish charm. The location is perfect in the heart of old town Seville.
Fernando is a wonderful helpful host. The building is full of character.
The kitchen downstairs reminded me of an old country farmhouse.
The court yard is very cute with plants chairs to sit and relax and enjoy with a glass of wine.
The bed was very comfortable.
We would return for sure. There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this home.
- Marrisa (10/5): Amazing staff, location and facilities - I loved everything about this suite, hotel and location. From start to finish and everything in between, it was perfect. Fernando, who managed the hotel was welcoming and helpful even before the stay! He is accommodating and will do anything ensure your stay is wonderful. The details of the hotel are amazing. Very comfortable and quiet.
I look forward to a return visit! Thank you, Fernando!
- Neodia (8/5): Very good -
- Valentin (10/5): A travel in time - This is one of the few "original" accommodations, that me and my wife have stayed in, where you can really turn back in time, from the first steps you make in the building. It's not that place that wants to look old but is new inside, it actually comes with the complete "old" factor.
Suite Doña Inés Barrio Santacruz is one of a kind. Besides, it's placed in an excellent location in Seville and it holds a history that is worth telling a story for.
- John (9/5): Location was great. A little difficult to find the first time. - No breakfast but could have made one because the kitchen was well equipped. Enjoyed coffee each morning. N.A.
- Tracey (8/5): Charming and Unique one of our favorites so far. - The place itself is spectacular for uniqueness. We loved it. The whole village is quite the labyrinth of passage ways. Fun to adventure during the day. Close to all attractions. If you have mobility issues might not be quite the place for you. A step stool to get into the bed would be a good idea as well and a comfortable chair. Be sure to receive the access code and room number before your arrival and a map.
- Callahan (10/5): Stay the night in a little piece of old Seville in this centuries old Seville Home in the historic district. - The location and ambience of this small 3 bedroom home are perfect. Everything was fine for us, but we love local treats over spic and span modern hotels.
- Kvasy (10/5): Exceptional - Great place! Wonderful interior, perfect location!
- Mary (10/5): Beautiful accommodations in a unique medieval building, in the Gothic Quarter. Easy access to the main site in Seville. - This is an incredible and unique property with a beautiful private room and bathroom suite as well as access to a kitchen on the first floor, shared only with the guests in another suite. the owner who created us was exceptionally kind and helpful. It was all quite lovely.
- Jeanette (10/5): I would recommend this place to anyone looking to be in old town! - The decor and owner were absolutely amazing!
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing, in the barrio of Santa Cruz, very close to all the attractions. We loved it! Fernando was very kind and welcoming, suggesting us many restaurants and places to visit. We would stay there again!
- Tim (8/5): Character Riad ozzing charm but don’t expect modern facilities - Very central location in the heart of the walking only alleys. It had tremendous character and felt like you were living 200 years ago. No towels. No hot water when I was there.
- Logan (10/5): Great location, so welcoming, and super clean. - The property and its owner were fantastic; they were so accommodating. We would stay again. The property is in a great location and is a short walk from all the major tourist sites and restaurants.
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice house located in the heart of city center, you can easily reach out most of tourist attractions in short working distance. A big plus is the host is great person who really made us feel travel as a local, we got very nice recommendations for restaurants, bar and activities.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very quirky place full of history - Very interesting old features Little dark
- Bernadette (10/5): Great location, gorgeous building - Lovely old building in the heart of the old city. We came out many times to people taking photos of the front door.
Nice and dark at night.
We appreciated the use of a well equipped kitchen although we didn’t cook during our stay!
The owner was really helpful and gave us lots of local information.
Only two rooms in the building, and a shared kitchen / dining room. The shared terrace was great. Nothing really.
I think it would work really well for two couples who know each other to share the house and facilities.
- Suzy (10/5): Amazing place - Truly amazing place. Location is fabulous and the property is so unique, we loved it. The hosts were so attentive and welcoming. Originally I would have bypassed this room because of the shared kitchen, but honestly it’s amazing, just book it. We’ll definitely be back.
- Michael (8/5): Great location for sightseeing as only a couple of minutes to Catederal etc. Host very welcoming. - Location to centre of Sevilla city great. Only a few minutes walk to the heart of the city and Catederal. Excellent reastaurants very close so all in all a great place to stay. The house itself is exceptional, with original features. We really did not use it to its full potential as we spent all our time out sightseeing etc. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful house and a credit to its owners. Only a VERY minor point but there were few facilities in room, no kettle etc. and when booking we were unaware that the kitchen was downstarirs from the room, and also shared with the other apartment. This really not a problem as we assumed most of the time we would be out sightseeing and eating out. But it is worth noting that should you wish or need to eat in you may have to share the kitchen/eating area. Only a very minor point!!
- Anthony (10/5): Fernado was excellent host. Very helpful - Quirky but practical
Very central
- Warner (9/5): Thoughtful, welcoming hosts with traditional Spanish courtyard building and great character rooms. - We had the pleasure of staying in both the available rooms. This building is a beautiful courtyard building with a room on each storey and access to a roof top terrace with views over the narrow streets below. There is a big kitchen with all available facilities and dining table downstairs. There are plants everywhere decorating the courtyard and terrace. Both rooms were large, clean, full of character with traditional Spanish decoration and big en-suite bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. The building is perfectly, centrally located in the historic centre with bars/cafes immediately outside. Despite the location, the rooms are inside the courtyard and really quiet. The owners (father and son) are delightful and so welcoming and friendly. They have put a lot of thought in what they provide for their guests, ie. bottled water in the fridge, tea and coffee, large bottles of shampoo, body lotion, conditioner and even a jar of make-up remover pads!
This is a wonderful place to stay and considering the location, it is good value. The nearest car park is about 10 minutes walk. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. We misunderstood the checking-in time and arrived 2 hours early but they still rushed over to let us in! There is nothing to dislike.
- Alecia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmel (7/5): Good - I didn't like the elevated bed, thought it could be dangerous & it turned out I was right!
- Lacosse (10/5): Exceptional - This property is incredible. It is highly unlikely you will ever stay in a 500 year old medieval home again! The property was perfectly updated to provide 21st century comfort. I truly loved our experience. Our host was exceptionally helpful and even provided information on where to buy the gorgeous linen clothing everyone in Seville is draped in!
- Jackson (10/5): Stunning location & charm! Quiet within the peak Santa Cruz district. Would definitely stay again and again. - Location was incredible!! And because the room is all original stone, it was super quiet for sleeping despite having everything at your front door. We absolutely loved the character and charm of the original building, comfortable bed, and sizeable rooms. Hosts were incredibly helpful - early bag drop off before check in, very responsive to messages. We actually liked everything - but if you’re after lots of daylight, you might not enjoy the minimal windows and stone walls. We weren’t home much during the day, so the darkness suited us for sleeping and the electric lighting worked perfectly 👌🏽
- David (5/5): Great setup but needs refinement. - The spaces are very unusual, taking you back to an earlier time. We very much liked the idea of living in an old world Sevilla space. The 3-story space including roof deck and open-air court, stairway is a unique arrangement. The effort to maintain the rustic feel of the space is admirable. Quiet at night and the sleeping/bath spaces have air conditioning. There was really not enough comfortable lighting in any room. Everywhere was a little bit too dark except for the entryway which is a blast of bright light, so lighting was inadequate. In the closet, the place where you’re supposed to hang clothes, the hangers are slopping down so they all crashed to the front of the bar, easy repair. The round rug in the bedroom was the wrong size for the space and the little fluffy ends kept lifting up and shedding. The roof deck and kitchen have no comfortable seating. The kitchen and the deck have no inviting comfortable spaces yet they comprise a lot of real estate. Dust-causing elements: Fibrous roof/ceiling on the top bedroom (that’s why we stayed in the other room), dried plants as decor, majority surfaces are unfinished/raw building materials that create/collect dust even though the spaces are “dusted”. The air conditioner blows the dust around airborne. The bottom level has a strong mildew odor. These contributed to, or caused, a sinus infection for one of the guests that lasted for several days and reduced sight-seeing with a whole day in bed at the next city.
- Nerea (6/5): Not worth the price - The location was great, right in the center of Seville. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure was not too great. The room had a tub which you could not use because they didn’t facilitate a plug which defeats the purpose of booking a room with a bathtub. Also, the room is not as pretty as it looks, I was quite underwhelmed.
- Graeme (8/5): Excellent communication from owners but we never met any members of staff. Would use again when returning to the beautif - Gorgeous building in Old Town. Very narrow streets full of culture and history. Quirky room with steps up to the bed. It felt like we were staying in a National Trust property! Slightly difficult to find. Bathroom sink had only cold water, hot tap does not work. No drinking water available. No glasses provided to have any sort of drink.
- Trish (10/5): Go!! - The location was fantastic - so close to many wonderful restaurants, and Seville highlights. Being close to Santa Cruz plaza really helped with navigating. Ferando Snr and Jnr were very kind and informative and it was lovely being met in our arrival.
- Hoi (10/5): great experience! - great central location n/a
