• Geoffrey (10/5): Loved it, so good - Well the view was so incredible. Even if you didn't leave the place the view was so good you didn't need to go anywhere. The walk along the front was easy access if you wanted a wander. Loved every minute. The front bedroom and it's view was exceptional as well

• Ange (8/5): Love coming to stay here, we’ll be back. - Love the location. Beautiful view. Everything we require is available. Was surprised to find all the bedlamps turned on, bed cushion on the floor, airconditioner going flat out, and dead flies /crumbs on the carpet. Definitely not the usual way we find this little cottage - we have stayed before several times, and love it.

• Ange (10/5): Loved our stay - we have been several times now! So pleasant to just wander out the front and walk along the delightful - Love the lounge, with the comfy old chairs - just sitting back and watching the world go by, and the front bedroom, with its amazing sea view too. We had clear nights, and could see the stars as we went to sleep. The bathroom is the most challenging for us. The spa bath has very high sides, so not at all easy to get in and out of! A rail would be a bonus. Also a light over the mirror would be useful.

Everything we needed was provided. - Stunning ocean views The very deep spa bath is challenging to step in and out of, (for people with short legs) when taking a shower.. . needs a strong grab rail, and a light over the bathroom sink would help women when trying to apply make up. The shower itself was great.

• Niki (9/5): Perfect location - The location was perfect. I loved being able to hear the ocean as I drifted off to sleep. Size. I knew it was small when I booked but was still a little surprising just how small given the description states it can accommodate 8 people.

• Russell (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous location with direct views to the ocean exactly as described. Plenty of room for people to spread out in with a great kitchen and living room area. Easy walk to the local shops & beach areas. Loved our time here in Bicheno.
• Barbara (10/5): It was great, sadly we did not get to see the penguins as there was too much noise from crowd - The location was the best I have stayed at in Tasmania. The house had everything you could need.
• Loretta (10/5): We do like to be beside the seaside - We wanted a place by the water with quality bedding and a decent shower. Anything else was a bonus. The location was perfect as we were able to lie in bed or sit and watch the ocean in all its forms. The house backs onto the sea and a walking path saw us leave the car behind as we strolled to Waabs and Redbill Beaches, cafes and restaurants and even timed a walk across the narrows to Diamond Island (Cod Rock) at low tide - be sure to check times and explore the rocks rather than the rookery areas. The accommodation had all the look of a proper Aussie beach shack but full facilities, comfort and cleanliness. We did not cook but there is a well fitted kitchen. There was just the two of us and the cottage has three bedrooms and while only one bathroom with separate toilet this would be a great place for a family stay. Always a treat to hear the penguins chattering at night as they return to surrounding areas.

• Peter (9/5): Book with confidence. - The unbeatable view was hard to look away from. The spa is plenty big enough for 2 adults. We liked the ample supplies of cutlery, crockery and everything you need for cooking. Not the most private location with people walking past between the house and the ocean but we knew this before booking.

• Carla (9/5): Superb - The views were everything! The location of this house was absolutely perfect. A lovely walk along the beach path to the shops and a few steps to Redbill beach for the surf. House was comfortable and worked well for our family of 5. Wifi would have been great to allow us to stream movies at night.
• Yi (9/5): Superb - The ocean front location was great. The main bedroom was comfortable. The bunk beds were not very comfortable. The 3rd bedroom in the back was too cold. No WiFi and no dryer. The couch and recliner were a bit old.
• Tania (8/5): A comfortable older style house in quiet area in this relaxing and quaint sea side town. - Great location close to centre of town and on waterfront. An older style house that was comfortably furnished. No basin in the separate toilet to wash hands. Only one toilet for the number of people it can accommodate could be problematic.

• Ange (10/5): Stunninly beautiful and relaxing , we loved our stay at Oceanfront. - As a more elderly couple we loved the peace and tranquillity of this property. I love to walk, and it is right on the waterfront with its track around the bay. The views from the bedroom and lounge are brilliant, and I particularly loved the comfy recliner chairs in the lounge area, for snuggling up and reading as I watched the rain. The heater was particularly effective which was great, as being cold is not something we appreciate. I enjoyed a spa bath after being caught in the rain. The kitchen is well appointed, with everything you might need, (although we didn’t do any cooking). We totally enjoyed our short stay at Oceanfront. Thank you. The first impression, with no shrubs or trees around the property, so it is not very private, but this is totally forgotten once you step inside 😊

The house is small.but even with 5 children, we found it comfortable and pleasant to come.home to after a day exploring the area. We would have loved a dish washer, and I imagine a drier would be handy if the weather was bad. We had beautiful weather, so it wasn't a problem.

• Kate (8/5): Views to die for! - Location! Views! Really comfortable, had everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to stare out at that view and wander down to the beach. Nice walk along beach into town too. Smelt a little bit mouldy/musty, but not too bad. Ants in kitchen a couple of times but not a major issue!

It was comfortable but the decor was average. The applicances were very old, although they did work, and there was no dishwasher.

Great kitchen full sized kitchen / appliances. Separate lounge and dining. Toilet separate from shower made it easy to cope with one bathroom/toilet and four adults. We’ll equipped laundry.

The house was warm and cosy, and we loved sitting in the sun overlooking the ocean. Bonus to find a few penguins at the bottom of the garden! There was no drying rack for the dishes.

What a breathtaking view from the fabulous and clean windows that are in the living/dining and also master bedroom. I could never get sick of the view. Best view in all Bicheno. Emily our host was sensational and everything was catered for. We will be back and recommending to everyone who travels Tas. Photo just don’t do justice to the way this place makes you feel. Amazing Practically perfect in every way

Floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean to the north meant the sun kept the house lovely and warm. Good quality linen and white fluffy towels. comfortable beds and nice bathroom products. Used the washing machine with washing powder sachets provided (but no dryer - used the clothes line). Perfect place to sit and watch the ocean. Plus bonus of having the penguins just down on the shore in front of the house! Nothing - absolute delight staying here

• Lauren (10/5): the view absolutely made our holiday! - the house itself is an old fisherman’s shack so is quaint and modest but has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. but really the reason you are staying here is for the views and the location - and they can’t be beaten! photos don’t do it justice, it’s just the most gorgeous view from the lounge and the master bedroom - you could stare at it all day. it’s only a short walk into town which is a lovely little place, and there is a fantastic beach just a couple minutes walk away. communication with host was good, and the place was clean. definitely underestimated this place, we didn’t want to leave.
