• Anastasiia (10/5): - Хорошое расположение, много магазинов рядом и кафе. До голубой мечети 10 минут пешком, рядом спуск к морю. На ресепшене чудесный мужчина, помог донести вещи, все рассказал и показал в номере, всегда был приветлив, дал нам вторые ключи от номера, потому что увидел, что мы приходим домой в разное время. В 12.00 было выселение и он разрешил оставить вещи на его ресепшене. Потом еще и сидели у него на ресепшене в ожидании трасфера (наше время проживания истекло 4 часа назад), он нам вынес стулья))) Еще на прощание подарил милые брелки на пямять) Проблем никаких не возникло, номер чистый, все есть, даже одноразовые тапочки и шампунь.

• Jacqueline (8/5): Excellent location, lovely people and comfortable apartment with large terrace. - Location was excellent we walked everywhere. The Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia were all 5 to 10 mins walk away. Also very close to Food Street. You can easily walk to the port to take sightseeing trips by walking straight through the Grand Bazaar. Lovely large terrace. The person on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Cooking facilities were limited. There wasn't a hob or oven only a portable gas stove. The receptionist lent us his microwave which was very kind of him. We ate out mainly but it was good to be able to warm up takeaways etc in the microwave. It would also be useful to have a mirror in the bedroom as the only mirror was in the bathroom.

• Ahmed (10/5): - هذا المكان مهما تحدثت عنه لن أوفيه حقه، بداية من المضيفين الرائعين الودودين جدا، أكثر ما أعجبني في هذا المكان هو المضيفين، انهم رائعون جدا بالتأكيد إن ذهبت لاسطنبول مرة أخرى لن أبحث عن فندق أخر بسبب المضيفين ، كانوا لطفاء جدا ويعاملون أطفالي بكل الحب. كما أن الغرفة التي استأجرتها كانت جميلة والتراس الخاص بها له اطلالة جميلة جدا على البحر نعم هي اطلالة صغيرة لكنها كفيلة أن تغير مزاجك الصباحي للأفضل، كنت أعاني قليلا مع السلم عند الصعود للغرفة لكن هذا شيء طبيعي في منطقة الفاتح وليس عيبا. توقفت التدفئة عن العمل في احدى الليالي فعرض علي المضيف توفير مدفئة كهربائية، إنهم حقا رائعون❤️ ❤️ لا شيء

Las camas muy comodas, las sabanas y toallas muy limpias. Tranquilo. Esta muy centrico de atracciones. El barrio no es de lo mejor pero es seguro.. Quizas las escaleras que tienes que subir al apartamento

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff was always ready to assist. The price-quality ratio was excellent. The location was convenient, with everything within walking distance.

• Mikhail (10/5): This is excellent hotel for a small family, for couples or for single travelers. - It is actually surprising how good is this hotel given that it is located in a residential area. I like this since this creates more opportunities for travelers to experience local life. Also, the suites are actually large, comfortable, and air conditioning works well. The price is quite reasonable, especially given the value of this accommodation. Walking distance to the main sites is about 10-15min, no matter if you are going east or north. The tram T1 stop is also within 10min walking distance, and public transport in Istanbul is fair. I was cooking in a kitchen, and all appliances were fine for me. However, there is no microwave. There is a small Migros nearby, and a few other smaller groceries stores. There are lots of local eateries and restaurants around, if you do not like cooking yourself. Shower has good water pressure, water temperature is fine, and it can be adjusted as desired. If you go north, you have to walk uphill, but for me it was OK. Walking east is almost flat.

• Maithong (8/5): Great stay for the price! - The pictures are accurate of the rooms. The location was about a 15-20 minutes walk of Hagar Sofia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Lots of food and coffee shops around. You must go to Evin’s Bakery!
• Subhadeep (9/5): Nice staffs and comfortable location - We first got an appartment on the top floor, as per our own selection only. But after arriving, we realised it was not very easy to climb for us, specifically my wife having trouble to climb. However, amaizingly, as soon as we requested them, they shifted us to a 1st floor appartment. Such a nice gesture from them. The location was downhill from Grand Bazaar level. So prepared to walk uphill fro 2-3 mins.

Seemed as if they are not used to guests staying for more than a few nights. We would have liked for the rooms to have been cleaned at least once during our eight night stay - only the rubbish bins were emptied. We also did not get any toiletries or soap, and there were no microwave ovens as stated in the listing. However, we mostly ate out (there is a great little eatery just across the road) and did not need a microwave

• Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Loved staying here - so much that I booked it again! It was central and within walking distance of major attractions, such as the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. There are many restaurants around, but it was the uncle across the road who stole the show with good food at local prices. The rooms were comfortable with everything we needed. Note that this is not a stay for people with high demands. It is basic budget self-catering accommodation with clean floors and clean bedding. The fact that it is a non-smoking facility and received high scores for cleanliness were deciding factors for us when booking, as was the budget. The rooms were definitely clean and did not smell of smoke. The staff were exceptional and we were able to communicate fairly well via Google translate, as our Turkish is non-existing. The concierge, Sefel (I hope I spelled it correctly!), deserves mentioning. On our arrival, exhausted from fifteen hours on the plane, we were able to leave our luggage in our rooms, even though it was not check-in time yet. He sprinted up the stairs with luggage in hand and a smile on his face. He was back in no time to get the other suitcases! During my second stay, he opened up at 01:30 and helped me with luggage again, even though it was the middle of the night. Truly amazing. The property is also within walking distance of the tram line and the metro, which made traveling across Istanbul very easy. ATM's could be found near the stops. The property has a roof terrace, but we unfortunately never made use of this facility. It seemed that the cleaning staff are not used to people staying for more than a few days at a time. We would have liked fresh towels and maybe fresh sheets after a few days. We also had to ask for extra toilet paper. Not sure if that was a cultural difference, or miscommunication. A side note for the traveller with icks: there is some mould in the showers. This is, however, in my experience, to be expected when living near the water. Showers were clean and remodelled.

Small shops and restaurants are within 50 meters. You can walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, but when you first go to Grand Bazaar, you can also take a tram. For elderly people, the place is hilly. You have to climb uphill to reach the tram. One could also try going downhill, towards Bosphorus, and take a bus.

The place is very quiet we were able to sleep in without a problem. This place exceeded expectation. Great value for money spent. Thank you for having us we will be back.

• Abdelmoumen (10/5): Unforgettable, wonderful stay at Pio Otel, thank you Ayvaz! - Fabulous week at Pio Otel! Within walking distance from the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, near the Tram stop at Beyazit to join Istanbul's transport network, the hotel is ideally situated in the historical part of the city. The room was large with three windows. It was cleaned every day, with a new supply of towels, disposable slippers and tea and coffee bags to make tea and coffee with the electric kettle. The beds were large and confortable, with air conditioning and running hot and cold water and there was a hairdrier and satellite tv as advertised. Ayvaz the owner was so kind and welcoming, always ready to help. He brought us a 5 l bottle of cold mineral water upon our arrival on the first day which was a very hot day in addition to the water supplied in the room's small fridge. He answered all our questions and gave us intereeting tips to make our stay in Istanbul even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will come back to it for our next visit. • Mariana (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is within walking distance of the metro, bus and tram stops, shops and sights. The rooms are spacious and clean, with excellent wifi. The staff is kind and responsive. I recommend to anyone who wants to visit Istanbul.
