Guest Reviews
- Daniel (1/5): Está cerrado y permite la reserva - Estaba cerrado y asi en Booking.com permiten la reserva,un dia fatal ,el dueño dijo que ya estaba cerrado hace un mes ,,muy mal
- Guest (5/5): Good value for money and clean - Great location, short walk from the station and walking distance to the ExCel conference centre, IFS Cloud Cable car to O2 Arena, Docklands and Royal Victoria Beach. Rooms value for money, welcome bottle of water, clean towels, pairs of white slippers and overall clean - at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Previous review mention the shower hose being broken so you can’t hang the shower up and stand under it- this was still broken, the stair carpet could do with a vax washes loads of stains on the tread. Main thing is to have a tidy away of the pile of mail, toiletries left in the bathroom, old pair of trousers left in the wardrobe. On the whole clean just needs that extra attention to detail, and getting rid of the stuff now not used or left by previous occupants. Originally thought I was getting a room with an en-suite from the write-up and picture, got a different triple room on the ground floor, previously the houses old ground floor front room, with shared bathroom on the first floor. Overall good value for money clean, secure and on a quiet street.
- Soibi (9/5): - Nice and clean room. Easy to access from Excel. Good location, clean facilities Nothing really
- Howiedintheplace (7/5): Incredibly cheap considering it's location. - The location was perfect, just a short 15 min walk to the Excel. Tesco Express and restaurants near by and within 5 mins of a DLR station. Comfy double bed in a large room. Mary the host was superb and very laid back which I liked. Hard to fault at the price but the property did feel a little run down.

- Anonymous (6/5): Leaving out the kitchen everything was nice and comfortable. Although may be a bit noisy at night if it is hot and you n - Bedroom was nice and clean, bathroom also comfortable. Area wasn’t touristy at all so it felt unique and local. Kitchen was full of moulded food, didn’t look like it had been cleaned for a very long time.
The kettle also had a lot of scale so I suggest you don’t rely on any kitchen utensils or appliances.
- Tariq (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (8/5): Our stay was peaceful, restful and in a good location! - It was on an ideal location for going to the O2 arena with the bonus of going over the Thames by cable car! Well it was a shared bathroom which was clean and had toiletries provided ! It was the fact that the sink tap was rather wobbly and that the shower hose had to be hand held as you shower due to it not having a working hose holder that worked.however thst is only minor things!
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable - There was a slight smell in the room.
- Sam (8/5): It is a good place and friendly host. - My one-night stay in this private room was excellent! The room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The location was also convenient to the Excel exhibition centre. The host (Mary) was incredibly responsive and friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to other travelers!
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beatrice (8/5): Very good -
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional - Right next to the ExCel which was why I came here. 10min walk to Custom House sation.
Everything was as advertised. Ignore the bad reviews, it was really good for the price.
- Barbara (10/5): Great - It is a nice room, in a nice place of London. The owner Mary, is a really kind and she helped me a lot. The house was really close to the DLR station. I will come back! Thank you Mary!
- Ferrari (7/5): Good -
- Don (10/5): Exceptional - Mary was an absolutely exceptional host. Highly recommend
- Maggie (1/5): Grubby and only take cash or bank transfer - Owner lovely and welcoming. Bedding and towels white and clean. Heating works well. Bed was like a rock and has plastic sheet on mattress under main sheet. Very uncomfortable and noisy if moved around on bed.
Went to use bathroom and there was poop on the toilet. No brush to give it a quick clean because let's face it, a smidge of poop can happen in a shared bathroom.
Ventured to find the kitchen for a fork to eat my dinner and the kettle to make a drink. Again everything was grubby. Every surface needs a good wipe and I decided to switch off the light and back away.
Cool looking bedside clock/lamp/phone charger but had no charge cable to plug it in. No plug socket there anyway! I had to.use my phone as a torch to turn off the main light by the door to get to the bed.
After no sleep because of bed and my asthma reacting to the dirt I got up ready to prepare for.the day.
Shower over bath crusted in timescale and the bath to stand in had brown water stains. I cleaned the bath before trying to have a shower.
Floor around and under toilet was dirty and stained. Clean patch is where I put a towel.down to stand on after the my attempt to shower.
Shower dribbles so unable.to.wash hair. I was then overtired, struggling to breathe and had yucky hair. I decided to leave instead of staying my 2nd night which meant a last minute booking costing me more money than I would have paid.
Note that they do NOT take card payments. On arrival I was asked for cash or bank transfer and the details were sent to me. I will be honest and I have not paid for this room for either night. I did offer feedback directly and to go through customer services if the owner wished to discuss me making a payment but I have not had any contact from them to discuss further.
- Surabhi (8/5): Decent place for a short stay - The room was clean, pretty basic but decent enough for short stays. Close to the tube station. Has a kitchen downstairs, can make yourself tea, coffee.
Our host was pretty prompt in responses to our messages. We personally didn't have any contact with the host. But clear instructions were provided for self check in. Nothing to criticize. You get what you pay for.
- Nevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming and friendly and lovely clean room! Nice and close to public transport and good for the O2. Nice quiet area. I recommend staying here!
- Matt (7/5): Good -
- Mohammed (8/5): Excellent location, comfortable , clean, meet the expectations, but you need CASH for payment - the location, cleanliness, staff the payment method it was by CASH which I struggled to get CASH and they did not inform me that they accept only CASH or Bank transfers in advance before the booking.
- Richard (9/5): Great place to stay. Very close to ExCel. - On arrival the owner was super friendly and asked if there was anything I needed.
Wi-Fi code was given to me straight away.
The owner knocked on the door with a bottle of water for me. This was a nice gesture after a long day at work.
- Daniel (7/5): Very Nice host, very friendly and helpfull! - Nice room with everything You need, very Living host Shower and bathroom facilities could be better, as an average height male i had to bow under the shower
- Maribeth (10/5): Exceptional - It is a nice place , clean and quiet .
Host Mary, was very accommodating and courteous, its a very quiet place, we will surely book again in this place
- Arundhathy (7/5): Good - Bedroom and washroom were clean. It was affordable too It felt like the landlady was trying to intrude our privacy by opening the bedroom door, instead of just messaging us.
- Hazel (10/5): will endorse - accessible location. clean and with the usual facilities (bed and bath) for an overnight stay.
- Gbadebo (1/5): Bad - Nothing No heating and kitchen was dirty
- Rajeev (9/5): Superb - The location was 5 minutes walk from the DLR (Royal Victoria) in a quite and plush neighbourhood. Host Mary was very accommodating and courteous. Will surely revisit Wasn't aware of the shared bathroom / toilet, which was on the 1st floor.
- Remy (5/5): Got job done - It got the job done. Needed a place to crash out and on that count there were no faults. Had to pay cash. Not an issue for me but i have to call out them advertising card payment.
- Luc (9/5): Superb - mary just warmly welcome me, was accessible and reliable. Top.
- Tong (10/5): Exceptional - It is nice place cleaning and quiet. Landlord lady wait for me until midnight thanks. Will come back.
- Esar (10/5): Our stay at this place was comfortable. - A walking distance from the Royal Victoria DLR station. The owner lady was cooperative and caring. We want to book this place again if we come to visit London. This accommodation has no car parking for guests.
- Sorina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect location as a crash pad to see bands at the o2, clean, comfortable and affordable. Couldn’t - The lady who runs the property was friendly and helpful with directions and provided all details needed for our stay. It was exceptionally close to the o2 with easy transport links. It was a very pleasant experience and I slept very well. Felt safe and comfortable. Had clean sheets, towels and drinks and snacks provided. I will definitely be returning whenever I book tickets for the o2 All was well
- Gabor (8/5): Great value, peaceful neighborhood, close to the dlr - Very good quality towel
Simple no frills accommodation There is no lock box to enter, have to coordinate with owner to get in. She was very flexible but still caused me issues as my schedule was hectic
- Arturas (8/5): Very good -
