- Therese (8/5): It is good value if you are not intending on hanging out in the room. - The location is great for my purpose- I was close to work and good restaurants/amenities. I couldn't bring food/drinks to the room.

- Catherine (6/5): Great location but expensive for a hostel stay. - Great location for the city. Bright kitchen, great lounge and lovely period features. Room was very hot then later (when staff had switched heat down) it was cold. Mouse visited the room. Expensive for a hostel.
- Ivy (10/5): -
- Kim (10/5): -

- Denisa (8/5): - The staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The location was excellent, with a large supermarket just about a 5-minute walk away. I’ve also stayed at another hostel from this same chain in Calgary, and my experience there was better overall. In Calgary, breakfast was included, along with complimentary coffee and tea with several options to choose from.
At this location, tea was missing over the weekend. Although the staff eventually restocked it, there was only one option available (black tea), which felt quite limited compared to the selection in Calgary, where there were around six varieties.
Additionally, paper towels were missing in the kitchen for about two days.
Overall, compared to the Calgary hostel from the same chain, this one falls slightly behind, even though it belongs to the same brand.
- Jose David (9/5): -
- Chor Fung (8/5): Nice location, cozy little hostel. - Location was convenient. Very close to the train station, grocery store well within walking distance. Choice of restaurants was ample.
Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
Mattress was plush and comfortable. Could be better if bunk bed curtains are provided for more privacy.
Lots of doors to go through requiring keycard access when I want to use the bathrooms. Not very convenient when your hands are full.

- Miyuki (10/5): It was close to the board walk, restaurants and super market! - I had 2 huge luggage bags and they stored them before checking in and after checking out for no problem!

- Emmanuella (9/5): Good -
- Valerian (8/5): Super belle auberge de jeunesse, bon rapport qualité prix et bien situé - L’ambiance et la localisation
- Dixit (7/5): - The location and cleanliness was good Too many people are cramped into one room, lockers don't have any keys and you are required to bring your own, would have really liked if breakfast was included or at least activity to make your own.

- Romona (8/5): - Great location, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Very walkable. Friendly and helpful staff. I was able to store my bag after checkout which was a great help to me! Washrooms were clean and all facilities well kept. The check in experience after the 11pm deadline is not great. Its best if you can check in while the staff is still there. Also, the sound proofing is terrible in the rooms so if you're a light sleeper, you will have trouble getting rest.

- Ranah (10/5): Great short stay! - This hostel was newly renovated and has been kept in good condition. I really liked the interior design and facilities. The staff were lovely and gave great recommendations on what to do on a Friday night when I had nothing planned. The beds were comfortable, and the room felt spacious. The location is also pretty central, and everything is walking distance to attractions. Nothing, it was a lovely stay.

- Sibanda (9/5): - Very neat place ,quiet. The lounge has tenants that feel they are better than others, someone comes in volume up ,the other volume down ,the other switches off, the other comes in switches on , the other shuts the windows the other opens the windows ,all this while you seated there helplessly. It was fun at the end though, found it amusing and a chance understanding different characters. Otherwise it is a nice place honestly
- Carl (9/5): -
- Falebita (5/5): - I didn't eat The 8-bed room was stuffy due to the number of people. There should be a way to aerate the room for proper breathing.
- Lance (7/5): -
- jason (10/5): - Location , Rooms Nothing
- Andrés (9/5): -
- Singh (8/5): -
- Asif (10/5): Great experience, very central, friendly staff. - I got my own food and drink but all the things were available. It was good to see that there were free food items that I could have used. The location is excellent. Was lucky enough to find a free parking at night. Missed having a parking for the House. But still managed to get a free one. Thank you. One day it took me almost two hours to find a parking spot. I also had to wait for the free parking time before coming to the house, as I was new in Canada and did not know how to use the parking metering system.
- Yevgeniy (6/5): -
- Mei Mei (6/5): - staffs are nice may be not hostel's responsiblity but one person in the dorn snort and could not sleep one night.
- Dariia (10/5): -
- Henry (7/5): - Staff great. Facilities great. Room tiny bad value for $220+
- Alexandre (10/5): The most luxurious hostel I have ever been to! - I liked pretty much everything.
The building was recently reformed, both facade and interiors. The double room was completely renovated as well with modern shower and super big and comfy bed in a quiet location in the upper floor. Very comfortable and private space.
The common facilities were also very good, with huge kitchen and storage and fridge capacity.
The lounge and chill out / TV area are very elegant and cozy. They also had laundry but did not try there.
- Gabriel (7/5): -
- Oli (7/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): -
- randy (8/5): enjoyable - love the roof terrace. some people that stayed there.
- Senam (9/5): Overall really good - It was really good stay and everyone was very nice It would be nice to have a bench in the bathroom to place stuff on
- Josée (6/5): The building has potential...I would like my sandals to be sent to me by post, thank you! - The bed is comfortable, but the doors slam a lot. People don't pay attention to closing the doors gently in the evening and at night. I forgot my sandals the night of July 3-4. I called and the person told me that they had them in a bag with my name on it. On July 29 I came back for another night and the same person told me that they couldn't find my sandals??? I didn't find that nice or professional.
- Josée (6/5): The building has potential... I'd like my sandals to be returned to me by mail in Quebec. Thank you! - The bed is comfortable, but you often hear the doors slamming day and night...people don't pay attention to closing the doors gently, especially at night. I already responded and rated the night of July 3-4.
I'm talking about the stay on July 28-29. I called on July 5 to say I forgot my sandals, and the receptionist told me she had them in a bag with my name on it. On the 28th, I came back for another night, and the same person told me she couldn't find them... I didn't find the service very friendly or professional.
- Patrizia (8/5): Halifax Heritage House - Central location, heritage house, recently renovated, common room and kitchen great shared spaces and well organized, laundry. Please note that there is no A/C in the room (or, at least in the room with private bathroom). It wasn't a problem for us, just informative.
Paid street parking nearby is great (and reasonably cheap). Be aware of street cleaning on Wednesday between 12:05am and 8am (Tuesday night). There is a parking lot and even an underground parking not far anyways. All good!
- David (8/5): -
- Cheick o faroukou (1/5): -
- Neomi (3/5): - Good location No AC, no fans, very hot in the room.. Sweating all night. The doors are very loud when they close. Constant banging sound in the hallways. I wanted to leave my luggage for a couple hours in the morning but the office didn't open at 8am... I waited 15 min and then just left.
- Susan (10/5): An excellent option for an exceptional Halifax experience. - This hostel is wonderful - situated close to the waterfront, public transit, etc. - it was ideal from my conference travel. It was super clean, quiet, and I loved how friendly all the staff were.
- Catia (9/5): Comfortable -
- Sau (10/5): Excellent stay - Everything The shower is a bit small
- Farrukh (8/5): -
- Patrocinio (8/5): Overall I had a good stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. - Newly renovated place. Walking distance to different attractions. Doors were heavy and make too much noise when someone comes and goes.
No common washroom downstairs. Had to go back upstairs to use one if needed.
- Catherine (10/5): Chill hostel - A very well-run hostel. Clean and spacious dorms. Huge kitchen area and comfortable lounge. Friendly staff. Nice mix of people.
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Mizuka (7/5): -
- Ian (7/5): Had a good old time. It was a decent value for money, and it's right in the heart of the city. - You're close enough to everything you'd wanna be without being so close you can't get away from it. Restaurants, parks, and the waterfront are right at your doorstep. Not so much a didn't like, but I know hostels in Europe often have privacy curtains that you can slide around the beds in the rooms. Not sure if they'd look into that, but it's something I enjoy when you wanna get a greater sense of privacy in an otherwise full room.
- Margaret (10/5): Perfect. - Facilities exactly as pictured on your website. Kind, courteous staff, clean and attractive accommodations in perfect location. Room needs some hooks! Back of doors would be perfect.
- Jongan (9/5): - Friendly and supportive staff noisy bed
- Yalin (4/5): -
- Harshita (9/5): Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, met expectations - Hostel was clean and well equipped with amenities like a kitchen, towel and the staff made the check in was easy, I enjoyed my stay! Bunk beds were comfy and rooms weren't too hot or too cold in the fall
- SEONGHAN (10/5): -
- Dmytrii (10/5): Friendly staff, clean and well-organized spaces, well maintained and equipped for a stress-free rest -
- Florencio (7/5): Ok location but won’t stay again given its many negatives - Location is its best feature. Close to the Boardwalk, Citadel, museums, etc. No privacy curtains, bed is too small, headroom for the bunk beds is too low, no breakfast, and no elevator.
- Alessia (10/5): - very clean and well maintained!
