Davidson (6/5): Pleasant - The location. Room's size. Clean. Quite and dark when closing the windows. The owner is very responsive, cares a lot, and really trying to make things right. I think he should handle the small things that made our staying not great. The water in the shower gets suddenly cold for a minute, and then hot again. The water stream is very weak. The air conditioner woke me up with noises during the night that lasted an hour. The bathroom is across the hall, so you need to go dressed because people from the next room might see you. The kitchen is ok, but not great. The kettle makes the electricity go down. The pan is old and crooked. We didn't had soap for the dishes.
Jennifer (1/5): Unpleasant experience - Unacceptable. When I walked in to the room and noticed the scent of the linens and towels I notified the host that I could not stay there because I could not breathe. The host would not accommodate my request and his solution was inadequate. He also doubted me when I told him the bathroom smelled like urine. I told him I would be checking out the next day and asked for a refund for the remainder of my stay. The host said that he could not accommodate my request and told me that I had to contact Booking.com. Booking.com in turn told me that I had to contact them. No one has taken responsibility and someone needs to be held accountable. The room was also misrepresented.The listing stated that there is a private bathroom but it neglects to say that you have to leave your room, cross the hallway to access it. This leaves the chance of running into the guests in the adjacent room. It should have been listed as a hostel.
