- Oliver (10/5): Wunderbares und stilvolles Hotel außerhalb von San Agustín - Die Unterkunft ist einem ehemaligen Kloster untergebracht, das wunderschön restauriert wurde und sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und großzügig bemessen, das Bett ist sehr komfortabel. Das Frühstück ist überaus reichhaltig und kann nach eigenem Geschmack zusammengestellt werden. Die Mitarbeitenden und die Besitzerin sind ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit. Auch das Abendessen im stilvollen Restaurant mit Kamin ist köstlich, wenn auch etwas teurer. Alles prima! Man ist etwas außerhalb des Ortes, dafür kann man schnell besondere Orte erwandern

- Helen (10/5): Everybody must experience this wonderful hotel! - The Hotel Monasterio was an exceptional place to stay. Amazing hacienda and garden, furnished with love and taste, and run by an incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful family. The Christmas dinner was wonderful, and a few nights later the chef whisked up another dinner for us at short notice. The hotel is actually within walking distance of the archaeological park and several other beautiful historic sites.

Breakfast was simple but excellent, enjoyed immensely. Better communication on how to get there from the airport as our taxi couldn’t take us to our hotel. He dropped us in San Agustin.

- Christine (10/5): Memorable stay in beautiful, interesting location! - This very eclectic architectural gem of a hotel is situated with beautiful views and has an extensive, lovely garden. The staff are warm and personable, bringing their local expertise and a lot of good humor with them! The onsite guest only restaurant had well prepared, varied offerings. Last minute since we did not prepare ahead, they helped us secure a very personable guide with excellent english for two days of touring. The flight to Pitalito and short taxi ride to San Agustin are entirely worth it….scenery and archaeologic sites are fabulous! The town of San Agustin is welcoming and attractive as well! No negatives

Mostly it is the friendly staff, Carlos greeted us and attended to every need during our stay. Dievir, the waiter for two events was great as was Raul, or waiter on the last night. The breakfasts were exception, the restaurant was charming, the food was very good, but again, it was the service that made this place stand out. We will be back. Can't think of anything. [s]

The meals were delicious and the dining areas are lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to walk from there to visit an archaeological site on La Pelota. The hotel also arranged taxis for me. That I only had one night to stay there. If I had known how lovely the hotel would be I would have arranged my trip to stay longer.
