• Alexander (10/5): Es war ein sehr schöner lohnenswerter Aufenthalt. - Megatoller Park mit Faultieren,…. Hübsche Häuser, gutes Frühstück, schöne Poolanlage, Nationalpark und Restaurants zu Fuß erreichbar,… Der „Geruch“ im Haus war teilweise unerträglich.

• Dina Aicher (10/5): Kleines Paradies - Ein entzückendes kleines Hotel in toller Lage nahe dem Nationalpark. Der Garten des Hotels ist ein kleines Paradies und man kann hier viele Tiere und Vögel beobachten, auch Faultiere leben in den Bäumen dort. Supermärkte und Lokale fußläufig, auch die srhr schöne playa negra ist in ein paar Gehminuten erreichbar. Abgesperrter Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist begrenzt, aber völlig in Ordnung.

• Lina (10/5): EL ENCANTO - El lugar lo define el nombre del hotel "el encanto", la verdad que todo genial, nos gusto desde que llegamos y nos dio pena dejarlo..... la habitación comodísima, piscina y zonas comunes super bien cuidadas, vimos animales amigables (osos perezosos, pájaros de todo tipo, iguanas, ranas, etc.....) y el personal muy amable..... volveremos si volvemos a Costa Rica sin duda.... Podría decir que todo nos gustó.....

• Sylvia (10/5): - Ein sehr schönes kleines Hotel in super Lage. In 5 Minuten zu Fuß im Ortszentrum. Bis zum Nationalpark sind es 10 Minuten. Es hat ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer gefehlt.

• Michelle (10/5): Perfection! - The grounds are lovely. We saw a sloth, iguanas, dart frogs and so many birds. The rooms are wonderfully cozy and well stocked. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Our large group hopes to return.

The restaurant is good. Very nice surroundings with a 🦥 in the tree! Free coffee in the afternoon which was great Good variety of food during the breakfast although nothing spectacular. The restaurant is too expensive as everywhere in CR! The pool is not super clean (but that’s something very usual in Costa Rica)

• Susanne (9/5): Sehr schöne Anlage mit botanischem Garten und kleinen Pools mit abgesperrtem Parkplatz nahe Cahuita - Wunderschöne kleine Anlage mit 2 kleinen sauberen Pools. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit Terrasse. Sehr großes Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und TV. Bequemes Bett. Schönes Badezimmer. Der Garten ist wunderbar gepflegt - viele Pflanzen - wie ein botanischer Garten. Über unserem Bungalow hing ein Faultier hoch im Baum. Ein großer Leguan spazierte um den Pool. Ein wild bunt gemusterter Frosch saß im Garten. Wir haben hier fast mehr Tiere gesehen als im Nationalpark :-). Es herrscht eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Man sollte die Happy-Hour ausnützen. Der Mojito ist sehr gut. Den Ort Cahuita und den Nationalpark erreicht man zu Fuß. Es gibt einen abgesperrten Parkplatz beim Hotel. Für das Frühstück braucht man viel Zeit. Man kann nichts auswählen. Die Unterkunft und Anlage & das Restaurant ist sehr schön aber auch hochpreisiger als andere Unterkünfte auf unserer Costa-Rica-Reise.
• Michel (4/5): - Le jardin est bien arboré. Le restaurant ouvre trop tard 14h30. Le petit déjeuner pas adapté aux personnes qui ne déjeunent pas sucré. Il manque un bar avec des horaires normaux. 2 Piscines trop petites surtout que l'établissement reçoit beaucoup de famille avec enfants donc la piscine n'est plus accessible aux couples sans enfant.

• York (8/5): - Süßes kleines Hotel direkt an der Karibikküste. Einmal schräg über die Straße zum Meer. 5 Gehminuten zum belebten Bereich mit vielen Restaurants. Im Hotel haben wir die besten Mojitos in Costa Rica getrunken (und wir haben überall welche getrunken). Im Garten konnte man Pfeilgiftfrösche beobachten. Einziges Manko, dass die Handtücher nicht gewechselt werden. Diese trocknen bei dem karibischen Klima nur schwer.

Breakfast was wonderful, with fruit and homemade bread- so delicious! Our bed was a bit creaky and the mattress was tired, but it wasn't a big deal and we slept fine!

• Page (10/5): We loved this place and it will be our first choice if we return to the Carribean Coast! - Overall we LOVED this hotel and regretted we didn't book it longer. Staff was so kind and helpful. The room was luxurious and clean. Loved the mosquito nets, but did notice a small hole in one. The studio was big and beautiful, the kitchen was great, coffee was wonderful and we adored the peaceful pool. Appreciated the security of having a gated lot as we heard a lot about crime and were worried about leaving our car parked. So grateful they allowed us to leave our car parked in the lot ahead of check in so we could explore town and not worry about the car! THANK YOU FOR THAT! Also, the extra bed was a lifesaver! Two things we weren't crazy about, but not significant enough to impact rating. First, wifi barely worked in our room. It worked a little on the porch, and perfect near the office, but that could be better. Second, I'm vegan and there was only fruit and toast to eat. They offered avocado as the vegetarian protein option. Avocado is NOT a significant source of protein and I actually can't eat them, so to have only one thing for vegetarians was not good, considering the price of everything. I had to watch everyone eat and then go find food elsewhere. The menu in general could have more options, but the fruit was really good. If rice and beans were added to the breakfast menu, that would've been great.

• Bernd (9/5): Zu empfehlen - Der wunderschöne Garten mit zwei sehr hübschen Pools. Frühstück sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Lage sehr gut. Zum Eingang in Cajuita Nationalpark 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Restaurants und Supermarkt ebenfalls zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal könnte freundlicher sein.

Very clean with good shower. Villa 5 recommended for its lovely terrace. Good cocktails. Ability to book tours via the hotel. Breakfast could have been a bit more varied. We’d have preferred more fruit and some natural yogurt and granola.

• Charles (10/5): A special stay in Cahuita - Hotel El Encanto is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are stunning and full of wildlife. They have a family of sloths who live there which is amazing! The pools were great and as you’re soaking up the sun the birds are flying all around you. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend Hotel El Encanto! Nothing!

• Wolfgang (9/5): Sehr nettes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück. Empfehlung! - Das Hotel El Encanto war mit Sicherheit eines der Highlights auf unserer einmonatigen Costa Rica Reise. Der Aufenthalt übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Es liegt zwar nicht direkt am Strand sondern in zweiter Reihe aber das spielt tatsächlich keine Rolle, gibt es in CR sowieso sehr selten. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr nett gestaltet und wirklich gut in Schuss und gepflegt. Das Zimmer war sehr in Ordnung und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Bett war eines der Besten während unserer gesamten Reise. Also am Hotel hat uns tatsächlich alles gefallen, auch die Restaurants in der Umgebung haben uns entsprochen. Leider hat das Wetter nicht mitgespielt, weil sich vor der karibischen Küste ein Tropensturm im Kreis drehte und für täglich Regefälle, Stürme und Kälte gesorgt hat. Gut aber dafür konnte das Hotel nichts!

• Andrea (9/5): Herrlich entspannt und nah am Nationalpark - Das Frühstück war ok, Kaffee und Tee konnte man sich selber nehmen. Ansonsten bekam man einen Obststeller, 2 Scheiben Toastbrot mit Butter und Marmelade. Zusätzlich konnte man sich von der Karte etwas aussuchen z.B. Omeletts, Pancakes und weitere Dinge. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr schön. Besonders schön war, dass wir ein Faultier mit Baby direkt an unserem Bungalow hatten und es auch ziemlich weit nach untern gekommen ist. So konnten wir es richtig gut beobachten. Der Poolbereich ist auch sehr schön. Wir hatten auch immer Liegen, aber es waren auch nicht sonderlich viele. An einem Abend haben wir im Hotelrestaurant Pizza und Burger gegessen, beides hat sehr gut geschmeckt. DIe Lage zum Caluhita-Nationalpark ist gut. wenn ich was nennen muss dann dass das Tor zum Parkplatz nicht per Transponder zu öffnen ist, sondern man muss aussteigen und eine Nummer eingeben, was bei Starkregen nicht so schön ist.

• Balint (10/5): Great accomodation on the Carribian shore - Carefully maintained garden with small pools. Several animals in the garden: slothes, leaping lizzards, tucans, iguanas, crabs etc. Nice sandy beach is 3 minutes walking. Extremely nice staff, full breakfast. We also took a coral teef tour offered by the hotel, it was a great experience. We took a wooden bungallow, the houses are close to each other, which limits a bit privacy, but not really distirbung.

• Robbert Kamp (10/5): - Wat in de omschrijving staat klopt, het is een betoverende omgeving waarbij we alleen al in het resort een gigantische verscheidenheid aan dieren zagen. Verder erg vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten in het restaurant en de cabins waren goed voor elkaar met voorzieningen.
• Felipe (9/5): Recomendado! - La habitación fue muy comoda y se ajustó a nuestras necesidades. El desayuno fue justo lo que se necesitaba para comenzar el dia. Las instalaciones son muy agradables e invitan a quedarse adentro, además de la excelente atención del personal.
• Hartmut (10/5): - Tolles Hotel mit Pool in guter Lage, Nationalpark und Restaurants in Cahuita sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel hat einen schönen, sehr gepflegten Garten, in dem sich nicht nur die Gäste sondern auch zahlreiche Tiere (Leguane, Eidechsen, Frösche, Kolibris) wohlfühlen.

• Alexandra (10/5): - Die Anlage ist in Wirklichkeit noch schöner als auf den Fotos und dennoch familiär und gemütlich. Heimelige Sitz- und Schaukelgelegenheiten in allen Ecken des Gartens laden zum Entspannen ein, und wer beim Zimmer bleiben möchte, kann sich auf der eigenen Terrasse die vorhandene Hängematte spannen. Im Garten findet man vom grünen Giftpfeilfrosch bis zum Faultier mit Baby tolle Tiere. Das Personal ist durchgängig freundlich und zuvorkommend. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.
• Sophie (9/5): Lieu idyllique - Un jardin luxuriant au plus près des animaux. De jolis lodges confortables. Un très bon petit déjeuner à la carte. Proximité à pied de la plage, du village et du parc national. Le restaurant le soir était décevant. Il y avait malheureusement des travaux dans le lodge à côté du nôtre avec des nuisances sonores.

• FredValencia (8/5): - L’hôtel est très agréable, le jardin avec les animaux, la piscine, le personnel, la chambre est spacieuse , le thé gratuit à toute heure, le petit déjeuner est excellent. Les travaux car ils construisent un nouveau bungalow, il n’y a pas d’eau potable dans les chambres mais une fontaine est à disposition à l’accueil, on ne peut pas mettre de papier toilette dans les toilettes, pour un 3 étoiles, pas très cool
• Denise (9/5): Charming, beautiful grounds, magical town just a short walk away! You will not regret staying here! - It was beautiful and so close to town, very walkable to a lot of fun shops, beaches, restaurants and the national park. There were three sloths on the property and lots of lizards and birds. Breakfast was so good with homemade bread, fresh fruit and juice, coffee, and different selections to choose from daily. The only negative I had was the odor in our room - quadruple room with balcony - that smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. It got better throughout our stay and we didn’t notice it by the third night, really. Maybe the room hadn’t been used in a few nights or something. Otherwise, absolutely perfect.

I would definitely come back if I have the opportunity. The front desk lady from the first day was very kind (the whole staff is). We moved to another location today and we're already nostalgic 🫠 The bed could be more comfortable but it's ok

• marc (9/5): De mooiste tropische tuin van Costa Rica - De zwembaden. Het restaurant. De cocktails. De prachtige tropische tuin met al zijn dieren. De ligging was top. Vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Zorgden ook voor de boekingen van snorkeltrip en nationaal park. Parking binnen domein. Geen ijskastje op de kamer.
• Milena (10/5): Perfect place to relax and spot animals! Our best experience in CR - The Hotel location with its paradise garden is just the best. You can spot so many animals directly in the garden of the hotel. The location is perfect for going out and close to Cahuita National Park. We had few meals in the restaurant and the quality was excellent. The Staff is super friendly and helpful. They showed us many of the animals shortly after we arrived. There was a sloth mother with baby on their property. We stayed in this hotel twice and loved it. The only thing we were not very happy about but maybe is a personal preference -the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Maybe the mattress needs an update. But as said maybe it is just us being used to something else.
• Lena (10/5): - Schönes Hotel mit sehr nettem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Ruhig gelegen, und der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Verschiedene Tiere (U.a. Leguan, Faultier) können im Garten beobachtet werden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

• Petra (7/5): War nett - wir kommen aber nicht wieder - Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Der tierreiche Garten (Tukan/Giftfrösche - Achtung bei Kleinkinder) war sehr schön. Der Pool sauber. Es war sehr ruhig in der Nacht. Die Nähe vom Strand/Dorf/Einkaufsmöglichkeiten war top. Das Moskitonetz Die AC. Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer war schlecht. Schimmel im Bad und Kakerlake im Zimmer (und wir reden hier von Kakerlaken mit der Größe zwischen 6 und 10cm). Das war sehr ekelig. Das war der Grund warum wir nicht den Aufenthalt verlängert haben und in ein anders Hotel am Ort umgezogen sind. Die Zimmer sind sehr abgewohnt.

• Pia (10/5): - Super hyggeligt og charmerende hotel med deres egen lille zoo i haven. Vi så 3 dovendyr, grønne frøer og leguaner. Vi nød både poolen og den lille terrasse i bungalowen og ville ønske, at vi havde tilbragt mere tid her end kun 2 nætter. Intet.

Ruhige Lage am Rand von Cahuita, trotzdem nur 5-10 Gehminuten bis zum Zentrum. Leckere Frühstück und sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal Es gab nichts zu meckern
