Guest Reviews
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - Location was a little difficult to find due to love coverage for satellite navigation system Not very well signed as it was not the correct entrance for the actual address given, therefore map direction took us to the actual address not the entrance to the accommodation and difficult to find in dark, also the driveway very steep and sharp to turn into

- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Rosemarie (6/5): Pleasant stay in a spacious self-contained suite. - Lovely location & quiet property envirionment, close to The Patch Store. Enjoyed coffee pod machine, clever height adjustable coffee table, having the two separate bedrooms & ease of access. The gas log fire was a novelty! Oven didn't work. 2nd bedroom wall not sound proof - easily heard conversation from neighbouring suite.
- Mayeth (8/5): Very good -
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rory (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property and accommodating hosts Nothing
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful stay and location. Perfect for a little getaway stay. Our rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean. Loved the gowns and slippers that were provided to us. Close to beautiful restaurants. Everything was fantastic.
- Renata (8/5): Very good - Spacious living and bedrooms, peaceful location The kitchen could have been better equipped with a few more utensils.
- Alan (10/5): Wonderful - Location was great - close to Monbulk and other Dandenong ranges towns. Nothing that comes to mind
- Deborah (9/5): Thank you Tony and Maria for a wonderful stay and being so accomodating to my date change requests. The Cherry Blossoma - Tony and Maria were extremely accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cherry blossom suite on the property. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and the tvs have all the streaming services. The only bad thing was the noise from the connected cottage when occupied but everything else was fantastic.
- Janet (9/5): Peaceful retreat - The location was fantastic to explore the Dandenong Ranges
The peace and tranquillity around accommodation was great
Everything you need for stay
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felicity (10/5): Everything was lovely and hosts were amazing. Very quiet location and only minutes to anywhere local - Location was amazing and breakfast was fresh and delicious.the place was very spacious and clean. Easy instructions on how to use anything in the house. Only a queen size bed for such a large bedroom, shower was also very small for such a big bathroom.
- Liam (9/5): Comfortable, spaceous, peaceful and great value for money. - Easy access, clean, super comfortable and peaceful facilities in a beautiful and convenient location to see the best of the Dandenongs.
The owner was incredibly friendly. Additionally, the neighbourhood was very quite, full of natural beauty. The Patch Local Store just down the road was a fantastic, chilled place to meet the friendly locals, and order excellent coffee and high quality cafe food at an affordable price. Dish cloth was tiny and only one tea towel.
Given we needed to hand wash dishes and wipe benches, among other things, I would recommend providing a larger dish cloth, perhaps made from bamboo material or similar that can be machine washed and re-used. Similarly, an extra tea towel would be appreciated so one can be drying while the other is in use.
Perhaps also suggest to guests to bring essential pantry items for cooking, such as oil, vinegar, sugar, spices, so they are not caught out having to buy just for 2 days when cooking, like we were.
- Lisa (9/5): A cozy and comfortable winter escape in a beautiful setting - Weardale Estate was a lovely getaway for our family of four.
In a peaceful locale near conveniences and the best of the Dandenong Ranges, Cherry Blossom Suite is spacious, clean, cozy and very comfortable.
The kitchen facilities were great, beds were comfy and breakfast was excellent and generous. Our host Tony was very friendly and helpful. There was noise in the second bedroom from the adjoining suite, due to other guests watching TV very late.
- Courtney (7/5): Cute clean warm stay, and bare basics. - Breakfast was lovely, clean place, beautiful fireplace, electric blankets, central heating for the cold winter weekend tea and coffee provided Would have liked milk in fridge, tomato sauce…. board games, kids entertainment, small toys
- Megan (10/5): Fabulous!! -
- Sandra (10/5): This cottage was really beautiful, with well equipped kitchen and the most amazingly scrumptious breakfast! - The facilities were really good.
The proprietors were professional and helpful.
The breakfast was outstanding - have never had such a beautiful breakfast whilst travelling
Such a beautiful location There was a little noise adjoining the second room.
- Jasmin (7/5): Good -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The estate was picturesque and beautifully quiet. The suite itself was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The coffee pods were a nice touch. We arrived to the property late as we went after our wedding, and getting in to the property was easy. The breakfast was to die for (I could eat that bread every single day and never get sick of it. Fresh, fluffy, and delicious). Also Tony was an absolute delight. Very minor things: the floor was swollen in one spot and under the couch hadn't been swept so we had a little surprise when fishing for the remote but honestly, it didn't really matter much or impact our stay
- Warren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (9/5): Highly recommended for a peaceful get away. - It was an enchanting accomodation that lived up to our expectations for a short escape in the Dandenong Rangers. Breakfast was exceptionally good quality danish & fresh sourdough bread with butter & jam, along with yogurt & juices. Delicious. Staff were very friendly and responsive when we had an enquiry. Highly recommended. Very peaceful environment to recharge the batteries. The bathroom could benefit from a refresh and the flooring outside the bathroom felt unstable. I probably noticed this more because I have a mobility issue.
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was a lovely touch and the location was picture perfect.
- Megan (8/5): Very relaxing stay, just what I needed. - The grazing box I ordered was awesome
- Mel (9/5): Superb - Everything was wonderful. 🙂

- Benjamin (10/5): Beautiful relaxing nature house surrounded by pleasant wildlife and an amazing garden. - How relaxing the whole place was. Everything exceeded expectations. Really close to some fantastic walking tracks where you can find kangaroos, lyrebirds and wombats. Felt very at peace here great place to meditate with all the beautiful bird calls.
Had an amazing intro book listing all the great restaurants and cafes close by in the area and a great little history lesson about the property and its owners.
These people know how to look after you. Provided a beautiful nice lite breakfast to start each day! Loved it!! That we didn't book longer.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - The property was lovely. Very accommodating managers. The cottage was exceptional. Had everything we needed, and lots of little touches we didn't expect that made the weekend special. The breakfast was substantial, fresh and delicious! Would definitely stay again. Nothing - everything was perfect!
- Vivienne (10/5): Beautiful accommodation close to Melbourne. Hosts were great. Cabin very comfortable and clean. Breakfast added bonus - Met by the owner Tony who was helpful and delightful. - Nikki (10/5): WE WILL BE BACK! - This place felt like home. Soooo beautiful. We were so taken care of, the hosts we incredible! We got the most beautiful breakfast delivered to our room each morning (on a time that suited us). Nice and quiet, perfect for a nice getaway with the kids. Our rooms were lovely. Was so nice to sit by the fire place and relax. We will be back! Leaving. We wish we could have stayed for longer
- Renata (10/5): Excellent!!!! - I loved everything about my stay! Tony was super nice, brought us an amazing breakfast and it felt like staying at a 5 star hotel. Thank you for having us.
- Diane (10/5): Wonderful, warm and spacious stay with delicious breakfast and close to many great restaurants - Hosts greeted us as we drove in and we're very helpful and specific with directions. The place was gorgeous, homely and easy to warm up for all those cool Kallista nights and mornings. Breakfast was sensational and we loved the fresh bread and pastries each morning. Though it would have been nice to have a real fireplace the gas one meant easy lighting and putting out which meant we could come and go to a warm house easily. The wall in the backroom is the same one as the guest house at the back so unfortunately noise did travel, it would be great to see soundproofing installed to help with this for future guests.
- Julie (10/5): fantastic place that I would highly recommend. we will definitely return. - beautiful location set in a magnificent garden. close to numerous wedding venues, which was the purpose of our visit. kitchen was well appointed. smart tv with streaming services. good internet reception. living area was very spacious as was the main bedroom. 2nd bedroom was also ample and we had it set up as twin beds for our adult children. the fold out sofa bed in the lounge room was also comfortable for my adult daughter. couldn’t really fault the property. there was no en suite for the main bedroom but it didn’t really matter.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
