• Lina (10/5): Excelente servicio - Tuve una experiencia excelente en este hotel. Desde el momento de la llegada, el personal fue muy amable y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar con cualquier solicitud. Las instalaciones estaban impecables, la habitación era cómoda, limpia y muy bien equipada. Además, la ubicación es ideal, lo que facilitó mucho mis desplazamientos. El servicio en general superó mis expectativas, y cada detalle hizo que la estadía fuera realmente agradable. Sin duda, volvería y lo recomiendo totalmente.

• -nicole- (9/5): - The owners were super kind! :) The comunal space was comfy and big, with different sections (hammocks, sofas, tables with chairs). The dorm rooms were a good size. The bottom beds had a privacy curtain. The shower next to the lockers is possibly the best shower I've had in South America in nearly 5 months! Actually hot and great pressure. It was quiet at night, I almost never sleep without earplugs but here I did. Walking distance to everything. Safe. One of the bathrooms didn't lock.

• Alexia (9/5): - Great dorm with comfortable beds and curtains. Hot shower in the bathrooms and lockers available outside the room if needed. Functional kitchen and a nice hanging out area outside. The location is great as well, in a quiet street but close to everything. The place felt a bit « cold » to me as there were not many people and I didn’t feel such a warm welcome, but it was late so it’s understandable. An overall great place if you want a quiet stay!

The kitchen is set up well for cooking, and the area out the back with hammocks was really lovely. Jenny and Elena were great, super helpful and kind. Good location, just a few blocks from the main plaza and pretty quiet at night.

• Aalam (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful - Hostel is located very near to centre of village. The host is very nice and helpful. You can hire the cycle from the hostel and can go till the Fossil Museum and Pozo Azules. Kitchen is available and has all the utensils. Maybe the cost of cycle I hired was little more than I expected.

• Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - This hostel is a gem and I would recommend to all! The beautiful colonial house is super inviting, with a great mix of modern and traditional vibes. But the real highlight is the awesome host, who makes everyone feel at home. They're full of local tips and organize cool activities. Definitely more than just a place to crash – it's an experience! Highly recommend and wild definitely come back! It was perfect no negatives.

The garden to chill out in is nice. The lighting wasn't sufficient in my room. I couldn't see.to pack.my bag in the evening.

• Moritz (10/5): Really comfortable and tranquil stay in villa de leyva - Beautiful and really tidy hostel. Warm showers. Lovely family. Close to everything important from villa de leyva a fan in the 4 bedroom would be nice to allow some air circulation
• Sofia (10/5): Exceptional - A comfortable space with great people and a good environment is the perfect combination. It makes a huge difference when the surroundings feel welcoming and supportive.
• Majai (9/5): Pleasant and peaceful - Nice hostel, smaller, which can be an advantage. It has a nice garden. The owner is extremely friendly. Payment is by cash only. Opposite the hostel is a great little restaurant with excellent home-made food. They have only one toilet with a bathroom (the other one was closed during the entire stay). Which sometimes means a little more waiting.

• Mteny (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed two nights in a private room, and then three nights in the dorm (got stuck due to protests). Both were excellent and very clean. The private room was very comfortable and had lots of space to store my things. The dorm was very spacious, with privacy curtains and good ventilation. The property also has a very nice kitchen and garden. The woman running the property(Aura) was lovely :) I was actually alone in the hostel my entire stay (in part due to the protests, but I think Villa is very quiet during the week anyways). So I can’t say much about the sociability of the hostel.

• Stevan (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect hostel to stay in Villa de Leyva. It's near the main square, walkable from bus station. The hostel itself is really clean. You can use the kitchen as well. Wifi is fast. They also provide bicycle for rental, as well as free towel to use, and soap bar. The hostel also has some lounge to relax, yet at night its quiet (good for resting). The lady owner is one of the nicest person I've ever talked to. I had a great memory here, and wish to comeback again someday.
• Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Near downtown, very comfortable and quiet. Resting area with hamacas. You can use the kitchen for your meals. The kitchen is open at 9AM with free coffee.
• Yuan (9/5): Recommend - owner is very friendly and quick response to questions if any. Close to anywhere since it is a small city. Kitchen is equipped well. WIFI is good. Locker outside room and in the house. Quite good hot water when taking shower. Sometimes need to wait for toilete If more people staying there.

• Giuseppe (4/5): Tiring. - Great location Noise. Noise. Noise. Street noise in the room, but more problematic are the two lovely boys that live on the property. Screams, shouts, riding bikes, even into your room, shouts while you sleep in the garden hammocks, there is nowhere to hide, understandably. Unfortunately, the owners have not realized they cannot now run a hostel, with two three year old boys living there. The guests needs come a distance second to the owner family that live here. Free parenting does not mean ignoring guest needs.

• Lia (9/5): Very nice hostel in the city center - Beautiful hostel with nice common area and garden and patio with hammocks. Fully equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the city center. Good starting point for hiking day trips in the area. Bars and restaurants close by. Weak Wifi signal in the back part of the hostel. Dormitory with window to the street was noisy in the early morning.
• Francis (7/5): Good for a Weekend Stay - The location was excellent and it was comfortable enough for a weekend stay. The check-in process was difficult as there was no front desk. You have to use WhatsApp to communicate with someone.

• Peter (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location very close to the main square. Casa Once Once has a lovely family vibe to it and was a calm and relaxing place to have as our base for a couple of days. Ángela was also kind to recommend a great taxi driver, Cristian, who drove us all the way to Barichara for our next stop. We also saw a hummingbird in the garden on our last morning while having breakfast which was wonderful!

• Leona (10/5): Great hostel in a convenient location - Great hostel close to the main plaza, convenient to all. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy hammocks and social spots to chill and meet people. There were 3 bathrooms that I saw. Lockers available. There was definitely hot water in the showers if the water pressure was turned down (ask if you are having trouble with it). Sound traveled, but it wasn't a big deal to me.

• Evelyn (9/5): Great location - The hostel is at an incredible location, a block away from "Plaza. Mayor" and few blocks from the bus station. It's a family hostel, they are very friendly and welcoming. There's is a kitchen available, a hammock area which I loved and a TV room. I even extended my stay. The shower is no really good, if you open very little you can get a little warmer shower. The beds are very squeaky and a little tough to climb because the steps are very fine which happens to hurt your feet.

It looks more an easy way to make money for them than a passion for hospitality. Common areas are shared with the family, sometimes don't feel much welcome for you to join as they have family or friends around.

• Adam (10/5): Stay here when visiting Villa de Lleyva! - Had a double booking, so upgraded us to a lovely room with a walk in closet and balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and it was great to also have cooking facilities. Great location, just a block from the famous plaza!
