Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): Heerlijke locatie en fijn huis. Goede communicatie met gastheer. - Riant en ruim huis in fantastische setting van wijngaard. Niets

- jeffery (10/5): Awesome and quiet. - It is more remote but in a lovely way. We found it very easy to get an uber although some of the cell service in nearby areas wasn’t great so ensure you can connect to wifi at the place and any restaurant to ensure a pickup. Other than this it was an amazing quiet place. Stocked with eggs, bread, fruit and could purchase their wine with was fabulous. Was not a big issue for us as we knew going into it but only has one bathroom for 3 bedrooms. Just be aware. Very clean and beautiful.
- Mathilde (10/5): Nydelig plass der du får mye for pengene. Anbefales veldig sterkt! - Alt - her får man mye for pengene! Et helt anneks for seg selv med tre soverom, gode senger og gode fasiliteter. Veldig vennlig og hjelpsom vert og nydelig område. Fredelig og stille så man får slappet skikkelig av.
- Grace (10/5): So nice - Super nice house. Co.fortable all around. No real kitchen. Just a burner plate but had everything needed.

- Jurgen (10/5): Very relaxing! Perfect location to experience the best of the Mendoza wine region! - We visited from Phoenix, AZ, USA. It was our first visit to Mendoza, and "Boutique Vinyard & Wine Lodge" exceeded our expectations - the photos and presentation on the booking site were actually very much an understatement! The villa we lived in is the only building for rent on a working smaller winery. The owner (Mariano) lives in Mendoza proper, while Santos (the manager) lives in the only other building on the property, and since Santos is very discreet, we had the winery to ourselves for our 4-night stay (not counting two very chill dogs who like French Fries ... ).
Mariano met us at the winery as agreed on through Whattsapp (which is the de-facto standard for communications in Argentina - make sure you have the app installed on your phone). He's lived and traveled all over the world, and speaks (at least) fluent German and English. We had three different first-rate vintages produced from the winery available to imbibe, for a reasonable price per bottle. You can take walks on the fully-fenced property, or read a book while enjoying Malbec sitting on a deck overlooking a small lake with the Andes as a backdrop, and the stay was so pleasing to the senses that we spent more time on the winery than for hiking in the foothills of the Andes (which was the original plan) :-).
You'll be in the outskirts of Maipu, which is a smaller town about 25 minutes by car from Mendoza, and a lot more low-key and less touristy than the latter (our favorite Empanadas place was EMPACHES Empanadas Artesanales on Padre Vásquez 1, which is a low-key and inexpensive takeout place that beats every fancy restaurant in Mendoza). The surroundings are rural, but you'll be within cycling distance of Maipu (which is a popular local pastime).
- Paulo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dina (10/5): Exceptional - Our best stay in a whole month in Argentina. Beautiful and clean house, everything you can need: wine, olive oil, fruits and fresh bread for breakfast, cards and other games. Small lake with great sunsets. And fantastic host, day of check out I forgot quite a big amount of cash in the house and all it was returned proactive from his side.
Highly recommended.
- Rachel (10/5): Fabulous cottage in peaceful surroundings & helpful and hospitable host - very relaxing and comfortable stay - Great host, always available and very welcoming
We had little gifts to make us feel welcome such as bread, jam & dulce du leche etc
Beds were comfortable, it was spacious and the grounds were pretty with lavender, vineyards and olive trees
Easy to get an uber around WiFi was a little slow
- Donna (9/5): Beautiful property and house - The accommodation was very attractive and the surroundings very nice surrounded by a vineyard and olive trees. There could have been a few more dishes, cutlery etc provided and while there the power went out twice due to electrical activity. The first time it came back automatically, however the second time it was off over night because of a circuit breaker which we could have fixed if we had know. Also the water and hot water were off for awhile.
- Brian (10/5): Absolutely wonderful stay, one of the best we’ve had across all of Argentina! - Exceptional host!
Very comfortable
Wonderful views
Nice breakfast
Beautiful location, quiet
Safe, secure No stove or drying rack
- Evangelos (10/5): Exceptional - Renovated, spacious. Comfortable beds. Little far from center.
- Trevor (10/5): Brilliant stay and the host helped us with everything. - They organised airport transfer and made dinner for us on the first night. It was secluded and quiet. The host provided great recommendations.
- Diana (10/5): Awesome place to stay in the Mendoza area, very good location. Host was very accessible and easy to communicate with. - Beautiful house, great decor, enough food for breakfast (dulce de leche was delicious), nice to have card games. Nothing
- Helene (10/5): My retirement celebration began here and I felt sufficiently spoiled!! - It was super relaxing and had everything that I needed for a comfortable stay. But also was close to many excellent wineries and just outside of Mendoza enough that you didn’t feel isolated. Santos, the caretaker was available anytime we needed him starting me a fire one night. I felt like I was at home. There was fresh bread and cocoa mix so I could have my hot chocolate in the morning since I don’t drink coffee. And the wine was excellent!
- Janet (9/5): Facundo, the owner was extremely helpful and caring. - The house was beautifully decorated in its own private vineyard. It gets very cold at night. The property needs a few more heaters.
- Steffi (10/5): Wonderful host, wonderful home, peaceful surroundings - Facundo was the BEST host! He met us at the property and gave us a warm welcome, showed us around and gave us tips on the best places to visit during our stay. We had plenty of local food in the fridge and some wonderful wines which are from the vineyard itself. Speaking of which, the vineyard and the house are gorgeous, the photos don't do it justice. We were 2 people, but it definitely suits 6, and plenty of room for socialising both indoors and out.
Facundo is very knowledgeable about the area and can put you in touch with the best local vineyards, excursions, restaurants and the shops to buy whatever you need.
Corbata, the dog, lives on the property grounds and is a sweetheart. He won't bother you at all but will play a little with you once he knows you.
For wine tasting, we recommend your first stop as Tempus Alba, only a 7 minute drive from Terranea.
All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back! How short our stay was! Sadly, work calls.
