Flickering light in kitchen. TV remote not working. Info book out of date. Communication very poor with property manager. Overpriced. Address incorrect with Booking.com

- Sonia (4/5): Disappointing - Good location with everything you need for a city stay. The ceiling in the master bathroom was collapsing with water dripping through the ceiling. Tried to contact accommodation and their lack of response tells us that they were aware of the situation and were unconcerned about its impact on our stay. They did not respond to our concerns.

I have never ever written a review of this sort, and it makes me uncomfortable to do - The location of this apartment is the only feature that made this stay bearable. Had we seen other poor reviews prior to booking, we would not have considered this, however we booked prior to others sharing (booked and paid in Jan, poor reviews March & April) AThere was zero support or contact from host, apart from automated booking.com messages, even 72 hours before and also during our stay (9 messages in total ignored).
Not even an emergency would have raised any support.
Additionally, Booking.com customer support team could not make contact with the host.
Automated messages provide mobile number for a contact, however the phone number is disconnected. Internal apartment information had two entirely different contact and referred you to Airbnb via a QR code which took you to an instagram profile that has not been active since 2021.
Key access is via car park access (1 block away), in a very dark & sketchy lane - anyone with mobility issues would have trouble accessing this.
Only one was key available, even after we requested two ahead of our arrival, for the other couple. Had we accidentally misplaced this, we would have had zero support.
The noise from the street is pretty bad, particularly in the front bedroom. Yes it is a main road, however some glazing would help this - which you would expect in a “penthouse”.
Furniture is old and need replacing, for example an internal bar almost protruding through the seat of an armchair, meaning you had to add a lounge cushion to be able to sit on it.
Bathroom exhausts, with no on/off switch, had not been cleaned for months (or years).
Zero vacuuming behind bedsides or along skirting.
Door handles nearly falling off, leaving us no choice but to only partially close doors in fear of being locked in.
Sliding bedroom door completely jammed closed, meaning only access to one bedroom was through bathroom.
Bedroom cupboards full to brim, leaving no space for our clothing to be unpacked or hung up.
TV remote sticky taped together.
Claims to be a penthouse, however it is anything but- not in the top floor and certainly not distinguished, upscale or high end.

Main concern was the grey water/sewage leaking into the ensuite of one the bathrooms making it unusable. All attempts of contacting the hosts went unanswered.
The rest of the unit is dirty and Poorly maintained. Just about anything you can touch is broken. Broken chairs at the dining table. Broken chair in the lounge. Tv remote not working. Doors that don’t close properly.
The address on booking is little Collins but apartment is actually on Collins street. Which was a mild inconvenience also.

We would stay again 😄 It can get loud from the trams/people when you are in the bedroom with the window. No issue if you don't mind wearing ear plugs.
- John (6/5): Loved our short stay, happy with the location and a very clean place to stay. - We loved the location most of all. We loved how there was enough crockery and kettle and a big supply of tea and coffee and basically anything you need in a kitchen was available.
The place was clean and clean linen was great. The location was great BUT very noisy, could not sleep because of the noise from trams and traffic downstairs. The beds were small but comfortable.
The bathrooms need major renovation especially the one with the bathtub, also the toilet in that bathroom had a broken button when flushing the toilet and no full-length mirrors in that room at all.
We did not like the way we had to get to the carpark every time we needed to get to the car, up and down those stairs with luggage and bags was a bit of a struggle.

Complimentary (tasteful) wine bottle. Dated bathroom and kitchen fixtures and tapware, limited hot water supply and single glass windows allowing for nightly city sounds (trams, cars and loud voices).

Toiletries provided were insufficient for our 3 day stay . Wrote multiple times they never bothered to reply back

- Jane (9/5): Perfect Girls Weekend Stay! - My bestie and I had our girls weekend in Melbourne and this was the perfect launching point. With its own parking, it was perfect for me to get to and I felt my car was secure. The views along Collins are lovely and the floor to ceiling windows and little balcony give great access to those views.
Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, comfortable and nicely put together. The wine was a lovely touch too. Lounge furniture is getting a little worn. Adequate, but lets the rest of the apartment down. Still, it’s a very small inconvenience in a great stay overall!

The beds were comfortable and both rooms had their own bathroom/toilet, the master bedroom was spacious with a walk in robe. Kitchen was also well equipped and the bottle of wine on arrival was appreciated. Onsite parking was also appreciated I wouldn't classify the property as a penthouse but as a 2 bedroom apartment. The second bedroom had very little storage space for suitcases and hanging as there was a large mattress crammed in along with a pedestal fan and a vacuum cleaner in the wardrobe The building plumbing is quite loud, more noticable at night as was the lift. Key access was initially a little difficult and it would be lovely to have had 2 sets (if you know you need 2 sets make sure you request in advance of your arrival)

- Tanya (9/5): Location was brilliant and I would definitely recommend this appartment to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Melbou - We flew from interstate for our first visit to Melbourne. Location and price were brilliant. You are only a quick walk or tram ride from all the major city attractions. The apartment was neat and tidy and had all that you needed to be self sufficient. The beds were comfortable and showering facilities were great. Views were amazing. If you want to emerge yourself in the heart of Melbourne this is the place to stay. The only downside for us was the noise. The apartment is not sound proof to the outside noise of the trams and car traffic (horns/sirens). If you are a light sleeper make sure you take your earplugs. There were a few little maintenance things we noticed which reported to the owner which I am sure they have now attended too.
- Sarah (8/5): Great location but a little tired. - Location. 2 bathrooms. Heating. Owners were great to deal with when there was a problem with the wi-fi. Wine was a nice touch. Shower in master bedroom needed more of a screen to stop water splashing out.
Couldn’t get the dryer to work.
Master bedroom had missing light bulb and was in the process of being painted.
For the amount of money we paid i didn’t think this was good enough.
