• Mary (1/5): Most horrible experience during my stay in the UK. Chris was so nasty and disrespectful. - While I tried putting up with the stench in the apartment, no breakfast was provided for all the days 23rd through 29th September 2024, I would not recommend the place to anyone. It's a zero. Booking.com should do better than only waiting for their commissions without doing a proper check on properties put up on their platform. Scent: Upon arrival, the studio had an extremely foul smell. I contacted booking.com and they had nothing meaningful to say but they could only say they would respond to me after 48 hours, meaning for that duration they don't care about what happens to their client after collecting the money. There is only one small window which is above the entry door so it's not very well ventilated. I had to get cleaning supplies to make the place habitable to stay. Bathroom: The plastic piece in the shower that holds the shower head up was broken so I had to hold it while bathing, it was quite frustrating. The sink is tiny and the medicine cabinet sticks out. Be careful while brushing your teeth so you don't hit your head. Most properties provide toiletries. There were none not even hand soap for the bathroom. Wifi: It took about some hours to receive free wifi as the property owner had to bring another wifi over. The free wifi from the property was so slow. Kitchen: There were no cooking utensils for the kitchenette, the kettle was so dirty, no washing or cleaning supplies. No pots, no pans. I could not use anything. Location: It was difficult to locate the apartment which I did not like the location. There isn't much in this area.

• Laura (8/5): Alternative Accommodation suggested by Booking.com - I liked that it had a large wardrobe, kitchenette, and washer. I used the air fryer quite a bit. Wifi:It took about 27 hours to receive free wifi as the property owner had to bring a wifi dongle over from another nearby property. I ended up paying for wifi via a 3rd party for that initial 27 hour duration. The free wifi from the property was slow in comparison to the paid wifi. Kitchen: There are no cooking utensils for the kitchenette, only silverware. I tried very hard not to scratch any of the pots when I was cooking. Be aware the counter space is also minimal in this kitchenette so don't plan any extravagant meals. All pots, no pans. Scent: Upon arrival the studio had an extremely strong fragrance which caused burning in my throat and eyes. There is only one small window which is above the entry door so it's not very well ventilated. I left the window open to try to air it out but it was cold and it didn't seem to help. Only when I went to plug in the wifi dongle on day 2 did I discover a 3 bottle glade type plug in. This amount of fragrance is unnecessary for such a small not well ventilated space. I promptly unplugged it upon discovery. The scent improved quickly after that. Bathroom: The plastic piece in the shower which holds the shower head up was broken so I had to utilize hair ties to secure the shower head in place for bathing. The sink is tiny and the medicine cabinet sticks out. Be careful ducking down while brushing your teeth so you don't hit your head. Most properties provide toiletries. There were none. Not even handsoap for the bathroom. Location: I did not like the location. There isn't much in this area. This piece is more booking.coms fault as I was originally supposed to stay in a luxury hotel in Canary Warf which was about 15 mins from everything i had planned and had tickets for but my reservation on Canary Warf was canceled by the property resulting in this last minute accommodation change. Because of this, there were not many options available within my price range anymore and booking.
