Guest Reviews
Tolles Bettzeug. Nix
- Mathew (10/5): The whole experience was fantastic with amazing communication from the host, thank you - Great sized room, high quality bed linen, lovely touches in the room and bathroom, very clean, great location. Nothing
- ANDREW (10/5): - Great room in a beautiful house. Go to for future London trips Nothing to dislike
- Ian (9/5): - Clean, spacious, well decorated room. Excellent communication. Very good value. Could do with a slip mat in the bath/shower.
- Douglas (9/5): Comfortable stay. Would stay there again. - Exactly as described and true to pictures. Very good hosts who responded quickly to any requests.
- Abbie (10/5): Lovely place, comfortable, friendly, nice location. - Lovely property owner, made sure we had everything we needed and had a nice stay. Bed was very comfortable and had an amazing nights sleep in it. Lovely location, close to food places, train stations and the o2 academy. overall an amazing stay, will be staying there again!!
- Emmanuel (8/5): Our wonderful stay in the green room. - To stay in a traditionally decorated room in a home where our privacy was respected. Complementary Yorkshire tea & biscuits and the cherry on the cake was the bath in our bathroom. The wonderful big windows brought in a lot of light which made it very bright early in the morning. We would have appreciated black out curtains or shutters to reduce the light.
- Sam (9/5): Lovely clean, comfortable room - Very good location. Friendly hosts. Clean & comfortable. Will stay again.
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): Enjoyed stay, would go back to stay there - Accommodating staff, clean and tidy great location More towels would of been great but not a deal breaker there was still 1 each for the both of us
- Conor (10/5): -

- Kellie (10/5): Excellent. Thank you - Thank you so much for being so welcoming when we arrived. We absolutely loved staying in such a lovely room! Close to Brixton Academy. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again :) Nothing. It was great accommodation.
- Morgan (10/5): -
- Sophie read (10/5): - Beautiful room in an even more beautiful house. Owners were so welcoming, funny too 😊 and very helpful in recommending local places to visit and try.
Room was lovely and had everything we needed and duper comfortable bed. Down a quite road
Highly recommend and will definitely be returning next time we visit brixton. Nothing it was absolutely perfect.
- Reynolds (10/5): -
- Charity (10/5): Great weekend in Brixton. Fabulous place to stay. - Perfect location for Brixton and accessing shops plus the O2 academy.
Clean and comfortable.
Good value.
Close to public transport, buses and tube. Nothing.
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect, will stay again. - Friendly hosts. Comfortable bed. Clean room with lovely vintage furnishing. Generous amount of biscuits and tea & coffee in the room.
- Shana (10/5): -
- Fran (10/5): -
- Philippa (10/5): - Lovely comfortable room and friendly owner. I would stay here again!
- Dan (10/5): - Very wholesome and cosy
- Adam (10/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): Nice biscuits 😋 - Lovely room Nothing
- Lee (9/5): everything really good. Not sure if breakfast was available but then wasn't expecting it - The sound of kids playing recorders in the morning. weirdly pleasant
- Zach (9/5): Cosy Hotel, would definitely come back again! - Was very cosy, great aesthetic and decor, generous tea and coffee bits, informative guide on local attractions, fairly well connected and nice location considering it's in Brixton, was also very impressed that the room had travel adaptors in the desk cabinet making it foreigner friendly and bathroom facilities were great.
Highlight was the warm and comfortable bedding. The cat was so cute as well. Could have done with a proper room bin besides the bathroom one. Kettle was a bit leaky and the bed side table being that wobbly is a disaster waiting to happen. But these things are minor and didn't detract from the experience one bit and the cosiness and value for money of the room far outweighed the negatives.
- Fin (9/5): Great stay and location was perfect. - The location was great, a 15 minute walk away from Brixton O2 and plenty of local shops. The room was clean and decorated nicely. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The hosts were welcoming and kind and it was very easy to get in the front door using the code. The bed was a little bit hard but not uncomfortable.
- Didem (10/5): -
- dru (8/5): Comfortable room ideally located for evening at 02 Academy Brixton - Comfortable room in family home. Appreciated lovely bedding and fluffy towels. Nothing!
- George (10/5): - Lovely host and great location
- Neil (9/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Fantastic and comfortable -
- Liz (10/5): Great stay - Comfortable, nicely furnished with a large en-suite bath room Nothing
- Kyle (10/5): Really nice place - Very nice place, the house is lovely, the room is lovely, would defo stay again!
- Sofia (8/5): Overpriced for the level of comfort and facilities. - Good sized room. Good location in Brixton. Very clean. Walkable to plenty of food options. Quiet and residential area. Water bottles given. Tea and coffee facilities. Towels provided. 1. One tiny soap provided for 2 of us. Had to use the hand wash liquid wash to shower.
2. Took a long time to determine which room we were actually given. Intermittent communication.
- alison (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable room. Located a minutes walk from supermarkets and main bus routes.
- Lily (10/5): - Comfy, beautifully decorated room. Informal feel and friendly hosts. Also great location as we were going to a wedding at the Ritzy cinema.
- Robertson (10/5): Lovely accommodation with brilliant transport links. - We loved staying at Trent road. The hosts were lovely, the location was perfect and the room beautifully furnished. We were at a festival at the Crystal Palace Bowl and there were easy buses there and back. Brixton is easily walkable -although plenty of buses if you need them. We got buses to the centre of London as we prefer them to the tube (which we did get now and then as it's very quick) and we got to see lots of places we hadn't been before. We loved Brixton itself-the food, the bars and pubs-the market- all lively and welcoming. I'd never stay in the centre of London again as it's so easy to get to from Brixton. I would definitely stay at Trent road next time too. It was all brilliant!
- Jens (9/5): Back to Brixton!
- Catherine (9/5): Clean, comfy, and homely place in the heart of Brixton with a snug bed, nice bath, and helpful host. - The room was clean and comfy, with a cozy bed and quality bedding. The bathroom was a good size and had a nice bath. The location was right in the center of Brixton, and the host left some helpful local tips and was flexible about check out. The place had a homely feel—perfect for a comfortable stay. The slamming gate from the next-door property was a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker.
- Fernando (7/5): Good - The apartment was comfortable and in a great location, with a Family Mart and luggage lockers conveniently located on the same block. The internet speed was decent (31 Mbps download, 18 Mbps upload). While the elevator could use some cleaning and the toilet felt a bit old, the rest of the apartment was fine. The mattress was very comfortable. The elevator could use some cleaning and the toilet felt a bit old. The pillow could definitely be improved.
- Deborah (10/5): Fabulous accommodation. Great location. - Lovely big bathroom. Great location. Warm welcome on arrival. Quiet. Comfy. Tea, coffee and biscuits and water bottles. Hairdryer. Everything we needed for a fan stay. Can't find fault. No TV i guess but it didn't bother us.
- Gabriela (10/5): -
- Peggy (10/5): - Beautifully furnished room.
Bathroom sparklingly clean. Crisp white linen. Comfortable bed.
Congenial host.
- Eleanor (10/5): Beautiful room in a great location. - Beautiful house and room, nicely decorated. Good size room and bathroom, comfortable bed, plenty of towels, tea/coffee etc, hairdryer. Super clean! Feel very lucky I got to stay there 😀 Nothing!
- Alex (10/5): Our room was perfect for our needs during one night stay. - Homely house lived in by hosts but well setup to offer accommodation. I liked the traditional decor and bedroom furnishings. Bed was big with quality bedding and quilt. The only fault I can think of was the taps were really stiff and dripped. I think if we were staying longer we might have wanted TV in room.
- Anneke (10/5): Wenn London, dann wieder hier!
- Sans (9/5): -
- Jade (10/5): -
- SoledAd (10/5): Super nice stay! I come back - Very nice room and nice details I liked everything
- Richard (10/5): - Great room, great location would definitely stay again
- Leanne (9/5): We had a really pleasant stay at at Trent Rd and the property is a well located for Central Brixton. -
- JULIAN (9/5): Comfy, quiet, friendly - Very comfortable room, quiet night and great location. Staff sorted a key issue promptly and we're happy for us to arrive back late at night
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louella (10/5): Lovely! - Beautiful property, lovely room, comfy bed, and warm, welcoming host. Easy to find and access via public transport.
- Schubert (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect accommodation and great value for money! Cozy and personally decorated. Well located in Brixton, with quick and easy access to central London. Friendly hosts. Highly recommended.
- Molly (7/5): Lovely room but listed as a bed and breakfast but doesn’t serve breakfast. - Very comfy bed and great location Lovely room but listed as a bed and breakfast but doesn’t serve breakfast.
- Amber (10/5): Loved our visit, would stay again. - Gorgeous house with traditional features. Giant fan in the wardrobe perfect for the hot weather but the room was cool anyway. Lovely and clean.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Great location for our visit to Brixton. Short walk to tube. - Lovely Victorian property. We stayed in the Orange Room which was very tastefully decorated with a lovely bathroom.
Great communication from hosts. Everything just right.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristen (10/5): Lovely room within Charlie and Sarah’s home. Able to come and go easily, room lockable. Ensuite lovely - shower over bat - Great location for our needs. Lovely room with ensuite, comfy bed
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect homely stay. Friendly hosts. I travel alone a lot for work and it’s a pleasure to stay somewhere which is easy, cosy, clean and friendly where I feel safe and it’s more of a pleasure than a chore. Thoughtfully decorated and clean room and with everything you could need. Very hot day when I stayed and they had already opened all the windows and set a fan up for me. Would like to stay every week when I am up in London but it looks like it gets very booked up. So I will book it up when ever I can! Nothing.
- Imogen (9/5): An ideal, lovely stay, thank you! - - Clean
-Friendly, relaxed, welcoming owner
- Fancy Room
- Lovely looking place - I wasn’t able to get comfortable on the pillows (partner was, so I’m probably just fussy!)
- No TV in room
- Mcintyre (9/5): Great location, comfy stay and lovely decor! Thanks to the hosts for a great stay. - Really great location. I stayed there after a Brixton Academy gig and it was an easy 15 minute walk back on a main road.
Lovely people run the place (Charlie and Sarah). I had a problem at night and they came and helped me straight away, which was appreciated.
The room had great facilities - tea, coffee, biscuits and plates and cutlery if you wanted to eat in the room (I didn't). Plenty of hot water and good pressure shower.
It was super hot in London when I visited and the owners made sure I had a fan for the night as well.
Room was as shown in the listing. I really recommend and would love to come back next time I'm in London. thanks :) My only tiny criticism was that there wasn't a mirror on the desk to do my make up and hair before going out, but there was one in the bathroom above the sink, so not the end of the world (I just had sore feet after a day in London).
- David (9/5): We enjoyed our stay and would book again - Very clean, all the facilities that we required and good location to access Brixton
- Cray (6/5): Would stay there again - Close to where I was attending a concert Nothing
- Elm123 (10/5): Beautiful characterful room in a great location - We loved our stay here - the room is right in the centre of Brixton around a ten minute walk to the main centre, tube and buses, but it was really quiet.
A spacious room and bathroom, it is decorated beautifully with loads of character and big bright windows. The bed was really soft and comfortable, we had water, tea, coffee, biscuits and some toiletries. It was lovely and clean.
Quick self check-in and some tips left which was helpful. One small comment is that the room was quite bright in the morning so maybe some thicker curtains to black it out.
It was also a hot day so maybe a fan could be helpful
- Lianna (7/5): Happy with my stay 😊 - Perfect location for me, close to local shops and Brixton tube is 10/15min walk Some loud music or tv playing somewhere in the property but stopped before 10pm.
- Sharon (9/5): Hosts were very welcoming, and helpful. Everything was clean and well presented, i enjoyed a good night’s sleep and a l - It was clean and well presented, fresh sheets, towels, tea coffee making facilities, on suite bathroom, modern shower, hair dryer, friendly welcome, quiet overnight. Creaky bed
- Jemma (10/5): Clean, comfy, good location. - The bed was super comfy, the room and bathroom nice and clean. Plus when we came back late after a show, was greeted by the cutest cat outside our room.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (9/5): Superb - Everything was fantastic, host, location, the house itself. Everything they provided in the room, the basics like a kettle, cookies, milk, etc. the big bathroom, nice and comfy beds.
- Stefanie (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy bed; lovely staff and great decor.
- Emma (10/5): Cosy & welcoming en-suite room in Victorian house - Lovely cosy room. The hosts were warm without being intrusive.
If you’re from overseas - this is a typical London Victorian house! Take an eye mask & earplugs if you plan to sleep late
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Great for a night in Brixton
- Tj (8/5): If you are planning to visit Brixton this is a good option - The room was nice and got a big window. bathroom also quite big and fresh. Easy to check in and out. My advice to manager is to change check out to 11am instead of 10am and change the shower head (it was old and full of limescale) in the bathroom. Small things that would make this place even better.
- Jorja (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (10/5): Just a short overnight stay as we were in London for a gig but everything was just as we needed - Beautiful room with a lovely comfy bed.
- Stefy (10/5): Cosy and pleasant guest house - Convenient location and very accessible from Brixton. Quiet street next to shops and food. Gorgeous room, everything was clean and well kept. Hosts made me feel very welcome and I really enjoyed my stay. WiFi was a little unreliable and the bed was very creaky but they are trivial concerns compared to how nice everything else was!
- David (8/5): Enjoyed it. - No breakfast. It was a little pricey for what was offered but it is London however the location was ideal.
- Peter (7/5): . - . .
- Tony (10/5): Very enjoyable stay, would use again. Highly recommended - Very convenient for my visit, with an excellent room and facilities. Very competitively priced too
- Tyler (10/5): We loved our stay in the Green Room and wish we had been there longer. We will certainly be back/recommending to fam - The location is perfect for any events at the O2 Academy or the Electric. We were greeted very kindly by the hosts and there was a very helpful info packet, whether you’re new to the area or returning. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, good temperature and even though it’s just off the main road, very little noise overnight (even on a Friday). It would have been great to have the code for the lockbox with the keys beforehand, as we did need to call the host to obtain this. However, Charlie was very responsive and we got in with no issues.
- Angela (10/5): Excellent all round - A wonderful and welcoming host. Lovely room and bathroom. Close to the hubbub in Brixton. Definitely stay here again
- Amy (9/5): Really great place and would 100% stay again - Absolutely beautiful space and had everything I could of needed Just a little noise from the street but that’s to be expected from such a central location
- Alina (9/5): We enjoyed our stay! - Clean, cosy, warm room, which has all that you might need, including tasty cookies. Friendly and helpful staff.
P. S. Thanks for the extension lead 😀
