• Tan (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Melbourne - This place is exceptional! I loved everything about it. The location was perfect. The upstairs space is huge with your own bedroom, ensuite, walk in robe and lounge room that has a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, tv, couch and large desk. The breakfast options are like eating at a cafe and the coffee is one of the best I’ve ever had! Chris is a wonderful host. He is friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home. • Michelle (10/5): A home away from home - A genuinely welcoming and comforting place to stay - This stay truly felt like a home away from home. The bed and bedding were unbelievably comfortable—better than my own—and the upstairs space was spotless, cosy, and gave me complete privacy. Chris was a wonderful host: friendly, polite, and attentive without ever intruding, which meant a lot as I was travelling alone. His love of cooking shines through in his generous breakfast menu and sharing a relaxed chat in the kitchen in the morning was a lovely way to start the day.
• MOANA (10/5): 最高！！！ - We booked a 4-night, 5-day stay from Japan. Even after we made the reservation, the host continued to send us kind and thoughtful messages. Although we are not very good at English, they communicated with us using a translation app, which made us feel very comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Despite the early mornings, they kindly drove us to the nearest station every day, which helped us travel around smoothly and enjoy our trip. We also mentioned that we wanted to try kangaroo meat, and they kindly prepared and cooked it for us in the morning. The homemade bread made by Chris and the café latte for breakfast were absolutely delicious. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was especially soft and cozy, and we slept really well. The area is surrounded by nature and quiet residential streets, giving it a lovely atmosphere. There is also a supermarket nearby, which made it easy to buy anything we needed. If you’re thinking about where to stay in Melbourne, I would definitely recommend staying here.
• michael (10/5): Just brilliant, perfect in every way. - Everything about this visit was even better than I had expected having read the reviews etc before booking. Chris made me feel at home and that's exactly how it felt even though I was on the other side of the world from where I live. The breakfasts were magnificent and Chris went out of his way to make just what I liked. The coffee was great. The house was very comfortable, I had the whole top floor and there was plenty of room, lots of storage space for clothes etc and a nice sitting area. 2 TVs and a fridge. Aircon and a ceiling fan so it was always nice and cool. Space to park my car. Lovely gardens and seating area. Chris was very friendly and we had lots of chats and a few drinks together and he cooked a fabulous Pork Belly dish for us one night - I provided a local wine from the Yarra Valley. Nothing at all. There was nothing to complain about and everything was just to my liking - except the weather on my last day - it rained! Although the house was in a quiet residential area, it was only a short walk to restaurants and shops and 25 mins walk into Blackburn for more restaurants and a train into Melbourne.

En effet le logement que Chris propose est très spacieux et vraiment confortable. Salon/bureau avec téléviseur, belle chambre avec salle de bain attenante , le tout très propre et bien décorée. Les petits déjeuners préparés par Chris étaient copieux et excellents. Durant tout notre séjour Chris a été très serviable et n’a jamais hésité à nous rendre service ainsi qu’à nous donner de précieux conseils. Autre point non négligeable, Blackburn a une ligne direct en train jusqu’àu centre de Melbourne ce qui évite le casse tête du parking ! Chris est une personne très chaleureuse, attachante et très sympathique qui mérite d’être rencontrée et nous recommandons sans hésiter son logement.

• Thomas (9/5): Overnight stay before heading to the Yarra Valley for a Sunday morning long run. - The bed, had an early night sleep despite the overnight rain, the shower had good hot/cold water pressure and having the room solo upstairs, it felt like home. Chris was also a good communicator as I arrived on property at the scheduled time to give a tour of his upstairs retreat. Nothing.

The best was the personal touch of host Chris who was very responsive, pleasant, and helpful. Would highly recommend Everything was perfect for me. For less mobile people the issue could be climbing a flight of stairs

Oh, and the heater which was already warming up the room on my arrival into the chilly Melbourne winter. The location was perfect for me. With a borrowed car and driving around unfamiliar streets, it was comforting to be just slightly off the busy roads. Everything feels as though you are at your own home, but with the space & privacy of the whole top floor. Can’t fault anything really!

We needed a base in Melbourne from which to access the CBD and also visit friends by car (ideally in the east) and he was willing to accommodate any arrival time as we were arriving from London. The details were taken care of wonderfully - from clean and spacious living and sleeping quarters complete with fridge and large TV, to high-quality brands for toiletries, to a beautifully presented cooked breakfast. On top of that, Chris is very kind and shared his time with us, allowing us to make use of his kitchen and eating dinner with us on our last evening, even kindly allowing me to stay indoors on our final day beyond our approximate departure time after I was not feeling well. He provided a home away from home and we are so grateful! He deserves 11 out of 10 on the ratings! NA - it was a brilliant stay

He is a lovely person and he went out of his way to make my stay an excellent experience. Chris took extra care each morning to provide a superb breakfast. The homemade sourdough was particularly amazing. Blackburn as a suburb was lovely and leafy with easy train access connecting it to the city. I would definitely stay at Chris’ BnB again. • Rachael (10/5): Superb Suburban BnB - A beautiful home shared by Chris in a quiet neighbourhood. The place was clean, comfortable and private. There was a generous work space with fast internet too. The cooked breakfast and coffee were delicious. I was allowed early check in and out without any issues. Secure parking off road.
• Family (10/5): Comfortabel quality accommodation with excellent host. - Chris is an excellent and very friendly and helpful host. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and spacious. The location is calm and convenient for those not focusing on busy inner city but on Melbourne’s green surroundings. His breakfasts are prepared to perfection and to guests wishes, his kindness is legendary and conversation interesting and fun. He makes fantastic coffee and the best poached eggs we ever had. Lots of his produce are homemade. This will become our second home when visiting Australia again.

• Alicia (10/5): Spent my 21st birthday there. - I absolutely loved the nature and atmosphere, Chris did his best to make me as comfortable as possible I spent my 21st birthday there and he made me a lovely dinner to celebrate. He even offered to give me lifts which goes above and beyond. Variety of teas to chose from.. amazing coffee and I was playing his piano on the stormy weather we also played pool together. It was exactly how I pictured my 21st birthday to be spent… relaxing. I don’t actually have any complaints, nothing was broken plenty of towels. if there was an issue Chris was friendly and comfortable to open up and ask for a hand.

Great coffee, relaxing ambiance as well. Place to park the car under cover, great hospitality from the host as well. Very comfortable and peaceful sleeping with separate room to relax in. Highly recommend for anyone who needs to visit the area. Was very comfortable, nothing at fault I could see.
