Guest Reviews
- Natalia (10/5): Paradise - The place is a piece of paradise.
It is comfortable, staff is amazing, food is good.
We had good relaxing time. There is a mandatory me plan, which is expected.
It is written in the description, but it could be included in the price displayed.
- JULIE (10/5): The best! - Everything! This was our second holiday and it was as perfect as the last visit.
Beautiful rooms, amazing food, friendly staff and the stunning house reef.
We are already looking forward to returning next year! Having to go home.
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Ellie (10/5): - This really is a 5* resort. The check in process was so smooth, our room was ready on arrival and luggage delivered from the ferry to our front door! Our air con yurt was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a delightful outdoor hot shower. There are lots of high quality food options to choose and we were really impressed with the Japanese style restaurant. Big thank you to all the staff who were incredibly helpful and always went that extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable. Would highly recommend! When it was time to leave! :(
- Jodie (3/5): - I enquired about transport to the island from the mainland before booking a room, as the big ferry only runs once per day. The resort told me there would definitely be more transport running that day so I booked two rooms for two islands and the ferry. Then the hotel told me that they'd got it wrong and wouldn't provide transport that day, but by then I'd booked the ferry and next resort - it was too late to change my booking so I was stuck and had to stay an extra day on the mainland. I wouldn't have booked two different islands and resorts if I'd known, I would've only gone to one. I was only in Fiji for 6 days and wasted a day on the mainland because of their disorganisation, and paid for a night at this resort that I couldn't use which cost £100+. They didn't offer me a refund. It was a nightmare. Someone else at the resort told me they'd had a similar issue.
- Rachel (10/5): Incredible location, exceptional food and the friendliest team ever - Incredible location on one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Exceptional food, especially the 10 course dinner at the Japanese restaurant. Great activities- really enjoyed yoga, cave tour and sunset tubing. I recommend the budget private rooms to solo travellers, its really easy to make friends without staying in shared dorms. Drinks were expensive
- Naoufal (10/5): Paradise! Pure paradise. It’s the most beautifully tranquil spot on earth - Everything. It’s a special place with special people taking great care of it. We loved the pillows and the mattress it was so comfortable. We will DEFINITELY be returning. The activities are excellent. Can’t recommend enough. Donu restaurant was a little underwhelming for us. We only liked two out of the 10 courses. But it’s by no means awful. Just not for us on that particular night.
- hayley (10/5): -
- Seru (10/5): Everything at Blue lagoon was emasculate. - Everything in general.
From the rooms, the food, the scenery and best of all the beautiful, happy, caring and always smiling staff. I loved everything.
- BjörnMG83 (9/5): -
- Shari (10/5): -
- JULIAN (9/5): -
- Saku (10/5): - Beautiful place, friendly and helpfull staff. Good food.
Had everything we hoped and expected from Fiji. Highly recomended place to stay.
Good and clear communication from costs regarding mandatory mealpackage and optional tours. Slightly expensive but in similar price range with other resorts.
- Rokach (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at Blue Lagoon! A huge thanks to Tia and Nick for being such amazing and warm hosts. They truly - Amazing and clean Nan
- Istvan (10/5): The place just far exceeded my expectations - Actually I didn't want to book here, I just wanted to have their private boat transfer back to Nadi, but they only accepted it if I'm a hotel guest, so I decided to book here. Keep long story short, I can't imagine any better place to complete my Fiji trip, than staying here at Blue lagoon. Great staff, great acitivities, great food - I'm thankful that I could stay here. Note the compulsory meal plan, it's written in fine print. I think 189 FJD / person / day. This was probably the most expensive I paid in FIji. However, don't get confused with 50-80 FJD home stay meal plans. The food here at blue lagoon was something extraordinary. Even breakfast, and regular lunch meals were super, but the 10 course dinner at their Omakase Japanese restaurant, also included the meal plan... I can't find words to explain how excellent it was.
Note there are no restaurants or stores nearby, that's something I didn't understand before I arrived, that's why you have to opt-in for the meal plan.
Oh, I should write here something I didn't like? Sorry I can't remember any :)
- Pauline (9/5): - Resort reef was great. Donu Japanese restaurant world class. The beautiful, friendly and multi talented fijian people made the resort what it is, fabulous.
- Victoire (10/5): This place feels like paradise... - - The staff were incredibly friendly from start to finish.
- Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and the same goes for the other meals. The two restaurants are quite different but both offer very good quality — you definitely won’t go hungry.
- The excursions were great (snorkeling, cave visit, village tour), and there are also plenty of free activities available.
- The beach right in front of the hotel is beautiful, with lots of coral and fish to see.
- The accommodation was clean, as were the shared bathrooms. It’s also very quiet at night. - The arrival felt a bit rushed, and no explanations were given about the hotel amenities. A map or a quick tour of the property would be appreciated.
- There aren’t many sunbeds on the beach, and the beachfront could be better maintained.
- There is some construction currently underway, which could be better concealed.
- Hagenbrant (9/5): -
- fabienne (10/5): sejour paradisiaque -
- Gary (10/5): - Great place in a wonderful bay. Gourmet food in such a remote place was a great surprise. Staff was amazing and facilities were new and clean.
- Lisa (10/5): Had an amazing 4 nights stay in Blue Lagoon. The food is varied and delicious, the staff is lovely and the whole place i - Spacious, clean, amazing views
- Laura (10/5): - Great Resort with great food and activities - it was so relaxing! Thank you for the friendly staff and the beautiful singer who made my trip even more memorable
- Antonio (10/5): -
- Camille (10/5): As good as everyone says with tasty food and amazing staff. - Amazing location and rooms. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Some staff members continuously went above and beyond which made our stay so much easier. Beachside rooms are incredible - loved the outdoor bathrooms - the resort feels intimate and private yet you can meet other people and make friends easily. Nothing!
- Carol (10/5): -
- Vivienne (10/5): - Arriving at Blue Lagoon felt like coming home. The staff were so welcoming and professional, you felt instantly comfortable and at home in the resort.
I chose to write this review after completing our trip across three different islands and resorts, and can say resoundingly that Blue Lagoon exceeded all our expectations and that in hindsight we wish we had just booked our full week there and never left.
There were three key highlights:
1. The staff and the culture at the resort was exceptional. All the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. They all got along with each other, and went out of their way to help all the guests. They were constantly attending to the grounds and the accommodation like clearing away leaves daily and sweeping down porches from sand. It showed, the resort is well kept, tidy and feels loved.
2. Food was high quality and varied with the two restaurants. We tried both the Japanese and beachside restaurants and were blown away by the quality of both. The Japanese 10 course omakase degustation felt like an indulgent night out, while sitting on the beach side we had the best steak of our trip. Coffees are served with breakfast and lunch specials change daily. As much as it might feel frustrating paying a meal charge, Blue Lagoon put the effort in and makes it worth every dollar.
3. Both the free and paid activities varied daily and meant you were never without something to do or see. Swimming and snorkeling were right on the doorstep whenever you wanted as was a big inflatable slide into the ocean which was a delight to get on as an adult. We saw the staff choir, watched sunsets over the beach, participated in a kava ceremony and wished we had joined the night snorkel and cave trip - both of which looked like highlights.
I could go on. If there is any reason I'll come back to Fiji, it will be to come back here. We were incredibly happy with our stay, there was one incorrect charge on our bill at the end of our stay which left us wading through receipts on our last day but the office attendant was very patient and worked with us to resolve the double charges.
- Ramesh (10/5): Perfectly turquoise waters aptly named Blue Lagoon is a great holiday getaway! - Staff at Blue Lagoon went above and beyond to keep guests happy. Being vegetarians, our options for lunch and dinner were limited but the chefs did their best to accommodate special requests and customize the dishes of the day to make it suitable for us. The location and facilities are beyond words. Meal plans for every guest is mandatory and high cost, and the boat trips to/from between Blue Lagoon and mainland Fiji are also extremely expensive. However, the customer service and hospitality are impeccable.
- Kathryn (9/5): -
- Mark (10/5): -
- Nathan (10/5): -
- Flora (7/5): - Blue Lagoon is in a wonderful location around 4.5 hours ferry from Nadi. The resort itself is beautiful, right on the beachfront. You can see some amazing views right from where you eat your breakfast! We unfortunately arrived during the recent cyclone which meant we couldn’t participate in the activities that we had planned, however we were still able to enjoy the full resort once the sun came back out on our final day! There are two pools to lay by as well as loungers on the beachside. The food was great, there is an à la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with options available for all tastes. We also enjoyed a visit to the Japanese restaurant on one evening which is a wonderful omakase experience and we were really impressed that this was included in the meal plan! We had a bungalow with a shared bathroom and it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also cleaned regularly and the showers were good with reliable hot water! The staff in the restaurant were also incredibly friendly. They did their best to keep spirits high whilst everyone was stuck inside due to the cyclone and they even planned a song and cake for my birthday on one of the days. We really appreciated how upbeat and positive they were as it truly shaped our stay. The only negative of our experience here was due to communications from main office staff during our stay. Whilst the restaurant staff were fantastic, we found communication with staff in the main office to be very difficult and simple issues took longer than expected to resolve. Whilst we understand that they likely had an increase in workload due to impact from the cyclone, it often felt as though requests from guests physically at the resort were falling through the cracks. One example (there were a few small instances): we’d proactively reached out prior to our stay to confirm if we needed cash and we were told we only needed a small amount to buy items from the village and that we could otherwise pay by card at the resort (with no mention of a fee). When settling our bill, they told us there was a 3% fee on card. Since we were paying for our entire meal plan (alongside other things), the 3% came to a fairly substantial amount. After discussion, they were kind enough to waive the fee based on the fact that the correspondence we’d received hadn’t been clear. However, we would have appreciated more clarity throughout as it would have contributed to a smoother stay! It’s only really a minor thing overall but it would improve guest experience if small issues were dealt with more efficiently.
- Johnny (7/5): - We really liked the food at the restaurant and found the staff very friendly and welcoming. The kids’ club was excellent and well taken care of, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time.
However, there was an incident where my child was accidentally locked in the bathroom at the kids’ club, which was quite scary, although it was quickly resolved. Some facilities also feel a bit outdated and could use updating. The coral and fish here are beautiful, but the cave has even more stunning coral and clear blue water with large blue starfish. The only downside of the stay for me was the open-air bathroom, which naturally attracted quite a few insects such as ants, geckos, and spiders. As someone not used to this, it felt a bit uncomfortable at times.
Pest control was carried out in the bathroom, but insects would return quite quickly. It also seemed that some toiletries were exposed during spraying, which made them less ideal to use afterwards.
I understand this may be part of the natural environment and may not be an issue for all guests, but personally it did affect my comfort. I actually felt more relaxed spending time outdoors by the beach than inside the room.
- Sonia (10/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): Paradise - Staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you!
- Jane (8/5): -
- Satty (10/5): A fantastic place for a stay - really look forward to visiting again. - What a lovely resort on a fantastic beach We lost some hot water in our shower - but so quickly resolved by the staff
- Shelby (10/5): -
- Abigaëlle (10/5): -
- Hurrell (10/5): - Amazing location, with great facilities.
The service and staff are fantastic, with the standard of food being incredible.
- Aidan (9/5): - Staff were lovely and food was very nice. Lots of activities to do!
- Aurélie (5/5): Great location but overpriced - The location of the property was amazing, Forced meal package which is extremely expensive for what it is over ~200 euros for 2 days per person.
Not very clear about the services which are included or not in the package.
Room not convenient with 5 people sharing 2 rooms but toilets and bathroom in between the 2 rooms.
- Apolline (9/5): Excellent resort with loads of activities and friendly staff - Amazing resort with great facilities, activities and friendly staff. You can just enjoy the beach or keep busy with all the activities they have. Cater for families but also solo travellers Diving was great but there could be more areas for improvement as no real explanation where to dive etc
- Hofmann (8/5): - Alles war super. Leider war Zyklonsaison.
- Lisa (10/5): It was a dream come true! - Friendly staff, clean facilities, beautiful views! I loved all of it
- Sagyra (8/5): -
- Annemarija (10/5): I had a fantastic stay at The Blue Lagoon, and I only wish I had booked more nights! Shoutout to the staff there, especi - Everything Nothing
- Mathilde (10/5): Dreamy island holiday! - We loved everything about our stay, amazing food, amazing staff, great activities. The facilities were cleaned daily!
- Eleanor (10/5): True paradise - incredible resort, staff and food - we can’t wait to stay again! - We had the most incredible stay at Blue Lagoon - everything was exceptional from the accommodation, to the food, to the beach setting and activities - the pictures don’t do it justice! What makes the hotel stand out is the incredible staff - their friendliness and care made our stay extra special! The beach is amazing, crystal clear water and snorkelling just off the shore. Both restaurants are fabulous, really delicious food and great value for money - we loved the Japanese option for both a la carte lunch and omakase dinner. The diving is great, again with amazing staff and instructors - big shout out to Jonny and Anna! We would love to stay again and would highly recommend! Nothing
- Gregory (10/5): -
- Simon (8/5): - Some places don’t quite live up to the photos.
Blue Lagoon does the opposite.
We stayed here for eight days with three kids – and that really says it all. This place works.
The rooms are simple, well maintained, and fully functional. In return, you’re staying right on one of the most beautiful lagoons we’ve experienced. Snorkeling starts straight from the beach and quickly becomes part of everyday life.
The atmosphere is something special. The staff are genuinely warm, and the kids naturally fall into the rhythm – in the pool, in the ocean, and with other families.
The food is good without being over the top, and the days just flow between small adventures and complete relaxation.
Conclusion:
Real Fiji, done right.
And a place where both kids and adults thrive for more than just a couple of days.
- Sinead (8/5): -
- Imogen (9/5): -

- Hamish (8/5): Generally good, food plan on the high side for small meals and limited offering. - Magic location, good reef, nice cleans and tidy facilities and friendly staff Good plan limited and expensive. Was left feeling hungry. Communication was pour.
- John (10/5): Great location with excellent staff team. - Excellent location, Chris and Kylie were excellent hosts along with their friendly staff team. Food was sometimes look warm especially at breakfast time. We had an issue with WiFi in our yurt which they tried to sort but were unable to do so leaving us without WiFi for a couple of days as unable to get replacement part due to adverse weather.
- aimee (10/5): - The property was lovely. The managers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay at blue lagoon and plan to return in the future

- colette (9/5): Gorgeous resort in a Paradise setting - Paradise setting. Super friendly staff, lots of great activities Food was very nice but would have appreciated a 2nd course for lunch

- Carla (10/5): -
- Marina (10/5): An unforgettable experience - Blue Lagoon is much more than a resort. It’s a beautiful and soulful experience. The location is stunning, the facilities are comfortable, and the atmosphere feels authentic and relaxed.
The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They take care of absolutely everything, allowing you to completely switch off and lose all sense of time. The food was outstanding, with every meal thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, both at the main restaurant and at Donu. Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.
- Jamie (10/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic resort, right on the beach. The rooms were brilliant and we loved the outdoor shower.
Great food options and brilliant Donu Japanese restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. There’s nothing not to love.
- Anita (9/5): Loved our stay and would highly recommend.our meal at the Japanese restaurant was outstanding the staff were very frien - Nice layout, rooms were very comfortable. Right by the beach. Could’ve had a few more sun beds
- Miranda (10/5): - Dit overtrof mijn stoutste dromen!

- Stacy (10/5): Perfect paradise - Perfect location and friendly staff. Nothing
- Veronica (8/5): Great for snorkeling - Good food, clean beach, amazing reef in front of the hotel We lost the hotel boat to the hotel because our airplane was delayed multiple times. We had to spend the night in Nadi at our expense and the night we lost at blue lagoon wasn’t reimbursed, not even a discount. Not very kind.
- Grace (6/5): - Beautiful resort, staff were incredible and food was great. Christmas day entertainment was very disappointing and management seemed to pick and choose guests to be friendly to.

- Ashley (10/5): Definitely recommend. Loved it and would return. - Absolutely beautiful lagoon, lots of fish right out the front. Easy swimming location. Resort grounds are stunningly maintained. Staff were all gorgeous, helpful and friendly. Food at Donu was exceptional.
- Shaun (10/5): Stay was fantastic. Loved the food, facilities and staff. - Great location and layout. Nothing.
- Alice (10/5): We loved our stay at Blue Lagoon. We would definitely stay again if we were in the Yasawa Islands. - We loved our start at Blue Lagoon. All the staff were very lovely. The food was delicious. The resort itself was perfect for a 4 day relaxing getaway.
- Mark (10/5): - The staff to a person are amazing, helpful, friendly. The rooms, we stayed in a yurt which was a lovely experience, spacious, air conditioned, many amenities. Two restaurants provided ample delicious variety, we spent a week at BLBR making this a high value. The resort excursions are affordable and fun. We especially enjoyed the sea cave. Great snorkeling right from the beach. Fun hikes for mountain views. And laying on the beach under a coconut tree... what's better? We liked it all. The only thing difficult thing for us was the mandatory food purchase ... not a bad deal especially with all the high quality foods offered. But it was too much, three meals a day, lol, that i felt strangely compelled to eat because, lol, I paid for it. Really not a criticism, it takes a lot to keep good food on an island!
Nichts!

- Katharina (10/5): Paradise with top snorkeling right in front of your door - We loved our beach front villa, all the activities and how kid friendly the property is. They have an amazing kids club and the staff is just so wonderful. We also loved the live acoustic music every night. Nothing it was perfect!
- Christopher (10/5): Worth the journey. - Location and Staff amazing. Every staff member was wonderful, especially Wele from the Japanese restaurant, Tony from the dive shop and Teah from activities (?). These three, in particular, were very exceptional. My kids are picky eaters and spoiled, so I would prefer à la carte pricing, but the existing meal plan structure is understandable.
I too am a picky eater, but the food for me seemed gourmet and delicious. We loved the Japanese restaurant.

- Holly (10/5): Amazing staff, wonderful location, beautiful resort. -
- Yvonne (10/5): The crystal-clear lagoon is perfect for snorkeling—plenty of fish and coral right off the beach. - Staff are warm and welcoming, and the kava ceremony & cave tour were unforgettable. Pure Fijian relaxation at its best! Must go👉 Cave Trip
- Asiya (10/5): Picture perfect beach, the best food & best staff - This is the best resort out of all three we stayed at during our Fiji trip. The resort is located on a beautiful island with a beautiful beach front. The resort has great facilities and amenities whilst offering that island life experience. The food was exceptional we enjoyed both restaurants. I must say Kayla and her staff do such a great job maintaining the resort and accommodating guests. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Fiji. I can’t wait for our next visit.
- Maria Emilia (9/5): Absolutely amazing stay, would recommend to all - couples, friends or families. - My friend and I had an amazing time here, stayed in a lodge for 4 nights over new years. The staff were amazing, facilities were comfortable, a good amount of activities (but not too many to allow for relaxation) and overall incredibly beautiful location!!! The owners were available and very friendly too! Vinaka, hope to return one day! The food package seemed a little high but I suspect it’s linked to how far away the island is. There wasn’t much variety in the meals and I would’ve loved to see snacks available in the afternoon.

- Verbitsky (10/5): Best place ever - The best holidays of my life, nice yurt, beach, amazing pools and restaurants, activities, but the people: UOU ARE AMAZING -
- Johan (10/5): Wonderful in every respect. We will be back. - Staff were outstanding, service was exceptional. Dive staff were fantastic, especially for our 3 x children learning to dive. The food was very good, although portion sizes were actually too large in some cases. Loved both restaurants. We loved the Beach Villa, very spacious, lovely quiet location. Alcohol prices very reasonable. Nothing, we were very happy. I wouldn't change anything!

- Isabelle (9/5): Outstanding resort, very comfortable with yummy food, and genuinely friendly staff - This was the best resort we spent time me in
Food was delicious, at both restaurants
Staff genuinely friendly and excellent customer service
Room really comfortable with AC!
The 2 swimming pools were great, the snorkelling was fantastic too A clothline and 2 chairs in the rooms would be great, but that’s being picky
