• Samuel (5/5): The host is dishonest. - This place is in a great location off the track but still a 5 min walk to restaurants. There is a beach our front which is home to about 150 seals and sea lions which come there at night. I don't know that we would have seen them if we wouldn't have stayed here. Our flight to San Crisbol was turned around just as we were about to land so we go there the follwoing day. I messaged the host about it when it happened and there was no answer. I called him later and he said it was no problem and we wouldn't be charged for the night. When we arrived he seemed friendly and said they were just getting the room ready and checkin was at 4 pm. Since we weren't going to pay for the room I thought that was fair. We had arrived at 10 am and went into the town to see if we could find a tour to Espanola since we had missed it coming in late. We got back around 2 or 3 pm and he said the room we had booked was being used by another person so we had to stay in a bedroom with two full beds instead of a King. The host seemed to be dishonest with many things including saying he would book taxis or help us book a tour but seeimingly do nothing. At the end he tried to charge for the missed night even though he had booked it with somemone else. He is dishonest.
• Birgit (10/5): Rundum Wohlgefühl - Tolle, gemütliche familiäre Unterkunft. Das man sich ein Badezimmer teilt ist nicht schlimm. Tolles Frühstück im nahegelegenen Restaurant. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer. Immer wieder gerne … Es gibt nichts auszusetzen

• Susan (10/5): This was a special place and an amazing location , very safe and very warm welcome - The location was amazing right across from the waterfront and beach with the basking sea lions. The place was very lovely, clean and homely. The bedroom was spacious, great air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. The owners were very welcoming and kind to help with advice and to help with trip travel. The breakfast was perfect , from their beautiful restaurant also on the beach front and a 5min walk away. Sometimes the water was scarce but I think it was an Island issue. I could work round it.The toilet has a special flush system but easy to follow as the owner explains all.
• Claudia (8/5): - Die Lage ist einmalig. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und blitzsauber. Wir konnten das Hsus vor Check In Zeit beziehen. Kreditkartenzahlung war problematisch. Der Besitzer hat in allen möglichen Varianten auf Cash Zahlung gedrungen. Am Ende haben wir doch mit Karte bezahlt, aber nur über das Caffee. Das Ganze hat mehr als eine Stunde gedauert. Es gab keinen Kaffee. Erst war die Aussage gibt es nicht. Dann hat der nette Vater der Besitzerin einen Instant Kaffee vorbei gebracht. Weil wir früh zum Schiff mussten bekamen wir für das Frühstück drei trockene Brote mit Käse und Schinken, sowie ein Tetrapack Fruchtsaft und zwei unreife Äpfel am vorabend vom netten Vater vorbeigebracht.
• Jason (10/5): Ale and her family were so kind and accommodating.providing us breakfast, help with taxis, and suggesting activities. - Amazing location, directly in front or the beach/marina! Short 5 minute walk to Main Street, restaurants, and the pier. Large home, great for our family of six, comfortable beds and amenities. Nothing, perfect property.
• Jamie (8/5): A wonderful few days on San Cristobal - So, this is a great little guest house and you feel like you're part of the neighborhood, including the seal lion hood (which we really enjoyed). The first few days we were by ourselves and then we were joined by another family also traveling the Galapagos. It has a well appointed kitchen, and provides drinking water, which is a huge bonus. The beds were very comfortable and the AC is cold. We would stay here again, the location couldn't be beat. The house was clean, well dusted, smelled wonderful, but the floor could use a good mopping. We helped ourselves to fresh towels after the third day at the house, and the sheets were not changed for the 5 nights we stayed, again, no big deal for us, just an item to note. Take care with sugar ants, which are common in a lot of regions, by putting food away and cleaning crumbs off the counter.
• Borneman (10/5): We had a great stay at Mare Mio and I hope to return in the future - Alejandra was a wonderful host with great local recommendations of things to do and where to go. The house was beautiful and located right on the waterfront for excellent views of the beach, sun, and sea lions. The room had A/C and the beds were so comfortable! It is also very walkable from town.
• Malgorzata (7/5): Overall the stay was pleasant - We liked the closeness to main malecón in town. The fact that it is a single home with rooms to rent. The use of the shared bathroom, the lack of water pressure even to flush the toilet properly, which can be embarrassing when you share the bathroom. I do understand that we were on the islands and I do understand the water conservation but when you put up your house for rent you need to provide the service.

• Olivia (10/5): Wonderful stay in beautiful guest house, great location! - Romina met us when we got off the ferry and guided us the short walk to the guest house. She had fantastic recommendations. The guest house is adorable and we felt right at home. There was filtered water and a clothes washer available. It is right across the street from the beach full of sea lions! We felt very safe and highly recommend Mare Mío!

Watching the turquoise waters every day from the dining room and the sea lions (60+) and one that hung out on the front porch under the hammock was the best greeter! The house was clean and fully stocked with water we needed. The washer was excellent. Look forward to staying again. The family was so sweet and kind!! That I didn't get to stay longer!
• Ilan (8/5): Very good - The owners are very nice people and try to help you asap in any problem you have. The hostel is comfortable, cozy and clean and is located in a quiet place but very close to the city center. bad wifi but i think it is a general problem in the island.
• Arash (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice location. Also Alejandra and her mom both were very kind. I felt at home. I needed some help with my flight and they actually used their local network and helped me to resolve it. Totally recommend this place. :)
