Guest Reviews
- Neil (9/5): Fabulous - Lots of charm; light filled; comfortable; good facilities; great location; quiet Bed sheets not great… well worn poly cotton
- Chantelle (10/5): -
- Cameron (7/5): -
- Jocelyn (10/5): Fantastic. Great price. Convenient location - Great location. Had everything I needed for a short stay. Not super clean and bed linen a bit dated and worn but that did not impact the overall experience.
- Teresa (9/5): - Loved the location and charm. Nicely decorated and nice to have a courtyard.
- Peter (9/5): - Cute cottage in a good location. Short walk to Oxford st so lots of busses and restaurants etc. Quiet at night and super comfy bed. Cat or possum running over the roof at night gave us a bit of fright 😱
- Garry (10/5): Cosy Cottage . - We were very happy with this little cottage style accommodation , very clean well appointed air-conditioning was great as it was a hot and muggy 3 days outside , very convenient location to Paddington shops and bus stops , we will try to book here again next time visiting our family only 500 mtr walk away . There was nothing we didn't like just had to be mindful of the 30cm step in the middle of the room .
- Deb (9/5): Lovely quiet location - away from the bustle of the city, but close enough to travel to and fro. -
- Josephine (9/5): - The cosy comfort and location
- Gillian (9/5): -
- Jessica (7/5): Light, airy, spacious, quiet cottage in central Paddington - Tea bags and instant coffee or coffee bags and milk would have been good. Also, sweetener.
- Kasom (9/5): -
- Melissa (9/5): Cosy, nicely styled, comfortabe, in the BEST location - Just off Oxford st and Glenmore rd, this tiny, lovely cottage is in the most brilliant location. Although we had our car, (which is tricky), we were lucky to find a park with no time restrictions in Young st around the corner, so we alked everywhere in Paddington and nearby . There are beautiful cafes, bookshops, pubs, beautiful clothing all within minutes. The bed is super comfy, the big couch is super comfy, nice lamps for soft lighting, it was a perfect base for two nights. The weather was so wet and windy, but inside was so cosy. We were lucky to find parking, nearby, because of the heavy rain, it would not have been convenient having to move car every 2 hours. Probably better without a car, the bus is 1 minute away
- Dave (7/5): Good -
- Haidee (8/5): Very good -
- Seamus (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage in excellent location.
- Rex (8/5): Very relaxing on the whole - no one can account for storm force winds! - Very tidy and beautifully decorated. We had unusually strong winds during our stay and the tree outside the walk in shower banged against the glass roof. This did disturb us at night and I would recommend having the branch pruned before it does serious damage to the glass roof.
- Dev (1/5): Bad, do not stay here. Booking.com have been informed that the host needs to improve the property. - Location There were bugs everywhere. We paid for 6 nights, and we had to check out after 3 nights, because there were spiders crawling all over our bed. Small spiders were coming down from the roof, and landing on our bed at 10pm at night, and they were all over the floor. The insulation on the windows and doors need to be improved to prevent these bugs from entering the property. After reading previous reviews, about this same problem, we realised that we should have read the reviews in more detail before booking this place. The host was not helpful in rectifying the issue.
- Johanna (9/5): Superb - "A beautifully decorated and cozy apartment in a fantastic location! It was easy to feel comfortable here. From previous reviews, we were aware of a previous pest issue caused by less considerate guests. The situation has been professionally addressed, and any insects entering the house are effectively dealt with by the applied treatment. During our stay, we encountered a few isolated incidents with dead insects on three out of six mornings.
We discussed the matter with Tyson, the host, who was very courteous and understanding. He even offered us the option to check out with a refund for the remaining nights. Reassured by the proactive measures in place, we decided to stay. The apartment itself is very welcoming and comfortable, and this issue should not be a concern in the future."
- Lucie (2/5): Very poor - Great location We stayed 7 nights in the appartment and found 5 to 6 cockroaches per nights everywhere even in the kitchen's closet so we could't cook!
It seemed like the place hasn't been cleaned before we arrived, the kitchen tools were dirty and the towels had yellowish stains on it.
The place was charming but unfortunately we could't enjoy it, always looking everywhere which was not relaxing at all.
I think cockroaches are totally part of the decoration, and it should be written in the appartment description!
- Ryann (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (3/5): Disappointed - Location Cockroaches
Flies
Slugs in shower
Poor quality bed linen
Small bath towels
Dirty kitchen cloths
- Pip (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay. - Great little cottage in a perfect location. It was clean and very comfortable. Nothing
- Riley (10/5): it was excellent, comfy and a great place to stay for out short trip - i liked the romantic atmosphere i didn’t like the cockroaches
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Great spot, great little studio apartment in a quite street, would recommend
- Fiona (9/5): A lovely stay in Paddington - Central location in Paddington. Comfortable accommodation with great amenities The quality of the bed linen & towels could be higher quality given the cost of accommodation
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, great use of the space, the cottage was really nice and cosy. Would definitely stay again!
- Simone (5/5): Passable - Location is fantastic Towels and linen were not up to the standard expected. Towels especially, very poor quality and tiny.
- Georgia (10/5): Stunning cottage in the perfect location! - The cottage exceeded our expectations. The perfect spot to stay and the location is amazing. It is just around the corner from Oxford street which has some beautiful shops and boutiques.
We loved the aesthetic interior inside, so cosy and cute.
Would definitely stay again ☺️ There was a cockroach in the cottage.
- Shayne (9/5): Great host - Lots of light
- James (9/5): Superb - Character cottage loved the location All good
- Aileen (8/5): It was a great little base and secure to be able to leave my things whilst I went travelling. - The location was perfect for proximity to my friends in Paddington and for Oxford Street shopping etc.
It was a quiet spot, in the main, and had everything I needed to be able to live comfortably and I assume had been treated for "wildlife" as all three cockroaches I found were dead and there were very few mosquitoes!
And I resuscitated the dying succulent on the patio table...which I was pleased to do. It took me some time to find the refrigerator in the wardrobe and its presence there made for very restrictive hanging space. Said refrigerator's ice box was so severely iced up and lacking a door that it was unusable which is a shame as all other kitchen equipment was good.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Rod (7/5): Good - Great area. Wrong pin
- Jessica (4/5): Compliments and Cautionary Notes - This is a stunning little cottage. Airy and light, with French windows which open from the bedroom into the paved garden, with space for two and a table. The garden is delightful. It's completely silent. No traffic or neighbour noise. You are a short walk from a very good Paddington supermarket and some of Sydney's greatest rooftop pubs. There is an aromatherapy burner, lavender oil and matches - large sizes of shampoo and conditioner - tons of cleaning equipment. And yet... The security code for the lock box, containing the key, was neither emailed nor sent by text. It was on the Booking.com website, which was not working. I was considering booking a hotel for the night as a last resort then thankfully a friend managed to gain access. Then the lock box itself was not working smoothly. I had to ask for help to get it open, all the time in the dark. I strongly recommend you bring a torch, it took two of us ten minutes of fiddling, both on arrival and departure. There is no recycling bin inside. No instant coffee, no sweetener, no grater. No dishwasher, no long-handled brush for washing up. All of this I had to buy from the supermarket. So there's a big cautionary note with this place.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very enjoyable. Would stay again. Lovely neighbour with his dogs. - No breakfast. Just tea and coffee. No sugar available. Parking a nightmare A larger TV. would be good. No bedside lamps.
- Christopher (7/5): Good - Great location Servicing , not provided during two week stay
- Joshua (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend. - Fantastic little apartment and well located.
- Alison (9/5): great position in Paddington - near to all restaurants cafes shops and amenities - very comfortable light and airy and clean. n/a
