Great location, the beach is just at the end of the road. Super cute touches with beach towels and the welcome basket was very lovely! It looks fab too! We enjoyed our short stay. Thank you Ros for the wonderful hospitality! The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the noise carried through the rooms. We worried our baby would have woken everyone in the night as we could hear other people in their rooms. Other than that it’s a lovely motel and perfect if you need a place to stay close to the airport!

The motel was quiet, comfy, close to the airport, good tv setup with all apps (necessary for travel with teenagers). Perfect for an airport stay.

- Linda Orchard (9/5): The Wedding Holidays Final Day - 6 minute walk to Coolangatta Airport. 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach that wasn't overcrowded. Breakfast and milk on arrival. Air conditioned. Comfortable beds. Cute exterior. Roadside parking limitations during the hours of 9am to 4pm, not super annoying if you don't have a car or are gone for most of the day.

- Rick Woodward (9/5): Lovely small motel with a big welcome - Just occasionally you stumble across a hotel which is so delightful that you wish you had spent longer there. The La costa motel is a beautifully restored 1950’s building with Immaculate paintwork, sparkling cleanliness and a very warm and personal welcome from the owner. Our room (2) had a comfortable double bed a wardrobe for clothes, a small bathroom with a shower and a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, and microwave. Outside was a patio area with chairs and tables. However, there was no space for a desk to work at with my computer. There were also beach towels and a passable wi-fi. Car parking was on the street outside. The motel was only three minutes away from the beach which was beautiful, but full of quite dangerous crashing surf that made swimming almost impossible. We loved this place and would thoroughly recommend it!

Clearly the expectation is that is used for nothing more than instant noodles. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen. Nowhere on the teeny, tiny basin to put even a toothbrush. Walls as thin as paper. We could hear the conversation from the next room.

Loved the clean and today room and complimentary treats, immaculate gardens and outside seating and the use of a bike was brilliant to explore the surrounds. I was five minutes from the airport which was handy! Nothing, it was fantastic!
- Lewis (10/5): - The breakfast hamper was wonderful. Easy late check in process and easy check out. Easy walk from airport. We were only there for a few hours, just overnight after a late check in until heading to our destination the next morning but it was lovely.
- Julianna (8/5): A very nice place to stay while waiting for air connections to Queensland islands. - The small outdoor area with seating in front of each room is charming. The fresh milk in the fridge was very welcome. Bus no 700 was a big help getting back after a walk for food at Kirra and it only costs 50 cents. Walk from airport was longer than I expected but would have been easier with less luggage or less heat. Beach is unpatrolled so unless you're a strong swimmer may be better to take a nice walk a bit further to Kirra. You'll need to go there for food options anyway as there isn't much in the immediate vicinity.

- Kat (8/5): Quiet location, biking to everything from here was so nice! - Access to free bikes and boogie boards, only a 5 minute ride away from Kirra Beach shops, and 1 minute away from the surf club. 15 minute walk to the airport was super handy for our return trip to NZ. Would've been great to have a toastie machine or so sort of element and pans to make our own food. Microwave and toaster were handy though.

I enjoyed reading the printed material in the room to learn about the hotel and the area. The hosts are welcoming and amazing. The special breakfast is very convenient as you can eat it way before cafes are open. This would be a great place for a short vacation for young single travelers or couples. Some parts that may bother people come with the building being historical. The walls are a bit thin so if a neighbor is playing music or watching TV late at night, you may need earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. The bathroom is also very small so may not be great for someone needing more room.

- Lyndall (8/5): A charming retro style stay by the beach - I love the 50s style ‘beach shack’ atmosphere. Breakfast items are also included in the room and I really liked the cane basket with beach towels provided. Rooms 4 and 5 have the living quarters above them so some noise from above is a bit annoying if you are a light sleeper - especially early morning.
