• Houria (10/5): Très beau homestay et bien situé - Nous n'avons pas directement rencontré Van mais l'échange par messagerie était très fluide. Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour ce Homestay très agréable. Nous avions une grande chambre moderne et bien décorée. Situé à 15/20 mins à pied du Vieux Hanoi en passant par des endroits très charmants. Nous recommandons sans hésitation ! Nous n'avons pas voulu utiliser la bagagerie car il aurait fallu laisser les bagages à l'entrée sans surveillance (avec un code d'entrée commun pour les voyageurs).
• Sergey (10/5): - Великолепно! Самый гостеприимный и уютный отель во Вьетнаме с чудесным хозяином! Из-за отложенного рейса пришлось искать жилье вблизи аэропорта и, к счастью, выбрали Chez Van. Хозяин напоил нас прохладным чаем с дороги и предложил отдохнуть на уютном диване первого этажа отеля, пока нашу комнату проверят. Также он уточнил, нужна ли нам помощь с продуктами на ужин, мы отказались, так как у нас была еда на вечер (голодными не останетесь). Сам номер небольшой, но очень уютный в стиле прованс. Бесплатная вода, мягкое чистое постельное белье, полотенца, полная тишина ночью, восхитительные виды заката над полями и горами с общего балкончика, где можно отдохнуть в удобных креслах. Так как отель находится вдали от аэропорта, самолётов не было слышно. Вечером хозяин отеля предложил нам купить у него пиво (по нормальной цене), что было очень удобно, т.к. не пришлось идти в магазин. На утро хозяин отеля предложил нам бесплатные велосипеды, чтобы осмотреть местные достопримечательности. Очень понравилось! После прогулки нам предложили прохладную воду и трансфер до аэропорта на машине хозяина отеля. Настолько понравилось, что, если бы не было купленных билетов, мы бы остались в этом отеле ещё на недельку. Если поедем во Вьетнам, то обязательно приедем сюда ещё раз! Спасибо!

I know this is out of the owner's control, but there is constant noise from the construction opposite the homestay. Even past 10 PM there are loud noises from the construction.

• tran (7/5): - Địa điểm yên tĩnh và căn phòng nhìn ra 1 khu vườn xưa cũ rất bình an. Chỉ có vòi sen trên trần nên khi tắm sẽ ướt đầu, đặc biệt khi tắm khuya khá bất tiện. Phòng hơi nhỏ và toilet sát giường nên không khí khá ẩm và thiếu dép đi trong phòng. Tôi nghĩ chủ nhân muốn gợi cho khách cảm giác sống ở Hà Nội những năm xưa cũ nên cảm nhận sự chăm chút trong cách bài trí nội thất, tuy nhiên cũng có những bất tiện nho nhỏ cần cải thiện, nhưng dù sao thì tôi cũng ngon giấc suốt cả đêm👍

• Edward (9/5): - Really cute little house with rooms that feel quite western in design. In a really cool part of town that most tourists miss out on. There was construction going on while I was there, started about 8am in the morning and was quite loud. I was there just one day though. Hard to say how long the said construction would continue for into the future. I guess if you’re out and about it wouldn’t really affect you.

• Sarah (10/5): Un des meilleurs logements de notre séjour au Vietnam - Un des meilleurs logements au Vietnam. Emplacement calme (même s'il y avait des travaux à côté durant notre séjour). Tout est bien organisé avec système de clé à récupérer à l'entrée. Un prix défiant toute concurrence, vu le confort de la chambre. Je recommande vivement ce lieu.

• Quyen (8/5): Good place but can be improved. - Nice, organized owner. Good hot water and aircon. Needs in-room safe box and HEPA dusk filter. Long-term construction is next door. Besides the noises on day time, dusk particles can infiltrate into the rooms, which can cause health hazards.

• daniel (9/5): - We stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful room with a nice and big bed and there are always hot water. You can fill your water bottles which is nice. We had a problem with our first room and they changed our room very quickly. Great service!! It is located at the end of an alley. There are parts of the street with bad lighting. So it wasn't so comfortable to come back late at night. But there are always people walking in the big street next to the alley.

• William (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect. Photos were accurate, super convenient, clean and well designed. Nothing really! We did struggle a tiny bit to find the property, and figuring out the lock for the room handle took a minute. But that might be me being slow :)

• Sitabai (9/5): Quiet, Nice clean space, Good sized room, very helpful owner - This is in the "French Quarter" and that is a different vibe than the overly crowded and wild Old Quarter. I liked that when evening rolled around this neighborhood went to sleep and it was more quiet than my rural residence out in the country before coming to Hanoi. The room is a good size and I really liked that I could heat some water and sit at a proper desk if I wanted to with my laptop. It felt supportive to my needs and a fair bit less expensive than staying in the Old Quarter (though I had to call a Grab car or bike and take a 10-minute ride into and out of the central area - so choose what fits your needs...you can walk it, but it's about 30 minutes). They provide filtered water, which is nice. It's down a quiet side street that you'll have to walk - cars can't come to the front door. The space has a cookstove and a few pans and plates, but no chopsticks or silverware or a proper coffee cup to make a cup of tea (I carry tea in my baggage). It would be nice if certain maintenance things were attended to - like doors that stick and are difficult to open, but they don't really diminish the value or comfort of the stay. You have to walk down the side street to get to this place (thus the quiet location) and while that's not terrible it made it hard to set up a Grab food delivery!

• Steve (10/5): A wonderful, comfortable stay - Incredibly friendly host who whilst not present provided information via WhatsApp and meticulously checked to see if everything was fine. The ground floor was lovely with beautiful furniture/seating; the bedroom was well maintained and extremely comfortable. A real characterful place and had an authentic Vietnamese home feeling to it. Nothing.

Only downside is: the bathroom has glass walls, it has a curtain but people from the construction side can watch you sitting on the toilet and shower, because the curtain doesn’t cover the sides

Room was a tad small (I think it’s the smallest they have), but even so was PERFECTLY ok. Great bed, good shower. I’d return without hesitation. Lovely owner. Nothing.

Tôi là Genius cấp 3 đã đi đủ nhiều để thấy rằng đây là sự lừa dối trắng trợn. Điều kinh khủng nhất là sự bẩn thỉu. Ngay khi mở cửa, một mùi ẩm mốc và hôi thối xộc thẳng vào mũi. Rác rưởi, tóc vẫn còn lại trong phòng và tôi chắc rằng họ đã không dọn phòng, mùi chăn và gối thật ghê tởm Hình ảnh trên mạng hoàn toàn là một sự tô vẽ. Thực tế là một căn nhà cũ nát trong một con hẻm rất nhỏ. Phòng ốc xuống cấp và cũ kỹ, Thái độ phục vụ bằng không: Nhân viên không có một chút thái độ nào gọi là dịch vụ khách hàng. Họ chỉ quan tâm đến việc nhận đủ tiền phòng. Mọi vấn đề khác đều bị phớt lờ. Hãy tin tôi và TRÁNH XA nơi này nếu bạn không muốn phá hỏng chuyến đi của mình. ---- serious warning to fellow travelers: please read this before you even consider booking here. As an experienced traveler (Genius Level 3), I can confidently say this place is a complete fraud. The most shocking issue was the absolute lack of cleanliness. An overwhelming musty and foul odor greeted me the second I opened the door. There was garbage and hair still in the room, and I'm positive it had not been cleaned. The smell coming from the bedding was nauseating The photos online are pure fiction. In reality, it's a dilapidated building in a very narrow alley. The room itself was old and in poor condition. The staff's attitude was appalling. Their one and only priority was to get the payment. They showed zero interest in any other concerns. The place is extremely insecure as there is no staff present on-site; it felt like anyone could enter the building. The soundproofing is also terrible. Fake Reviews: I am certain that the good reviews you see are fake.

• Phuoc (9/5): A very comfortable room with good surroundings. - The room and shared facilities are very clean and comfortable. Everything works as advertised. Having a free water dispenser is really nice. The owner responds very quickly and the staff is also very kind. There are also a lot of eateries and cafes in walking distance. It can be a bit loud if the neighboring rooms are noisy and the bathroom design (glass door and positioning) makes privacy a bit difficult when traveling with a partner.
• Priyanka (10/5): Best stay in town - The best property that I stayed in throughout my travel plan, I saved the best for the last and I am glad I did so. The owners were not in the house at the moment I checked in but they thoughtfully planned out every detail to assure I walk in without any trouble. There were people living in other rooms to but nobody was intrusive or loud. The place was neat and very well organised. There was a stove, dishes, refrigerator, study table, TV along with all the basic amenities. It was only a bike ride away from all the important spots in the city. The owner was well connected to me throughout the time and addressed all my concerns just a message away. N/A

Lotus room lacks illumination and privacy while using the toilet 😅 you can see all your partners business and there is some smell like moisture. But you get what you see on the photos and I would definitely stay again on the other rooms.

When we’ve arrived there was only cold water in the shower, we had to wait more than 30 minutes and there were still not enough warm water for 2 persons. There were problems with opening of entrance door and noise of people trying to unlocking it in the night. (It was solved very fast). Tiny walls, can hear everything. The room smells of humidity, but it’s quiet often in Vietnam.

• Oscar (10/5): Just book it, you wont be disappointed! - Stunning interior design, comfortable, clean and 10/10 hosts who catered to our every need without hesitation. We plan to stay here when we return to Hanoi. We stayed in a handful of different places and this was definitely our favourite by far. Lovely neighbourhood too. Lots of locals and surrounded authentic Vietnam life yet an easy, short walk to the touristy old quarter if thats what you fancy. Easy five stars agreed between myself and girlfriend. We cant wait to return!

• Aeriel (8/5): Overall nice choice for a short stay - The room is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Heating worked well in winter. Walking distance to good places. Bed is comfortable. I really appreciated the free filtered water. The host is really friendly and communicative. Good pricing for the value. This is not the host’s fault and they cannot control it, but if you are noise sensitive, please be aware that there’s an extremely loud construction project right next door that begins early every morning. When the project is completed, I think it’s otherwise a very quiet side street. Maybe bring ear plugs. Wifi also didn’t work that well. Overall, I think it’s good choice for a short stay but not for long term considering the noise.

• Samata (10/5): Most comfortable place to stay in Hanoi - This place was incredible. The owner's coordinating while not even being in the city was too impressive. She has small boxes outside the gate with passcodes where she kept keys for us since we were reaching very late at night. Closer to the date, she told us all the details about how to take the keys, drinking water, pantry, laundry services etc. She even let us keep our bags in the common area when we went away for a day. The rooms are beautiful and cosy. The AC also heats the room which really made our stay more comfortable since it was really cold in Hanoi during our stay. Everytime we visit Hanoi, we are definitely going to stay here NA

The room was clean, shower was great, the bed was comfy. It's very quiet which we prefer and we didn't mind at all the 20- 30 minute walk to the old quarter. When we didn't feel like walking, we took a bus. We would definitely come back!

• Yaassh (10/5): THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN HANOI - The host is the most welcoming person I've met in Hanoi. The place is pristine and always clean. Any issue she ensures to sort it out asap. She made me fall in love with the entire trip because of the ease with which she was accommodative of keeping baggage while traveling to nearby places. She also recommended places to visit and eat both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. She also made sure that there is no hassle while checking in and out of the property. Nothing!
