Guest Reviews
Molto pacifico. La posizione perfetta per visitare Ayutthaya. La camera non enorme ma molto curata. Favoloso il giardino
- Phakwalan (10/5): My favorite place, see you again 🥰 - Friendly, lovely owners & staffs, beautiful environment, location & property, good food.I love everything in this place.❤️❤️❤️ they have welcome drinks offerred you and helpful owners ( aunt & uncle) will recommend you about attraction locations for sightseeing around Ayutthaya. Everything was perfect 🥰🥰🥰.
Just toilet because guests who stayed before us put too many toilet papers in bidet and it was stucked not good for flushing down that was not the right way to use thai toilet. Dear next guests, please do not put toilet paper or any garbages in toilet bidet.
Thank you very much.
- Mark (10/5): Magnificent. - Mind blowing old building with rooms in a great modern annexe. Loved the garden and the outdoor shower was a dream
- Marina (9/5): Splendido -
- Steven (10/5): - Echt mega gezellig
- Rose (9/5): Great base for an Ayutthaya stay - Quiet and characterful accommodation in a garden-like setting, overlooking a waterway filled with lilies. We appreciated that the hosts were on site when we arrived by train in the early hours, well before check in time, and could organise a breakfast for us - this meant a lot. Our room was large and airy, and the al fresco bathroom a delight. The breakfast choices covered all bases, the rice porridge our favourite. The UNESCO sites are walkable from Baan Tye Wang, but it's as easy to get a tuk tuk there and back for a nominal cost.
- Alicia (10/5): -
- Kristian Emmanuel (9/5): Green oasis in Ayutthaya - Lovely guesthouse with a very green view from the room. You can feel owners take care of the plants with their heart ☺️ Breakfast was included, the owner even changed the menu for us to accomodate our dietary restrictions. Everything was lovely. Because of the vicinity to the water and the greenery there were a lot of mosquitos. Would be nice to have mosquito sprays in the room.
- Stéphane (10/5): -
- FABIENNE (10/5): Zalig! - Paradijselijke ligging en zalige rust! Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Koele, nette kamers met zeer leuke, goede buitendouche!
- Lewis (9/5): -
- Nicolas (9/5): -
- Giovanni (10/5): - Meraviglia!
- caroline (10/5): Hidden oasis in Ayutthaya - The garden is incredibly beautiful and the people at Baan Tye Wang are so friendly. We stayed here two nights to visit Ayutthaya and it was just perfect. Nothing
- Miguel (9/5): Superb -
- Yata (8/5): Very good -
- Tracey (9/5): An oasis near the busy historical sites. - Lovely guest house, which is an oasis compared to the tourist filled historical park nearby, although this is why we chose Baan Tye Wang.
Staff were lovely and spoke quite good English. Breakfast was ordered the night before. We had the continental with Croissant, fresh fruit, and yogurt, which was lovely.
It is a novelty for us having a shower outside but added to the whole vibe.
The garden is a real gem, and I would have been happy to stay longer.
Even had a friendly rabbit! No evening meal option and the restaurants within walking distance were limited.
- Gary (9/5): Lovely stay, nice hosts, would stay again. - We had a lovely stay, the owners were very friendly and helpful. They are able to arrange taxis and tuk tuks if needed.
The garden view is stunning, there were different birds flying around the canal, and a golden stupa in the background.
The room was a good size with a nice outside (but private) shower.
The breakfast was very nice, with a choice of western or Thai food.
The location was good for us, although is a little bit away from the main area of the island, but that suited us as it was quieter, and as mentioned above, the owners called a tuk tuk to take us into the busy areas and the temples, which took about 10 minutes. Nothing.
- Matthew (10/5): Peacful and quiet - Great location, walking distance to Wat Mahathat and lovely being on the water. Very relaxing location.
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (9/5): Tranquil stay nestled in nature - The property is beautiful, with lovely aged wooden furniture. The outdoor area faces a water body filled with lotus. It’s great to spend some quiet time relaxing and enjoying the birdsong.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and they offered a delicious breakfast spread of local and international items. Nothing
- Xin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Perfect stay for touring around Ayuthaya - Beautiful property on a small canal filled with lotus/fish/ and a few big lizards. Very well kept, great location for a quiet area close to the parks/temples. Owners are very friendly and take very good care of property Nothing
- Christiana (9/5): Superb -
- Tida (7/5): Good - Love Love Love the garden. Love the atmosphere. Real Local experience. The air con is loud, lots of mosquitos but thank God we didn't bitten at night.
- Di (9/5): Superb -

- Hélène (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruben (10/5): Great place to stay! consider they only take cash (or so they did when we stayed there) - The Guesthouse place is amazing, a lot of vegetation and clean (considering its like a mini jungle). I would definitely stay there for a couple of more days. They lent you a bike, which is a huge plus! They only take cash.
- Liesbeth (10/5): Superb ! - Very nice rooms with view on a beautiful garden All fine, perhaps the only thing that it is not very close to the temples but you get there easily by tuk-tuk
- Brianna (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and the rooms were lovely. Breakfast was very good as well. Highly recommend!
- Shlomi (10/5): Exceptional - A charming place by the river. Cosy rooms with a lovely atmosphere. Very good and inviting sitting area. Simple breakfast.
- Lizbeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aggeler (10/5): Great feel at home accommodation - Great and lovely arranged rooms which make you feel at home instantly. Outdoor shower in the back of the room, aircon, fridge, big bed and a porch out front. The house is located in a beautiful garden right next to the river with plenty of space for guests. The staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast was really good. The bikes are a bit borderline, but they get you around and never complain about a free bike, but be prepared for an adventure.😊😉
- Clare (8/5): Good all round stay - Good location, attentive owner, clean with excellent breakfast. Parking directly outside, very quiet.
- Katesarin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): I’ll be back - Great outdoors, good architecture, friendly staff and yummy breakfast
- Ewout (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (10/5): I’ll stay again - Beautiful gardens, fantastic building old style main house. Perfect location to a local market. Solitude close to the old city. Fairly close to the railway station and getting around is so easy in the awful Tuk Turks. Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Best place ever, so calm - What a great place! A hidden gem. Very nice hosts, Beautiful place, the garden is stunning. Loved everything. Was nice to come back after a busy day to relax in the lush garden. Nothing! It was perfect!
- Kedkarn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jorge (9/5): Relax - The owner was super nice.
Great garden to relax Bed a bit uncomfortable
- Parichat (9/5): Superb - A wonderful hideaway but still in walking distance from Ayutthaya’s key attractions including the historical park. Spend a peaceful day reading book by the lotus pond under lush green shade of trees already worthy for my whole two days one night trip I spent at Baan Tye Wang. The auntie and uncle hotel owner will ensure to make you feel like home. Breakfast is great and abundant despite limited choices. Comfy bed, outdoor rain showers and large veranda are highlights. Plenty of places for you to enjoy sitting quietly in nature. The place doesn’t offer other meals than breakfast but ordering food delivery is allowed so it doesn’t matter much for me. It would be great if the bathrooms also provide normal shower in addition to rain shower. It will be excellent to have some more seats in the room.
- Olson (10/5): Showering under the stars 🌟 - Everything, just by chance, we chose this Guesthouse. The only thing I can say is wow, the compliments are long.
Breakfast was perfect and very tasty. Nothing, besides had to keep traveling.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Birds
Free bicycle
Breakfast choice
Lovely people
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - the room, the kindness of people, peaceful area quality of mattress, lack of good restaurant in the surroundings
- Ajay (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Beautiful and quiet place near all the sites - Beautiful, quiet, nice grounds, near temples and museums Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - It was a peaceful beautiful grounds. It was a little too far from town. You can use the bicycles to cycle in or walk which took around 15 -20 mins. We used a grab whilst there to the station which cost 85 baht instead of 180 baht for a tuk tuk.
- Ewald (9/5): Superb -
- Aromapoison (9/5): Scenic boutique style near the temples - Love the atmosphere and the beautiful Thai style ambience. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were excellent and tasty. It felt like such a privilege to take in the beautiful scenery in the morning while having breakfast. A lot of mosquitoes coz of all the plants and the canal. Be sure to bring some repellent.
