Daily room servicing was advertised when we booked, we did not get that, no fresh towels, no staff around, the reception was locked and deserted the whole time we were there apart from check in. It seemed odd that the 'no vacancy ' sign was up but there were only 5 cars in the parking lot

• Dean (6/5): OK but overpriced - The manager kindly permitted us to check in early. The location was straight across the road from the golf course - but a good walk (or short drive) to the town centre. The room was large and parking was easy. It was quiet during our stay. The room was ok but is overpriced for its location, its condition and in comparison to the region. It was an old, basic motel room. It had ants inside, food and built up dust and cobwebs underneath the beds, a patched door, leaking tap, dangerous bed head plug and non-working AC remote.

• Scott (8/5): I had a comfortable stay, on a stormy night. - I had a good rest - very quiet off the main road, and no other guest noise. Slightly nostalgic feeling of an old style motel. I came in late and check in instructions from staff were very good. Ageing facility. Leaking bathroom sink tap. No soap/ body wash in the shower. Cigarette butt outside the front door in an ashtray. Pool area is possibly being fixed. (Water was green, concrete surrounds cracked and eroded)

In the bathroom the top besser block had been painted, trying to cover over the mould but it was now showing through which is a health hazard, this needs to be paint stripped, sealed and repainted. The ceiling in the bathroom also needs to be cleaned properly.
