Guest Reviews
- Bianco (8/5): Would like to spend more time there, will stay longer next year. - NA Could not get my car and boat trailer through the gate, but found good parking at end of street.
- Ann (8/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): Lovely Stay on the beach - Incredible location, really cosy unpretentious vibe. Really loved our stay here, as did our pup!
(Also the sukin shampoo and conditioner in the shower were excellent) A few maintenance tweaks - one frypan was missing a handle, the tv remote had no batteries. Didn't bother us much but might be annoying to others.

- christine (7/5): Perfect for travel with dog - Great location. Clean and dog friendly. Washing machine and good kitchen. Overall good. Can park on property but the curb from the road was too high for a low car. Laundry sink for hand wash.
- John (10/5): - Relax on Rickman was spot on. We relaxed on Rickman. All good..
- Bronwyn (8/5): Jan 2026 we Relaxed on Rickman - The shack, was fantastic! Basic but with all the comforts you would need at the beach + an outdoor shower and fully fenced. Location is A+. Jill was also awesome to communicate with.
- Susannah (10/5): - EVERYTHING!!!! there was absolutely nothing i could fault. It was clean, the pillows were super comfy, it was the perfect size, perfect location & so good for what we needed. I just had surgery & i brought my elderly Mum with me & it was a brilliant 5 days. Nothing. Only the fact that we'll never be able to go back😢
- Trish (10/5): Sleeping to the sounds of the ocean, beautiful warm weather very cozy house perfect for once mental health - The location is fabulous. The house has everything you need.
- Susan (7/5): A quiet retreat - The location was excellent, being close to the beach and in a quiet suburb We felt the facilities were a little lacking when compared to other bookings in the same price bracket
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- nancy (9/5): - Location
- Stefan (10/5): - Everything Going home
- ken (6/5): Nice, but there are problems. - Location House in need of some TLC, there is a definite mould problem in the kitchen, shower, windows frames, curtains & walls which was disappointing.
- Monica (4/5): We would not book again. - Location near beach Mattress, bathroom
- Debra (9/5): -
- Maz72 (10/5): Fabulous stay - After booking Relax on Rickman at the last minute, I was delighted to arrive at such a lovely and relaxing property. It was so quiet but very close to shops and restaurants and about a 30 second walk to the most beautiful beach! I loved the rustic look and the interior was very nicely decorated. Very spacious, great shower, comfy bed and great laundry facilities. Very handy to have some salt and pepper and milk in the fridge on arrival. Excellent communication with the host who was very warm and welcoming. Bribie Island itself is a wonderful place and holds many fond memories for me...it was amazing to revisit and just relax in general.
I would not hesitate to book this fabulous place again and hope to return again in the near future! Nothing!
- Amanda (9/5): Soothing sounds of the ocean - What a great little beach cottage! There were elements of modern simplicity mixed with elements of being at Nana's house! The location was perfect for my needs: quiet and away from busyness, with crashing waves as a soothing background, and a 10 minute flat walk to a dog friendly (on leash) beach. (Head north from the house along the pathway behind the dunes to beach entry 1)
The house itself is small enough to feel cosy, but big enough to not feel at all cramped. But the yard... MASSIVE! It's really convenient to be able to drive right up to the back door to unload your stuff. I had a lot of bird visitors too, which was lovely.
Comfortable bed, comfortable recliner, and the little enclosed front verandah is the perfect spot for breakfast or morning coffee.
I look forward to coming back to Relax on Rickman again! There's a whole lot more to like than not. The downside for me was the back "fence", which is really just fencing panels held by star pickets. If your dog isn't an escapee I imagine it would be fine!...but I didn't trust mine to not just barge through.

- Elisa (10/5): - The location was great. Jill was fantastic and very accommodating. I can't wait to stay in this beautiful little home again!
- Jo (7/5): Good -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (7/5): Good - Loved the location. Right next to the beach and in walking distance of everything. Broken hand rail at the back steps
- Hoggett (8/5): Charming little house in a quiet beachside spot! - Wonderful being just over the dune from the surf and at an affordable price. Perfect size for the 3 of us. Simply equipped but great to be able to cook and wash clothes.
- Nikita (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, great block for the kids / pets nice and cosy
- Teisha (9/5): Beautiful little house, quite street apart from hearing the waves all night which we did enjoy. perfect size for a small - Comfortable atmosphere Very open to back neighbours
- Arkady (9/5): ‘Don't judge a book by its cover’ is so true. Gorgeous super clean little cottage on the inside. - ‘Don't judge a book by its cover’ is so true. Scary on the inside. Gorgeous super clean little cottage on the inside. Very well stocked kitchen. Lots of coffee, tea, sugar etc available. Not stingy at all with shampoos, cleaning stuff etc. - all u need is clothing and food. Lovely shady yard for your fur baby. Perfect location - can’t get any closer to Woorim Beach. Will definitely return and will recommend to our friends. Maybe a new Queen mattress would be great. Apart from that - nothing to dislike!!
- Wiggos (6/5): Pleasant - Great beach position but no views. Quiet & private location. Basic facilities throughout, very bright ceiling lights, no reading lamps etc, no luggage or bedside facilities in rooms. Must sleep with bedroom doors open for lounge air con to cool them in summer heat! Bathroom vanity is the laundry tub. Plumbing maintenance needed to toilet, laundry/basin faucet & outdoor shower connected. Bathroom/laundry storage drawers broken. Patio very uninviting & grubby & its corner/stairs post unstable. Overall, some simple upkeep & maintenance would make a huge difference.
- Lindsey (10/5): Perfect quaint holiday home! - Loved the location of this beach house, so close to the beach! Perfect for my family at a great price too! Jill was so friendly and easy to deal with. We will defiantly come back again! The only downfall about this property is having no oven, however there was plug in appliances to use! Next time we’ll pack the air-fryer!
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Trish (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vickie (7/5): Good -
- Tina (8/5): Very good -
- Ligi (8/5): Great spot for a weekend away - Quiet and peaceful, close to the beach. Comfortable bed and very clean accommodation. n/a
- Lorraine (7/5): Good - The house is right across from a beach pathway. The area was quiet and just down the road from the surf club. The yard was nice and secure for our dogs. Everything you need was in the house. Very clean and comfortable. The outside of the house is a bit shabby but the inside was good.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect - Location N/A
- Marie (8/5): Very good -
- Dell (10/5): Cosy beach hut. - Great little beach hut. Close to everything. Need bedside tables and a vacuum cleaner to keep on top of the sand that gets walked in.
- Colleen (8/5): The host was extremely accommodating and just so helpful. We would return in a heartbeat! - The location was quiet yet an easy walk to shops, restaurants. The house was furnished very well with tea, coffee, milk, appliances, easy to use smart tv. It was like being at home. Beach right across the road was great. Nothing really. Front door wasn’t used as suggested but back door was easy access. No undercover car park but we k we that so all okay.
- Michelle (8/5): Value for money - Can always hear the waves rolling, can always smell the fresh ocean air, beach access is right there for humans (dog beach access is up further within walking distance), shops/cafe/pub etc a short walk. Access to Netflix/Stan a bonus when recuperating. Huge yard for dogs or children. We stayed in 3 different air bnb's on bribie and this was the best for quietness and value for money. We will be back. Kitchen definitely needs some steak knives and the current knives need an edge put on them as they don't cut. A hairdryer would be fantastic as it's difficult to dry wet long thick hair after an afternoon swim. Some longer curtains throughout to fully cover louvres would be a much better option, & a curtain at the back door to make it more private. A couple more spare blankets wouldn't go astray as I had to use one from the other room. A wider broom (or vacuum cleaner) to make the holiday more relaxing, as it takes a good half hour to sweep the sand out each day, plus a mat at front door to collect sand from feet before entering would help with keeping sand outside. The 2 single beds need replacing to accommodate for adults who sleep in that room (those specific bed frames buckle easily with an adults weight on it).
- Jamie (10/5): Location Location Location family holiday love the ⛱️ - Location Location Location close to everything you need, shopping beach ⛱️ ☕️🍔🍦🍤🦪🍺🥂🍽☕️🍕🍇🍉🍹
Kids loved the cottage .
It has everything you need comfortable 🛌.
We made the effort to wake up for 🌅 and weren't disappointed.
We were lucky enough to see some whales at the ⛱️
The staff are very friendly and professional. We have a great family-friendly holiday
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Close to the beach and short stroll to the shops.
We’ll be back
- Gerard (9/5): We loved it. This was our last beach holiday before leaving Australia. It recapitulated decades of family holiday memori - A classic Queensland beach house.
- Kristen (10/5): Short getaway - Location is excellent. Quiet, can hear the beach at night and close to shops and restaurants. Jill was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great - Location dog beach, quiet spot, bird life, hear waves, safe yard, great little beach house. Was lovely quiet spot we were extremely tired and I had my service dog so very important to funds quite spo. Neighbours respectful and everyone we met around were lovely people. I choose Woorim because of its safe neighbourhood being a weekend night too. Wanted a place that didnt have loud music blaring. Glad we found it. Liked it all
- Elaine (9/5): We had a lovely relaxing holiday and look forward to a return visit. - Excellent location, fully fenced and perfect for our little dog. Very clean and well equipped and very close to beach and shops. Hosts extremely helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit.
- Lucy (10/5): Awesome location - Having a nice yard and cozy home , kid friendly
- Stephanie (10/5): If you are ever in Bribie island. This is the perfect place to stay. - The location. The house was homely. Had everything we needed. Salt ,pepper, rubbish bags. They thought of everything. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Erin (10/5): Excellent - This is a really cute place to stay. It's very cozy. The only thing that I didn't like was the mattress, other than that everything was great.
- Sandra (8/5): lovely would do it again - Only issue was all the grass burrs around the two entrance doors. We had a dreadful time trying to keep our little poodle frfee of them. Not your usual burrs though, these are awfully spuikey and painful.
- Margie (9/5): Cute little place, close to what we needed & beach walk fantastic - Nice easy property to find. Very Cute was exactly what was required Everything was fine only thing was we went to make a cuppa tea & the milk was off. Apart from that it was perfect
- Tracy (10/5): Great spot - Very quite and relaxing , We will defently have a return trip. ...
- David (8/5): Classic beach shack - not the Ritz but so close to the beach and everything you needed for a weekend -
- Carly (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great time staying here over the long weekend. Jill was very lovely and helpful with all our needs.
The location was perfect.
- Vickie (10/5): A great few days enjoying the laid back environment at Bribie Island. - Close to beach, great yard for the dogs, comfortable furnishings. NA
- Damien (9/5): Superb - It really is about what's on the inside. The outside is weathered, but the inside is a really well presented and clean abode. Walking distance to shops and pub and easy access to the beach. We also left valuables behind and the cleaners and owner were quick to make contact and advise.
- Mandy (7/5): Good - Location is great. Quiet end of street yet easy walk to shops, cafes etc. 1min to beach front. You get the entire house and yard to yourself. Plenty of room for other family to join us next time and pet friendly. I felt it was a touch pricey compared to other places nearby of a much higher quality. Plus side next time we can bring our dog and other family so would make it more affordable.
- Lynette (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassandra (8/5): Very good -
- Mitchell (10/5): Excellent - Excellent little house in what seems a very quiet part of South East Queensland. Very clean and everything was in great working order. Would recommend.
- Irene (9/5): Was exactly what was needed thank you so much - Location n host quick response n approachability Had to get familiarised with gas
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russell (7/5): We likes the place, its preparedness, its ventilation, and the the spot it was in. Great to hear t - It was nice and clen and comfortable, and handy to the family we came to visit. The Toilet Bowl was not fixed to the floor well. The lights in the living room were too dull for good reading after dark.
The shelf in the bathroom stretches over the sink where one leans forward to wash etc, Made leaning to wash or clean
teeth awkward, and I twice banged my head on it.
- Jamie (10/5): Rustic Beach house - Loved the location location location.
Very close to the beach ⛱️
Comfortable beds 🛌 and everything you need .
Great value $ .
Very lovely beach ⛱️ feel to the place.
Great family atmosphere, kids loved it . Only problem is the gate entrance is a little bit tight .
But did I say I ❤️ the Location Location Location
- Cara (10/5): Lovely relaxing place 😌 - Everything, can't wait to come back again 😄 Nothing
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (7/5): The two day extension cost an extra $100 per night changing the value proposition from good to poor - The interior modernity which was at odds with the exterior. It was easy to keep clean and the temperature control was good. All the appliances and cutlery etc. were all good quality.. We have probably damaged the car's sump by driving over the kerb through the small gate. We booked the house because it was right on the beach but access to the beach across from the house was forbidden and we had to drive about 5 km to walk our dog. There was no lamp over the bed which meant one person couldn't read in bed.
