• Chanaphat (7/5): Good - Nearly train station and shopping mall Small restroom and can't use shampoo and shower soap due to was damage. The lift was small.
• zenn (8/5): - The location is perfect and very close to TST station and star ferry. We were not stopped at all by anyone at the entrance so dont really need to worry abt safety. We arrived at 9 pm and there was a long queue at block A and D. Make sure to look carefully which level you are going to as the queue are different. The room is small but its the norm for HK. Toilet is small but able to have a hot bath. Some area need to be cleaned though. Towels and toothpaste toothbrush are provided. No botttled water but microwave and hot water are available at the common shared area. Reception is at level 16 but rooms can be at other levels in blkD or C. Be sure to request for nearby rooms earlier if u book multiple rooms.

• Dennis (1/5): Bad - Nothing to like. 1. They dont change linens / bedsheet - there was hair all around the bed. This after asking the reception to make sure the bed is clean and told me they had a staff checking on it. The staff came back with a confirmation it was clean. 2. The entrance to the hostel is damp and humid and it took 30 minutes to get in the lift after a long queue you will be sweating a lot 3. The photos on booking does not justify the situation you will face before getting into the hostel. It feels like entering a wet fish and meat market.

• Rodolfo (8/5): Very good - The location was great, near the pier and shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and responsive. The room was a bit cramped. There's no space to lay out your luggage. Otherwise, it was fine.

• NANA (4/5): - 日程が急遽変更して慌てて探し直したところ、値段がそこそこですので、大丈夫かなと思いましたが、一晩眠れなかったです。受付の人はとても親切でしたが、部屋はとにかく狭くて古い。エレベーターはいつも並びますし、ビルの入り口の周りに中東系の勧誘が多くて特に女性におすすめできないです。

• Thana (6/5): Fair price and great location, but smelly - The price was quite good for budget hotel and matched with hotel's quality. The location is very convenient. Lots of stores around at night time. Very easy to travel anywhere due to its location being close to the bus station where many buses and subway connecting to other areas are passing. However, there were some downsides as well. First was the building itself was not very new or clean at all. Second was the elevators, one for odd floors and one for even floors with super low capacity of 5-6 people per trip. It was impossible to handle human traffic at rush hours and in the morning you may need to walk downstairs for 16 floors if you are in a rush. Lastly, the smell is rather unpleasant in the room and it won't go away no matter what. If you have runny nose or have high tolerance with weird smell then you can survive this easily, otherwise, bring some spray.

• HIROYUKI (8/5): 狭いだけで快適でした。 - 受付は16Fにあって夜中の3時過ぎでもチェックイン大丈夫でした。部屋は9Fにありました。重慶大厦のエレベータは7人で満員となります。シャワーはちょろちょろだと思ってたらそうではなくちゃんと勢いよく出るよう給湯器？が設置されていました。空調の音が大きかったですがこの時期付けなくても過ごせました。ミネラルウォーターのサービスはありません。
• SUSUMU (6/5): まずまず - 16階の受付にいった後、通された場所は8階のフロア。一人部屋だったのでベッドプラスアルファのスペース。シャワーはトイレと同じ場所であり想定内であるが水量がやや弱い。安い場所なりのところであるが立地など考えると十分合格点だと思われる！
• Verified traveler (2/5): ใกล้แหล่งท่องเที่ยว เดินทางสะดวก - ห้องพักหาไม่ยากอยู่ใจกลางเมือง แต่ทางขึ้นไปสถานที่พักแออัด มีแต่แขกผิวดำยื่นเต็มไปหมดเพื่อหาลูกค้าเข้าพัก ลิฟท์ใช้ขึ้นที่พักเล็ก รองรับได้ประมาณ 7 คน และรอนานและช้ามาก สำหรับห้องพักไม่ค่อยสะอาด ต่างจากที่ได้ดูในรูปของเวปไซต์ ห้องน้ำคับแคบอย่างมาก เข้าไปแล้วแทบกระดิกตัวไม่ได้เลย แถมไม่ค่อยสะอาดเท่าไร กระจกในห้องน้ำเป็นคราบๆ ไม่มีการทำความสะอาด ที่นอนเวลานอนแล้วคันมาก วันรุ่งขึ้นเหมือนมีคนเข้ามาทำความสะอาดเพราะมีการพับผ้าห่มนำมาวางไว้ปลายเตียงแต่กลับไม่มีการปัดทำความสะอาดเตียง แถมเอาผ้าเข็ดตัวไปแต่กลับไม่นำมาเปลี่ยนให้ กลับมาถึงห้องตอนดึกหาผ้าเช็ดตัวไม่เจอ ต้องเดินออกไปขอ ซึ่งเราพัก 3 คน แต่กลับให้มาผืนเดียว ต้องขอใหม่ถึงจะได้ ผ้าเช็ดตัวไม่สะอาดมีคราบทุกผืนและเหมือนใช้จนบางไม่ยอมเปลี่ยน เพราะมีรอยด่างๆของผ้า ในห้องไม่มีน้ำแจกตั้งแต่วันแรกที่เข้าพัก ทริปหน้าคงไม่เข้าพักที่นี่ละครับ เพราะกลับถึงไทยแล้วยังคันอยู่เลย
• Verified traveler (8/5): The best cheap stay in HK - I'm a 5'2 American woman who stayed at the Tokyo Hostel in Chungking Mansion for a little under a month. First, Chungking Mansions (where the hostel is located) is truly one of the most interesting locations in Hong Kong. It features cheap and delicious cuisine from all over. My personal favorite were the cheap samosas sold all over on the first floor. There are cuisines from all over South Asia and Africa so please go try them! Second, the place itself is not for everyone. If you're a traveler looking for the cheapest rooms in HK, this is the place to go. The rooms are minimal in terms of size but towels are provided and changed daily free of charge. The rooms are clean and did not have large bugs (something I everywhere else in HK). The Wi-Fi is absolutely incredible, and was better than most hotels I've stayed at (a surprising perk). Third, I've read too many reviews from people who felt unsafe or uncomfortable because of the large number of immigrants, particularly Indians, present at Chungking. I can understand that the entrance to Chungking can be a bit overwhelming as everyone tries to convince you to go to their restaurant, hostel, etc. but it is not a violent environment. Competition is fierce, and this is an effective way to promote restaurants and hostels. During my time in Chungking, I met so many kind Indians, Pakistanis, people who have lived in Chungking for years, and they always made me feel welcome and safe.

Chambre de 11m2, coffret de sécurité, réfrigérateur, TV et plateau café inclut, photos de chambres intéressantes. À l'arrivée, chambre octroyée à peine 6m2, aucun coffret de sécurité, ni réfrigérateur, ni café. Nous avons demandé d'être changé de chambre. À la réception, on nous dit qu'il n'y a jamais eu de chambre de 11m2. Que les réfrigérateurs avaient été retirés ainsi que les plateaux. Les TV ne fonctionne pas - Qui écoute la télé aujourd'hui nous dit-on. La seule chambre qui nous est offerte est située devant la réception. Un peu plus grande, mais nous entendions tout ce qui se passait à l'extérieur. Les draps étaient tachés. Le lit avait de longs cheveux et le ventilateur au plafond était -enrobé- de poussière. We booked based on the description on Hotels.com website. Room of 11m2, safety box, refrigerator, TV and coffee tray includes, good photos of the rooms. Upon arrival, room barely 6m2, no safety box, no refrigerator, no coffee. We asked to be moved. At the front desk, we were told that there was never a 11m2 room offered. That the refrigerators were removed as well as the trays. Televisions do not work - Whoever listens to TV today is told us. The only room available is located in front of the reception. A little bigger... we could hear everything that happens outside. The sheets are stained. The bed had long hair and the ceiling fan was dust-coated.
• Dave (8/5): 가성비 좋은 호텔 - 침사추이 쪽의 대부분의 호텔들이 그렇듯이 호텔에 머물기 보다는 밤에 잠을 자는 곳이다. 저렴한 가격대가 가장 큰 메이트이고 잠만 편하게 잘 수 있다면 다른 것은 여기서 따질 필요가 없다. 조용하고 깔끔한 내부 공간, 따뜻한 온수와 수압이 충분한 샤워시설, 빵빵한 에어컨.. 가격대비 머물기는 가장 좋은 곳이라고 생각한다.

• Janos (6/5): Good value, clean room - Staff was helpful and kind, the room was clean and well equipped. There's maintenance going on the lifts in the building until 30/04/2017 that results in long queues for people trying to get to their floor. Occasionally had to wait 20-30 minutes or walk up to the 15th floor.

• Mariah (6/5): Budget hotel,price worthy but lowclass environment - This hostel is good for travellers who wanna stay in Hongkong but can not effort an expensive hotel. This hostel is price worthy; you have your privacy, your own room including your own bathroom instead of sharing it like a dorm. Everyday there is the cleaning service, new towels, toiletpaper and cleaning the floor. This hostel is located on the 16th and 17th floor (not a (good) view) of a very dirty, old, big building. It takes a long time to go up and down because there are only 2 small elevators which is used by many people. This mansion is full of rooms rent by immigrants and different hostels owned by Indians. Downstairs immigrants try to sell simcards, Indian food and fake stuff. Every time if you walk there they try to sell, its starting annoying since I stayed 2 weeks in this building. The good thing is the location. The mansion is based in Nathan road, street full of shops, near to the ferry and metro, it is in the centre of Hongkong.
• asdf (6/5): 잠만 잔다면 좋은 호스텔 - 장점 : 침사추이 역하고 매우 가까움 의외로 커피포트, 드라이어, 칫솔치약 등등 갖출건 다 갖춤 단점 : 화장실과 방이 좁음 여자끼리는 비추천입니다. 남녀 가면 청킹맨션 앞에서 말 잘 안거는데 제 앞에 있던 여자한텐 엄청 말걸더라고요. 그래서 전 의외로 안무서웠음 단, 잠만잘거면 가격이 싸니까 가셔도 될듯

• HSIAO YING (4/5): 沒熱水是真的 - 原本住D棟 櫃台check in後 有專人帶到C棟 看了電梯前的牌子 竟不是寫新東京旅社 晚上回去沒熱水洗澡 打客服第一二次沒接 第二次接起來只有講英文的 請我再開關試五次 試完仍然沒有熱水 再打請人來幫忙看 結果被掛電話 房間內算乾淨 比想像中更小 電視打開不論怎麼調整 都無法看 不然就顯示無訊號 這裏單純只是睡覺的地方 沒熱水真的很介意 雖然便宜離地鐵近 下次不會考慮再住

• candy (2/5): 女生千萬不要入住 - 重慶大廈出入太複雜，都是印度人跟巴基斯坦人，環境也不好，女生千萬不要住，晚上進出太危險了，CHECK IN的地方跟住址也不同，花了好多時間才找到，房間清潔也不好，床單上還有男生頭髮!! 我CHECK in後就沒住了，直接換地方

• Alexandro (10/5): Great hostel, great stay! - I'm going to be very honest with this review so everybody can expect (in detail) when you book at this hostel. Let's start off with the staff; they all speak and understand english very well, and are very friendly. They all helped me when I had questions about the neighbourhood, or other small things, which was a big pro. I didn't have a confirmed seat on my flight back, but paid for the room because it was leaving at 0:15 the next day (at midnight). The boss of the hotel told me to call him if I wouldn't be able to board the flight, so he would keep the room free for me just in case. This was an amazing gesture, which shows how friendly the staff of the hotel really is. Apart from that he also helped me with the transport on my way back to the airport (a cheaper and faster alternative to the MTR; Bus A21!) Now about the rooms;I was scared of cockroaches and/or bedbugs when I came to the chungking masions after reading a lot of bad stories and reviews of hostels, but was very surprised to see how clean the rooms actually were. I had everything I needed to sleep and eat/drink, which made my stay very positive. The ONLY con I could find of this hostel was the fact that they didn't completely clean the bedsheets while I was staying here. They provided clean towels and tidied the bed daily, but they didn't clean the sheets (I kept my eye on a small mark on the sheets, and it was there every day again). The room is bigger than I expected (still small!), so overall, great hostel!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good hostel but dirty surroundings - The whole hostel is good, it is very near from the MTR station. The bed was good as well as the bathroom. I got annoyed when I realized that when I came back from the tour, the door was left open when I got there because they gave me towel. The building of Chungking Mansions is also dirty especially on the lobby.
• Verified traveler (6/5): skumt område men ok boende - Rummet var pyttelitet, men hade det mesta som man behöver. Själva byggnaden är fylld av små hotell på olika våningar. Bottenvåningen är fylld av indiska restauranger, och känns som hong kongs "getto". Rätt "skumt", speciellt om man ankommer 3 på morgonen. Men med tanke på priset på övriga boenden i Hong kong, så är det ok för någon natt eller två.

• Cheryl (4/5): Nice Location of the Hotel but not the Building - The Room is very much ok for the budget travelers, it's very clean however the building itself is not, the elevator is small and slow. In case of emergency it will be very difficult to ride the elevator especially the flat is at the top of the building. There are so many Indian Vendors on the ground floor that's looks scary.

• Sophia (8/5): Good experience. - We reached Hong Kong a lot earlier than expected, so we went to check out our hostel for the night in hope that we can check in earlier or at least put our luggage there first. (How we got there from airport) Going to Kowloon from the airport, we took a free shuttle bus to Tsim sha tsui and arrived at holiday inn. It was a walking distance from the Chung King Mansions and we arrived really early in the morning. It was a lot earlier than our check in timing, but the receiptionist was really kind and allowed us to check in into a vacant room despite the ungodly hours. ( luckily there was a vacant room and hospitable service !!) The room was really small but cosy. It's good for its price and the necessities are all provided. Wifi is great. The location is perfect, right across the road is the subway to the trains. A step out is a buzzling city filled with shops and eateries, beside and opposite. The only problem was the entrance till the lift. People may crowd around trying to promote their sales, be it food or any products. It can be very pressurizing and scary, but they are just doing their job. Move along and ignore if uninterested, they will give up after awhile and everything will be fine. Given if I were to come back to Hong Kong, I wouldn't mind staying here again. Its a budget alternative but the rooms were more comfortable than expected. Overall good experience.
