Alles dort, aber zu diesem Preis erwartet man bedient zu werden. Daher überteuert. Dusche funktionierte schlecht. Alles in die Jahre gekommen. Braucht mal eine Renovation.

• Laura (9/5): Es war sehr schön, kommen gerne wieder. - Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit toller Lage am See. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es ist ein Haus mit einigen eigenen Zimmern. Im restlichen Haus kann man sich ansonsten frei bewegen und aufhalten. Das Frühstück war bereitgestellt und man konnte sie an den Sachen selbst bedienen. Die Auswahl war gut. Wir hatten ein paar Probleme mit der Haustür, konnten aber auch spätabends noch die Besitzer erreichen, die sehr hilfsbereit waren.

• Frank (10/5): Absolutely amazing stay and freedom offered - It's like having a luxury hotel room in a shared home. Rather then walking out into a meaningless corridor in a hotel you walk out into an amazing home, shared with the other guests. Seating area, dining room, kitchen, games room, sun room, garden. It's all there! Great to have a lot of flexibility. A few comments suggest it's a bad thing to make your own breakfast but we liked it a lot. The selection of breakfast goods is amazing and of good quality, you can eat relaxed, extent your breakfast, change your mind, have something extra, the flexibility it provides was for us real freedom and added to the experience. We had a very light breakfast before going out in the kayaks directly from the garden (free of charge!) and then had a hearthy 'second breakfast' after coming back. :) We had nice chats with the other guests and the host was really nice as well. If you book this house with a group of friends or family for a bit longer stay you won't be dissapointed! Difficult to fault this house and its amenitites, but for the sake of nitpicking, we used the last bit of honey from the pot. The other thing is it took quite some time for hot water to reach the bathroom. It felt a bit like waste of water because we had to run it quite long before it heated up.

• Linda (10/5): Restful, peaceful, uplifting. - Loved my stay here in the beautiful KISH suite and met some wonderful people who were also staying at the guest house. The communal breakfast table / kitchen is a wonderful idea and the owners kindly allow guests to help themselves to food whenever they feel peckish. In the evening we shared the hot tub and chatted for ages in the warm water, continuing the next morning at the huge dining table, also pulling some newly-arrived guests into our conversation and learning so much about each other! We really did leave as friends. Next time, we'll have to say longer, so we can go kayaking and explore the shoreline a bit. This time, there was too little time.

The common spaces were very large but the room was rather small. The breakfast items provided were underwhelming. Would suggest you go to the Uprooted Cafe and Market instead a few minutes away. Felt a bit like Airbnb - self checkin, no one really around. They reacted fast to messages but really it didnt feel like the luxury in the title is warranted.

• Seattle1 (5/5): The location is beautiful. There needs to disclosure that it is an unlocked shared house with meeti - The location was wonderful. The breakfast items that were left in the house were ok. There was nobody there when we got there, we were an hour later than the estimated time but I sent a message as soon as we left the airport telling the host we would be. There was no way to lock the house. It was a shared experience with no host and none of us had a door code, we did not expect that. The only info we had was a note telling us the door code for our room and what room it was. We were also told in that note that we were the only ones who were booked in the house. One evening we heard a noise in the house to find another person, fine but it would have been nice to know. The worst was that there is a company who holds standing morning Business meeting taking the kitchen and dining room space! We were texted the info the night before. So, no breakfast and the sound from it was loud in our room.

• Daniela (9/5): Wonderful guest house for a long weekend with friends or family - We mainly chose this guest house as we were looking for a place to stay within an hours drive from Halifax airport, there's not that many places. It is a great place for a weekend away with family and friends, it's quite big, with a well equipped kitchen and a spacious dining area and living room, right on the lake with the possibility for watersports. If we lived closer we would definitely come back for a long weekend. If you stay longer and use the whole offer the price is definitely more justified than when you only stay for a stop over. There are only a few places to eat in the area, most closed by 7 pm. But then again - if you come with a group and stay for a couple of days you can easily prepare your own meals.

They had canoes and paddle boards available for the guests. This place is a hidden oasis. Absolutely lovely. With the shared refrigerator it's not quite clear what the hosts items are for all guests to use and what could be personal items of guests.

• Eric Jan (10/5): Geweldige plek om te verblijven - Prachtige locatie, schitterend huis, gratis gebruik van kajaks, vriendelijke eigenaren, prima bed, pooltafel, grote keuken en huiskamer. Bed had een slag groter gemogen, maar was verder van prima kwaliteit.
• shayne darnley (7/5): Good but some issues. - We thought owner very helpful and nice setting. House nice and clean and well equipped. We enjoyed free use of kayaks. However we thought breakfast was poor, had to prepare ourselves, no fresh juice and condiments low quality, ie marmalade poor. Checkin was a bit chaotic no one to greet us or give us any information, tried to reply to message sent earlier in day and got no response. We ended up having to phone, which used international call for us.
