Guest Reviews
- Trung (9/5): - Good location
Amazing host, very friendly
The cooking is amazing there. Make sure to have dinner there No heating in the room
- Jaime (10/5): Perfecta - Todo perfecto Nada
- Saskia (10/5): A magical place to stay in a beautiful family run place on a river. - The whole experience was unbelievably special. I could see two volcanoes from my room, one out of each window! Everyone was so kind, I had two wonderful dinners, the breakfasts were delicious. It was just a very magical place to stay I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to have a calm stay somewhere beautiful. Thank you! That I couldn’t stay longer.
- Andrea (8/5): Rustic hospedaje, run by nice people, across the river from the fancy hotel. Scenery is breathtaking. - Wonderful adventure crossing river; excellent view of Volcán Osorno in the morning.
- Andrew (9/5): Memorable beautiful stay. - Enjoyable out of the ordinary stay. Peacocks, chickens, dogs, and a rabbit to keep you company. Fantastic views of the volcano when the clouds parted. Transport over the river was available each time we needed it on request. Nearby Saltos del Rio Petrohue were spectacular and easily reached by bus. It was cold when the fire wasn't lit.

- Melissa (10/5): - Beautiful spot by the river in Petrohue with amazing views of the volcano. Great dinner available and fresh eggs for breakfast. There's a free transfer by boat if you message on arrival. I had a friendly welcome from Marco and Jessie, with a cold glass of water (I'd just done a 24km trek) and a hot shower. Recommend watching sunset from the dock. I loved the spot but it is very rustic with chickens running around and providing the morning alarm so isn't for everyone.
- Ian (9/5): Location and view amazing plus the novelty of being picked up by boat and run by friendly people - Location excellent. Lovely family running it. Very nice evening meal - the salmon was incredible and draught beer as well! Brekky could have had a bit more. Nice but adequate - filled me up so I can’t fault it.
- Ulrich (10/5): -
- Mark (7/5): Great experience - People were great
Food excellent Didnt realise needed boat access
- Laura (10/5): - La Hospitalidad, super agradables y atentos. Jesy, Marcos, Cristian muchas gracias.
- Joannette bourguignon (9/5): - Amazing staff (Merci Marco)
Very cute property across the river from PetroHua
The friendly dogs and the chickens made my day.
Great food - not really possible to dine elsewhere.
The view of the volcano from the room was breathtaking!
On reviendra Rien
- Robertson Romera (10/5): My stay was peaceful, gorgeous, and in an incredible location. - The hosts, Jessi, Marcos, and Cristian were incredibly kind, and were great company. They gave me lots of recommendations for activities to do in the national park, as well as hiking routes to get the best views. I ate dinner at their restaurant, and had the included breakfast, and it was delicious. I really don't have any major complaints about this place! I will say that it was a little difficult to find the boat to get me across the river to the hostel; but you just have to look for people holding menus and advertising for places to eat. One of them (I met Vanessa), will be advertising the Donde La Nena restaurant, and she'll radio over to Cristian, who will pick you up on the boat. Confusing at first, but all you have to do is ask around :)
- Tilley-vyner (5/5): Family Farm!!! - Location was the best bit, beautiful. Christian was a really strong man carrying our heavy bags like they were feathers. Bed made of pallets, plumbing very noisy, bath tub and bathroom were tiny and smelly. Host's children noisy till midnight, Walls very thin so you hear every sound. Family and staff all lovely. But definitely overpriced 😞
- Robert (10/5): Amazing to see the animals and the music was superb - Excellent, great experience with a trip across the river Nothing
- Silvana (8/5): Very good - Location, breakfast, friendliness, help Rooms were cold
- James (10/5): Exceptional state in a memorable place with a marvelous host - Marco, the host was one of the most friendly and personable people we ever met. He was like our grandpa welcoming us to visit. He is an excellent cook, and we had just about the best trout dinner of my life. He caught the trout himself. The place was spotlessly clean and had a wonderful charm about it.
Compared to the much more expensive resort on the other side of the river, this is the best deal you will find in Petrohue, and one of the best deals we have ever had anywhere.
We have very special memories of the evening that we will never forget, hanging out with marco and eating dinner and chatting, with his very friendly dog playing with his very friendly cat and a big peacock sitting outside.
This is a special treat, go if you can. Nothing
- Philippe-olivier (10/5): Incredible stay good food good price - Marco and Jessy were fabulous super available with great cooking skills the place was immaculate and the nature vibe really brought us to disconnect from the city life
- Anthony (8/5): A rustic quirky accommodation with excellent hospitality from Marcus. - Excellent hospitality. Fabulous views of volcanoes from front bedroom. Great breakfast and evening meal A bit confusing for boat transfer but it was sorted.
- James (7/5): Good - Well located, basic accommodation
- Wojciech (6/5): Check the amount carefully when you pay by card there. - In the restaurant, the menu is short and simple, but really tasty. The accommodation was quite expensive for the standard offered - you really pay a lot for the location. And we had to correct the owners when we were paying, as they were about to add the Booking commission to the bill, as if it was not included in the price.
