• Alexandra (1/5): Awful - The location. When we arrived at the property, we had to navigate the narrow steps while carrying suitcases, food, and bedding, which wasn’t ideal, especially as the rear access gate was locked. However, we managed. The real issues arose once we entered the house. The property was filthy, and in some areas, downright unhygienic. None of us felt comfortable using the kitchen to cook, as the dishes and utensils were dirty. Initially, we thought we could run a quick dishwasher cycle, but upon opening the dishwasher, we were hit with a foul smell and found stagnant, dirty water sitting in the filter basket. Handwashing would have been an alternative, but the old scrubbing brush, gloves, and plug provided were in a similarly poor state. We then decided to make tea, only to discover a bizarre note referencing something "dead" under the house, accompanied by a drawing of a knife. While this may have been a prank, it was unsettling to find. At that point, we began looking for alternative accommodation, but given the short notice, we decided to stay and spend as little time in the house as possible. Unfortunately, this significantly impacted our experience. There are two major concerns that need to be addressed: Cleanliness – The dishes were not clean, nothing was dusted or clean properly. When we moved the TV stand, there were dead insects and accumulated dust underneath, suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. Furniture Condition – The couch was so old and sunken that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on it, and even the dining chairs sagged when used. The furniture appears to be decades old and in need of replacement, which is disappointing given the price of the stay.
• Elise (1/5): Disappointing - Nice views We had to refill the toilet EVERY time we wanted to flush it. Furniture was old and dirty. All glasses in the kitchen were dirty. Main problem was the stairs to access the property. Extremely dangerous and narrow, the hand rail was a flimsy rope and we felt very unsafe walking up and down. I cannot stress enough how ridiculous it is for you to expect people to use those stairs, it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Very disappointed, we left early and only stayed one night
• Elaine (7/5): Great for stargazing - Beautiful deck to see the stars at night. and see and hear the birds from during the day Without the fireplace, it was incredibly cold. There is a heater, but not enough to warm the place.
